*Thoughts*

"Speech"

".Plushtrap Speak."

Several Days Earlier...

"Ugh!!" Shadow Bonnie growled, throwing her hands up in the air. "Why did that dude have t'explode?!I'm still fuckin' sore!! Why ain't our healin' taken care o' that?!"

Shadow Freddy, deep in thought, paid her no mind.

"It's been days, damnit, an' we ain't even got bones, so why the hell--Fred, are ya even listenin'?!"

"Not really, no," He responded, mind elsewhere.

Annoyed, she slapped him over the back of the head; he flinched, then gave her a glare.

"Bonnie, I'm thinking about something important."

He turned away from her and returned to pondering.

After a moment, she poked him in the back of the head."Gonna tell me what it is?"

He sighed."It's about those Nightmares."

Her ears twitched.

"What 'bout 'em?"

He huffed.

"Don't play dumb, Bonnie. I know you felt something too. On that day when we...you know."

She began examining her claws.

"Guilt actually gettin' to ya?"

"Just because the Influence has...worn off a bit." He replied nonchalantly. "I'm sure it will take full force again soon. It probably happened when--"

He abruptly stopped, clenching his jaw; thankfully, he was still facing away from her, so she couldn't see the faint purple blush on his cheeks.

That brief moment, that split second when worry overcame Influence, when concern forherleft a rift in his mind--when the bear exploded--

"When what?"

He wagged his head back and forth, trying to rid himself of the blush on his face. "I may have hit my head a little too hard when the bear exploded, that's all."

She raised a brow.

"We ain't got skulls t' damage the phys'cal brains we ain't got."

He huffed."Well why isn't yours lifted? Ours usually do at the same time."

The black bunny shrugged."I felt pretty bad the other day. Guess mine just came back quicker."

*Odd* The purple bear thought *as I'm the purple here...*

"Perhaps I had a deeper separation this time..."

"Well, whatever. Ya never told me what ya were thinkin' about."

"Right, right..."

He sighed.

"So, our attack was successful. I saw what I needed to see--unfortunately, got to feel some of it too--and have still been observing them. You saw how more of them are...'unlocking' their powers, right?"

A nod in response.

"Right. Well, clearly the Influence is kicking in again, and will soon, so we'll be attacking them at some point. Depending on what exactly we do--to what extent of what we do--may determine if we imprint on them or not, if we haven't already. But we need to strike before more of them unlock their powers."

She thought for a moment, then snapped her fingers.

"So they can't fight back too much!"

"Exactly."

"So...when we gonna do it an' what we gonna do?"

"I have an idea...I'll just need a few days to be ready..."

Present Day...

The moment the Nightmares awoke, they knew something was very wrong.

After quickly gathering in the kitchen (Nightmare getting Fredbear a quick breakfast and Freddy having to go find BB since he sleepwalked and got lost), they began to discuss--and quickly realized an immediate problem.

"Where're the Twins?" Chica asked, looking around as she entered.

"They weren't in their room?" Bonnie asked back, concerned.

"No. The house changed...really weirdly again, so I don't know where they could've gone."

Nightmare rubbed his face.

"You guys are getting that feeling too, right? The same one we had when Fredbear was attacked?"

Nods all around.

"Crud..."

"Should we split up to find them?" Mangle asked.

"Sure, but we have to stay in groups," Nightmare replied. "We don't know what might be...waiting for us."

Agreement arose at that; as the others began splitting off into groups, Bonnie approached Nightmare.

"Hey...you want me to watch Fredbear? Don't want the little guy getting hurt."

The bear looked at the bunny.

"That...would be really helpful, actually. Thanks Bonnie."

After the groups were decided, they split off, Bonnie picking up Fredbear and carrying him upstairs.

Jack-o-Chica shivered, wrapping her arms around herself; she winced at the bruises forming on her sides.

Jack-o-Bonnie rubbed at her ankle, grunting at the pain it caused her.

"Mus' be twisted..."

She glanced around the small shaft they were in; after they'd been attacked, the dark beings had thrown them down a trapdoor.

"Damnit...Cheeks, you okay? How bad did they hurt ya?"

"It hurts pretty bad, but I don't think anything's broken," the chicken replied.

J.Chica looked at her sister.

"Who do you think those two were?"

J.Bonnie thought for a moment.

"Musta been those jerks that beat up the baby..."

The chicken hugged her knees.

"I hope they don't hurt the others," She whimpered.

The bunny sighed.

"Me too..."

However, something else caught her attention.

"Cheeks...d'ya feel that?"

They looked at the floor they were sitting on to find water starting to pool up from under it.

Their sockets widened.

"Oh no..."

"Oh fuck is more like it--"

She got out of a slap that time due to the situation.

"I-It's coming up slowly, so maybe we can get their attention before--before--"

"Good idea!! Start bangin'!!"

They began doing so; unfortunately, they were too far down to be heard.

Foxy confusedly fiddled with his flashlight as he and Nightmarionne traversed down the dark hallway.

The nervous puppet clung to his arm as he proceeded to bat the stem of it in annoyance.

"Turn on, ye stupid--"

Click

"...huh, tha' worked. Wha' d'ya know--"

Nightmarionne flinched back at the sight of the even darker hallway; the light simply showed that the hall stretched on even further.

Foxy's ears pinned back with unease; they nervously continued on.

The darkness became even worse the further they progressed; eventually they had to start taking turns, which cut off the light that was provided from the room they had entered from.

Dread began to grow in both of them; Nightmarionne spoke up.

"M-Maybe w-w-we sh-sh-should g-go back, F-Fox-x-xy..."

"Aye--wai', wha's tha'?"

The fox shone his light on a metal door; his curiosity caused him to walk towards it.

"F-Fox-x-xy, m-maybe we sh-shouldn't..."

"Bu' wha' if t'e lasses are locked in t'ere?" Foxy countered, genuinely concerned at the thought.

That gave the puppet pause; reluctantly, it allowed Foxy to open the door.

The two kids entered the dark room; Foxy shined his light around in confusion.

The floor was full of ridges, set like you were supposed to lay your head in a certain position, which was odd enough; even odder was the amount of them and the strangle noises the two could have sworn they heard from somewhere in the room.

Foxy began carefully stepping over and around the strange ridges; Nightmarionne floated alongside him, having the advantage of being above them.

That advantage lost some of its value when Foxy walked into a wooden pole; the puppet backed away, only to ram its back into one as well.

Foxy shined the light around more to find that around the ridges, there were sets of the poles; that didn't make much sense to them.

Nightmarionne looked up, but couldn't see anything without the light from their torch, which Foxy was still holding.

"Um, F-Fox-x-xy..."

The puppy let out a yelp as he tripped over a ridge and slammed face-first into one of the poles; he dropped the flashlight, and it bounced over several ridges and rolled away.

The fox swore under his breath as he attempted to walk towards it, putting his hand and hook out in front of himself to feel for any poles. Unfortunately, he was still tripping constantly, so he still crashed into them.

Nightmarionne made its way over and grabbed Foxy's hand, helping him along as they went for the flashlight.

The two managed to reach it--

CHINK

A sharp object sliced through the air, barely missing Nightmarionne's back; it slammed into a ridge, sticking to it.

The ghastly puppet shrieked and clung to Foxy, making him stumble and almost drop the flashlight again.

"Aye, Matey, calm down!!"

He shined the light to find a large, sharp blade embedded in the ground; it was attached to a long rope, which led up to the ceiling.

Foxy gulped, nervously shiny the light up.

About a hundred of those large blades were dangling; the odd sounds they had heard were some of them clanking together.

Like the one that had already come down, the others began to j tripping.

However, Nightmarionne let go of him and jumped back when a blade came slicing down between them, actually managing to slice the top of Nightmarionne's wrist when it yanked back.

The puppet shrieked in pain and grabbed its wrist, the pain sending a shockwave up its arm and blood spurting everywhere.

Unfortunately, another came down behind it, slicing one of its legs; that elicited another scream and knocked it down, sending more blood everywhere.

Suddenly, Foxy let out a yell; Nightmarionne forced its eyes open to find a blade coming straight for it.

However, Foxy tackled it out of the way; unfortunately, the blade sent a large gash from his left shoulder to his right thigh, earning a screech of pain from him and a good amount of blood flying.

They landed on another ridge; Nightmarionne fearfully looked up to find another about to come down on them.

Something snapped inside of the puppet; everything got really blurry until it eventually blacked out.

It found itself back in that strange place, with the purple version of itself.

The other seemed pleased and nodded, extending a hand.

This time, when they joined hands, something burst, releasing; a wave flew over the void, somehow energizing the puppet and releasing it back into the normal world.

When Nightmarionne's eyes snapped open, it used its non-injured hand to fling a purple beam at the blade coming for them.

When it connected, it sent a shockwave up; the blade froze, being temporarily stunned.

When Foxy opened his eyes, he was just as surprised as his companion; however, he grabbed it and began stumbling as fast as he could to the exit, trying to avoid more as much as he could.

Despite the pain, Nightmarionne managed to fire off more beams, freezing as many as it could before they got to them.

Unfortunately, the puppet ran out of energy fast; it swayed, then collapsed against the fox.

Foxy yelped slightly; when he realized what happened, he shakily lifted Nightmarionne onto his back and continued running.

Pain shot through him as the other's body pressed against his wound; luckily, he managed to stumble through the doorway right before getting his head sliced off.

Falling to his knees, the vulpine gasped for air, sweat beginning to leak from his body as well as the blood on his back.

He shakily turned around, pulling the door shut; he heard a faint clicking sound as it locked by itself, sending some dread through him.

He looked down at Nightmarionne, who gave off small coughs as it stirred.

"Marion...? Ye...alright, Matey...?" He managed to cough out; some blood fell from his jaws.

The puppet managed to shake its head.

Foxy reached his hand around to touch his back; when he pulled it back around, blood covered the metal, doubling the metallic smell that emitted from it.

"We be'er...ge' cleaned up..."

However, he decided to lie down for a moment to rest, eyes drifting shut.

Plushtrap shot an annoyed glance at BB, who strolled along next to her, hands folded behind his head as he was lost in thought.

".Brillins."

His ears twitched, but he didn't respond.

*Balloons thinking hard. Very weird.*

".Brillins."

When given no response then, she impatiently reached out and smacked his side.

That got his attention.

"Sorry, what?"

She rolled her eyes, chirping something.

"Oh, yeah, Freddy was making those stupid gaga eyes at Mangle again, and whenever Nightmare said we should stay in groups, I casually mentioned to 'im that 'e could always ask 'er to pair up, and next thing I knew 'e was gone off with 'er. But, gotta stay in pairs, sooooo..."

He shrugged with a sheepish smile.

"Hi."

That just earned another eye roll from the bunny, who looked away.

".Frin trim."

"Is that "fine then" good or bad?"

She ignored that question, causing him to look away.

She sent him another glance, noticing how nervous he was; he wasn't being his usual witty or chaotic self, and as previously mentioned was quiet and thoughtful.

Stopping, the wolf looked in the library.

"I'm surprised Freddy's not in there already..."

Plushtrap nodded at those words; since the bear was nowhere in sight, she went ahead and walked in, looking around.

BB followed her, calling out for the twins.

"Jack-o-Bonnie!! Jack-o-Chica!! You guys in here?!"

Upon hearing no response, the two headed up the staircase to the second level; however, Plushtrap's ears twitched at a cracking sound.

She stopped, looking down.

She squinted, unsure if she was seeing cracks in the carpeted stairs or not.

BB stopped and turned around, looking down at her from the higher step he was on.

"What's wrong??"

The green bunny looked up at him, chittering.

"Cracking? We should probably get off--"

However, when he took a step down, the whole staircase caved in.

The two kids screamed as they plummeted down with the rubble that used to be a staircase; Plushtrap managed to grab onto a railing that was still connected to a chunk of stairs and flip herself on top of it, so when they hit the ground she was rattled but relatively uninjured.

BB, on the other hand, landed on one of his legs first and then collapsed on his side.

He gasped from the suddeness of it all, the coughed at the dust that flew up around him.

Plushtrap jumped down and walked over to him, asking if he was alright.

"Yeah, I should be fine--"

However, when he stood up, he crumpled and fell on his face.

"On second thought, my ankle might be broken, 'cause I think my bones are rubbing against each other."

She frowned.

".Drinin trir hurn?"

"Uh...actually, no, it doesn't hurt..."

When he looked up, she looked as befuddled as he felt.

"I don't think that's normal."

She shook her head.

He looked up at the gaping hole in the now-ceiling; the dim light from the library shined down on them.

"Freddy's gonna kill me for that..."

Plushtrap began walking further in, looking for a way out.

This seemed to be part of the "basement" of the house, like the underside between the normal first floor and the foundation.

Her interest was piqued, but she knew there wasn't time to explore--although, the Twins might be down here...

Unfortunately, her companion was injured, so with a huff, she continued looking for a way out.

She was surprised to find a large vent in the wall--big enough to crawl through.

She turned around and walked back to BB, chittering about what she had found.

"A big vent?"

A nod.

"Huh, that's weird that it's all the way down here, but okay."

Stumbling up, she helped him limp towards it; they climbed in and began their trek.

Plushtrap regretted being behind BB on the upward climb, as he was having trouble getting his claws to stick to the smooth metal and it caused him to constantly slide down onto her.

Eventually, he started really digging his claws in, leaving various breaks and scratch marks in the metal.

Once they got on the horizontal plane it was easier; however, they soon found themselves in an area with no openings, thus rendering them hopelessly lost.

"Uh...you have any idea where we are?" BB asked the bunny, turning around slightly to see her.

She shook her head.

"Welp. That's bad."

The vents were dark without the light from any rooms pouring in; when he turned around and they attempted to progress, Plushtrap noticed two things.

One, she could see really well in the dark; after her eyes adjusted, the place looked like it was only mildly dimmed.

Two, BB seemed to be afraid of the dark, as he was shaking a little.

*Strange...*

Her ears twitched at the feeling of air flowing over her fur; she realized that the heat was on.

Unfortunately, the heat continued to get hotter and hotter as they progress.

BB's ears pinned back as he began to sweat.

"Uh...you feel that? It's, uh, really hot in here..."

The bunny grunted and nodded, starting to sweat as well.

They began to hurry along more--especially when BB yanked his paw up in suprise.

"That's really hot!!"

The metal was heating up fast; Plushtrap flinched as her fabric fur began to burn.

".Mrev, birit!!"

"I'm moving, I'm moving!!"

They began crawling as fast as they could; the metal continued to burn them, staring to leave marks after a while.

BB knew the heat was getting to them, and when there was a thunk behind him he realized how much.

Panting, he whirled around; his eyes widened upon seeing that Plushtrap had passed out.

Panicking, he tried to think of what to do; he eventually settled on biting her by the scruff of the neck and pulling her along.

That slowed him down even more, but he managed; despite the growing burns on his body, he felt no pain, just heat.

Eventually, the wolf came across a split in the vent; he knew that if he didn't find an exit soon, he would pass out as well, so he needed to pick the right one.

Ears pinning back, he glanced between right and left; his paws shook as he blinked away little black spots in his vision.

*I don't know which one...*

Suddenly, something clicked in his head.

*Wait, right would be going in, so that means...*

He began crawling left as far as he could, attempting to blink more dots away.

Fear clutched his heart as he progressed, unsure of his choice; however, his heart lept in his chest as he saw a vent cover approaching.

Slower, he crawled over; he pushed on it as hard as he could, attempting to break it off.

When he couldn't, he began to slam his burnt paws onto it, trying to alert someone nearby that they were trapped in there.

As he slumped over, passing out, the vent cover came off.

Freddy shot nervous glances at Mangle as they walked along; the usually chipper vixen had frown on her face as they searched.

"Hey, Freddy...you have any ideas? You're smarter than me."

The bear bit his lower lip and began to think; for once, he was stumped.

"To be quite honest, Mangle...I am unsure right now. We have been looking for a while now. And the house is very peculiar, and we most likely would not be able to enter many of those rooms without seriously injuring ourselves."

"Yeah..."

They stopped for a moment to think; Mangle sighed, leaning on the wall.

Said wall proceeded to cave in, sending her falling down with a scream; Freddy fearfully rushed over in an attempt to grab her before she plummeted, but to no avail.

"FREDDY!!"

The bear had fallen to his knees; however, at the sound of her voice, he gripped the edge of the new doorway and stared into the darkness.

Due to the light now pouring in from the hall he was in, he could see that there was a long, thick cord hanging from the ceiling; Mangle had managed to grab a hold of it and was clinging for dear life.

"Mangle--!!"

"Freddy, if I climb up, can you grab me?!"

"I will try!! Be careful!!"

The vixen began squirming for a better grip; once she had it, she began slowly climbing up.

Freddy summoned three of his Freddles.

"Try to find a way to help her!!" he commanded.

The smaller bears began searching the area; sadly, they came across nothing.

An idea sparked in his head.

Summoning more, he pointed at the wall.

"It should be brittle!! Try and break off a large plank!!"

As his children got to work, he turned his attention back to Mangle.

She had managed to get higher, almost to the top of the rope.

However, a loud noise diverted both of their attention; the rope began moving up, Mangle yipping in surprise as it took her with.

Freddy looked down to see a large box coming up the saft.

His mind flashed back to one of the books he had read recently.

*Wait--this is an elevator shaft!! Mangle will be crushed!!*

"Mangle!! There is an elevator coming!! You must jump!!"

"A what?!"

"A large vertical transportation unit!!"

"English, Freddy!!"

"A very big box that carries people up and down between floors!! You must jump or it will crush you!!"

"But I'm not all the way up yet--"

"You will not have time to get there!! Here!!"

His Freddles had just finished with the wall; he helped them blance the jagged plank to hang out for her to grab onto.

She hesitated, but upon seeing the elevator coming, she swung herself around and attempted to jump.

The vixen managed to grab onto the other end, but just barely.

"Freddy if you move it I might fall!!" She shrieked in terror.

He grit his teeth, trying to think of a solution.

He didn't have much time as the elevator came up, Mangle releasing a screech as it first hit her legs and then took the rest of her.

Freddy's eyes widened as he screamed her name: his claws lit up with grey electricity as he slammed his hands into the floor.

Suddenly, the shaft came alight; he was knocked back as everything shuddered, large pointed crystals emerging from all directions and impaling the elevator.

When he sat back up, his jaw dropped; the elevator was stuck in place, heavily damaged.

Mangle rolled off the top, tumbling down the crystals and onto the outside floor with a groan.

Freddy rushed to her.

"Mangle, are you alright?" he asked, Freddles returning to his body.

"Ugh...everything kinda hurts, but yeah, I'll be fine..."

After a moment, he helped her stand; she yelped and stumbled, prompting him to catch her.

"On second thought, I think my leg might be broken."

"I will help you walk," He offered, putting an arm around her back and putting one of hers over his shoulder.

"Thanks..."

As they began heading back, Mangle looked at him.

"Hey, Freddy?"

"Yes?"

"Thanks for that, back there...I didn't know you could use crystals!!"

"Neither did I," He confessed, blushing. "I have not practiced my powers much."

"Huh. Well either way...thanks."

His blush intensified. "Of course.."

However, they paused upon hearing banging from a vent cover.

"I don't understand," Nightmare spoke to Chica. "We've looked everywhere!!"

"I know!!" She replied. "This makes no sense!!"

They came to a stop on a certain tile.

"Well we better find them soon--"

The floor opened up, dropping them in.

The two screamed as the plummeted, eventually landing in water.

"HOWDY!!' Jack-o-Bonnie screamed. "TOOK Y'ALL LONG ENOUGH!!"

"GIRLS!!" The two cried in surprise and relief, before getting a good look at the Twins.

Their lower halves were beginning to turn grey as the water rose, seeping into their hollow skin; they were both shivering, and covered in bruises and scratches from earlier.

"You didn't happen to bring a heater, did you?" Jack-o-Chica nervously asked.

"How long have you guys been down here?! Nightmare asked.

"And who did this?!" Chica asked angrily.

"Purple bear, black rabbit, NOW GET US OUT, DAMNIT!!"

"Okay, Bonnie!! Lets us figure something out!!"

Unfortunately, their shaft was narrow and inescapable; the only way out was up.

An idea sparked in Nightmare's head.

"Chica, can you swim?!"

"Yes!! I used to practice when we lived with Old Man Consequences!!"

"Then give Jack-o-Chica a piggy back ride!! I'll get Jack-o-Bonnie!! We have to swim up with the water!!"

They got in those positions; as the water rose, the two made significant efforts to swim up.

However, as they did this, the water began rising faster; eventually, their heads became covered.

Nightmare panicked a little.

*The Twins!! This is bad!!*

He put all of his energy into forcing his way up; Chica did the same, both holding their breath.

When they reached the top, they realized that the door had closed.

Channeling his energy, he placed a hand on the door, firing.

After the large blast of energy subsided, the kids climbed out, hacking.

After a moment of rest, nightmare looked at Chica.

"Can you go get something to warm them up?"

Nodding she ran away; Nightmare pulled them close, attempting to provide body heat.
