A/N Guess who's back! I've been busy for a while and I hate math with a passion. It felt so good writing this, please enjoy!
Zmije control room
When they walked into the control room they were expecting to see some kind of foreign aliens with purple skin or covered in scales, well that's what Winn and Martha were hoping to see.
But when they got a good look at them, they couldn't see much. They were clearly humanoid but they were covered in long black cloaks with the shadow of their hoods covering their faces. But there were a good number of them looking to be fiddling with controls. There seemed to be a clear leader, their cloak had gold trim and they were surrounded by guards. They had helmets covering their faces and they were each holding a laser blaster that put Alex's to shame.
J'onn and Alex weren't too concerned by the appearance, they were worried about their tech and what they could do with it. Their blasters were certainly powerful and the Zmije themselves were pretty strong. They just hoped things didn't get ugly, even with Supergirl on their side they didn't like their odds.
"I was wondering when you would show up?" The leader said, "You took longer than expected."
"Sorry about that," The Doctor said.
"I am Director J'onn J'ozz of the DEO."
"I got your little message, Green Martian. Although I was expecting it to come from a human."
"You'll find that the humans are willing to take in alien refugees."
"That bit is obvious, looking at you six, three of you are not human."
"Excuse me, Viscount..." The Doctor said
"I am Viscount Petra Abb Kombing," Their leader said pulling down her hood revealing a humanish face. She had purple eyes and a gold nose ring and there were green scales covering her scalp.
"Woah," Winn muttered.
"I am the 43rd Viscount Kombing."
"Right. You know, Viscount Petra Abb Kombing, there is a planet a few solar systems over that's very similar to your home planet. It's uninhabited too. It would be a perfect planet for your species to make your home."
Petra scoffed, "What would be the fun in taking an uninhabited planet, Time Lord? It would be no fun."
The Doctor stayed silent.
Supergirl looked over at the Doctor, he kept on getting more mysterious by the minute. How did he know that the leaders were called Viscounts? How did he know of other suitable planets in the area? Time Lords never cared about that sort of thing, they were too busy being self-important.
"Wouldn't it just be easier to take the uninhabited planet?" Martha said.
"Yeah, there would be fewer defences and no resistance," Winn added.
Petra laughed, "You talk as if you have defences. The defences that you have are pitiful at best. We will have no trouble taking out the human race and claiming Earth for our own."
"Then why bring us here?" Alex asked. Petra just glared at her.
"Why teleport us onto your ship if you're just going to attack us?"
"I wanted to see what you humans were made of. Turns out you're not made of much. But you do have powerful and rare allies."
"Really?" Supergirl scoffed.
"Yeah. One of the last, if not the last Green Martian. You, one of the last Kryptonians. And him, the last of the Time Lords. This planet certainly has a lot of 'last ones'."
"Our allies don't matter," Alex said, "We welcome any alien refugee."
But Winn didn't hear Alex's response, he was more concerned with Petra's choice of words; The Last of the Time Lords. Could that mean he is the last of his kind? It could also mean he's part of the last generation of Time Lords. Kara isn't called the last Kryptonian, but there's also Superman.
"Do you really?" Petra asked, "You don't seem too fond of the Time Lord. He's a refugee too you know."
"You're our main concern," J'onn said, "Earth is accepting of alien refugees but not the ones that wish to harm it or its residents."
"So you accept him?" Petra asked, calmly pointing a finger at the Doctor.
The room went silent, no one felt like they had the guts to respond.
Supergirl clenched her fists, this viscount was smart. No matter how anyone responded in the group it was bound to cause an uproar, probably from herself. Is this Time Lord truly the last? He isn't like the others of his kind. But how can I be sure? They were the ones who destroyed Krypton, I cannot hope the one of their kind will help us. Not again.
"I don't care if they accept me," The Doctor said thrusting his hands into his pockets.
No one was expecting the Doctor to say that. Deep down Martha knew that was true just by the way he carried himself. But there was something more behind this statement like he didn't want to be accepted.
"I'm just a wanderer, a traveller. I never stay in one place for too long," The Doctor said as he paced the room, "But you guys don't travel much, why jump to Earth?"
"Our planet, like many others, was a victim to the Time War. We've been searching for a new planet for a long time now and we've finally come across the perfect one."
"There were many suitable planets on your way here, why come to this one?"
"You see, Green Martian, Earth already has an infrastructure that we can easily build on and it's in a prime location, the Judoon won't touch us here. There is nothing better than this planet."
"Sorry, I know I'm interrupting your speech and all but, the one thing that we can all agree on is that the Time Lords weren't the greatest species out there. And one thing that my team here, or gang. Would gang be the right word?"
"Doctor!" Marhta cut in.
"Right, sorry. The one thing the six of us from Earth can agree on, even though we're not all technically from Earth, we don't want it harmed. So I'll give you one more chance to turn around and leave Earth alone."
"And why would we do that?"
"Because Earth is our home!" Supergirl shouted, "I may not be human but Earth is still my home and I will defend it at any cost!"
"And how are you planning on stopping me?"
Then the lights in the control room briefly shut off and the emergency lighting came on.
"Never let the man with the sonic screwdriver near the control system."
"Execute him!" Petra shouted as the ship began to shake.
"Doctor!" Martha screamed as all of the viscount's guards shot at the Doctor.
