Percy Weasley was tired.

His youngest brother was quite possible the most annoying Gryffindor he'd ever met. It all started with the kid's sorting – which had lasted a record-breaking hour and three minutes – and when he had finally been sorted into Gryffindor no one was even surprised. In fact, the rest of the students had already finished with their dinner and gone back to their respective common rooms by the time the hat made up its mind. Christopher had waltzed into the Gryffindor Common Room with a plate of bacon and eggs in one hand and a fork in the other after the fact like it was completely normal.

The twins had found it hilarious, Ron also laughed, Ginny bounded over to ask what had taken so long, and Percy had to deal with introducing his brother to Gryffindor House. The fact that his brother only listened to the tour with half an ear wasn't helping, though the twins did mention that Christopher had borrowed Percy's owl to send something to Bill, most likely about Hogwarts as the youngest and oldest of the Weasley children had something of a rapport going on. Percy didn't even try to understand how they had managed to convince his owl to take Christopher's message to Egypt.

After the tour was given and Christopher was shown just where the boys dorm was, Oliver Wood came over and started asking Percy about when his youngest brother would be available for quidditch practice. Percy didn't even know why Oliver was asking him and not the person in question who was standing right next to him. Christopher helpfully added that Percy was quote "the responsible adult" and that any related questions that needed an adult should be directed at him. So, quidditch practice and potential recruitment of a first year needed adult approval, and Percy was the designated adult.

Percy didn't even bother mentioning that it was still technically against the rules to have first year students on the school quidditch teams, but Harry Potter's inclusion had set a precedent, and that meant the doors were basically wide open.

That had led to a conversation with Professor McGonagall about putting his youngest brother on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Oliver Wood and Christopher decided to join him in this, and their head of house didn't look at all impressed when the three of them filed into her office on the very first day of term. Christopher had only been a Gryffindor for the better part of an hour at that point and Oliver had that look on his face that spelled trouble.

"You do realize Mr. Wood, that term has only just started? It is so early in fact that Mr. Weasley here hasn't even attended his first classes at Hogwarts, and yet you want him on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team already?"

Oliver wasn't at all perturbed by their head of house's words and went straight on about getting Christopher on the team. It was a level of Gryffindor-bullheadedness that was frankly surprising to see in the usually levelheaded quidditch captain.

"He needs to be on the team professor." Oliver said and grasped Christopher by the shoulders. "I can guarantee that with him on the team we'll be winning the next seven straight Quidditch Cups."

"Don't worry professor." Christopher added. "You don't even need to buy me a Nimbus like for Harry. I'll do it for free!"

Percy wasn't able to fight the snort that came out of him when he heard that statement. Professor McGonagall was also taken aback by it and looked at Christopher as if he was either mad or insolent. In all honesty Christopher might have been all of the above. Oliver just took that as even more incentive to have him on the team. All in all, the conversation basically ended there, with Oliver and Christopher already talking about quidditch drills, and Percy and Professor McGonagall just standing there wondering what the hell happened.

"So, he's on the team?" Percy asked.

"Have a good night Mr. Weasley." Was all that Professor McGonagall said and then the two of them parted ways.

Percy just nodded at that and then headed up towards his own dorm. His mind was already thinking about the letter to his parents that he'd write about the younger twins and their sorting into Gryffindor, how Ron and Harry weren't at the feast, and how the elder twins were probably responsible for that. Then he remembered that he didn't have access to his owl, as Hermes was on his way to Egypt of all places.

"Would you slow down?"

"Can' got quibbish pratchis 'ater."

Ginny Weasley shook her head as her twin brother wolfed down his breakfast. Eggs, bacon, chicken, and broccoli were all being shoveled into his mouth at an alarming rate. She didn't even know that they were able to even get broccoli during breakfast but there it was on Christopher's plate. The little green vegetables were disappearing fast, and the eggs were already gone. Chicken breast and bacon strips were rapidly disappearing as well, and it was all being scarfed down with the assistance of milk.

"Its only the second of September, is there even quidditch practice this early?" Ginny asked.

"There isn't." Harry Potter said, though he did look guilty as the Great Hall had previously just experienced Ron receiving a howler from their mother. Ginny still wasn't able to not blush whenever Harry was around and suddenly her tongue wasn't working with her.

"Special practice." Christopher said and Ginny's eyes widened as she looked upon her brother's now clean plate. All the eggs, bacon, chicken, and broccoli were now gone. The glass of milk was empty, and Christopher was standing up. "Me and Oliver are gonna get some early practice to see where I would work best on the team."

With that, Christopher moved to leave the Great Hall, and he was closely followed by Oliver Wood himself. The Gryffindor Quidditch Captain had also shoveled his breakfast down and now the two of them were all but jogging out towards the quidditch pitch.

Ginny did feel a little jealous that her twin brother had gotten onto the quidditch team basically before he had even been sorted, but there was no denying just how good he was on a broom, and Christopher did promise to teach her all of his moves. So, she simply turned back to her breakfast and then realized that Christopher wouldn't be here to receive his schedule. They were both first years however, so they'd have all the same classes, so she Professor McGonagall made her way down the table with a stack of parchment, Ginny simply took both and explained to the professor why.

Professor McGonagall just frowned at that before handing Ginny two schedules and then continuing on down the table whilst muttering under her breath about idiots on brooms. Ginny knew that her brother was a little weird and at times he certainly was an idiot. He also didn't do any homework if he could help it and as she looked down at the double Charms they had as their first class, she was starting to wonder if she was going to have to harangue her brother into doing his work for the next seven years.

Because knowing Christopher, he'd either push it off or completely forget about it until the night before it was due, and Ginny sighed as she packed up her things and headed towards the quidditch pitch. If she was going to have to baby sit her little brother, she as at least going to get some quidditch knowledge out of it.

"Do I even want to know how your youngest brother got ahold of something like this?"

William Weasley rubbed the back of his neck as Albert Aldridge, Head Curse-Breaker of the Gringotts British branch currently present in Egypt, sighed as the rest of the Curse-Breakers had been assembled. All operations had been called to a halt as they had a very dangerous and dark artifact on their hands, literally for William, and there was no way that they could continue with their work with something like a horcrux just laying around.

Everyone else in the tent was also wondering just how William had a horcrux mailed to him via owl. It wasn't every day that Curse-Breakers even came across horcruxes. This was some really dark magic and Gringotts had only dealt with a couple others in the past. It was still basically uncharted territory.

"Uh, I honestly don't know." William admitted. "Half the things that Christopher does is… different."

"Well, when we get back to Britain, I've got to meet the guy." Louis Rothson said and slapped William on the back. "Not only does he know where to find dark artifacts, he mails them to us as well!"

"And here I was thinking that Charlie was the dangerous Weasley." Cindy Boothroyd muttered off to the side.

"Before we do anything like heading back to Great Britain." Albert said and drew all of them back to the situation at hand. "We need to deal with the horcrux."

They all looked towards the trunk that had been repurposed as a horcrux containment unit that was so heavily warded that it wouldn't even be legal to own in Great Britain. The damn thing was nearly overloaded with magic and for good reason. The little black diary was positively radiating dark magic and it had taken only about two minutes for everyone to realize just what it was.

So, chucked into the trunk it was, and now they were going to destroy it.

"Well, we are in a desert, and there is nothing but sand and an old tomb around here." Louis said and gestured towards the tent flap and the vast desert all around them. "I'd say that Fiendfyre is the way to go."

"And just how are we going to explain that to our Egyptian colleagues?" Albert asked plainly. "Glassing a small portion of the desert is bound to draw their attention."

"They don't already know?" William asked. "We did make quiet a commotion in throwing the damn thing into a trunk."

William and his fellow Curse-Breakers all looked towards Albert. The man simply sighed before rubbed his forehead, then immediately regretting the action as he just spread more sweat and grime around. Again, all of them casted a glance towards the trunk containing the horcrux before Albert gestured for them all to follow him.

"Come along people, we've got some Egyptians to speak with, a horcrux to destroy, and then a long conversation with one Christopher Weasley about just what the hell he's been doing to get ahold of a Merlin damned horcrux in the first place."

"Hey Colin, can I borrow your camera for a second?"

"I don't know Chris-"

"Actually, I need a proper photographer anyway and you look like just the person I need, so come along!"

Christopher Weasley didn't bother to wait for a reply from his fellow first year Gryffindor and simply looped an arm around the kid with the camera. The kid was also just an inch or so taller than Christopher – much to the youngest Weasley's consternation – and so the movement was a little awkward. Still, Colin Creevey came along with him, and the two of them made their way through the hallways of Hogwarts.

Colin struggled with his bag and camera for a moment but soon got them all in order. Christopher didn't have his bag with him as it was still sitting in their dorm. Ginny would probably chide him about it later on, but Christopher didn't really care. He'd learned everything there was to learn over the course of many lifetimes. At this point he was just here to have fun and what better way to have fun than to annoy Percy?

"Where are we going?" Colin asked as they rounded another corner.

"The Ravenclaw Common Room." Christopher answered and ignored Colin's sputtering.

"The Ravenclaw Common Room?! W-Why are we going there?"

"Oh, calm down Colin, its not like we're heading towards the dungeons. Ravenclaw is full of books and people who take studying too seriously. Nothing scary at all up there."

That was in fact a half-truth. There were in fact many scary things that involved Ravenclaw and none of them were appropriate to tell an eleven-year-old boy like Colin. Memories of the Ravenclaw Dueling Club and the afterhours discussions that almost always turned heated came back to mind. They were good memories and if Christopher thought hard enough about it, he could still smell the scent of books in the air and charred stone from the Ravenclaw Tower's dueling hall.

"We're not supposed to know where the other common rooms are." Colin said as they started to ascend the many wandering stairs of Hogwarts.

"You know, it's not actually in the Hogwarts Code of Conduct that we can't know where they are, so I asked Penelope where it was, and she told me."

Not that he needed to ask her where it was, but appearances for appearances' sake and all that.

"Penelope? You mean Prefect Clearwater?!" Colin exclaimed.

"Relax." Christopher said as they reached the seventh floor and headed towards the Ravenclaw Tower. "Its not like she's an Auror or anything. Penelope's just a student like the rest of us."

"But she's a sixth year and a prefect." Colin countered. "We could lose points."

"Again, we're not breaking any rules, and don't you wanna help me annoy Percy?"

"Not really, he's your older brother and a prefect as well, and I also don't know how us going to the Ravenclaw Common Room is going to annoy him."

"You just need some more faith my dear photographer." Christopher said with a smile.

Colin grumbled some more about how stupid of an idea this was, but Christopher paid him no mind. To be honest this entire idea was stupid, but it had sprung up on him like a man from the shadows and now he just had to do it. He might also start a tradition amongst his family and maybe even trick the others to go along with it. Also, it would be a way to spread his greatness as an up-and-coming dark lord, or that was what he'd tell Fred and George once they caught on to what he was doing.

Eventually they found themselves climbing up the spiral staircase that led to the Ravenclaw Common Room. There were some odd looks given to them by the older Ravenclaw students that they passed but the two first year Gryffindors just ignored them. Or more accurately, Christopher ignored them, and Colin tried to.

"Ah! Here we are." Christopher said as they took in the entrance to the Ravenclaw Common Room.

In front of them was no door but just an expanse of aged wood. There was no door handle nor keyhole to be seen. Just a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. Or was that a raven? Either way, Christopher grabbed a hold of it and knocked.

Colin jumped back in shock when the knocker opened its eyes and beak to speak to them.

"What gets wetter the more it dries?" The voice had a musical quality to it.

"What?" Colin asked as he looked at the knocker more closely. Christopher also noted that the kid was fiddling with his camera and soon enough a picture was taken of the knocker's awakened state.

"Good thinking Colin." Christopher said and posed next to the knocker. He gave a thumbs up with a bright smile on his face and Colin snapped another photo. Then Colin handed Christopher the camera and showed him how it worked before getting a picture of himself with the knocker as well. Christopher wondered just how the camera was taking moving pictures and how the film would be developed later on.

"You boys are supposed to answer the riddle." The knocker said.

"I know Herb, just give up a minute." Christopher said as he held the camera in a way so that all three of them could get within the frame for a picture.

"Is your name really Herb?" Colin asked the knocker as Christopher snapped a selfie of the three of them.

"No, it is not." Herb the knocker said. "I am simply the Bronze Knocker."

"Don't listen to him Colin." Christopher said and took another photograph. "Herb here is just being all grouchy."

"Such insolence from a first year! And not even one from Ravenclaw at that!"

"Yeah, yeah, calm down Herb. Also, the answer is a towel gets wetter the more it dries."

"I shouldn't even be letting you two in." Herb said.

"But we did get the password right, so you have to open up." Christopher chirped back as he returned the camera to Colin.

Herb grumbled some more as the door swung open and Christopher dragged Colin inside. The other Gryffindor's protests went unheard as they marched right on into the Ravenclaw Common Room and got at least a fifty odd looks. Christopher paid none of them any mind and simply looked around for the person he was looking for. Not finding her he went over and grabbed the nearest Ravenclaw student by the arm.

"You. Got any idea where Penelope is?"

"What? Who the hell are you two?" The Ravenclaw student asked and then his eyes went to their ties. "And how are you even in our Common Room?"

"We answered the riddle, obviously, now about Penelope…"

"Christopher Weasley." That sweet but somewhat irritated voice of one Penelope Clearwater rang throughout the Ravenclaw Common Room. "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you!" Christopher said with a smile as he let go of the other Ravenclaw student and looked towards his older brother's girlfriend. She had her hands on her hips in a way that might have been intimidating to anyone else, but Christopher had grown up as a Weasley this time around, and only his mother could put the fear of god in him nowadays.

"You're not supposed to be in here." Penelope pointed out.

"Well, technically…"

"Yes, technically its not against the rules, but its an unspoken one so let's get you two out of here before I have to take points." With that, Penelope took both of them by the shoulder and started shuffling them out.

"Wait! We're here to mess with Percy!" Christopher said and gave Penelope his winning smile.

"Mess with Percy?" Penelope asked as they were halfway towards the door.

"Yeah, isn't that right Colin?"

"Uh-"

"Exactly! So come on, wanna help me mess with Percy?" Christopher asked.

"This isn't going to hurt him, is it?" Penelope asked and she was almost all in for it.

"We're just taking some pictures. What's the worst that could happen?"
