Happy New Year Babes! Enjoy!

Almost Doesn't Count

Olivia

"Hi honey." Olivia heard Mellie say and she rolled her eyes. What the hell was Mellie doing there? Granted it's her house too, Olivia thought she was staying at a hotel. At least that's what Fitz had Olivia thinking.

"Babe let me call you back. Are you fucking high?" Fitz thought he ended the call.

Olivia placed her iPhone on speaker. She needed to hear how this conversation played out. Was it really over between Fitz and Mellie? Or was he playing both of them?

"No, I am trying to get my husband back." Mellie was a relentless woman. Olivia doesn't blame her. She would never fumble losing a man like Fitz.

"I don't have time for this shit." Fitz turned Mellie down causing Olivia to smile. She doesn't know why she ever doubted him.

"Just one more time Fitz…can I have you one more time…and I'll walk away…I'll sign the papers…I'll leave you alone…just one more time," Mellie begged.

And here it was, would flesh win? Would Fitz buy into the temptation his wife was serving on a hot platter? Olivia waited his answer with bated breath.

"Take off your clothes."

Olivia felt like she was suckered punched in the gut hearing Fitz tell Mellie to take off her clothes. It literally took her breath away as she was now hyperventilating. Grabbing her phone Olivia tossed it across the room watching it shatter against the wall.

Pacing the floor like a madwoman, Olivia shouted, "this is the last person that will take advantage of me! That fucking asshole and to think I fell in love with him! I hate him! I hate her! I hate myself for being a dumb ass! Fuck this and fuck him! Two can play this game!"

Olivia had a surprise for Fitz. She can't wait until he touched down in Atlanta.

Fitz

What Olivia didn't hear…

"Take off your clothes." Fitz said to Mellie

"What do you mean?" Mellie coyly twisted a strand of hair in her hand.

"Exactly what I said, take off your clothes," Fitz said again this time advancing towards Mellie.

Mellie peeled off her clothes slowly, never taking her eyes off Fitz. He could see she was trying to read him, but he kept a poker face.

"Now what?" Mellie's pink nipples hardened from the draft in the room.

"Touch yourself…you know the way I like." Fitz encouraged with a nod.

"I'd rather you touch me." Mellie purred.

"Come on Mel…touch yourself…get him up." Fitz looked down at his penis tucked away in his shorts. Good thing he wasn't exposed because he was softer than a gummy worm.

Mellie began touching herself. She ran her hands over her breasts and her stomach stopping just south where she inserted two fingers inside of herself. Had this been Olivia, Fitz would've came at the sight before him. He loves watching a woman get off.

Fitz walked over to Mellie who was now moaning at the sensation she was creating with her fingers. Once they were chest to chest, Fitz leaned down and whispered, "this will be the last orgasm you ever had with me in your presence. Now sign the fucking papers and stop wasting my time. I have moved on with my fucking life and I suggest you do the same." He was done playing games.

Mellie inhaled sharply, "You are scum. I thank God every day that I didn't keep that baby. See Fitz I thought I couldn't get pregnant. So yeah I tricked you into marrying me, but how miraculously was it that we actually conceived our baby on our wedding night. Our child would've been on their way to college by now. Being a mother just wasn't in my cards baby so to the chopping block it went." Mellie shrugged as if she didn't just admit to killing Fitz's baby.

In that moment Fitz questioned what he ever saw in Mellie. How was he ever attracted to such a vile woman? Was it the sex? Was it because it made sense? Mellie was planning on becoming a doctor. There was no way she was marrying him for money, or so he thought. Of all the girls on their campus, Fitz thought she saw him for him. He thought she looked beyond Fitz the football player and saw Fitz the man beneath the pads, the cleats, and the money. She was a different woman in college. She was sweet, innocent, and fun to be around. Most importantly she was supportive on and off the field. Back in college when he lost his friend Mike to a car accident, Mellie consoled Fitz those nights he thought the dark thoughts would win. Fitz had to give it to her, she was a hell of an actress. The woman is in the wrong field, politics is her calling. She's wasting her talents in the medical field. A field she has put on the backburner for the past year and a half. Mellie has gotten comfortable with her WAG title, she allowed that world to suck her in, and it turned her into a superficial diva.

"Oh my God! Fitz let her go! Fitz! Fitz stop it! You're going to kill her!" Farrah tried prying Fitz's hands from around Mellie's neck.

A completely blacked out Fitz didn't realize he was strangling Mellie. Snapping out of his raging haze, Fitz released Mellie who immediately started gasping for air.

"Kiss your career goodbye!" Mellie hoarsely yelled as she caressed her throat.

"Fitz leave I will handle her," Farrah ordered Fitz pushing him out of his mancave.

Fitz grabbed his phone from the couch and left. He hopped in his car and drove to the city stopping by the first bar he saw. Pulling his baseball cap low over his eyes, Fitz exited his vehicle and walked the short distance to the bar. He slipped inside and made himself comfortable at the bar.

"I need shots of your top shelf Tequila and keep them coming," Fitz said to the bartender.

"Alright," the bartender took his card and started his tab.

Thoughts of what his child would've been liked invaded Fitz's thoughts. What it have been a boy or a girl? What kind of father would he have been? Mellie killed their child for her own selfish reasons. She had an abortion because she wanted Fitz all to herself. Her obsession with him caused her to do the unthinkable and unforgivable.

"Well if it isn't our franchise quarterback getting hammered in the bar while we have a division game this Sunday. What a way to lead your team you piece of shit." A drunken overzealous fan slurred as he walked by Fitz with his friends.

Fitz ignored the heckler. How the hell did he even recognize him? He thought he was keeping a low profile.

"Close my tab," Fitz told the bartender. He needed to get out of the bar before he ended up on TMZ, jail, or both.

"They're not worth it," The bartender told Fitz.

He closed Fitz's tab and handed him his card. Tucking his card in his pocket, Fitz got up from the stool and left the bar. The heckler and his minions followed Fitz outside. Fitz cursed himself for not parking closer to the bar.

"Do us all a favor and retire if you're no longer in it! After the season you had last year you owe it to us Saint fans to either be all in or not!" The fan continued with his rant.

"Dude leave the guy alone, he's already going through enough." One of his minions spoke trying to diffuse the situation.

"Fuck that man the league is always protecting this piece of shit. I bet they don't know he gets drunk in bars do they?" The heckler pulled out his phone and began recording Fitz.

Fitz turned around and smacked the heckler's phone out of his hand. He wanted to smash the guy's face in, remembering who he was, he counted to ten and turned back around heading to his car. He didn't need a lawsuit right now. If he got into any altercation it would be on him. Fitz should not here at this bar right now. He should be home getting ready for practice tomorrow.

"Hey, fucker you're going to pay for that!" The guy wouldn't give up.

Finally reaching his car, Fitz got inside and pulled off before he committed a felony. He went to his condo in downtown New Orleans. He didn't know if Mellie was still at the house or not. He didn't want to risk the chance of running into her in fear that he would hurt her. After a hot shower, he Facetimed Olivia. She didn't answer, so he shot her a text.

Fitz: Are you awake?

No response.

Fitz: I take it you're asleep. Well, I love you and I will see you tomorrow after my practice is over.

The next morning, Fitz woke up surprisingly with no hangover and Olivia on his mind. He wished he was between her legs right now. He finds nirvana there. He needed the extra boost before practice and she would've been his perfect energy booster.

He tried her cell again and to no avail, she did not answer. Using his detective skills, Fitz went to Olivia's Instagram page and pulled her business cell phone number from her page. The ling rang twice before she answered.

"Garrett…stop it…wait…hello," she giggled.

Fitz ended the call and dialed Cyrus's number.

"What did you do now?" Cyrus groggily answered.

"Have my lawyer on standby and tell coach I can't make practice today."

"Fitz –"

Fitz ended the call and booked a flight to Atlanta.

Farrah

Before heading back home to New York, Farrah paid Mellie one last visit. She is so glad she stuck around yesterday after the blowup between Fitz and their mother. She always knew something was off with Mellie, but Fitz was so smitten with her. Farrah had no choice but to be supportive of her little brother. She's shocked the marriage lasted 17 years.

Farrah knocked on Mellie's hotel room door and patiently waited for her to answer.

"Leo, you just can't get enough can you?" Mellie asked as she snatched open the door.

Farrah scoffed, "if you call the police on my brother I promise I will murder you. You have ruined his life enough just sign the fucking papers Mellie."

"Ask your brother I don't take well to threats." Mellie rolled her eyes.

Farrah smirked, "you see I am not my brother. He has everything to lose. I have nothing to lose and I will protect him by any means necessary." Farrah glared at Mellie.

"I want the 10 million in my account." Mellie crossed her arms.

"What about the house?"

"Don't want it, never felt like a home anyway."

"You have until Monday," Farrah told Mellie.

"If you think Fitz found the one in this Olivia girl," Mellie laughed, "honey she is worse than me."

"Monday Mellie or a certain video of you in a compromising situation will be leaked and there will be no money once a judge know that you tricked your way into my brother's heart." Farrah walked off.

Settling into her rental car, Farrah wanted to ignore Mellie's warning about the new girl in Fitz's life, but she couldn't shake it. Calling up her guy Huck, Farrah asked him for a favor.

"I need you to look into a girl. Her name is Olivia Pope." Farrah said as soon as Huck answered.

"Alright," was all he said.

"You're the best."

"I know."

"Oh, Fitz you sure know how to pick them."

Farrah headed to the airport. It was time to head back to her bubble in New York. She missed her husband and children.

"Cyrus, what's going on?" Farrah asked surprised he was calling.

"Where's your brother and Mellie?"

"I just left Mellie's hotel room. Fitz left last night…long story, is everything okay?"

"No everything is not alright. He called me about ten minutes ago saying have his lawyer on standby and he won't be at practice today."

"What?"

"It has to be this new girl Olivia he's seeing. How much do you know about her?"

"I don't know anything about her except she has your brother wrapped around her finger."

"Let me give him a call."

"Alright."

Farrah called Fitz. His phone went straight to voicemail. She dialed him another 5 times and each call went to voicemail.

Farrah: Where are you? Are you okay?

Farrah: Please let someone know you're safe.

Farrah: I am calling mom and dad.

Farrah called her parents and filled them in on Fitz's latest drama. Diane was not surprised and Gerry was too busy with work to care.

Huck called Farrah back and his timing couldn't have been better.

"Huck please tell me you have something." Farrah desperately answered.

"Her name is Olivia Pope. She was born in Buckhead, Atlanta to Rowan and Maya Pope. Her father is a pastor at a mega church and her mom is a principal at a prestigious private school. Her relationship with her parents is strained. She just turned 21 years old a week ago. She has committed herself to a psychiatric hospital three times. She has a best friend Amelia Torres whom she lives with in midtown Atlanta. Olivia is a business owner. She owns a waxing salon called 'Hair Today Gone Tomorrow' in Midtown Atlanta."

"What's her address." Farrah raced to the airport.

Huck mumbled off Olivia's address.

"Thanks, Huck," Farrah ended the call.

Farrah booked a flight to Atlanta instead of New York.

Olivia

Part one of Olivia's plan was already in effect. Fitz would be here any minute. She wanted him to feel the same humiliation she felt when she heard him asking Mellie to take off her clothes.

Boom!

"What the fuck?" Olivia left her bedroom and was met with an enraged Fitz standing in the middle of her living room. He looked like a madman. He needed a shave and a haircut.

Did he kick in the door? She looked at her door that was partially attached to the hinges.

"You fucking slut!" Fitz took off looking for Garrett.

"Excuse me?" Olivia followed him.

"You heard me! You're a fucking slut? I should've known I mean you did fuck me on the first night!" Fitz checked Olivia's bedroom and then the bathroom.

"So if I am slut then what are you?" She countered back as they made their way back into the living room.

"What?" Fitz continued searching for any sign of Garrett.

"You fucked your wife! Who else have you been fucking Fitzgerald!?" Olivia accused.

"What are you talking about?" Fitz ran a hand through his disheveled curls. He genuinely looked confused. Olivia is no fool though, she knows what she heard.

"You didn't hang up yesterday! I heard you and her!"

Fitz closed his eyes and tilted his head up, "I didn't fuck her Olivia I promise. I know what you heard sounded bad but I would never cheat on you." Fitz explained softening his tone.

Olivia twisted her face, "Fitz I am not an idiot. I know you fucked her." Why else would he tell her to take off her clothes?

"I did not. You can call my sister if you don't believe me. I needed her to admit that our marriage was founded on a lie. The only way I knew how to do that was to humiliate her. I am sorry you had to hear that." Fitz further explained.

"Get out Fitz! I am tired of being taken advantage of by people who say they love me." Olivia turned her back to him. She didn't know what to believe.

Fitz changed topics when he asked, "the real question is did you fuck Garrett." He was now standing behind her. The goosebumps on the back of her neck signaled his presence.

"This is not about me." Olivia nervously chewed on her bottom lip.

"Did you fuck him?" Fitz asked again. His tone was no longer soft it was cold and menacing.

Olivia didn't answer him.

Fitz placed his hands on her shoulder and bent his head kissing her neck. "Does he make you feel like this," Fitz slid his tongue across her neck before biting it. Olivia moaned. His hands came around to her breasts where he cupped them, "or like this," Fitz's lips traveled to hers and he slipped his tongue in her mouth. Olivia didn't kiss him back at first until he started toying with her nipples through her tank top. She was slowly caving in. Fitz pulled down her boy shorts and inserted two fingers into her moist pussy. "Does he make you wet like this," Fitz moved his fingers in a circular motion while his thumb brushed across her clit. Just as she was about to cum, Fitz pulled his two fingers from her pussy, and back her against the wall. He turned her around roughly and entered her.

"Oooh," she gasped as he filled her up.

Fitz wasted no time, he fucked Olivia like he had a point to prove.

"Fitzzzz," Olivia hissed turning her head to face him. She didn't think the sex could get any better.

"I love you," she cried out.

Fitz was hitting her spot and he knew it. Olivia squirted everywhere making a mess on the floor. Fitz's point was proven, no man has ever made her squirt or orgasm the way he has. Fitz came right behind her never bothering to pull out. Once he was empty he slipped out of her and pulled his pants up.

"We. Are. Done. I may never be able to control my erections around you or at the thought of you, but I can't do this anymore." He turned heading for the door.

Olivia made herself decent and followed Fitz out of the door. "Fitz," she called after him. Was he breaking up with her? Did she go too far? Did she fumble him too?

"Goodbye Olivia," he said never turning around.

"I didn't fuck him…I'm sorry I thought you fucked Mellie…and I wanted to get you back." Olivia apologized as she chased after him.

"You don't trust me…how can we ever work?" Fitz stopped walking but didn't turn around.

"I do trust you. I just –"

"You what," he finally faced her and she could see the tears he was fighting back, "you don't trust me because if you did then you would know how madly in love I am with you. You would know that I would never intentionally hurt you. You would know that nothing else matters in my world right now except you. Liv, I should be at practice right now and here I am with you. I am jeopardizing my career and the career of my teammates who depend on me for you because I love you. You mean more to me than football. Olivia, I need someone I can count on, someone I can trust, someone who trust me, someone who is not going to run when things get rough. I am a professional football player, my life is complicated as is. This," Fitz pointed between himself and Olivia, "you're not ready for it and that's okay. We tried." Fitz kissed Olivia's forehead.

"Fitz please…please don't do this…I do trust you" Olivia wrapped her arms around his waist.

"If it's meant to be it'll be." Fitz unwrapped her arms from his waist and walked to the elevators.

Olivia watched him disappear onto the elevator. She stood there for at least 10 minutes before finding her footing. Back inside of her apartment, she made a call.

"Hey, I need to see you."

"The door is always open."

"Thank you."
