I do not own Ghostbusters, MHA, or any other referenced material in this story

"Midoriya, Hatsume. Do you believe in ghosts?"

Both of their eyes widened at that statement. Mei from excitement. Because now she can talk to her friend about what it is that she and Izuku really do. Izuku's reaction is more subdued than hers, but surprised nonetheless.

"You saw one Shinsou! Please! Tell me what it looked like! What did it do! WHA-" Mei was firing off questions. Shinsou saw where this was going and used his quirk to get her to stop.

"Based on that reaction I can see you two already had your own experiences." he said matter of factly.

"Yeah pretty much. Mei and I have been studying the supernatural for a good few years now." he admitted sheepishly.

"Yeah he's right! We're going to go into business together when we graduate!" Mei yelled with pride.

Now he was confused. What kind of business would involve ghosts?

"Um Hatsume, what do you mean by 'going into business'?" he asked.

"Let me have this one Mei." Izuku told her as she was about to go on another tangent.

She pouted but relented and Izuku told him everything.

A Long and In Depth Recap of the Last 5 Chapters Later-

"So you, Midoriya, had an encounter with a ghost when you were 4. Which in turn led you to discovering this group called the ghostbusters, which were people who were hired to capture and contain ghosts. You went to America and while visiting your dad came across their old base of operations which led you to want to become a ghostbuster yourself. Then you, Hatsume, met Midoriya and joined him on his endeavor when you discovered them yourself. Now you both plan on restarting this business of catching ghosts when you graduate. Did I miss anything?" he asked after his recap.

"No that about covers it." Izuku said.

"Oh my god. This is nuts." Shinsou said while rubbing his head feeling a headache coming on.

"Yeah I felt the same way when I first found out about this! But Izuku here helped me through it!" Mei said, patting Izuku on the back. Izuku just chuckled at her praise.

"You know ever since I met you two my life has been crazy." Shinsou told them. "But I wouldn't want it any other way. Thanks for being my friends." he told them with a small but genuine smile.

The other two beamed and pulled him into a group hug.

"We feel the same Shinsou!" Mei yelled happily.

After they separated, Shinsou just had one more question to ask.

"Hey I wanted to know," he said, getting their attention. "Can I join your guy's effort in this ghost business?" he asked them. They were both surprised by his question.

"Wait really Shinsou I thought you wanted to be a hero?" Izuku asked.

"Well yeah I do, and this is how I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna be able to help people in a way no one else can. I want to do it with my friends with me." he told them.

He was then tackled into a much fiercer hug this time. Making him give an oof sound from the impact.

"Shinsou, thank you for what you said. It means a lot to us. And of course you can join us. How could we turn away a friend?" Izuku told him with Mei nodding furiously.

With that Mei and Izuku let go.

"Now with that out of the way! Hitoshi Shinsou, Izuku and I formally welcome you to the Ghostbusting Corps!" she told him while extending her hand.

He graciously took it without hesitation and shook.

"Oh and one more thing! We only go our given names in this group! So first name basis only Got it!" she told him.

"Fine by me, Mei." Hitoshi told her.

"Glad you agree Hitoshi!" Mei said back.

RING!

"Well that's the bell." Izuku said. " Come on Mei, Hitoshi, we don't want to be late."

"Yes onward to class we go!" Mei yelled as she ran for the door.

Hitoshi chuckled and followed after them.

'For once in my life I don't feel alone' he said to himself. With a big smile on his face.

3 Months Later-

Hitoshi had fit into their little group perfectly. Like a piece of the puzzle. He himself had been very content with his friends, and the subject of the supernatural was something he didn't expect to get interested in. But Izuku insisted that he should read over his notes and Tobin's Spirit Guide if he is going into their line of work. He can now safely say he is thoroughly invested in this path they decided to go down.

In these past 3 months he was able to catch up somewhat to Izuku and Mei in the subject to at least hold himself well in a conversation with them. Though the science was still over his head somewhat.

It wasn't only his knowledge that grew though. He also grew closer to his friends to the point where the 3 were completely inseparable. You never saw one without the other two. As the months rolled by middle school eventually came to an end, and their high school venture was about to begin.

The three of them were able to get into the school they wanted, and were now ready to pick up the progress on their goal.

That brings us to now. The trio were sitting in Izuku's room going over their plans for when high school starts next week.

"Are you guys ready for next week?" Izuku asked his friends.

"Heck Yeah I Am! Just you wait, we will be putting our babies together in no time!" Mei said Excitedly

"Same as Mei, just a bit less enthusiasm." Hitoshi said.

"Glad to hear it guys." Izuku said.

"I just know that with our combined skills we are really gonna bust some heads! In a spiritual sense of course!" she told them.

They both laughed at her statement.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Izuku. Dinner's ready so you and your friends can come eat now." his mother called from the other side of the door.

"Okay be right their mom." he called back.

"Let's eat, I'm starving!" Mei said, springing to the door.

As the 4 of them ate, Izuku couldn't help but be thankful for how great his friends were. He is also hoping that high school will be a much more forgiving place than middle school. But hey even if it wasn't he knows that his friends will back him up.

1 Week Later-

After a week of waiting we see our favorite trio making their way towards their school. All 3 of them are excited to see what will come.

'He we are! Finally our journey to becoming the next Ghostbusters begins here!' Izuku cheered in his mind. There was nothing that could bring down his mood now.

"MOVE OUT OF THE WAY! SHITTY EXTRAS!"

'OH SON OF A-!'

Izuku looked ahead to see Bakugou making his way towards the entrance.

"You gotta be shitting me." Izuku said, sounding more tired than anything else.

Ever since their last year of middle school, specifically after their altercation where they met Hitoshi, Izuku no longer holds any sort of fear to his former friend. It's probably due to his increased confidence that he got from his friend. So now when he sees the angry pomeranian he just sighs, rolls his eyes, and walks away from the bullshit that is bound to follow the ash blond boy.

"I swear he's gum that you step on while walking, and just goes wherever you go regardless if you want him there or not." Hitoshi said. The other two couldn't help but nod at his comparison.

"Well we shouldn't let it dampen our mood! We don't have the same curriculum as him. He's taking the heroics prep course while we're in the support one! We'll hardly see the guy if at all, if we're lucky!" she said.

That was enough to bring the other two boys out of their funk a little. Though they were still annoyed.

"You're right Mei. We shouldn't let this get us down. Not when we're so close to achieving what we set out to do!" Izuku exclaimed with renewed vigor.

He heard a collective agreement from his two friends. And with that they set off to the chapter of their life.

1 Month Later-

Apparently Mei was right. They hardly saw Bakugou while attending high school. Which in and of itself was a godsend to them. Right now they are at lunch waiting for Mei because she had an announcement for them.

"Hey Hitoshi, Izuku!"

They both turned to see Mei running towards them.

"Hey Mei." Izuku and Hitoshi greeted back. "What is it you needed to talk to us about?" Izuku asked, with Hitoshi sharing his curiosity.

"Not here!" she said. "We'll talk at our usual spot on the roof!" She then starts to whisper, "It's about our secret project." Now she had their attention.

"Well let's go." Hitoshi said while Mei led the way.

Once they got to their usual spot they began to converse on why she had brought them here.

"Okay! Now that we're alone I figured I should tell you both that I am ready to start development on the proton packs!" she told them excitedly.

"Wait What?!" they said in unison.

They had been here for what? A month. And she's already ready to begin on the packs.

"You heard me boys!" she yelled. "After many sleepless nights, and the resources we have mooched from the support room development can finally begin!"

'Note to self: Never underestimate a Hatsume and their drive inventing' both boys thought simultaneously.

"I say that with a year I can have one of them completed and ready for testing!" she exclaimed.

"Mei you are just incredible. You know that?" Izuku told her.

She chuckled while rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "Yeah I guess I kinda am!" she said humorously.

The friends laughed together and ate their food. With this new development their dreams are becoming even more of a reality. Soon they'll be able to help people and become their own kind of hero.

The rest of the day played out normally. With classes done they headed home. Once they reached the intersection they said their goodbyes and splitted off from one another. Mei to continue her work on the packs, Hitoshi to study for tomorrow's test, and Izuku to continue filling his Ghostbusting Notes for the future notebooks.

None aware of the danger that they will soon find themselves in the years to come.
