"Assassins & Pokémon"

Chapter 03: "Meet Team Rocket"

Present Day

Kunugigaoka City to Kokkitero Town
Inside the Academy, 8:00am.
"Arrival of the Akabane Household"

Following the events of meeting Kiyoko from the previous story, Karma and Kiyoko headed home to Kokkitero Town.

"Dad, mom, we're home!" said Karma and Kiyoko.

"Oh, Kiyoko," said Mr. Akabane. "Ready to become a Pokémon Trainer?"

"Dad, Kiyoko's going extreme mode," said a calm Karma.

"HUH!?" said the exaggerated Akabane parents. "Kiyoko's going extreme mode?"

"Yes. She'll become tough as her entire adventure progresses. See, she got the wits to those of mine and her courage to battle anyone."

"Yep!" said a cheerful Kiyoko with bright determination. "I'll do my best to toughen up like my older brother here!"

"Hey!" said a voice from the other four. "Who said you're going on extreme mode?"

"Oh, it's Kara-nee!" said an amazed Karma and Kiyoko.

"How did you know?" said the four: Karma, Kiyoko, and their parents.

"Extreme mode is said to be the highest difficulty setting in this Pokémon x Assassination Classroom crossover! There will be battles that don't use items in anime, or even the Challenge Mode!"

Everyone wowed at Kara of her explanation, except Karma, who always kept his cool.

"Uh, Karma?"

"Oh, forgot something, Kara-nee?" asked Karma. "Kiyoko can handle any kind of adversity she has faced throughout the entire region."

"That's the Karma I'd like to see," encouraged Kara, giving her brother a fist bump, which made their parents smile with a lot of bliss.

"Kara cares about not only us," remarked Mr. & Mrs. Akabane, "but also Karma and his clever mouth as well as his knowledgeable wit and cunning. Kara's like a parent to her siblings just like us."

"Kara-nee, thanks," said Karma thankfully. "You've always been a great-"

Before Karma can finish his sentence to his big sister, Kara, a TV show has announced some strange news.

TV: "Breaking News! It appears that two people have been dropped into the water safely, along with a talking cat that also became part of their group. Who could they be: Hero or villain? Find out in Kunu Region News Channels! Stay tuned!"

As the entire Akabane family finished watching the strange news, they wonder who they are.

"Never mind about them, everyone," said Karma explanatorily. "If they're about to chase us, we're all goners."

Everyone is worried about Karma's explanation, which caused them to shake in fear.

"Don't worry too much, everyone. Only the bravest of trainers can battle the villain group real fearlessly. Like Kiyoko." Karma's explanation made Kiyoko blush.

"Thanks, Karma," said everyone thankfully to Karma.

"Did I miss something?" said a voice behind from the other five.

"Oh, Rika Chino!" said Kara. "I see you're babysitting Kiyoko from the past years!"

"Yep! I'm happy to see Kiyoko become a Pokémon trainer after all!" said the voice was the family's babysitter, Rika Chino. "I'm really glad that Kiyoko is a future Pokémon master!"

Rika's remark also made Kiyoko blush again.

"Oh, hey everyone," said the Akabane parents, waving their arms to everyone. "We're going on a vacation for work. Take care of yourselves!"

"Bye!" said Karma, Kiyoko, Kara, and Rika as they waved theirs to the Akabane parents.

"Hey, it's those brats and their parents," said the silhouette of the first. "Maybe we should catch them by surprise."

"No, Jessie," said the silhouette of the second. "We have to keep ourselves low-profile."

"He's right, everyone," said the silhouette of the third. "Shall we?"

The three mysterious shadows snickered while keeping themselves low-profile of their presences, making them unnoticed to everyone. They tiptoed out of the way to keep themselves quiet to avoid anyone of their alert presence, with the bush they're holding.

"Hmm?" thought Karma, anticipating the area that something moved. He looked back, and then shrugged and acted as he didn't care. He walked to the other three back to their house.

"Breakfast Time"

As everyone, minus Akabane parents, they said "Itadakimasu!" before eating their meals. After that time, something rang from Karma's phone.

"Everyone, please hold on," instructed Karma, going to a private place to call someone from his phone.

"Hello. Who is this?"

"It's me, Koro-sensei," said Koro-sensei. "I watched the news about those three falling into the water."

"You knew?"

"Yes! I heard that they're mysterious sneaky fools who try to steal Pokémon from others. Tell your entire family to stay safe, okay?"

"Thanks." Karma finished the call from Koro-sensei via his phone. Kara arrived.

"Karma, what's going on?" asked a curious Kara.

"Those three…I can feel their presence," said Karma calmly. "It feels like as if they're moving, like from a bush."

Kara let out a relieved sigh from her brother's answer and shrugged curiously. "Thanks, Karma. We have to stay away from strangers now on."

Kara and her brother, Karma, went back to the dining room.

Sneaky Ambush Tactic

"We're going to ambush the Twerps from behind to the front!" said the first silhouette was Jessie.

"Jess, do you think that's a good idea?" replied the second silhouette.

"Guys, stick from the shadows," instructed the third silhouette. "Stay away from anyone, or we're gonna get alerted by them!"

"Right!" said the first two. The three silhouettes, still inside a bush, crawled away to avoid anyone's presence.

"Okay, Kiyoko and Karma, please take care!" said Kara happily. "Stay safe!"

"Bye, Kara-nee!" said Kiyoko and Karma, waving their arms to their big sister as they walked into somewhere.

Meanwhile…

Streets of Kokkitero Town
Walkway, 8:55am
Unnoticed?

"Come on!" groaned Jessie. "James, Meowth, what are we going to do now!?"

"Alright, I give up!" irritatingly said the second silhouette was James. "We'll ambush them right now!"

"No, you dopes!" warned the third silhouette was Meowth. "You're attracting too much attention!"

The three silhouettes, having their names revealed by each other, tried to peek at the two unsuspectedly without being noticed by the Akabane siblings without making a sound.

"Hmm," said Karma, noticing the bush from behind from anyone inside the bush. "Kiyoko, stay here, and don't go anywhere."

"Okay, Onii-chan," responded Kiyoko.

As Kiyoko stayed, Karma, now in his clever wit, noticed that the bush is moving. He sent out his Poké Ball to check what's going on. He sent out Houndoom.

"Houndoom, use Odor Sleuth to smell what's going on," commanded Karma to his Houndoom. Houndoom's nose was surrounded in faint red aura and smelt what's inside of the bush…

After sniffing what's going on, Houndoom growled, and its trainer noticed the silhouettes.

"Okay, who are you?" asked Karma to the three silhouettes. This caused them to perform their motto.

"Prepare for trouble, and who could that be?" asked Jessie.
"And make it double, 'cause we're here for thee!" said James.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of-"

"Houndoom, toast them with Incinerate!" commanded Karma, ignoring the trio of their motto. His Houndoom released crimsoning orange-yellow flames at the mystery trio, toasting them into covered black soot.

"HEY! WE'RE NOT DONE OF OUR MOTTO YET!" yelled Jessie.
"THAT WAS OUR BEST PART!" yelled James, another time.
"YOU INTERRUPTED OUR MOTTO! LET US FINISH!" yelled an infuriated Meowth.

"Oh, the deviled redhead got your tongue?" taunted Karma. "Your motto's been boring me all time like third-rate poems. And you must be Team Rocket? Pfft, criminal amateurs, yet you have tried from this entire Kunu Region…and failed miserably, even for the first time."

"WHY YOU!" said an angry Jessie, only to be restrained by James and Meowth from Karma's taunting tactics.

"Oh, you think so? Houndoom, finish them with a Hyper Beam." Karma snapped his fingers on Houndoom after his command, and the hound Pokémon released a red-and-violet beam of energy with an original sound effect from its mouth that blasted them off right into the sky.

"We're blasting-", said Jessie.
"Off-", said James, continuing after Jessie.
"Again!" finished Meowth, as the three, now known as Team Rocket, blasted off again as if they were into the sky. Karma took a pic of those three from his phone and sent it to everyone about the news and added "Beware of Team Rocket" for the text alert. He sent it to his entire family that they should always be aware of the evil trio. Even Karma's parents were shocked at Karma's alert text and should they learn of their son's warning as part of their awareness. Karma walked to where his sister, Kiyoko, stayed. He recalled Houndoom inside its Poké Ball.

"Onii-chan, are you okay?" asked Kiyoko.

"Yes," answered Karma. "Kiyoko, watch out for Team Rocket. They try to steal people's Pokémon and then ours, too."

"They're thieves? Kara-nee-san watched the show when you two are around while I'm on an adventure. I recognized their darn motto and it was so cool."

"For me, it's meh. Nothing went right for their dumb tactics. By the way, let's go."

Karma and Kiyoko walked together.

Team Rocket Alert!

As Kara and Rika cleaned everything with their help together, they received a text from Karma about Team Rocket.

"Rika, check it out!" said Kara. "It's from Karma! He took a pic about Team Rocket, so we better watch out!"

"Indeed!" added Rika. "Kara, if those idiots keep appearing everywhere on our home, anyone else, especially Karma, can send them blasting off again! And they have some crazy-looking mecha for thieving Pokémon from other trainers."

"Right! This is for the entire Akabane family!" The two grown women do a handshake to protect their entire family from Team Rocket and their crazy shenanigans.

"Wow, Onii-chan, your Houndoom's Hyper Beam rocked!" cheerfully said Kiyoko, giving her older brother a fist bump.

"Yep, its Hyper Beam is really powerful, but pays a price," explained Karma. "After the attack, the user will be forced to take a rest on the next turn."

Kiyoko and Karma laughed, until something vibrated from Karma's phone.

"Just one sec." Karma said to his sister about the call he tried to answer someone from his phone.

"Hello, this is Karma-"

"Karma!" said Koro-sensei, being worried about the text he received from Karma earlier about the Team Rocket trio he took a pic of them earlier. "Who are these guys!?"

"Kiyoko?" Karma nodded to his younger sister, and lets her do the answering to Koro-sensei.

"As what my brother said," explained Kiyoko to Koro-sensei, "Team Rocket is an evil organization specialized in stealing people's Pokémon and using them for their bad deeds. Also, the trio came back here, trying to do the same…like in the anime."

Koro-sensei gasped in horror as he heard of Kiyoko's explanation. "I gotta warn the others! Thank you both!"

Koro-sensei ended the call as he sent the messages to anybody about Team Rocket incident from Karma's pic.

"Alright, Kiyoko, let's go," said Karma to Kiyoko. "We're heading to the city, waiting for your first gym badge."

"Okay! Time for my first gym badge! Here I come!"

Kiyoko and Karma went for a walk and headed to the city in order to make Kiyoko face a gym leader of their type from their city they're about to visit.

Author's Note: As Kiyoko and Karma walked as they headed to the city, the first gym leader will be revealed in the next chapter. Also, Karma encountered Team Rocket for the first-time in this story, as he texted to anybody to keep an eye of them. Hope that there will be a new chapter soon, and the gym leader's name will be revealed, too. Stay tuned.
