Three days passed since Chase told all the pups his plan, the pups managed to get some people out of Adventure Bay, but that number was very low.

They had to go out and try again.

The feral pups roamed around the streets of Adventure Bay snapping at anything. As feral pups moved around, a siren got louder. It started playing a message that was echoing through the streets.

"To anyone who can hear this, proceed to City Hall for evacuation! Repeat, proceed to City Hall for evacuation!"

The feral pups didn't know better, they just knew how to kill, that message didn't mean anything to them, which came in handy.

The Paw Patroller roamed around the streets looking for any survivors they happened to come by.

"Any luck so far?" Catherine asked as she kept an eye out for anything.

"Nope, still got nothing. You think we even got everyone out?" Chase asked.

Catherine shrugged at the pup.

"I'm pretty sure mostly everyone got out, when all this happened, a lot of people left in a hurry." Zuma said.

"Some weren't so lucky to leave Adventure Bay, we can't be so sure that we can get everyone out." Catherine said.

"I know but we have to get these people somewhere safe, that's the plan remember?" Chase questioned.

Catherine nodded at the pup.

"What do you think Maverick is going to do next?" Skye asked.

"Well, he's still after us but things have been quiet for the most part, I got a plan that might help us find Rocky and Marshall but let's focus on this first." Chase answered.

"Might I ask, who's Maverick?" Catherine asked.

The pups didn't want to answer but someone had to.

"He's my brother, we had a problem with him a long time ago, back when I wasn't like this and Adventure Bay wasn't overrun with ferals. Some of us got hurt badly during that time." Chase put his paw on his scarred eye. "Rocky nearly scratched out my eye, and Marshall was stabbed near his stomach."

"What happened?" Catherine asked again.

"Well, from what I remember, I was out of control as a wolf and cornered one of our teammates and Rocky came in and almost cut my eye out." Chase answered..

"That pup would've done anything to protect Aurora." Zuma stated.

"Yeah...he would've." Chase agreed.

The pups travelled around the streets for a while longer and still couldn't find any remaining survivors, they decided to head back to the Lookout and call it a day.

The past three days for Rocky were literal hell, the poor pup eventually couldn't take the pain anymore, he was on the verge of finally giving in.

The pup had three large scratches on his chest, courtesy of Maverick's new follower, he was shocked multiple times and nearly drowned, he was tough but everyone has their breaking point.

Maverick was finished torturing the poor pup and began to speak to him.

"You tried being a noble pup and look where it got you." The pup said as he circled Rocky. "I offered you friendship and chances and you just spat in my face, multiple times actually."

"Just give up, there's no point in resisting this." Maverick said as he stopped to look at the pup.

Rocky endured the pain and faced Maverick. "Then why don't you just kill me? Right here? Right now?! I'm not afraid to die!"

Maverick smiled at the pup. "Are you really though? Drop the tough pup act Rocky, you are on the verge of death, my friend."

It was true, Rocky didn't want to die but he didn't want to help the enemy, that was the last thing he wanted to do.

Maverick unsheathed his claws and approached the pup.

"This is your final chance."

The pups entered the Lookout, most of them exhausted.

"Hey you four, you find anyone still out there?" Ryder asked. The boys arm and leg were doing better but he still had some trouble moving around.

"No sir, it's been three days and we've only managed to get some people out. I know there's still people here that need help and we can't just leave them." Chase said as he went to his food bowl.

"Chase listen, it's been three days, we can't wait any longer, we have to find Rocky and Marshall." Ryder said.

Chase ate his food and thought about what Ryder said.

"Ryder's right, they're our friends, we can't leave them." Everest agreed.

Chase stopped eating his food and snapped at the Husky. "Who said anything about leaving them? I have an idea that can probably help us find them. Had it for a while." Chase added that last part.

"And you're telling us this now?" Skye asked.

"I didn't want us to lose focus on getting people out of Adventure Bay, now that we're done, I have the need to tell you all." Chase stated.

"Ok, so what's the plan?" Tracker asked as the pups gathered around.

"The plan is an ambush, since we have these new pup tags, we can use the old ones to bait either Maverick or someone that works for him and get them to tell us where they have Rocky and Marshall." Chase explained.

"Are we going to ambush them here at the Lookout or what?" Everest asked.

"No, let's do it away from the Lookout, somewhere close and possibly hidden." Chase answered.

"What about the forest?" Skye suggested.

Chase thought about it for a second and realized that it could work. "That could work but I'm only taking two pups, Tracker I'll need you for this and..." Chase scanned the room to pick a pup. "Everest, I'll need you for this also. Rest up, we leave in an hour." Chase advised the two pups.

There was silence, long, eerie silence and then paws started clacking on the ground. It took some time but the room brightened up with light and showed a chained up Rocky along with Sweetie and Maverick accompanying the tortured mix.

Maverick looked at the pup as Sweetie stood behind him, secretly recording the whole thing.

"You know Rocky, I have to hand it to you, you lasted a lot longer than I thought but I told you from the beginning. Everyone has a breaking point." Maverick said as the pup stood silent. "Now I'm gonna ask you this one last time. Who killed Aurora again?"

The mix gave it a second before finally saying his answer.

"Chase. Chase killed her." Rocky said with anger.

"And what are you going to do to him?" Maverick asked yet again.

"He took the pup I loved...I'm gonna do the same to him, whatever it takes." Rocky said.

"There we go, see Sweetie? I told you he would give in eventually." Maverick finally unchained the pup. "Go to Adventure Bay and find them, they won't suspect anything from one of their own." Rocky obeyed the pups orders and headed out to Adventure Bay as Sweetie left the room.

As that happened, the Pup Pad alerted the Shepherd as he dismissed Rocky. The pup grabbed the pad and saw Chase and Zuma's pup tags highlighting.

"Asher!" Maverick called out.

"Yes sir?" The pup walked in the room.

"Go to Adventure Bay and grab the brown Labrador, I want him to suffer just like Rocky." Maverick ordered as he grabbed Marshall's pup tag. "Take this with you so I can guide you to them. Don't fail me or you'll regret it." Maverick dismissed the pup.

Ryder and Katie were at the top of the Lookout, Katie was tending to Ryder's wounds as he lied down on his bed.

"Thanks for this Katie." Ryder thanked the blond girl.

"No problem, this is the least I could do after you and the pups saved me." Katie smiled as she finished cleaning his leg wound.

The two smiled at each other but that was cut short when the main monitor received a message. Ryder looked over and saw that it didn't say who it was from but he played it anyway.

It was the recording that Sweetie made.

"Katie, get the rest of the pups up here now." Ryder said in a hurry.

Katie ran to the elevator and went down the Lookout as Ryder kept watching the recording.

Ryder was horrified to see how damaged the eco pup actually was.

"I'm gonna ask you this one last time. Who killed Tundra again?"

"Chase. Chase killed her."

Ryder continued watching the recording as Katie and the pups came up and watched the recording along with him.

"He took the pup I loved...I'm gonna do the same to him, whatever it takes."

Ryder stopped the recording as everyone stood quiet.

"He broke him. He broke Rocky." Skye said with her ears lowered.

Ryder continued to play the recording.

"Go to Adventure Bay and find them, they won't suspect anything from one of their own."

The recording stopped and the room was quiet yet again.

"We gotta show Chase and the others when they get back."

The three pups had a good ambush ready, Chase scraped up the tags so it looked like there was a scuffle earlier, Tracker and Everest covered themselves in mud to stay hidden and placed the tags some distance away from each other. Now all they had to do was wait.

The pups hid into some bushes and waited for the right time.

For what seemed like hours, the pups stood still, waiting for the right moment. That moment finally was close when Tracker heard someone coming towards them and motioned for the pups to stay hidden.

"Maverick, I don't see anyone here, it's looks like someone beat me to them." Asher said.

The three pups stood silently as they heard the conversation.

"Why would anyone else be after them? You better find at least Zuma and bring him back here!"

Asher examined the tags and didn't notice the three pups peeking out from the bushes.

"Now!" Chase yelled as he and the two other pups tackled Asher to the ground.

Asher put up a decent fight, managing to get the three pups off him and scratching Everest in the process but eventually he was overwhelmed by the pups.

Everest pinned him down and Chase began to question the pup.

"You think you're gonna get anything out of me? I'm not saying anything!" Asher yelled out as he struggled against Everest.

Chase looked at the pup with a serious look in his eyes, he grabbed Marshall's pup tag that was on his neck and turned it off.

"Where's Maverick?" Chase questioned as he looked at the pup tag.

"I said I wasn't going to tell you anything and I'm sticking by that!" Asher said.

Chase stopped examining the pup tag and looked at Asher once again.

"This ain't my first time doing this sort of thing, I'll make you talk." Chase said with a stern voice. "Where. Is. Maverick?"

Chase got close to the pup and was hit with a spit to the face.

The Shepherd grabbed Asher's paw and started to slowly twist it, causing the pup to scream out in pain.

"You want me to keep going?! You got three more!" Chase yelled out as he kept twisting the pups paw.

"Okay, listen! He's up in the mountains! Near that skiing resort! He has a place there he used a long time ago!" Asher stated in pain.

"What's he doing over there?" Chase asked as he let go of his twisted paw.

"Answer the question." Everest said.

"He's-he's making more of those syringes, fro-from what I heard, he's planning on moving to Barkingburg to infect that place too." Asher answered.

"Barkingburg is far from Adventure Bay." Chase said.

"Yeah, no shit, but he has this pup to help him, Sweetie helped him and now he's gonna help her!" Asher told the three pups all that he knew. "Even if you manage to find him, what makes you think you'll be able to stop him?" Asher asked.

"Look at what we did to you." Chase said as he put his claws up to Asher's neck.

"No! Ple-!" Chase's claws sliced through Asher's neck, killing him almost instantly.

"Come on, we need to head back to the Lookout." Chase said to the two.

Everest and Tracker looked at each other in shock, they weren't around during that whole time with Maverick and Chase being a werewolf but they didn't know that it'd change the pup to the point where he'd kill anyone that got in his way.

"We gotta keep a close eye on him Tracker, I have a feeling he's changing for the worse." Everest whispered.

Tracker nodded at the husky and they followed the wolfified Shepherd.

The path they took put some distance between them and the Lookout but they got they wanted, as they continued walking they passed by a pond.

"Hey Chase, you might want to wash that blood of your paws." Everest suggested.

Chase stopped and nodded, putting his paws in the water and slowly washing the blood off. Chase looked at the reflection of himself in the water and sighed deeply at himself. The pup soon felt a paw touch his shoulder.

"Chase, are you ok?" Everest asked.

"I'm fine, Everest, don't worry about me." Chase said as he continued washing the blood of his paws.

"It's hard not to...what happened to you? You're not the same pup we knew before. I mean you murdered that pup! Didn't even show at least some mercy to him." Everest questioned. "You're changing Chase."

The pup immediately turned to face the Husky and snapped at her. "So what if I am? It's not going to stop us from ending all of this and fixing everything."

"Amigo, we're just worried that's all, no need to get angry." Tracker defused as he walked up and got some space between the two. "You are changing, we're just worried that you'll change for the worse."

Chase sighed and looked at the Chihuahua. "I get it...I'm not who you want me to be...it's just the pain of watching your friends, your loved ones slip through your paws...it's terrifying. But that back there? There was no excuse for it." Chase looked at the sun as it was getting ready to start setting. "We gotta get back to the Lookout before dark, come on." Chase finally got the blood off his paws and lead the way back home.

After some time, the trio finally made it back to the Lookout with actual information for once. They went inside and greeted everyone. Ryder went to the trio and called for them.

"Hey, you three, there's something you need to see." Ryder lead the way up the Lookout with the pups.

Ryder showed the three pups the video that Sweetie sent them, they of course didn't know it was from Sweetie though.

The trio was shocked to see that Rocky finally gave in to Maverick's demands.

"He-he finally broke him..." Chase said with a depressed tone. "He's helping Maverick but he has a personal grudge with me, if we run into him, I'll handle it on my own." Chase said to everyone.

"Also, if he finds us, he's going to try to trick us but since we already know his plan, we can ambush him and try to change him back!" Everest suggested.

"That could work, nice thinking Everest." Chase complimented the Husky. "Anyway, we know where Maverick is, at least a bit of where he's at." Chase said.

"Where? Do you know where Marshall is?" Zuma asked.

"He's somewhere around mountain, near the skiing resort. He's making more syringes over there and is planning to use them when he gets to Barkingburg." Chase explained.

"Wait, near the mountain? Chase, what about that one place you and Marshall went to? Wasn't it a lab or something?" Skye asked.

Chase thought about it and realized that it could be possible. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was, there's a chance that it's still there."

"So when do we head out?" Zuma asked.

"Sometime tomorrow, we can't waste any more time than we already have." Chase answered. "Sun's going to set soon, we should get some rest for tomorrow everyone." Chase said to everyone.

The pups headed out to their pup houses and went off to sleep.

Some hours passed and the moon was over Adventure Bay, everything was quiet for the most part, howling here and there but it was overall pretty quiet. The pups slept soundly except for Skye, who was feeling a slight pain in her head. The pup went outside her pup house and looked at the full moon, she was looking at it with a trance but that stopped when her name was called out.

"Skye? Are you alright?" Catherine asked.

The Cockapoo snapped out of her trance and looked at the pup. "Yeah...yeah I'm fine, I just needed some...some fresh air." Skye was stumbling slightly and Catherine noticed this.

"Ok, well get back to your pup house, you need some sleep." Catherine said as she helped the pup to her pup house.

Skye was feeling light headed and then out of nowhere, a sharp pain was felt on her head. The pup fell to the ground and put her paws on her head.

"Skye! What's wrong?!" Catherine went to aid the pup but wasn't sure how to approach the pup.

"I...don't...know!" Skye whimpered in pain as her once golden brown fur turned into a black and grey tone. Shortly after, the pup's teeth turned sharper than usual and her claws started growing, the pup grew a bit in size and eventually the pain stopped.

Skye turned into a werepup.

"Skye?" Catherine called out as she slowly approached the pup. "Are you ok? Is it over?"

Skye stood up and noticed the changes, she looked at her paws and was shocked from all of this.

She was cured right?

"Cathy? What happened to me? I thought I wasn't like this anymore?!" Skye began to panic which wasn't good.

"Skye, just calm down, I don't know what happened but just relax ok?" Catherine said trying to calm the pup down but to no avail.

"I can't relax, look at me! I-I gotta get away from the pups, I-I don't want to hurt them!" Skye pushed Catherine out of the way and ran.

"Skye, wait!" Catherine looked back at the Lookout but quickly dismissed her idea and went after Skye.

The Golden Retriever chased after Skye for quite some time, trying her best to persuade the now wolfified pup. They made it into the town after some time but had no plans on stopping anytime soon.

"Skye! Please just listen to me! It's not safe here! I need to tell you something but you need to stop!" Catherine yelled out as she continued on with the chase.

She was eventually out of breath but managed to see Skye turn the corner of the block, she finished catching her breath and ran after Skye.

She should've just turned around.

As she turned the corner, there was a motionless Skye and a pup standing over her.

Catherine took a defensive stance and looked at the pup, it was Rocky.

"Turn back pup, this doesn't concern you." Rocky said with a stern tone.

"Actually it does, I'm leaving her with her whether you like it or not!" Catherine said as she unsheathed her claws.

The pup was ready to fight for her friend but that didn't go to plan as something hit her in the neck, causing her to slowly lose consciousness. Rocky looked at the pup who was already on the ground trying to stay awake.

"Give it some time, when you wake up, you're going to wish you turned back." Rocky said as Catherine's vision faded away.
