Arrogant Ayato
"I am, at this moment, what I have always been to him; an object of beauty. He has never loved me as a woman." - Philippa Gregory
I had a bad dream last night. Everything about it seemed real I still remember it clearly. It was about vampires, which was funny because I don't read books or watched movies about those creatures since Moonlight. I cringed as I remember reading it.
I got up and looked around my room. Nothing has changed, except that the bedsheets were pink. It wasn't like that before. Did the maids change it yesterday? How come I didn't know? My head hurt. My whole body felt tired and heavy. Did something happen to me?
"Are you ill, little bitch? You look sexy in that negligee," someone said. Who is he? Why is he in my house, specifically in my room? When did I change my clothes? Why can't I remember anything?
"Get out of my room, right now!" I ordered.
"Ooh, you're so bitchy, and so is your aroma. That attitude of yours makes you so hot I can't wait to taste you."
"Don't touch what belongs to yours truly without permission," another one said and pushed him away. He looked so familiar. He was the first and the last person I saw in my dream. As he reached me, someone suddenly told us we were going to be late. I remembered he is Reiji, while the other boy in the bed is Laito. It wasn't just a dream, and this wasn't home.
Reiji told me to get changed. He told me we were going to school. I stood up and looked at the window to find that it was already dark outside. I was confused. "You take classes at nighttime? What are you, vampires or something?"
"Of course, we are! Don't you get it?"
"You're funny. Pardon me, Reiji, but I won't go."
"You don't get to live your previous life anymore. As long as you live in the Sakamaki residence, you need to adjust to our lifestyle. If you have complaints, you can leave right away." Did he tell me to leave? I looked at the other boys. They were surprised either. I guess he did. I took my luggage immediately. The other boys snickered as I bade them goodbye. Reiji looked angry.
"Hurry up and get changed!" he hollered. His words seemed to echo in the room after they disappeared. I complied because I'm curious about night school anyway. I checked my uniform and it was lovely. I felt happy for a moment but it was gone when Ayato reappeared in my room and told me he'd help me get changed.
"I can do it myself. Thank you very much!" I led him out of the room.
It was obvious that the Sakamakis are extremely wealthy, but a limousine as a school service was too farfetched. What did they do to become rich anyway? Did they use their 'vampire' powers to get all of this? I looked at all of them to find answers. They look related to each other, but not really. Did they all share the same parents? They all look the same age, except for Kanato. He looked young with his teddy bear which he clings to.
"What were you thinking, mountains?" Ayato asked.
"My name, if you don't know, is Yui Komori. I will appreciate it if you call me by my name instead."
"I don't care! For me, your name is 'mountains'!"
"I don't think I'm that big for you to call me mountains."
"Not all of you, just your…" he stopped and stared at my chest. How dare he name me by his impression of my breasts? Not only do I have to live with a freak, but also I have to live with a pervert. He was about to come at me when Reiji stopped him and gave me cranberry juice. I immediately consumed it because I felt hungry.
"Look at her, Teddy! She's so excited to be our prey!" said Kanato. When will they stop the vampire stuff? I find it so irritating.
Reiji informed me that I was to be classmates with Ayato and Kanato as we alighted from the limousine. He also told me I would be punished if I do anything reckless. As if that would stop me.
I looked around the classroom to distract myself. The writing on the board read that the food prep in Home Economics is to assemble at the training room at 7:30 pm. I head there and left both of them behind. It looked like they have their own business, anyway. If anything, I was thrilled to be back to school again.
Our first task was to cook Takoyaki. It was quite easy. I got the ingredients and proceeded to cook them. Everyone did too. There was nothing different between morning and night school, really. Except for those weirdos studying here.
Speaking of which, Ayato only came after we were done with our Takoyaki. He ate one of mine. I can't believe this guy, wandering anywhere he wants and eating my food without my permission. If only I was strong enough to punch him in the face.
The class ended and the instructor told us that our next class will be in half an hour. I wandered around the halls and found the library. I can't help but miss my friends. The library used to be our hang-out back then.
I was amazed when I entered it. Its bookshelves were so tall you'll need a ladder to get the books. I looked for a place where I could lounge peacefully. I opened the book I brought with me which was about the architecture of mansions, which looked like the Sakamaki's. I opened it out of curiosity. There was a blueprint on the first page. The succeeding ones were landscapes, gardens, and mazes. There were also the secret passages from one room to another and within the perimeters of the mansion. It read that those passages were made for anyone who wishes to leave discreetly. Good heavens! I may have accidentally found an escape route.
"What are you reading?" Ayato asked. He and his brothers' act of appearing out of nowhere will always be a mystery to me.
"Nothing," I replied casually. I immediately closed the book. I stood up to bring the books back where I got them. I was about to leave when I felt him grab my hand and pushed me down the table. I felt all my strength drain out of me as he bit me. Maybe they were actually vampires.
It hurt too much but it stopped when Reiji caught him. He told Ayato he didn't dream about the latter doing it in the library, of all the places. I hoped he didn't dream about him doing it with me either, but then I remember him telling Ayato to do it in his private room. While they were arguing, I took the chance to run but I felt weak. I can't even lift my legs. Everything around me spun.
Why was I in the pool area? I got up and found Ayato beside me. I told him I should go back to class but he just stared at me. He dumped me in the pool. I swam back easily.
"What is wrong with you?" I asked. He was surprised to find me standing next to him. He was gone for a while. When he came back, he put weights on my ankles and dumped me again. It wasn't easy, but I was still able to swim despite the weights on my feet. What Ayato did next horrified me.
"Tell me I'm the best. Tell me I'm better than anyone else. Tell me you're mine," he demanded. I was almost out of breath but luckily, I managed to take the weights away. I was getting out of the water but then Ayato dragged me back with him. He kissed me as we went under. I pushed him away, but he continued to kiss my neck and my shoulder. Then he bit me again. No one will stop him this time. Will he be able to kill me? I hope he will.
But he didn't. He got us out of the water. He gave me a towel and he left. I felt tears welling in my eyes. Why did it happen to me? When did I become a toy to play with? Worst of all, there went my first kiss. I know I shouldn't be crying about it due to my present predicament, but I made a vow to give it to the man I will love in the future. I won't be able to do it from now on. What will my friends think of me? What about father? What will he say if he finds out?
I remembered his diary back in the room where I saw the woman with purple hair. I took it only to find out that his entries were no longer there. Who erased it? Why was it all gone?
