"Oh, aren't you just wonderful, my dear?" Molly asked, looking at her daughter with joy.

"Yes, mommy!" three-year-old Ginny answered back as she helped her mother.

"There, that's it, my love. You are so wonderful and helpful. If only your brother, Ronald, could learn from you and help me too," Molly said.

"Thank you, mommy!" internally, she felt very glad that her mother was showering her with praises. With so many brothers who were already successful, her mother's attention was often split in different directions and she felt a bit left-out. Today, though, was only for Molly and Ginny.

Molly smiled tenderly at her daughter and wondered why her youngest son couldn't be a bit like her - willing to help. As a reward, Molly gave Ginny a kiss on the forehead which made her almost squeal with joy.

Molly's forehead kisses were not to be taken lightly. In fact, Bill and Percy - the best of the siblings - could count on one hand how many forehead kisses they had received from Molly. Oh, this wasn't a method of showing favouritism, no.

The siblings only received a forehead kiss when they had done something which immensely pleased their mother. It was Ginny's first time receiving a kiss and she couldn't wait until she could boast about it to her brothers.

None of them - with the sole exception of her - had received a forehead kiss before they were at least five. And Ron hadn't received even one forehead kiss - a fact which made him immensely sad and angry at himself.

"Go along, Ginny. Go and play with Luna. I'll call you back for dinner," Molly said, internally making a list of what Ginny liked. She couldn't make those things with Ginny in the Burrow since Molly wanted it to be a surprise.

Sure, maybe she showed a teensy tiny bit more favouritism to Ginny than any of her brothers but, why shouldn't she? Ginny was the youngest and she could be feeling left-out (of course, Ron felt left-out but he would adjust since he was a boy) and Ginny was a girl. Molly had always wanted a girl ever since she could understand the concept of having her own children.

"Okay, mommy!" Ginny felt a little sad that she couldn't boast about it right now to her brothers - especially Ronald - but, anyhow, Luna was way better a playmate than any of her brothers.

She ran out and Molly watched fondly after her.

No one saw that Ronald had seen the entire conversation.
