A/N thanks for your reviews and support.
Yumi Edogawa: thanks for your review my friend. It's going to go over just about as well as you might expect. I can confirm no Toshinori will not. An offer might be made but the only fic that has/already has plans of giving Izuku OFA is Disciple of the Dragon.
Izuku's POV
A yawn escaped him as he sat on outside of what should have been an abandoned warehouse. If his sources were correct it was far from being abandoned. They claimed it was being used to smuggle and traffic Trigger.
Originally, Trigger was created to massively enhance the power and potency of weak Quirks. However it was soon used for criminal activities, so it was banned in many countries, including Japan, becoming an illegal product. Which would be why the gangsters and drug dealers were using this abandoned warehouse. They were trying to avoid suspicion.
Trigger is produced in different regions of the world, so its quality can vary from one place to another. Those produced in Asia are usually of poor quality and their effects only last a few minutes, while the Trigger produced in America can last an hour or two.
Izuku knew that Trigger addicts suffer a side-effect after the use that changes their tongues' color to black. Generally, it was injected into the body, but rumor had it a new group was working on making a possible variant that only needs to be ingested to work. Although it's likely less effective than the other form, it lacks the psychotropic element.
If Trigger had really returned to Japan he needed to know. Tsukauchi and Eraser needed to know. Otherwise a hero would get caught off guard and would be killed or severely injured.
While he was still avoiding the detective as much as he could he didn't want to see the man hurt. It was just... difficult to decide how he felt about being the man's soulmate. Realistically he knew the detective wouldn't hurt him. At least he hoped not.
Everything he knew about the man was from them working together. When Tsukauchi still thought he was an adult with a powerful wind quirk. If Tsukauchi thought they were soulmates then he would know that Izuku was a child. More specifically that he was a twelve year old running around the city at all hours of the night. Or in his current case in the bright sunny hours of 2 in the afternoon.
It was too early for someone like him to be awake. He wanted to go back to his sleeping bag. But he couldn't. Not if he was to get the information he needed.
A buzz came from his pants pocket and he pulled out his phone. A small smile crossed his face at the name. He was sure the man did not approve of the nickname.
AppleBottomJeans: Where are you?
Limitfinder: On a stake out. Why?
AppleBottomJeans: Alone? Isn't that dangerous?
Limitfinder: Nothing in our jobs are safe, Jeanist. It's easier for me to stay undetected if I'm alone.
There seemed to be hesitation before Jeanist answered.
AppleBottomJeans: Are you sure? I wouldn't mind shifting my patrol route to your area.
Limitfinder: Don't you dare.
Footsteps had Izuku's head shooting up. Men in suits were coming out of the warehouse. In one's hand was a briefcase. That must be what they were keeping the Trigger in. Time to move.
Limitfinder: Time to go. Let you know if I need help.
With that his shoved his phone into his pocket and followed them out. He kept to the rooftops and a safe distance. While most people wouldn't think to look up when it came to being followed he wasn't going to take the chance.
He followed them across the city to one of the richer districts. Encasing himself within the wind to hide his presence was the safest option. Otherwise in this area he would stick out like a sore thumb.
They arrived at a building that was out of place in the sector. It used to be apart of a shopping center before it shut down two years ago. Supposedly someone was renovating it for reopening later this year. A perfect cover for someone who was up to no good.
Without following them Izuku would have never thought to look here. As someone who patrolled the poorer districts it would be an odd sight to see Kage. Spotlight heroes frequented the area but without a reason to believe they were smuggling Trigger they wouldn't have stopped people from coming and going.
It seemed Izuku wasn't dealing with the average idiot criminal. Watching the criminals was interesting. They went in and out of the newest hideout.
Nothing about it seemed like there was a deal going down. Using the wind to hide himself again he made his way to the building. There was a single window that he could see.
There was a few men in the building but they weren't paying any attention to the window. In fact they didn't seem to be paying attention to anything. They were only talking amongst themselves. Pulling out a bug he placed it on the inside of the window.
Then he pressed the comm inside his ear to sync them. After that he moved back across the street. Where he would spend until nightfall waiting for the sign that the deal was going down. Orion brought him his vigilante gear later that day when it seemed he wouldn't make it back.
Aizawa's POV
It was a quiet night. Not an unusual thing but it made him nervous when it happened. The only thing that was unusual was that Kaze hadn't made an appearance. None of the criminals he apprehended had seen him either.
Where was that vigilante? As far as he knew he wasn't injured. Unless it happened tonight. His phone pinged pulling him from his thoughts.
How to Annoy your favorite coffee addicts
Pantsonfire: Any sign of him tonight? Best Jeanist said he was working on a case.
Mr. Whiskers: Nothing yet. None of the criminals I have come across have seen him either.
Pantsonfire: Damn it. He's still avoiding me.
Mr. Whiskers: You still don't want to tell me why?
Pantsonfire: Not until he has okayed it first. It's not just my secret to tell.
Mr. Whiskers: Okay then. I'm here if you need to talk.
Shouta sighed. The detective and vigilante were keeping secrets. What an odd pair that made. He was about to start his patrol again when another ping came from his phone.
Limitfinder: sent location
That was on the rich side of town. What was Kaze doing so far out of his patrol route? Shouta had never seen him that far into the spotlight heroes region.
Mr. Whiskers: On my way. Tsukauchi gather a team. It has to be big if he is on that side of town.
Pantsonfire: Already on it. See you there.
