"Fumi-chan, I know which candles you need. Do you need any incense or crystals?" Chiyo picks up a book and glances over the back, rasing an eyebrow.
"I need an amethyst pendulum and some more lavender seeds," Fumikage speaks through the phone while Chiyo sets down the book. She grabs a packet of lavender seeds sitting in a display next to the bookcase she stood in front of before turning and walking towards the back wall.
"Is Papa back from work?" Chiyo asks, gently grabbing the pendulum she needed. She walks over to the cashier and smiles up at the woman.
"Yes. Dinner's almost finished too. How soon will you be back?" Fumikage asks, making his twin laugh.
"I'm checking out now. Be patient," Chiyo says with an eye roll. "Tell Dad it might be a half an hour at most."
"Be careful," Fumikage says before hanging up. Chiyo smiles and pockets her phone, handing the cashier her debit card.
"Your brother?" The cashier asks curiously, making Chiyo smile.
"Yeah. Papa needed him after school, so I volunteered to buy him some things," The goth girl explains with a nod. She grabs her debit card back and grabs the handles of the shopping bags.
"Have a nice day, miss!" Chiyo exclaims brightly before walking out of the store. She groans slightly and stretches out her wings once outside the cramped shop.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in," A familiar bitchy voice startles Chiyo. She whirls around and glares heavily at the small troupe of girls. Goddamn it.
"Toyonaga," Chiyo sighs in annoyance, rolling her eyes. She grips the bags tighter, glaring at the teenage girl in the middle.
Toyonaga Rie went to Chiyo's junior high and was one of her biggest tormentors. She had black hair, tan skin, and dark brown eyes. Rie was named the most popular girl in school and is currently going to Shiketsu High School to become a hero. Her two other friends also tormented her and the last member of her troupe was Chiyo's old friend.
Enokida Ayane is Rie's second-in-command. She had white hair, white eyes, and white skin. Out of the four, Ayane is the kindest tormentor towards Chiyo. The corvid girl thinks it's because she has a little brother with a "villainous" Quirk. She goes to Seiai Academy to become a PR manager for heroes.
Aomatsu Sumiko is Rie's most recent recruit from last year. She had black hair, grey eyes, and pale skin. She is in UA's General Studies to become a hero lawyer.
And then there is Makara Keiki, Chiyo's ex-friend. She had blonde hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. She goes to a hero medic school and is Chiyo's most ruthless tormentor. Chiyo absolutely hates her with a burning passion.
"Sumiko-chan tells me your class didn't go to UA's orientation," Rie states while inspecting her nails. "Let me guess, they ignore you too?"
"At least I don't have to fuck my teacher to pass my classes," The goth girl suppresses the urge to speak her thoughts, rolling her eyes.
"Aizawa-Sensei wanted my class to do a Quirk Apprehension Test. To learn what he will be needing to teach us," She explains sharply, putting a hand on her hip.
"Are you stooping so low to lie, again? God, why does Shohei-kun still date a liar like you?" Rie scoffs, making Chiyo roll her eyes.
The whole reason why she torments Chiyo. She wanted to be Shohei's girlfriend.
"Well, you would probably understand if UA took pity on your horrible test scores in the Entrance Exams, or actually gave in when you opened your legs to the teachers," Chiyo says cheerfully, giving Rie a bright smile.
"You–"
"At least Shiketsu accepted your low scores... or did you have to resort to opening your legs to them too? I have to give you credit though. Sleeping your way through the ranks to be on top takes a certain talent. Unfortunately, that talent won't work when your a hero," The corvid girl doesn't give her tormentor room for any insults. "I apologise, but I have to depart from this meeting. My Dad has a small party prepared for Fumi-chan's and my first day of attending UA."
She walks away, giving the group the middle finger with a sweet smile.
"You, you bitch!"
"Can we embarrass her? I wanna embarrass her," Grimoire asks, rubbing his hands together. Chiyo smiles and shakes her head at her Quirk's antics.
"No, we can't do that now," Chiyo says before chuckling at Grimoire's whine, "not yet."
"Should we tell Fumi-chan about this?"
"No. It's not important," She dismisses the question, glancing back to glare at the receding group. Grimoire makes a noise of protest, otherwise staying quiet.
"I'm home!" Chiyo calls from the front door, placing the bags on the ground to unzip her shoes.
"Chiyo! How was your trip the the witch shop?" Isamu asks loudly from the kitchen. He pops his head out and gives Chiyo a beaming smile.
"Good. Had a run in with some classmates from junior high," Chiyo answers vaguely, placing her shoes next to her brother's before grabbing the bags and walking towards the stairs.
"I'm setting up the table now! Go grab your brother for me," Isamu says brightly, disappearing back into the kitchen. Chiyo smiles and runs up the stairs, barging into Fumikage's room.
"Fumi-chan, I'm back!" She exclaims, tilting her head to dodge a dagger as it flies past her head. "I've brought your witchcraft items!"
Fumikage sighs and rolls his eyes, not looking up from his book. Chiyo giggles and walks backwards to grab the dagger.
I appreciate it, Chiyo," Fumikage says, closing his book. Chiyo smiles and places the bags on his desk.
"Dad is setting up the table for dinner," Chiyo states, grabbing her twin's arm and pulling him out of his room.
"Wait–give me the dagger. I will never trust you enough to own one, let alone hold one." Chiyo pouts and hands the dagger over. "Thank you."
"Chiyo, did you grab your brother?!" Isamu shouts from downstairs.
"We are on our way, Father!" Fumikage states back loudly, grabbing Chiyo's arm and leading the way.
"How was your first day at UA? Did you meet Cementoss?" Tobikuma asks when the twins enter the kitchen. Chiyo giggles when Isamu lightly slaps Tobikuma's shoulder.
"It was a mad banquet of darkness," Fumikage says dramatically while he sits down. Chiyo sits across from him.
"Yes we met him. Cementoss-Sensei is our literature teacher," Chiyo answers cheerfully, carefully moving her wings into the gaps of the modified chair. "Our homeroom teacher, Aizawa-Sensei, had us take a Quirk Apprehension Test. It was quite an intriguing time."
"Oh? How did you two do? What is a Quirk Apprehension Test" Isamu asks curiously, sitting across from Tobikuma after placing a bowl of bread rolls.
"Chiyo placed fourth and I placed fifth. The test is similar to the physical tests we were required to take in junior high, but we were able to use our Quirks," Fumikage explains, making Isamu clap in excitement.
"Ooh, that's wonderful! I'm so proud of you both!" He exclaims brightly, making Chiyo's wings ruffle slightly at the praise. "Well, let's eat! I rented a great horror movie for celebration before I go to work! It talks about conspiracy theories too!"
Chiyo perks up and grins brightly. Fumikage playfully rolls his eyes before the family of four begin eating.
Hey! Hope you like the new chapter!
Background information:
1) So, I love the headcanon that Fumikage is a witch, so in this fanfiction, he is.
a) I don't know a lot about witchcraft, actual witchcraft, but I'll try my best to be accurate. Please comment if I do write something that isn't accurate so I can change it.
2) I will be skipping over a couple events.
a) It's mainly just minor things, like the Quirk Apprehension Test and the Combat Training class. Those are the ones I am skipping.
Hope you guys enjoy the story so far! Bye!
