Lily was inside the Simulator, dressed in a fur parka.

J.D., Varie, Lori, Lana & Lola, Laney, and Lisa were in the control room.

The Simulator activated, and Lily found herself in the freezing tundra of Alaska.

Lily realized, "I'm in Nome, Alaska."

Lily was wearing a thermometer on her arm, showing a temperature of -35 degrees.

"It's 35 below zero," Lily said. "That's cold."

Lily looked around and noticed that there was no one on the streets.

She went into the hospital after seeing it nearby. Lily saw a lot of sick children on the verge of death.

Lily realized right away where she was. "Oh, no. I'm in the 1925 Diphtheria Epidemic. It's a good thing I've had a Diphtheria shot," she muttered.

Lily went back outside and saw the famous wolf dog, Balto.

"Balto?" Lily inquired.

Balto looked at her, curious as to what she wanted, and replied, "Yeah."

"My name is Lily Loud, and I want to do everything I can to help the children," Lily explained.

At that, Balto smiled. "I had a feeling you would. Let's go."

Balto and Lily set out to find the missing sled dog team carrying the children's medicine. The hospital urgently requested more Diphtheria Antitoxins from Anchorage, Alaska. They attempted to send it by sea, but the pack ice from the Bering Sea made that impossible. They attempted to deliver it by plane, but blizzards and whiteout conditions reduced visibility to zero, forcing all planes to be grounded until conditions improved. The antitoxin was shipped by rail from Anchorage to Nenana, which is 550 miles away. The Sled Dog team sent from Nome to Nenana had to deliver it back from Nenana, which was 550 miles away from Nome and 550 miles back. The Sled Dog team was about 100 miles from Nome.

They walked through a lot of ice and snow. The temperature was dropping as they travelled.

Balto took a whiff of their scent. "Come on, Lily. Steele and his team came this way."

"We have to hurry," Lily said worriedly.

As Balto and Lily continued on their journey, they went through blowing snow and bitter cold.

They eventually found the lost sled dog team at the bottom of an ice hill.

"There they are," Lily exclaimed with relief.

Lily and Balto slid down the hill, and the dogs noticed them.

"Balto!" exclaimed Star.

"Is that?" Nikki asked.

"Balto, how did you find us, and who is she?" Kaltag asked.

"Is anyone hurt?" Balto inquired.

"We're all okay," Star said, "but our musher hit his head and didn't get up."

"And he's not moving," Kaltag pointed out.

"Oh man," Lily said, worried. "My name is Lily Loud, and we've come to help you."

Balto noticed one of the dogs was missing and inquired, "Where is Steele?"

"He abandoned us," Ronul explained.

"Steele is a traitor!" Nikki declared.

Balto shook his head, not surprised. "Typical. Alright, let's load up. Lily, you're going to be the musher."

Lily nodded. "Okay. I'll try."

The musher was loaded onto a sled by Balto, Kaltag, and Star, with Balto serving as the lead dog.

Lily checked the musher for a pulse and found that he was still alive.

"Balto, being part wolf may have been a weakness for some, but it's a great gift for you," Lily explained.

"Why do you say that, Lily?" Balto inquired, puzzled as to what she meant.

Lily decided to explain. "Because you have the power and the strength to help and become a great inspiration. You can do it, Balto. I believe in you. All you have to do is believe in yourself."

Balto realized that being part wolf is not a weakness, but a powerful strength.

"Are you ready, Balto?" Lily asked.

Balto nodded. "Ready."

"What about the rest of you?" Lily asked.

All the dogs responded. "Ready."

Lily smiled. "All right. Mush!"

And they were off. They were braving the hazardous conditions of the Alaskan wilderness. The temperature was -50 degrees, whiteout conditions and blizzards made it nearly impossible to see ahead of them, the wind chill was -85 degrees, and it was cold.

They entered a forest and noticed a lot of scratch marks on the trees.

"There are marks all over the trees," Star pointed out.

"It has to be Steele," Lily reasoned. "He's trying to throw us off the trail."

Balto was sniffing the air and pointing his ear to the west-northwest when he found the right road.

"This way," Balto explained.

"Mush!" Lily yelled.

They continued, having to cross the Rocky Mountains.

They were crossing an ice bridge, and Lily could hear the bridge cracking.

"Uh oh! The bridge is cracking! Mush!"

They dashed off the bridge as it crumbled, just in time.

Balto breathed a sigh of relief. "Whew! That was a close call. Good call, Lily."

Lily smiled. "Thanks, guys. Let's keep going."

As they continued, Balto accidentally tickled Star's nose, causing Star to sneeze.

Kaltag said, "Gesundheit."

The sneeze triggered an avalanche of snow on a nearby mountain, and Lily saw it coming.

"Avalanche! Mush!"

They all ran as the avalanche approached, and Balto noticed a cave entrance, so they went inside.

As they progressed deeper into the cave, they discovered it was a large ice cave.

"Wow. What an ice cave," Lily said in awe.

Balto agreed. "It truly is a beautiful sight."

Nikki nodded in agreement. "Yeah."

As they walked, a drop of water landed on Balto's head, and they noticed that the icicles on the ceiling looked like they could fall with the slightest noise.

"Shh!" Balto said.

"We have to be quiet," Lily says quietly.

They progressed deeper into the Ice Cave, with Lily walking alongside the sled.

The sled then made a thump as it landed off a step, causing an icicle to fall and strike the arch in the sled.

The ceiling was on the verge of collapsing.

"Mush!" yelled Balto.

Lily grabbed the sled and climbed aboard as they ran. As they ran, icicles began to fall, and Lily used her water powers to swat them away from the sled and medicine.

They saw the exit, and a bunch of icicles broke off, allowing them to escape just in time.

Back in Nome, everyone assumed the medicine would not arrive, and all hope was lost until Balto began howling.

When Lily and the team reached the top of the hill, they saw Nome ahead, and someone had created an artificial Aurora Borealis to serve as a signal beacon.

Hope has finally arrived.

"There it is," Lily said, narrowing her eyes. "Hold on, kids! We're almost there!"

Balto stated, "Jenna."

The lantern at the telegraph station was lit, all the lights in town were turned on, and the entire town gathered at the track to cheer wildly as Lily and the team arrived and parked in front of the hospital.

Curtis Welch, the doctor, came out and saw Lily on the sled. "Thank you. Thank you so much, Miss?"

"My name is Lily Loud, and I believe you must be the doctor," Lily explained.

Dr. Welch nodded. "Yes, I am. Lily. You, Balto, and the sled dogs have saved us all."

"We did what had to be done for Nome," Lily explained.

The antitoxin was administered to the children 20 minutes later, and a man emerged. "Lily, Balto?"

"Yes?" Lily replied.

"I'm Rosy's dad. She wants to see you both."

He took them both to the hospital, and Rosy had just awoken.

Rosy raised her head and asked, "Mommy?"

Her mom smiled at her. "Rosy darling."

"I fell asleep," Rosy admitted.

Rosy's mother explained what had happened, and Lily was invited to join them.

"Are you Lily?" Rosy inquired.

"Yes, I am," Lily replied.

Lily sat on Rosy's bed, and Rosy hugged her.

Balto took Rosy's musher hat and took it to her.

Rosy spotted Balto. "Balto. I'd be lost without both of you."

Lily smiled at her. "Rosy, I'm so glad you're okay. We had to do what we had to do."

Rosy was overjoyed.

President Calvin Coolidge presented Lily and Balto with the Congressional Gold Medal at the White House for their heroic deed in saving Nome from destruction. Even though Alaska did not become an official state until 1959, it was still a part of the United States Territories.

Lily saw herself in the newspaper and bought a copy at a local newsstand in Washington, D.C.

She left as a vortex appeared, and the exercise ended.

At dinner, Lily revealed everything that had happened, and Lynn Sr. and Rita were very proud of her. Lily was warming herself in front of the fireplace.

"I'm so proud of you, Lily," Lynn Sr. said, smiling at her.

Lily was shivering as she responded, "I h-h-had to do w-w-w-what I had to d-d-do dad. I'm so cold.'

"It gets very cold in Alaska during the winter," Rita explained, "but you were very brave out there."

Lily attempted to smile at her. "I know m-m-mom."

J.D. approaches her and wraps her in two blankets while offering her a cup of hot cocoa.

"Thank you, J.D.," Lily said as she took the cocoa.

J.D. responded, "No problem, Lily."

Lily was shivering and freezing. Lily, on the other hand, is a real hero.

THE END.
