The Secrets Of The Second And Third Keys

Apologies for the extremely late update. I've still been feeling a bit up and down but I'm hoping I get it sorted soon. Because I would like to update as frequently as I have done previously! So anyway…Now we are heading into the next chapter ladies and gentlemen! Obviously we are almost coming to the midpoint in the story, and it only gets more confusing yet intriguing from here! RDJ will now learn the secrets of the next two keys, whilst living in that moment to figure out what happened in the past with Jair and how things fell apart all those years ago…Let's not waste any more time! Let's get right to it!

RDJ stared at the same kind of circular key that he was holding the first time he was here, trying to learn the secrets that was within this Ancient artefact.

Everyone else was in the other room waiting for him to finish…Although Tomada amongst them was very concerned for his best friend. Because he didn't want him to lose one of the best things that had ever happened to him in his life.

"Okay…so I already know about the bird who was interrogated about a blue spix's macaw who betrayed the assassins. But now we will learn what happened a few years later?" RDJ was speaking to himself as he tried to translate the words that were inscribed on the key. "That's strange? This was dated at least 7 years after the first one? I wonder what Jair is trying to show me…"

The blue and gold macaw knew all about what was going to happen to him, so baring that in mind he prepared to be sucked into another world as he clenched his eyes tightly.

"Here…we…go!" And after the key glowed a bright gold like last time, he got sucked right into the key as if he were possessed a second time…and awaited to see the second memory that Jair wanted to show him.

(Jair's Hidden Message Part 2: Learning Who To Trust – The Year 0009 – Jair At 25)

In this time of the day, the skies above looked dark and gloomy as it was a very quiet night in the jungle of Rio. Away from Mexico, due to the fact that the war had previously ended between the assassins and the thugs.

Many of the locals seemed to be moving their lives in freedom and peace, considering the thugs were defeated a few years ago. But of course they always tend to keep on their toes in case they needed the assassins to protect them…even though there weren't many of them left.

A group of birds arrived at a waterfall in the jungle which was located in the centre of Rio. One of them appeared to be a male blue and gold macaw wearing an assassins robe with a hood which covered his eyes, but his beak was visible of course. He looked severely annoyed for some weird reason. That said bird was of course had to be known as Jair, the head of the assassins.

"Seven fucking years! And there is still no sign of her anywhere! This would he the very last place that I thought she might be…" The assassin spoke to himself as he sighed heavily in disappointment.

A black owl male with a scar going down the side of his cheek arrived besides him, but his body did have a couple of tentacles sticking out, which of course indicated that this was Adelmar and Devil Darkness.

"Mentor, we have been searching these grounds for nearly a decade now? What makes you so sure that she could be here?" Adelmar pondered whilst cocking his head to the side whilst waiting for an answer to give him that much needed reassurance. Well…not that he needed much of it anyway.

"If you have noticed that everywhere we searched, she was nowhere in sight or hasn't even been there in the first place…This would be the very last place that we should check. Would I lie to you?"

(Of course not mentor! But I still don't get how she could be here of all places?)

Devil Darkness added to the curiosity that filled his host's mind.

"Trust me…She HAS to be here!" Jair emphasised, while he took a moment to catch his breath.

Not even acknowledging the fact that there was a military macaw female with a coil of rope around her left shoulder, strolling alongside Adelmar. But she wasn't really someone that was known as well as the others were.

"I am here by the way you two! Or have you forgotten about my presence already?" The female spoke up very irritated that they were basically blanking her.

"Thank you for stating the obvious! Just get the rope ready for getting inside the waterfall. If we fly in there we could easily get swept down the waterfall."

"I think this is a really bad idea master! We already killed off The Legion Of Thugs 5 years ago! How can you be so sure that this is where she could have gone?" Adelmar spoke with a confused tone, as his friends just sighed in response. "This kind of looks like the place someone would go to cry or drink?"

"I never really told you the truth about me and Juliana have I?" Jair responded sadly, as he placed a wing on his shoulder. "Let's just say that we were…kinda closer than one might imagine…"

(I thought you two were lovers?)

"Devil Darkness! That that is not the way to ask him something as personal as this!" Adelmar argued with his friend, whilst the military female started to tie the rope up on a tree to make it secure enough for them to swing on.

"It's okay Adelmar. Yes, we were a married couple once. But…she left me after she betrayed the assassins, but I haven't seen her for the past 9 months after we tried to work things out."

(Well you didn't do a good job!)

"Would you relax? I'm sure that once we head in there, we can find out what was the cause of our assassin order falling apart! If anyone knows anything…it's Jair!" She confidently stated once the rope was securely fastened. "Right, well this is tight enough."

"Oh good one Carina! Like we couldn't have figured that one out for ourselves!" The black owl smirked and rolled his eyes at the female who revealed to be known as Carina.

(If you were so smart, you would have said something wouldn't you?!)

"Shut up Devine! You know nothing on this!" Adelmar grumbled as his friend just giggled and rolled her eyes.

"If I didn't have to babysit you two, I'd be in and out of there quicker than you can say one two three!" Jair broke the two of them up and just got to the rope to get ready to swing.

(Or do you mean in and out quicker than you were in and out of…)

"Don't…Say…Juliana!" Jair pointed his wing at Devil Darkness, who immediately fell silent. "Good! Now will all of you shut the fuck up? We've got to get in there and find her!"

The head of the assassins took a deep breath in and then out. Before swinging on the rope, disappearing into the raging waterfall.

Adelmar and Carina both looked at each other and sighed heavily in defeat, before they too swung into the waterfall themselves.

Carina used the rope to get inside, but Devil Darkness extended his tentacles and swung into the waterfall that way.

After the trip landed in some kind of hidden cave behind the waterfall, all three of them had a little look around the scene…and it was incredibly beautiful.

The cave looked illuminated by the shining glow of the waterfall, and it was so wonderful that Adelmar and Carina were completely mesmerised by the sight. K my pop

(Wow…this reminds me of our first date! Don't you remember Devine?)

Devil Darkness asked his lover, who just smirked in amusement giving him a little shove.

(Hmmm, funny! That's not how I remember it…I remember when you couldn't finish…)

"DEVINE!" Adelmar shouted in disgust whilst covering his ears.

"Will you three shut the fuck up?!" Jair angrily snapped at his friends before taking a little look around the cave.

It definitely looked like someone stayed there because there was a nest in the corner of the cave, with half eaten mangoes and nuts hidden under the leaves. Someone was definitely staying here.

"You think Juliana fled here after the guilds were wiped out?" Adelmar suggested whilst tearing through some of the piles of leaves for any evidence.

"Possibly…she was never exactly the same bird I met when we first got together after I refused to stop leading the guild." The blue and gold male sighed and placed his wings on his hips.

"You gave up your love for her to continue being an assassin?" Carina asked whilst giving him a saddened look.

"I made a commitment to run this guild until the day I die! I can't just throw it all away! I loved Juliana with all my heart and she knew that! But as things stand…she wanted me to stop being an assassin and retire with her. But I already lost so many good assassins out there during the war, that I still needed to prevent any more of my friends dying." Jair explained whilst rubbing his eyes. "Haaaa…If only she supported me when I needed her most…I can't believe she…"

Suddenly, a glass jar smashed on the floor and a figure started running into the deeper depths of the cave.

"HEY YOU! STOP!" Jair shouted out to the random stranger who tried to make a break for it.

But luckily due to Devil Darkness having extremely long tentacles, he shot out two of them towards the fleeing bird. Gripped them tightly around his body and yanked him back towards the head of the assassins. Who was rather impressed by his friend's quick work.

"Wow! That was fast…" Jair remarked whilst widening his eyes in surprise.

(You're welcome!)

Devil Darkness cockily remarked whilst smirking in such a smug manner. Causing Jair to chuckle a little as he thought his work to bring the fleeing victim back was very impressive.

"Please! Let me go! I don't know where Juliana is!" The bird cowered in fear whilst being restrained by the black owl. "I promise I don't even know who she is either okay?!"

The head of the assassins crouched down to his eye level to look him deeply in his eyes. As he lifted his chin up. Pulling the hood he was wearing back. Revealing a young blue throated macaw.

"I never said I was looking for Juliana, did I?" He asked in a very unamused voice, as he clicked his wingtips for Adelmar to make Devil Darkness tighten the grip on the bird.

"Mmmmm…Stop! That really…really…hurts…"

"Now…how about you just cut the bullshit and tell me where she went?" Jair asked again and kneed him in the face to torture him even more.

"Ackkkk…Stop! I can't…Breathe!" The male wheezed in agony, trying to kick the assassin off of him, but Jair was far too strong for him.

"Then tell me where Juliana is!" He asked once more, as his impatience was growing and his blood was boiling. His grip tightening around the throat of his victim. "Or we can just make things just a little bit tighter!" The blue and gold macaw assassin clocked his wingtips again, and Adelmar just tightened the grip eve more. Meaning that he was now struggling to even breathe at this point.

"Please! I don't know!" He wheezed and patted, as sweat was running down from his forehead.

(LIAR!)

Devine screamed from within Carina, who held a machete up to his throat.

"You are not in any position right now to lie to me, are you now?! Tell me where Juliana went!" Jair ordered him, as he extended his hidden blade. "Tentacles, a hidden blade, and a machete? Oooh…I wonder what we could do when all three are attacking you at once…"

"OKAY! OKAY! I'LL TALK! I'LL TALK!" The bird screamed in fear. As he felt teardrops rolling down his cheeks from being so paralysed in fear.

"That's what I thought…" The blue and gold macaw assassin moved his wing slightly to signal his friends to back off. And they bowed their heads and obeyed. Leaving a very weakened male blue throated macaw struggling to get his breath back. "Now…tell me what you know."

"Haaaa…Okay…Two years ago after the guilds were destroyed, she came here with the soul purpose of finding the staff that you retrieved in battle. But after she found out it wasn't here, she took off and took everything." He explained in agony, as he spat out a little blood in the process.

"Is that all?" Adelmar asked with his eyes narrowed, with the black owl leaning up against a wall.

"She came back here a few days ago to pick up what was left behind. But nothing was really here that she could take…apart from…one thing…but she had to kill someone who was taking care of it…"

"What? What is it?" Jair asked eagerly as he leaned in closer to listen to him. "Who did she have to kill in order to get it?"

"I don't know! I've never met the girl in my life! But what I can tell you, is the one thing they returned for?"

"Well?! SPIT IT OUT!"

"Come closer…"

Jair leaned in a little closer, aiming his ear towards the male's beak…and after a few seconds…he whispered a certain something I his ear…but it must have been something so shocking…because after he heard it, he immediately sliced the male on the throat. Causing him to choke on his own blood before falling lifelessly on the cave floor. "Descanse em paz…"

The assassin walked away for a brief moment, and put a wingtip on his chin to think. His friends were concerned about the way he was acting. So they had to say something.

"Master? What did he just tell you?" Carina asked in concern as she placed a wing on his shoulder.

"She took him…" He whispered in a really annoyed tone…as his wings began to tremble.

"Who?" Adelmar also asked as he edged closer to him.

"My son…Juliana took…our son…"

End Of Memory…

"HUAAAAAA…Haaaaa…Haaaaa…Shit…" RDJ quickly dropped the key on the table and buried his face in his wings. As he quickly shot back to reality after learning the second secret on the second key. "So that's how he knew about his son? Interesting…You would have thought that he would be more calm about the situation. When in reality…he seemed more annoyed at the fact his wife took her son away from him…but why?"

"Mentor? Are you okay in there?"

RDJ turned his head around to see Tomada entering the study with Keith. But he was incredibly concerned as well as the barn owl for their friend.

"I'm okay guys really. Listen, Tomada…I need you to stay here with me whilst I have a look at the second key! As for Keith, I need you to try and find Monifa, Aiden and Allie." RDJ seemed to be a bit annoyed whilst he was talking.

"Are you sure? I can give you some space…" The peregrine falcon replied whilst scratching the back of his head.

"No, I need you here because I need to talk to you about this. Keith, you need to find Monifa, Aiden and Allie! They still haven't come back yet."

"Alright, I'll find them mentor!" The barn owl replied and saluted him. Before leaving the church to go and find his friends. Whilst the falcon remained in the room with RDJ to talk about what he had just learned.

"RDJ…we have to talk about Lila!" Tomada made his point to try and get his best friend to talk about his wife. "She didn't seem to pleased when she found out about the birthday surprise."

"Not right now buddy, I already delayed this by a few days! I just need you to stay here with me while I learn the secrets of the third key, then you need to wake me up when the lights stop glowing."

"And then what?"

"Then I go and find my wife! I am getting so close to the truth now…I just need your help!" The blue and gold male beamed, placing the second key next to the first one. And he picked up the third key, ready to use it. "You ready?"

"Yeah but…You sure you shouldn't talk to Lila first? She is so pissed off with you!"

"Well…She won't get any more angrier if I stay here a little longer. Don't you agree?"

"I guess…But doesn't that bother you?" Tomada asked as he cocked his head to the side.

"Of course it does! But I just can't drop everything right now to go and see her. Because she knew that if she was going to come here with me, I had to do all of this to finish my father's work! I never asked her to come on this trip with me. This was her choice!"

"I understand that buddy. But…"

"Tomada, I promise I will talk to her as soon as I'm done learning the secret of the third key! Now please, just sit on that chair, and wait for me to finish reading the message." RDJ calmly but seriously spoke as he pointed his wing at the chair besides him.

"Haaaa…I can't argue with my best friend can I?" The falcon chuckled as he sat down on the chair next to him.

"Alright…remember…only wait for the key to stop glowing before trying to wake me up."

"Alright, just get this over with!"

"Okay…Haaaa…Let's…Go!" He gripped the key tightly in his right wing, and a powerful glow once more illuminated the room. And soon he got sucked into another memory of Jair.

(Jair's Hidden Message Part 3: Heartbreak Is The Worst Kind Of Suffering – The Year 0024 – Jair At 40)

Far away from Rio…In the sleet and hail…a bird was flying at maximum speed, whilst wearing a cloak to keep them warm in the blistering winds that surrounded them.

They had two birds alongside him, both of them were clearly associated of his, and revealed to be none other than the black owl Adelmar, and the military macaw female Carina. So you would only assume that the male bird flying ahead of them was their mentor and head of the assassins…Jair.

"Hurry up you two! The sooner we get there, the sooner we can find him!" Jair sounded so keen to find who he was looking for. He even had what appeared to be a staff gripped tightly in his talons as he shot across the skies.

"Mentor? Are you sure that coming to Minsk was a good idea? Surely they would have chosen to go somewhere a little more…obvious?" Adelmar hugged and puffed whilst carrying his machete and equipment on his back. Despite him being fairly built up and strong to carry such weapons.

"I know where she took him Adelmar! It took me 15 years to find her! Despite everything that's happened in between…I finally know where she took our boy!" The blue and gold macaw male answered him in determination. Picking up his speed to fly even faster to go where they needed to.

"Sir? You haven't told us why she even decided to come here? This isn't exactly the most peaceful of places!" Carina remarked quite tiredly, feeling the muscles in her wings just ache more and more as she flew.

"Do you remember when we discovered that weapons were being shipped out of Mexico to a hidden location?"

"Yes?" Both of them replied whilst nodding their heads.

"Well as it turns out, the weapons were shipped to Belarus in case of the assassins destroying The Legion Of Thugs! But after we defeated them in Mexico and in Rio, there were either one of two places where they could have gone in this situation. Either to The Amazon which both of you checked with me. Or, here in Belarus! But we have to be very smart with this, because we don't know where Juliana could have gone, especially since the place must be hidden away somewhere."

(Hey! How about that big looking building on the top of that hill over there?)

Devil Darkness suggested as he used his tentacle to point upwards, leading the three of them to avert their gaze to some old looking building that was on top of a particularly large cliff.

"Good work Devil Darkness! Now, let's get there before anyone decides to step in and cause any more problems!" Jair remarked, as the trip then changed their course of flight to the building. Which looked pretty large and quiet…considering it was dead in the centre of Minsk.

A few more minutes of flying was not a problem for Jair, as despite his older age he still had a lot of stamina in him.

But as for his two associates, even though the two of them looked like they were incredibly fit and fast flyers…both of them did feel slightly knackered.

(Haaaa…Haaaaa…Haaaaa…Fuck! I don't know what's more tiring! A night with you Devine, or this long trip!)

Devine blushed on the inside of Carina when she heard this cheeky little remark from Devil Darkness. But Jair was in no mood to humour them at this time.

"Okay, if you two are done flirting with each other, I'd like to actually focus on the task at wing?!" The blue and gold macaw slapped Adelmar and Carina on their wings to snap them out of it.

"OW!" Both of them groaned whilst rubbing their sore wings.

"Oh come on? I'm sure I didn't hit you hard enough to hurt you?" The head of the assassins was rather amused by this.

"IF THAT DOESN'T HURT, I KNOW WHAT WILL!"

Suddenly, Jair quickly turned his head to face where the voice had come from…and from out of nowhere…a certain someone he knew all too well, was standing up on the roof of this huge sanctuary. Standing alongside a younger male.

"SON! WHATEVER YOU ARE PLANNING ON DOING, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!" Jair screamed out loud to the bird who revealed to be the son that he shared with his wife Juliana. But for some weird reason…She just stood there completely still…not moving a single muscle. "JULIANA! GET DOWN HERE SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT THIS…"

Just when you thought his former lover would say something in return to spite him…she was shaking in a really poorly manner. Quivering her beak as if she had been drenched in the Arctic Ocean.

"I wouldn't even try to talk to her father! You see…before we came out here, I injected a paralysis poison into her drink. She has at least…" He checks the position of the sun in the sky to analyse the time. "Three minutes left…Have fun…DAD! HAHAHAHA!"

The young hybrid macaw drop kicked the blue female off of the roof, and she began to fall so quickly, gravity playing a huge part in her body falling faster. As it edged closer and closer to the ground.

"JULIANA!" Jair called out as he tried to fly up to get as fast as he could to catcher before she fell to her death from being unable to fly.

But luckily Devine and Devil Darkness both shot out their tentacles to catch the fallen macaw, and managed to stop her from falling…but unfortunately for Jair himself…he had little time left to talk to the girl he once loved.

After a few seconds when Devine and Devil Darkness placed her on the ground in front of the head of the assassins. Adelmar and Carina took a few steps backwards to give their friend a little bit of space.

Jair kneeled down and held his former lover up in his wings, as he sadly lowered his head to face hers. As she struggled to breathe whilst shivering slightly to show that she didn't have a lot of time left.

"J-J-Jair…What…What are you doing here?" Juliana coughed a few times to spit up some blood. As it ran down the sides of her beak.

"I came here to find you! Why did you take him away from me? I warned you about what would happen and you never listened!" Jair replied sadly himself, as he cradled her close to his chest. "You never really were a good listener…" He smirked a little, brushing a wing up against her cheek.

"And you…Cough Cough…You always put work before me…" Juliana whispered with a slight smirk herself, as she felt her body getting weaker by the minute. "Jair…Honey…I have to tell you something…And it's important…"

"What is it? What do you have to tell me?"

"Our son…Isaac…He is planning to rule the world…" Juliana coughed up some more blood, as she felt her life slipping away.

"Stay with me Juliana! Stay with me!" Jair sadly muttered as he felt tears rolling down his cheeks, as her breath began to feel shallow and heavy.

"J-J-Jair…"

"Yes…"

"If only I was a better wife…None of this would have happened…" Juliana spoke with a very weak breath, as she suddenly fell very limp…and her head began to fall backwards slowly…as she drew her final breath.

"Juliana…" The head of the assassins whispered, as his heart felt like it was eating him alive. "JULIANA!"

But unfortunately for him…Juliana was no more…she slowly departed from this world. And moved straight onto the next.

"No…My love…My…My heart…Soul…My reason for life…" Jair whispered in such a saddened manner…as he felt nothing but pain and suffering inside…"Descanse em paz…mi amor…"

Who knows what his next move was going to be now…

End Of Memory…

"HUAAAAAAA…HAAA…HAAAA…Haaaaa…Hooooo…" RDJ immediately shot him self up from the desk and buried his face in his wings, letting a few tears emerge from his eyes as the key dropped on the floor of the room.

"Dude! Dude? Are you okay?!" Tomada grabbed his friend by the shoulders and shook him a couple of times to get him back to real life. "Wow, you've been like hypnotised or something for over an hour? What happened?"

"I…I'm not sure? It seems to me that Jair's son murdered his own mother and Jair's former lover. To make him suffer? Which is weird, because that's exactly what happened to my father. My mother was murdered and then shortly after Felix killed my father." RDJ explained as he placed a wingtip on his chin.

"The same thing happened twice? Wait.,.You seriously don't think that…Fred is trying to do the same thing?"

"I highly doubt that Tomada. Fred only wants Lila to probably fuck her, then move onto the next female he can see." RDJ chuckled as he put the second and third keys in the chest with the first one.

"So, speaking of Lila…Are you going to go and see her now? It had been a couple of hours since we returned here." The falcon was so sure that if his best friend we t tpbb no talk to his wife now, then maybe they can actually have an adult conversation.

"I completely agree buddy! Obviously it had been a while since I have had a conversation with my wife! Let's just hope Lila isn't as ruthless as last time!"

The head of the assassins grabbed the staff from the chest, and proceeded to head towards the exit, but Tomada quickly grasped his shoulder, and he spun around to face his full face of concern.

"Look…just…don't be too aggressive with her! Let's not forget that she is the one who is mad at you! So doing anything else may make her angrier." Tomada patted him on the back, causing the head of the assassins to smile at him before departing the church in search for his wife in the city. And just when he disappeared from the church, Jameson appeared besides the falcon and looked pretty nervous about his mentor.

"Do you think that this will be a good conversation?" The black owl pondered when also noticing the the uncertainty that Tomada was clearly showing.

"Lila has been very upset for a while now buddy…So…I couldn't tell you, because I don't know."

"They've just got to fix their marriage though? They can't just end their relationship now! Both of them need each other!" Jameson beamed as he rested his wings by his sides.

"I know buddy…I know…"

Now, I want to obviously apologise for the extremely late update! I haven't been feeling that great lately, but I'm back now and can't wait to share with you the rest of this story! So, as the story has gone on, we know now that Lila is on the breaking point with her husband and is very upset with him for many reasons to be clear. But is this the final straw for her? Not only that, RDJ learned more about Jair when he found out that Jair's love of his life was murdered to make him suffer. Which really was the same way that Leandro and Amber died. So is Tomada onto something when he thinks Fred may be trying to recreate the cycle? Who knows! Anyway…I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, and I'll see you all soon for the next chapter!
