Lincoln is reading a book and snacking on carrot sticks in the Loud House Dining Room, while J.D. is reading the newspaper and snacking on potato chips, Laney is reading a book and snacking on apple slices, and Varie is reading a book and snacking on celery sticks. Lincoln is vacuuming a carrot stick in his mouth when the doorbell rings.

Lori is on the phone with Whitney. "Wait until you see my new shoes, Whitney. They are literally going to blow your mind!"

Clyde, on the other side of the door, is taken aback by her beauty when she opens the door.

"L-L-Lori?" says Clyde, nervously infatuated.

"Uh oh! Here it comes!" says J.D., sensing what's to come.

Clyde gets a nosebleed, which spills on Lori's shoes, causing her to scream so loudly that the crows flee, and she passes out. J.D. and Laney grab Clyde before he falls to the floor.

"Ugh. But never mind Whitney." Lori was irritated as she hung up the phone. "Guys, this is the fourth pair of shoes Clyde has ruined this month!"

"I'm sorry, Lori. But he can't help himself when he's near you," J.D. explained as he apologized for Clyde.

"How many nosebleeds has Clyde gotten this month?" Varie wondered.

A series of flashbacks to all the other pairs of shoes Clyde ruined.

To begin, Lincoln and Clyde are reading comic books in his room. Lori walks in with the laundry basket and asks, "Lincoln, do you have any laundry?"

Clyde sees Lori and becomes infatuated, "L-L-Lori?" His nosebleeds and ruins her shoes, causing her to scream.

Next, the boys and Laney search the fridge for a snack and pull out a dish with Lori right behind them.

"Hey, you'd better not eat all the leftover gazpacho," Lori warns them.

Clyde notices her and becomes nervous, "L-L-Lori?" He begins to act like a robot. "SYSTEM OVERLOAD. DOES NOT COMPUTE. SYSTEM OVERLOAD. DOES NOT COMPUTE. SYSTEM SHUTTING...DOWN..."

His shutdown knocks the gazpacho from Lincoln's hands and lands on Lori's shoes, causing her to scream, "GAH!"

Lori is in Vanzilla getting ready to leave when she yells to her parents, "Mom, Dad, I'm off to practice!" It startled her when she notices Clyde, who is in there for some reason. "Clyde?! What are you doing here?"

Clyde begins to shake, "L-L-Lori?" His nosebleed squirts all over her shoes, and Lori simply bangs her head on the steering wheel's horn. As they place Clyde in the chair, the flashbacks come to an end.

"Perhaps you should try wearing red shoes," he suggests, but he is frightened when he notices Lori growling at him. "Right. Lincoln, that was a bad idea."

J.D. lets out a bear-like roar before apologizing to Lori, "Sorry, Lori. You were growling like a wolf. By the way, it's one of my favorites."

"Ugh. I just wish Clyde would behave normally around me," Lori groaned as she walked away.

Lori returns briefly and says to J.D., "Thank you for the compliment, J.D."

"You're welcome, Lori," J.D. said as she walked away.

Clyde awakens after she has gone. "So do I, my sweet angel. So do I." He takes out a locket containing a photograph of a startled Lori. "How am I supposed to act normal in the presence of such a beautiful, flawless..." He starts nose bleeding again when he thinks of her.

Lincoln shoves carrot sticks in his friend's nose to stop the bleeding. "Don't worry, buddy. We'll figure something out."

"You've got to calm down when you're around Lori, Clyde," Laney said.

"I know, Laney. But it's difficult." Clyde let out a sigh.

"Perhaps one of Lincoln's other sisters knows how to help Clyde," Varie suggested.

Mr. Grouse was outside, speaking with Leni. "Dang blast it! Eberhardt's dog went number two on my lawn again!"

"Mr. Grouse, try doing what I do. I'll name all 40 states, and by the time I'm done, I'll have forgotten why I was upset," Leni suggested.

"Well, actually, it's 48. But I'll give it a shot," Mr. Grouse corrected her, then groaned and began listing them in alphabetical order. "Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California..."

From the window, Lincoln had observed the entire conversation.

"Actually, Clyde, I may know someone who can help you!" Lincoln said to Clyde.

Leni had just returned inside when she overheard Lincoln conversing with Clyde and asked, "Sure! What do you need my help with?"

Clyde began stammering and couldn't pronounce Lori's name, "L-L-L-L..."

"Lemons?" Leni asked.

"No," J.D. said with a shake of his head.

Clyde continued stammering, "L-L-L-L..."

"Leggings?" Leni asked again.

"No," Laney told her.

Clyde stammered once more, "L-L-L-L..."

"Of course! Loofahs! Well, first of all, natural fibers are the way to go," Leni said, thinking she finally got what Clyde was saying.

"He's talking about Lori," Lincoln said impatiently.

"Oh. She doesn't use a loofah," Leni said before whispering. "That's why she has bacne."

Lincoln, J.D., Laney, and Varie all rolled their eyes at what Leni said.

"No. I'd like to learn how to act normally around her, or at the very least stop bleeding on her shoes," Clyde let out a sigh.

"Have you ever tried stuffing carrot sticks up your nose?" Leni had suggested.

"Yes! And breadsticks, pretzel rods, and corn dogs, all of which should be allowed to cool first." Clyde showed each item with his fingers.

"Ouch," J.D. winced.

"Well, no worries. I know other ways to help you," Leni said as she led Clyde to another room.

Later, Lori sees Lincoln and J.D. playing video games while peeking her head from the second floor.

"Is Clyde still around, Lincoln? This is literally my last pair of wearable shoes," Lori said cautiously.

"Don't worry about Clyde. He's hanging out with Len," Lincoln said as he waved off her concern.

"And Varie and Laney are going to be with them," J.D. added helpfully.

"Really?" Lori responded, hopefully.

Leni and Clyde can be heard laughing from the kitchen. Lori peers in to see what's going on.

"Oh, Leni," Clyde laughed.

"Clyde and Leni? That's...unusual," Lori pondered.

Lori is now practicing her golf swing outside.

"If Lori Loud can sink this four-footer, she'll literally win the Masters," Lori narrates.

Lynn yelled from somewhere in the yard, "Heads up!"

Lori ducks and swings as a frisbee flies by. Lana and Lynn laugh as they chase their disc. The golf ball lands directly in front of the cellar window.

Clyde was now inside the basement talking to Leni, "And if I don't get a nosebleed, I'm usually doing this." He does his robot impression. "SYSTEM OVERLOAD. DOES NOT COMPUTE." He also mimics powering down.

"Usually J.D. snaps him out of it with a snap of his fingers," Laney told Leni.

Lori came by to pick up her golf ball and witnessed part of Clyde's conversation with Leni.

"Hmm...I only thought Clyde acted like an awkward robot around me," Lori thought.

The frisbee that Lynn threw hit Lori, and she yelled, "Oof!" She wasn't paying attention to where she was going and fell into a hole in the backyard from the frisbee.

"Do you mind? This grave has been spoken for," said Lucy, digging a hole with a shovel.

Lana notices what has happened and walks away sheepishly.

Lori was on her phone in the hallway. "Carol did what? Hang on, Whitney. I literally need chips for this story."

"So, when somebody makes me nervous, I just stare at their left ear and recite my ABCs," Leni said to Clyde, holding a pen and paper in the kitchen.

"Got it! Great tip," Clyde exclaims happily and jots it down.

"Heads up!" yelled Lynn from outside.

The frisbee hits Clyde in the nose as it flies into the kitchen. "Ow!" He bleeds from his nostrils and covers it up.

"Clyde, are you alright!?" Laney asked, concerned.

"Yeah," Clyde replied, holding a tissue to his nostrils to prevent more bleeding.

Lori enters the kitchen, giggling, and hides when she sees Leni and Clyde.

With blood on her shoes, Leni screamed, "My shoes!"

Lori had noticed Clyde bleeding on Leni's shoes and wondered, "Now he's getting nosebleeds on her shoes?" Lori gasps as she realizes, "This can only mean one thing: Clyde likes Leni!"

Lori was jubilant and yelled, "I'm free! I'm free!" She gasps with joy and runs to Vanzilla. "Oh, I am going shoe shopping!" She gets into Vanzilla and drives off to the mall.

Back in the kitchen, Varie grabs an ice bag for Clyde. "All right, Clyde, here you go."

"Thank you, Varie," Clyde said gratefully.

Lori later returns with new shoes and was in the living room when she sees Leni.

Leni receives a call and answers it, "Oh, hi, Clyde. What a nice surprise."

"Oh, poor Leni. I wouldn't want to be in her shoes. Literally. Ooh! Lori, that was good," Lori thought.

"Thanks for the shoe cleaning supplies. It was totes sweet of you. You're the most thoughtful person I've ever met, Clyde," Leni replied to Clyde on the phone.

Lori goes to her closet and looks through some of the past gifts Clyde has given her.

"Well, I will give him that. He is pretty thoughtful," Lori thought.

A series of flashbacks show her receiving those gifts. First, there's a telescope with a note written on it, which she reads.

"Congratulations. A new star has been named after you: Corona Lori-alis," Lori thinks to herself.

Lori looks through the telescope at the star in question, and an arrow points to it. Clyde plummets from a tree. "Whoa!" Clyde yells as he lands with a thud. "Oof!"

The next flashback occurs in winter, where Clyde has made a literal snow angel that looks like Lori, but Charles runs up to it to pee on it.

"Charles, no! Not on my snow angel!" Clyde yells, running after him.

In the following flashback, Lori returns home after losing a golf game. She discovers a teddy bear on the steps and reads the attached note. "You may have lost your golf tournament, but you'll never lose my heart."

Lori pressed the bear. "I love you fur-ever," the teddy bear said,

Lori isn't a big fan of it. The flashbacks conclude, and we return to the present. She presses down on the bear once more. "I love you fur-ev..." the teddy bear breaks down. "...er..." it pops an eye.

Lori gasps as she realizes something. "What am I thinking? I have to get Clyde back!"

Downstairs, J.D., Lincoln, Clyde, and Leni are playing video games simultaneously while Laney and Varie are reading books. Lori walks into the room carrying a pitcher of lemonade.

"Oh, hey, guys. I'm wondering if anyone wanted some lemonade." Lori asked.

"No, thank you, Lori. I'm fine," J.D. replied, shaking his head.

Her mere presence causes Clyde to become paranoid as he attempts to act normally.

"Clyde?" Lori asked, perplexed as to why he was shaking so violently.

"Ooh! I'll take some!" Lincoln exclaimed, excited because it sounded so good.

Lori was irritated that Clyde did not respond and told Lincoln, "Get your own." She throws the pitcher aside and walks out of the room.

Clyde relaxes once she leaves. Leni congratulated Clyde for not freaking out: "Great job, Clyde. You were in the same room as Lori and no nosebleed."

"Good job Clyde," J.D. said, smiling at Clyde's progress with Lori.

"Yeah. Your ABC trick really worked," Clyde told her.

"It always does...unless you have to go past the letter P 'cause then it gets really hard. Okay, now let's work on the next step: eye contact," Leni said to Clyde.

The sun shines brightly, but Lori is wrapped in a winter scarf.

"Brr! Boy, it is chilly today. So glad I have this cozy scarf Clyde made me," Lori said, pretending to shiver.

Lincoln said, "It's 85 degrees, and you're sweating."

Lori growls like a lion at Lincoln, then sweetly asks Clyde, "Clyde, where did you learn to be such a great knitter?"

J.D. roars like a leopard at Lori and then compliments her, "Great lion roar, Lori."

"Thank you, J.D. You've made a variety of animal noises," Lori told J.D.

"Not to brag, but Predatory Animals are my specialty," J.D. boasted.

Clyde stares at Lori, holds his breath, and runs back inside. Once Clyde got back inside, Leni asked him curiously, "It worked?"

Clyde exhaled, "Yup. I just held my breath, as you said."

"Great! You're ready for the final step: conversation! But that one we'll need to train for," Leni said, happy at what he has accomplished so far.

"Just give me a second," Clyde said, hyperventilating into his paper bag.

At Clyde's house, it petrified Clyde at what he was about to do. "Okay, I'm ready. Let's do this!"

Lincoln knocks on one of the support beams, acting. "Oh, someone's at the door. Who could it be? Why, it's my eldest sister, Lori."

"OMG, Bobby, texting, literally," Leni says as she walks into the room dressed as Lori.

J.D. was holding back his laughter at Leni's Lori impersonation.

Unbeknownst to them, the real Lori is on her way over with a comic book.

"Clyde can ignore the lemonade and the scarf, but this limited edition Ace Savvy comic will definitely do the trick," Lori said to herself.

Clyde was shaking badly: "H-h-h-hi, Lori. H-h-h-how's it going?"

"Super job, Clyde!" Leni said happily.

"Great job, buddy," J.D. said, giving him a thumbs up.

Lincoln agreed. Yeah! You sounded totally natural!"

"Thanks," Clyde smiled as he showed them an ice pack under his shirt/ "The ice pack was a great idea." He removed the ice pack. "It really kept me distracted; though I can't feel my belly button."

Lori approached the door and heard Leni talking to Clyde. "This has been totes fun. You're such a great guy, Clyde," Leni told him.

"Thanks, Leni. And may I say, you've never looked more beautiful," Clyde said, complimenting her.

Leni giggled at the compliment, "Oh, Clyde!"

Lori threw the comic and grumbled, "That does it!"

Lori is changing her appearance to look more like Leni in the bathroom. Lori thinks, "So, Clyde likes the way Leni looks? Fine! I can look like Leni!"

She tries to brush her hair, but the brush snaps, much to her chagrin. Outside, her sisters are impatiently waiting for her and demanding that she comes out.

Lori opens the door and screams, "LEAVE ME ALONE! I'M BUSY!"

The firstborn's new appearance takes the other sisters aback.

"Uh...why do you look like Leni's messed up twin?" Lynn asked, gaping at her.

"Because I'm trying to win Clyde back!" Lori responded.

"Win him back? He's obsessed with you," Luan said, confused by what she had just said.

"No. He's obsessed with Leni now. But not for long." Lori replied sinisterly.

"Why do you even care?" Lana asked, confused, since she knew Lori didn't like him.

"Yeah. You hide when he comes over and throws his gifts in the trash," Lucy told her while folding her arms.

"You use his homemade cookies as doorstops," Luan said, not impressed.

"Well, yes, but-" Lori said before Lola interrupted her.

"Do you like Clyde now?" Lola asked, wanting to know.

"Of course not!" Lori yelled, denying it altogether.

"Well, then, why are you trying to win him back?" Lana asked her rhetorically.

"I just need him to like me. Now stop asking questions! I know what I'm doing!" Lori yelled back at them and walked back into the bathroom, glancing in the mirror and sighing as she realized something. "What am I doing?"

Lori thinks, "You're trying to win back Clyde. Now stop farting around and straighten that hair!"

"No, I don't need to win Clyde back. I need to apologize to him," Lori responded out loud.

"Don't be a fool!" Lori thought to herself.

"Shove it! I'm not listening to you anymore," Lori growled.

The other sisters, except for Lola, gently inch away from the restroom as Lori talks to herself.

"I don't think I need to tinkle after all," Lola said uncomfortably.

Back at Clyde's house, Clyde confidently strides out of the house.

Leni: "Okay, Clyde, your training is complete. Are you ready to go have a normal conversation with Lori?" Leni asks.

"You know it!" says Clyde, holding up a fish from his shirt. "I'm hoping this frozen salmon takes longer to melt than that ice pack."

Clyde gives his trainer a salute. She and her brother give him a thumbs up, and he walks over to Lori at her house. Lori sighs as she walks out of the bathroom. Clyde is being pursued by a swarm of cats who have smelled the aroma of the salmon.

Clyde gets worried when he sees the number of cats. "Nice kitties," he says.

He sheepishly smiles and runs away, screaming. The cats are chasing after him. Lori makes her way down the stairs while Clyde approaches the front door. When Lori opens it, she sees Clyde standing on the steps.

"Clyde! I was just on my way to see you. There's something I really wanted to tell you. First, I wanted to apologize for never appreciating how kind and thoughtful you are. And second, I wanna thank you for making me feel so good about myself all these years. You're a special guy, Clyde, and literally, anyone would be lucky to be your crush," Lori told him.

She hugs him, causing his nostrils to bleed all over her shoes, much to her surprise. Lincoln catches his unconscious friend as he passes out.

"Lori, what happened?" Lincoln asked her, confused.

They bring Clyde over to the sofa, and Lori tells Lincoln, "I don't know. I was just telling Clyde that I'm okay with him liking Leni now, and-"

Lincoln interrupted her, confused. "What are you talking about? He doesn't like Leni."

"But I saw them in the kitchen. He got a nosebleed all over her shoes," Lori explained.

"Yeah, because he got hit in the nose," Lincoln said as he rolled his eyes at her.

J.D. explained, "Lynn's frisbee hit him in the face, and Varie grabbed him an ice bag."

"Well, why was he acting like a robot with her?" Lori asked, confused.

This time, Varie stated, "He was merely showing us what happens when he's around you."

"But I was just over at his house. I heard him say she was beautiful," Lori said, even more confused.

"Because Leni was dressed like you," Laney explained.

"What? Why were they doing all this?" Lori demanded to know.

"Because Leni was helping Clyde learn to act normal around you, just like you wanted," Lincoln explained to Lori.

"Yeah, and we were trying to help him," J.D. explained.

"So...he never stopped having a crush on me?" Lori asked.

They shake their heads no, and Lori looks at Clyde with joy.

"HA! I knew it!" said Lori's thoughts.

"No, you didn't!" Lori retorted back out loud.

It disturbed Lincoln to see Lori talking to herself and asked, "Uh...who are you talking to?"

"No one," Lori denied.

Leni entered the room still in her Lori costume and saw Clyde had passed out on the couch. "Oh, no! Poor Clyde."

Clyde suddenly sees the real Lori and Leni in her outfit and becomes nervously infatuated. "T-T-T-Two Lori's?" He goes into robot mode. "SYSTEM OVERLOAD. EE-OO."

J.D. snapped his fingers in Clyde's face and reverted to normal.

"Thanks, J.D.," Clyde said, relieved.

It amazed Lori at what she had just seen J.D. do. "Wow. That literally works."

"Leni, you can take off your Lori costume now," Varie stated.

"Okay," replied Leni as she took off her wig.

"Boy, this has been one strange day," Laney said to J.D.

"You said it, Laney," J.D. agreed.

THE END.
