Jasmine's POV

After Annabeth had taken Percy away from us, I complained to Luke of how much of a bitch she'll probably be to him.

He agreed and decided that we go and steal him some toiletries. I sighed and said, "Fine."

Now, of course, Luke being a son of Hermes, the god of thieves, he means steal literally. So when we went to the camp store, I chatted with the cashier while Luke stole some things for Percy, keeping her distracted.

Now, I consider myself to be quite fair about pretty much everything, so I told the cashier through telepathy that Luke was stealing and that I would pay for the stuff he stole secretly. So after he stole them and we left, I told the cashier that I'd be back in a little while to pay for them, and after we got back to Luke's cabin and parted ways with a hug, Toothless and I went back to the store.

I know that Luke's my friend and I shouldn't do that to him, but he shouldn't steal in the first place. Besides, I tell him every time I do that, and he doesn't get mad at me for doing it. Annoyed, but not mad, because he actually expects that from me. But if he expects that from me, why does he bring me along every time he goes and steals something? Because I'm his little girl and he loves me. That could be the only explanation why. Plus, he likes me to do that with him than Emily, his own girlfriend, because she wouldn't even let him do it, but I would, then pay for it later. At least I wouldn't deprive him from doing his favorite thing to do.

Anyway, after I paid the cashier, Toothless and I stood together in front of the store.

"So what do you want to do now, Toothless?" I asked.

He shrugged. I don't know. What do you want to do?

I thought about that for a moment. "Let's go to the archery range. Chiron should be almost done with his class for the day."

Toothless nodded.

I climbed onto his back and we flew off toward there.

When we got there, class just ended, and everyone was clearing out of the range, which means that I would get to be alone and practice.

Archery is my second favorite weapon to use other than my dual blades. In fact, I have my own bow and quiver of arrows that I went to get in my cabin on the way here. But I wasn't going to practice alone, apparently.

A few minutes after beginning to practice, Toothless told me that someone else entered the range. I turned around and saw Will Solace. Since he's a son of Apollo, the god of archery and many other things, it makes sense why he would come to the archery range.

He noticed me and tried to act nonchalant and failed. I smiled sheepishly and turned away.

Ok, he's cute. I don't know if I want to date him yet, but I could at least try to give him a chance. But first, I need to let him now know that I'm interested in him, and I need to do that now.

There were about ten targets set up. I took the one on the far left and Will took the one on the far right.

I caught him stealing glances at me sometimes, and I blushed. I came up with an idea to get close to him, though I don't really like it. I'm very good at archery and have very accurate aim. All I have to do is focus on one spot, no matter how small, and I'll hit it. And that's what I'm going to do.

I grabbed my bow, nocked an arrow, and set its aim. I focused on the spot just about an inch from the outer circle of the target, far from the center. I pulled back the arrow, breathed on it, and let it go.

It hit the target right where I wanted it to. But I acted like I didn't like the result of it. I tried a few more times, aiming farther and farther away and hitting those exact spots. I faked a sigh in disappointment.

It was so good that Toothless came over to comfort me.

Are you ok? he asked. You're usually better than that.

I faked another sigh. "Yeah. I'm just a little rusty."

I rubbed his head.

I looked over at Will and saw that he shot two arrows, one hitting close to the center, and the other a little farther from it. He nocked another arrow, and it hit the center that time.

I decided to make my move then.

I walked over to him. "You're really good."

When he noticed me coming toward him, I swear, with my super hearing, I could hear his heart start to race.

"Uh, thanks," he replied. "You're good yourself."

"Seriously?" I said, sounding a little mad and upset. "I'm terrible. The more you shoot, the more closer you should get to the bulls eye, not even farther away from it."

He chuckled. "Some days are better than others. I've watched you before, and you've hit the bull's eye every time."

"Oh. You've watched me before?"

He started to turn red. "No. I mean, yes. Well . . ."

I couldn't help but laugh. He was being so cute. "It's ok. You can watch me. I don't bite. Well, I do. But only if you piss me off."

"Good to know," Will said. "But I don't watch you because I like you. Umm . . ."

"I know what you mean, and it's ok. But I watched you just now, and I'd say that you're better at archery than I am, which makes sense since you're a son of Apollo, the god of archery."

"Thanks, but I'm not that good. I shot a few arrows, and only one of them hit the bull's eye."

"Still. Your other arrows are still closer to it than mine are."

"I still think I'm not as good as you."

"I beg to differ. Do you want me to show you how bad I am, since you apparently can't see all the way over there?"

"Ok. Show me how bad you are."

"Gladly."

I nocked an arrow, aimed at the target next to his, and let it go, hitting very far away from the bull's eye. On purpose.

"See?" I said, gesturing to the target. "I suck."

"It's not you that sucks," Will said. "It's the target that does."

"Yeah. And who's shooting at the target?"

"Oh. Good point."

I laughed. "Yeah. But you can be honest with me. I promise I won't hurt you if you are, but I will if you're not."

"Ok. Well, your aim sucks."

"I agree. Can you help me with it?"

"Uh, do you want me to?"

"If I didn't, I wouldn't have just asked."

"Right. Ok then. Can you nock an arrow?"

I do so and aimed it at the target. He adjusted the way I held it with both of my hands by holding them with his.

The moment got a little awkward. I could feel his breath on me. His face was just a few inches from mine, but I wasn't going to kiss him, not during the first time we actually spoke to each other. Though I so badly wanted to, and I don't know why.

I let go of the arrow, but it missed the bull's eye again.

I sighed.

"Well, you got closer this time," Will said.

"But not close enough," I replied.

"You'll get it."

"Yeah. But not today. I'm giving up for the rest of the day."

"Ok. I'm Will, by the way."

"Hi, Will. I'm Jasmine."

"That's a pretty name, Jasmine."

I smiled. "Thank you. I'll see you around, Will."

"You too, Jasmine."

I thought about giving him a kiss, at least on the cheek, but I still thought that was too much.

We said goodbye, and Toothless and I walked off.

You didn't introduce me to him, Toothless said when we were about halfway out of the range.

I smiled at him sheepishly. "Sorry. I was caught up in the moment. Speaking of which. . ."

I grabbed my bow, nocked an arrow, and turned around.

"Hey, Will!" I called.

He turned toward me.

I aimed my arrow at the target closest to him, pulled back the arrow, closed one of my eyes, breathed on the arrow, and let it go.

It hit the dead center. Will stared at me in awe.

I smiled back. "I suck at archery."

And with that, I turned around and Toothless and I left the range with my mind freaking out.

I flew on Toothless until I spotted Annabeth. She was going toward our cabin. I had Toothless land near her and I dismounted from him.

"Hey, Annabeth," I said. Then I noticed something peculiar about her. "Umm, why are you all wet?"

"You haven't heard?" she asked.

"Heard what?"

She started telling me about Clarisse picking a fight with Percy, her getting the upper hand on him, and dragging him into the girls' bathroom, but I stopped her.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait," I said. "Clarisse got the upper hand on Percy immediately, dragged him helplessly into the bathroom, the girls' bathroom no less, and you let her?"

"She told me to stay out of it," Annabeth argued.

"Stay out of it to beat him up after he just lost his mother and has his whole world turned upside down. Are you fucking serious, Annabeth? You are a terrible friend."

"He's not my friend."

"Still."

"Can I continue telling how I got wet?"

"Fine. But then I'm kicking your ass, and then Clarisse's."

"I'm sure you will. Anyway, after Clarisse got Percy into the girls' bathroom, about to plunge him into a toilet, something weird happened."

"Wait," I said. "How about you show me instead?"

"Fine."

I touched her forehead, copied what happened from her brain with my powers, and made it into a holographic image in front of us.

I watched the whole thing and was surprised and happy to see the toilets explode and knock Clarisse and her sisters outside, and everything was wet, including Annabeth, but Percy wasn't at all.

They went outside, Clarisse threatened him, Percy replied back with a great response, and the whole scene ended with me laughing.

"Oh my God, that was awesome," I said. "And I love that last thing Percy said to Clarisse. I like him even more now."

"Do you think he caused that flood in the bathroom?" Annabeth asked.

"I don't know. I mean, he looked just as surprised as you guys were, but he may have caused it without realizing he did or how he did it. When Clarisse brought him into the bathroom, she said that he was like 'Big Three' material. I think she may be right."

"But the Big Three swore an oath not to have any more children."

"Yeah. But that doesn't keep them from ever breaking it. I mean, look at Thalia."

"Ok. But do you really think that he's a child of the Big Three?"

"It's possible. And the power surging from him is really strong."

"It is?"

I nodded. "Yeah. You know how I told you that the power surging from you is stronger than anyone else's, making you the strongest demigod here?"

Annabeth nodded. "Yeah."

"Well, you're not anymore."

"I'm not?"

I shook my head. "No. The power surging from Percy is a little stronger than you, making him the strongest demigod here now. And I wouldn't be surprised if he is a child of the Big Three. And since he's the boy from your visions, I think you know he is."

Annabeth looked down. "My visions never showed me anything to prove which of the Big Three's son he is."

"No," I agreed. "But you just saw proof in person of which one of them he could be."

"Yeah? And who's that?"

"Well, which one of the Big Three deals with water?"

Annabeth stared at me as she realized who I was referring to, and she didn't look happy.

"No," she said.

"We'll see, Annabeth," I replied. "Hopefully, he's claimed soon, and we'll find out if he's his son or not."

Welp, I'm back. Sorry it's been slow updates. I'll be trying to update a little more often now that I think I'm ready to getting back to writing chapters for this story, which I can't stop thinking about. I'm just so glad winter's over now. What about you? And how'd you like this chapter? FYI, if you guys write fanfictions or anything, Word 2016 is the best thing to use to do it.
