Regulus had signed up to go home over the Christmas Holiday when he left to go to dinner. Finding Adaline sitting in a window seat looking over the snow he went to her. "Planning what your getting your Uncle?" Then he saw that she was sad, "What's wrong?"
She was trying to hide the letter in her sleeve, "It's nothing Reg."
He sat down next to her, "What is it?"
Sighing, she answered, "Uncle Fenrir doesn't want me to come home for Christmas. But I already told Professor Sprout I was going." Shaking her head, "I guess I'll have to let her know that I have to stay here."
"Wait." She looked at him, "I could write to my parents and see if you could visit my house for the break." Realizing what he said, "If you want to?"
She nodded, "Yes, I would." Then stating, "But you should ask your parents before we make any plans with that."
"Okay." Pulling out a parchment he continued, "How shall we put this?" After ten minutes they composed the letter in a way they both were alright with, and sent it with Adaline's owl. Going together down to dinner they waited for the answer to come.
There was shock when the message was received at Grimmauld Place, but as the elder Greyback was helping the Dark Lord that they supported they agreed. So when the day came Adaline left the Hogwarts Express and went with Regulus to where Creature was supposed to get them. If Regulus noticed Adeline's hand slipping into his as they headed towards his parents house he gave no sign.
