Cliff blinks at Leni through a looking hole as she sits on the sofa.

Cliff's blinking caused Leni to gasp. "O-M-Gosh! What does that mean?"

It is revealed that Lincoln is looking at them through a periscope. He pulls it back and enters Lori and Carol's room, where the other sisters and their father, J.D., Varie, Aylene, Lapis, Matilda, Jeri, The Ed's, Haiku, Tabby, Gabrielle, Liam, Zach, Riley, Naruto and the Girls, Ben and Gwen are gathered, and closes the door.

"Okay, Leni should be occupied for a while," Lincoln explained. "I told her she could communicate with Cliff by blinking."

"Good thinking, buddy," J.D. remarked.

"Let's hope she doesn't come up here too soon," Varie added.

Lori bangs her shoe gavel. "I call this meeting to order!"

"Operation: Rita's Surprise Party is a Go," Carol declared.

Lincoln said to the viewers, "We've tried throwing a few surprise parties in this family, but it's always gone wrong. And we all know why. Or should I say, who?"

Flashback to a surprise party.

Lynn watches from the door's window and gets down. "Okay, she's coming. Everyone hide."

Lincoln, Luna, Luan, Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa all go into hiding, while Lily hides her eyes. Leni is outside with a party hat and present and Lori walks up to the door.

"Leni, what are you doing?" Lori asked.

"Shh!" whispered Leni. "I'm hiding for your surprise party."

Everyone inside groans at the spoiler.

Flashback to another ruined surprise with Lisa looking angry and holding something.

"Siblings, I'm perplexed as to why I just received an invitation to my own surprise birthday party," Lisa explained.

"Oh!" exclaimed Leni. "I sent that. I wanted to make sure you'd be there."

Lori shut her up and the others groan disappointed.

Switch to another flashback with Leni talking to Luna and holding dresses.

"Should I wear the pink or blue dress to your surprise party?" Leni asked.

"Dude!" Luna yelled angrily.

"What?" asked Leni, confused.

Luan walks in wearing two striped yellow and brown party hats. "I pink you just blue the surprise!" She laughs. "Get it? But seriously, you ruined it."

End flashbacks

"Well, this year, we want to throw a surprise party for Mom, which means that, as much as we love her, we have to keep Leni out of it," Lincoln explained.

Lori is showing them a card of her and Carol cleaning up. "Okay, guys, let me break it down for you. Me and Carol will do the cleaning." She switches to a card of Penny, Sakura, Fu, Matilda, Lola and Lynn with treats. "Penny, Anastasia, Sakura, Fu, Matilda, Lola and Lynn are on food." She switches to a card of Edd, Gabrielle, Naruto, Ino, Linka, Haiku, Lucy and Lana with balloons and streamers. "Double D, Gabrielle, Naruto, Ino, Linka, Haiku, Lana and Lucy will do the decorations." She switches to a card with Aylene, Tenten, Eddy, Shannon, Mikari, Luna and Luan performing and Ben, Gwen, Jeri, Hinata and Lisa with a list. "Aylene, Tenten, Eddy, Shannon, Mikari, Luan and Luna will handle the entertainment. Ben, Gwen, Jeri, Hinata and Lisa will be in charge of the guest list." She then switched to a card of Laney, Riley, Crysta, and Lily with a clipboard. "Laney, Riley, Crysta and Lily will plan the whole party." She then switches to a card of their parents leaving the house. "And Dad, Tabby, Lapis, Liam and Zach will get Mom out of the house."

"What about me?" Lincoln asked. "What's my job?"

"What's our job?" J.D. asked.

"You, Ed, J.D., and Varie have the most important job of all," Lori added. She turns to a card of Leni with the phrase, "Just make J.D., Ed, Varie, and Lincoln do it." "You four must keep Leni distracted until Mom comes home. If she's coming our way, just yell a code word. Let's make it "daffodil"."

"You can count on us, General Lori!" J.D. says as he salutes her.

"We will not fail," Varie replied confidently.

"Leni is my girlfriend, and I'm always willing to be with her!" Ed replied.

"Uh, can it be something cooler?" Lincoln asked. "Like serpent or quasar or-"

When Leni walks in, everyone screams, even Leni.

"Is this how we're saying hello now?" Leni asked. "I like it! Don't mind me. I'm just getting my polish." She reaches for her polish. "Cliff blinked that he wants me to do his nails. Oh, by the way, while I have you guys, it's Mom's birthday today! I was thinking we should throw her one of our famous Loud Family surprise parties. If everyone agrees, I'll go tell her right now!"

"No!" shouted J.D. "Uh, I mean, maybe Ms. Rita doesn't want a party this year."

"Yeah, J.D.'s right," Lori agreed. "Let's just keep it low key."

"Yeah," Lynn Sr. agreed. "Totes."

"Definitely," responded the other sisters. "Low-key."

"Uh, hey, Leni," Lincoln began, "while you're here, we have some urgent fashion questions for you."

While J.D., Varie, Ed, and Lincoln keep Leni distracted, the rest of the family left the room.

"Guys, all fashion questions are urgent," Leni explained.

Downstairs, the other sisters notice their parents, Tabby, Liam, Lapis, and Zach, leaving.

"Okay, kids, we're leaving now!" Lynn Sr. acted. "I'm going shopping with your mother because I love to shop!"

He walks out the door, winks at them, and then shuts it.

"We should stop including Dad in surprise party planning, too," Lucy suggested.

"He's not that bad," J.D. pointed out.

Later, Laney, Riley, and Lily were carrying clipboards, wearing ties and glasses.

"Official Party Planners Laney, Riley, Lily, and Crysta reporting for duty!" Laney announced. She looks at the clipboard. "Let's see here. Decorations." She enters the living room and notices Lucy, Naruto, and Ino putting out black, orange, and purple streamers, as well as Double D, Gabrielle, Linka, Lana, and Haiku inflating red, blue, orange, brown, and black balloons. "Uh, great job guys. But, do you think we should use all of the rainbow's colors for these decorations?"

"We have to keep it low key, remember?" Lucy remarked.

"I know," Laney answered, "but it doesn't scream party yet."

Back in Lori and Carol's room, Leni pulls out a plaid fabric. "And this is plaid."

"Pretty," J.D. commented.

"Plaid is my favorite," Varie added. "I've always wanted to make Scottish Kilts for all of us."

"That is totes adorbs!" Leni gushed.

"Aw, Leni, I love it when you make great clothes," Ed commented.

"Thanks, Ed," Leni murmured.

"So, um...is there a difference between plaid and checkers?" Lincoln asked.

"Huge difference!" remarked Leni. "But to really help you understand, I should go get some samples from downstairs."

"Wait, Leni!" gasped J.D.

Lincoln blocks the door so she can't get out. "No! I mean, I have a more important . Is it ever okay to wear jorts?"

"O-M-Gosh, Lincoln!" Leni said, shocked. "We need to go back to square one."

They all sigh with relief. Leni grabs him and places him on the bed.

"I need to hydrate before we start," Leni says as she walks out of the room.

J.D. was panicking. "Rose! No! I mean, BUTTERCUP!"

Lincoln was also panicking. "TULIP! I MEAN, DAISY! The heck was that word?"

While putting up their decorations, Lucy, Naruto, Ino, Gabrielle, Edd, Haiku, Linka, and Lana notice Leni.

"Ah!" panicked Lucy.

Naruto performs a genjutsu, and Leni is ignorant because it is all hidden behind an illusion.

There is a farting sound.

"Oh, sorry, guys," Leni apologized, thinking she had farted. "Must've been something I ate." She goes into the kitchen.

"Naruto, good thinking with the genjutsu," Ino complimented.

Naruto replied, "Thanks, Ino.

In the kitchen, Matilda and Fu are preparing a pizza, Sakura and Lynn are drizzling hot sauce on a sandwich, and Lola and Penny are decorating a cake.

"Hey, guys!" Leni said as she entered the kitchen.

The food preparation group lets out a yelp. Fu uses a Genjutsu to hide everything, so Leni doesn't see everything.

"Oh, right," Leni recalled. "I forgot about our new greeting." She screams and goes to grab a drink of water; she comes to a stop with inspiration. "Even if we're not throwing Mom a party, maybe we should make her favorite cake."

Lynn added, "You heard what Lori said. "We're keeping it low-key."

Enter Lincoln, who is sweating and panicking.

"DAFFODIL!" was shouted by J.D., Varie, Ed, and Lincoln as they panted.

"You're not ready for floral prints, guys," Leni misinterpreted.

Back in Lori and Carol's room

"Well, that covers everything!" Leni remarked.

Her entire room is covered in different design fabrics.

"Literally," Lincoln responded.

"Yeah," J.D. agreed.

"I love all of these colors," Ed commented.

"I'm going to gossip with Cliff," Leni announced.

"Wait!" yelled Lincoln. He is blocking the door. "Uh, hey, you're always looking for a dress model. Well..." Nervously, he grinned. "...I'm your guy."

"Me too," J.D. added.

"Same here," Varie pointed out.

"Me three," Ed replied.

Leni gasps and begins working on a new outfit with them as models.

"My sisters owe me big time," Lincoln grumbled.

"What was that?" Leni asked.

"Uh, I said, I think we need to redo the hemline," Lincoln said, grinning nervously once more.

J.D. is now dressed in a red, orange and yellow plaid Scottish Tartan Kilt that reaches his ankles.

"Boy, I look great in a Scottish Kilt," J.D. exclaimed.

Varie is dressed in an Aqua Blue, Aqua Green, and Dark Blue patterned Scottish Tartan Kilt that reaches her ankles. Leni made kilts in a wide range of colors for everyone.

Aylene, Tenten, Eddy, Shannon, Mikari, Luna, and Luan are getting ready for the show and loudly closed their door.

Lori, dressed in a cleaning outfit, yelled from the bathroom, "Guys, keep it down. Leni will hear."

"We don't want her to hear us," Carol added from the bathroom, also dressed in a cleaning outfit.

"Sorry," Eddy said quietly.

They all nod and begin tiptoeing down the hallway when Luan's joke teeth fall out. Luna trips over it, yelps, lands with a thud, and drops her instruments, making a loud crashing sound.

Leni, who had heard the commotion, asked, "What was that?"

"Nothing!" insisted J.D.

"Nothing!" Lincoln declared. "I didn't hear Luna drop her cymbals!" He recognized what he said. "Uh, I mean..." He then noticed Leni heading for the door. "DAFFODIL! DAFFODIL!"

Aylene, Tenten, Eddy, Shannon, Mikari, Luan, and Luna hide their props and stand casually as Leni walks by with Lincoln behind her.

"Guys, you've gotta-" Lincoln began. He slips on Luna's drum, falls down the stairs and lands dazed, with Walt hovering around his head like a cartoon bird. "Daffodil..."

Edd, Gabrielle, Naruto, Ino, Linka, Haiku, Lucy and Lana stop their work under the genjutsu and help Lincoln.

"Are you okay, Lincoln?" Laney asked.

"Boy, that was a nasty fall," commented Ino. "Let me look you over."

She examined him using her Medical Chakra.

Concerned, Naruto added, "I hope you didn't get a concussion, Lincoln."

"Lincoln, you need to get your act together," Lisa advised.

"Yeah," Lucy agreed. "We'll never get this done if we have to keep starting over."

J.D., Varie, Ed, and Leni come down the stairs, followed by Lori and Carol.

"Are you all right, Lincoln?" J.D. asked.

"Yeah," agreed Leni. "Are you okay, Lincoln? If you wanna jump down the stairs, I have just the thing: parachute pants! I know we're not having a party, but shouldn't we at least do a little decorating for Mom's birthday?"

"To repeat, keeping it low-key," Lisa said.

"He's alright, everyone," Ino assured them. "He's just a little dazed, but he'll be okay."

"Thank you, Ino," Lincoln said, "and then he gets an idea. "But you know what we could use? A great card! Maybe one with a camel, in a space suit. Uh, that's also scratch-and-sniff. And that also says "Happy birthday from all of us"."

Leni grinned. "Adorbs! But where would I find one?"

"The Hazeltucky Party Outlet!" shouted Lincoln.

"Hmm," Leni answered. "That's, like, three bus rides away. But it's for Mom, and she's totes worth it."

Ed then gets an idea. "Boing! And I'll come with you!"

Leni said, "You will?"

"Yes, I will," Ed answered, then whispered to them, "I'll make sure nothing bad happens to Leni."

Leni smiled widely. "Oh, thank you, Ed, my dumpling! I knew I could count on you." She kissed his cheek. "Bye!" She dragged Ed and they leave.

Lana locks her brother into a playful noogie. "Nice thinking, big brother!"

"Way to go, buddy," J.D. exclaimed.

"Yeah!" answered Laney. "There's no way she'll ever find a card like that."

"Can someone help me with the streamers?" Lucy pleaded.

When Leni returns, everyone gasps. Lori grabs Lucy and throws her across the room.

"Ah!" screamed Lucy, then crashed.

"I forgot my shoes!" announced Leni. She glances down and notices that she is wearing them. "Oh, wait. No I didn't. 'Kay, bye!" She leaves once more.

Everyone sighs with relief.

"Okay, we lost some valuable time," Lori admitted, "but we can still do this." "Everyone back to work!"

J.D. salutes her. "Yes, Ma'am!"

Lori comments on his kilt. "That's a great kilt, J.D."

"Thanks Lori," J.D. replied. "Leni made it."

Edd, Gabrielle, Naruto, Ino, Linka, Haiku, Lucy, and Lana resume decorating when Naruto releases the Genjutsu and Lana encounters a problem.

"How are we doing, everyone?" Laney inquired.

"Not so good Lanes," Lana admitted. "I'm out of balloons."

"Well, can you find a way to get some more?" Laney asked.

Lana thought about it for a sec. "Hmm... Ooh, I know! My emergency stash of ABC gum!"

She retrieves some gum from beneath the banister, chews a piece, and blows a nasty bubble to serve as a balloon.

Laney shudders. "Uh.. Okay. We can work with this."

"That's a little unsanitary, Lana," Edd observed. "But we can work with that temporarily."

Lucy runs out of streamers and makes do with some of Lana's emergency toilet paper from her pocket. Lana turns and goes away.

In the kitchen, Riley looks over at Lynn, who is making a sandwich, and pours a jar of jalapenos on top.

"Isn't it a little too spicy for your mom, Lynn?" Riley questioned.

"Nah," Lynn replied. "I know the mom-ster. She can handle anything. She takes a bite, her face turns red, she feels steam coming out of her eyes, she screams, and she thuds. She then stated, "It's still not hot enough." She tops it with additional Tabasco sauce.

"Here, Lynn. Put this on it." J.D. handed Lynn a bottle of hot sauce.

Lynn reads the label. "Chernobyl Nightmare Carolina Reaper Death Sauce, Caution, X-Tremely Hot " Now we're talking! Thanks J.D."

J.D. responded, "You're welcome.

The entire bottle is poured over it.

Riley takes a peek at Lola's Cake. "Lola, what kind of cake is that?"

Lola takes a bite of her cake and has a severe sugar rush, causing her to run around and scream uncontrollably.

Varie widened her at what she was seeing. "Whoa! Now that is a Sugar Rush!"

"No kidding," agreed Sakura.

Lola went back to normal and said, "Mm...still not sweet enough." She then poured a sack of sugar onto the cake.

Meanwhile, Ed and Leni are riding the bus to the Hazeltucky Party Outlet.

"Thanks again for coming with me, sweetie," Leni mentioned.

"No problem," Ed responded.

"I'm glad we can get a card for Mom's birthday," Leni said. "She's the best mom in the word and I wish we could throw her the best party ever. But for some reason everyone keeps saying we need to go low key. I just don't get it."

Ed feels so bad for Leni. All she wants to do is throw her mom a great party. Ed decided to tell her the truth.

Ed takes a deep breath and says, "Listen, Leni, I have a confession to make. We ARE planning Mrs. Loud a surprise party. We were just trying to make sure you didn't find out."

"Why?" gasped Leni.

"We were worried you'd spoil the surprise," Ed confessed.

Leni looked down.

"But, hey, I've noticed something," Ed added. "Leni, you may spoil surprises but you also know how to throw a good party, you think about what other people like and take the time to come up with new ways to make it better."

"Aww, Ed!" says Leni, blushing.

"You know what?" Ed said. "Forget about going low-key! When we go home, we're going to throw Mrs. Loud the best surprise party she's ever had."

Leni's face lit up. "Oh, thank you, Ed! You're the best boyfriend in the whole world! I love you!"

"I love you too, Leni," Ed added.

They kiss in front of everyone on the bus.

"AAAWWWWW!" was heard throughout the bus.

When the doorbell rings, they have finished their plans and are waiting for the guests.

"The guests have arrived," Lisa announced.

"Oh!" answered Laney. "Good! At the very least, we all got that taken care of." Lisa opens the door.

Flip walks in, eating a bag of chips and smacking his fingers like a slob. "How do!

J.D. walks over to him. "Flip!? What are you doing here?"

"Yeah," Laney agreed.

He had Officer Paul with him. "He's on a prisoner work release program. Officer Stacy and I are tasked with keeping an eye on him around the clock, and if he does anything cheap or similar to what he was doing before, he'll be sent back to the Clink."

"Oh well," J.D. concluded. "That's different."

"As long as he doesn't cause any trouble," Laney added.

"Yep," Flip responded. "Flip has a policy of never showing up empty-handed, so here!" He hands Lisa his gift and she couldn't lift it up because it was too heavy.

"Gadzooks!" shrieked Lisa. "What is in this!?"

J.D. lifted it up, and it was heavy. "Geez! This present weighs a ton!" He shakes it and hears coins jingling and metallic clanking. "It sounds like loose change, and something else is in here."

"Flip found all that while he was working," Officer Stacy explained, "and we decided to give it to Rita Loud for her birthday."

"Oh," J.D. remarked. "Cool. Thanks, Flip. Thanks, officers."

"You're welcome," Officer Paul replied.

"You're welcome," Flip responded, belching. "Eh, where's the grub?"

Mr. Grouse walks in. "Eh, someone turn on the boob tube." He sits down next to Lana and turns on the TV. "Ooh, color. Fancy."

Dr. Feinstein walks into the house.

"Dr. Feinstein!" Lisa said. "Greetings."

Dr. Feinstein tips his hat to her and gives her a toothbrush.

"Hello, Doctor," J.D. greeted. "I've been keeping my teeth clean. See?" He smiles, and his teeth sparkle like diamonds.

"Good job, J.D.," Dr. Feinstein said. He hands him a toothbrush. "Keep it up. I'll see you in four months."

"Will do, Doc," J.D. responded.

"How in the world did you come up with this abysmal guest list?" Lucy wondered.

"According to my algorithm, the people Mother encounters the most are her employer, our cantankerous neighbor, and the owner of our local convenience store," Lisa explained.

J.D. informed Lisa, "Flip's is gone."

"Oh yeah," Lisa exclaimed. "I forgot about that."

"That happens to me too," Laney admitted.

"Just because she encounters them doesn't mean she likes them," Lucy explained.

"Well, just because she uses toilet paper doesn't mean she'll find it a suitable party decoration," Lisa retorted.

"Ugh, I told you we should've just stuck with my brown balloons," Lana lamented.

"Yeah, because everyone wants their party to look like Cliff's litter box," Lynn remarked sarcastically.

Laney appears to be about to lose it.

"Are you feeling okay, Laney?" Lincoln inquired.

Laney answered with a forced smile, "Lincoln, I'm fine. Maybe... Luan's having better luck.. finding good jokes?"

Luan slides down the banister. "Hey, guys, I got some great jokes for the party." She cleared her throat. "Boy, Mom is so old, her social security number is 1! I would have invited guests for Mom's first birthday party, but they're all extinct!"

J.D. laughed at Luan's joke.

"Those aren't the jokes I had in mind," Laney explained.

"I don't think Mom wants to hear jokes about how old she is," Lori pointed out.

"Yeah," Eddy agreed. "You're right, Lori."

"Boss man's got a point, dude," Luna added. "Why don't we just stick to my jams for the entertainment?" She strums her guitar wildly and wails at the top of her lungs.

Lola unplugs the guitar. "Um, Mom is going to hate that! It'll make her ears bleed!"

"Right after her teeth fall out from eating your cake!" Luna retorted.

Flip takes a bite of Lynn's sandwich off the buffet table, but the extreme heat burns his mouth, causing him to run about screaming like a little girl and Officers Paul and Stacy to laugh hysterically as he desperately looks for water.

"Lynn, what did you put in that sub?" Lincoln asked. "You're going to burn off Mom's taste buds!"

"Let me try some," J.D. suggested.

He tries a piece of Lynn's sandwich, and a massive Thermonuclear Explosion occurs in the background.

"Now that's good spice. Great job, Lynn."

"Thank you, J.D.," Lynn replied. "Don't criticize my job when you can barely do yours!" she remarked to Lincoln.

They all start arguing.

"ENOUGH!" screams Laney. All eyes were on her.

"Whoa!" cried Luna. "What's your deal, Lanes?"

"I'll tell you my deal!" Laney yelled. "The food's appalling, the entertainment is bad, the guests are awful! Sorry officers and doctor."

"Hey, I resent that!" remarked Flip and burps.

"And this does not look like a birthday party for mom!" Laney protested. She took off her glasses and tie. "I had one job with Riley and Lily to make sure mom had the best surprise party of her life. And we blew it!" Laney began to cry.

Varie comforted Laney.

"Yeah," Lori agreed. "This party literally stinks."

"You're right," Lincoln replied.

"Look at this mess," Lola exclaimed.

Everyone else agreed as well.

"I don't get it," Luan admitted. "Where did we go wrong?" We've never thrown a bad party before."

"Are we missing something?" Luna wondered.

Mr. Grouse was changing the channels. "Yeah! A decent sports package!"

"By the way, how was your Christmas, Mr. Grouse?" J.D. asked.

"It was good, J.D., thank you for asking," Mr. Grouse responded. "My family was happy to see me."

"I'm so glad," J.D. replied.

Lincoln gasped in realization. "It's Leni! She may spoil all the surprises, but she's the only one who knows how to throw a good party."

"Leni?" J.D. asked. "But doesn't she spoil the surprise?"

"Lincoln is right," Lynn pointed out. "Leni actually thinks about what people like."

"Yeah," Varie agreed.

"We need to call her and get her here right now," Lori says before dialing Leni's number.

Ed and Leni are looking through the cards at the Hazeltucky Party Outlet and open one. At the same time, her phone rings, causing her to think about something.

Leni was oblivious to her phone ringing. "Ooh! A musical card!"

"Cool!" remarked Ed.

She closes it and opens it again on another ringing cue. "Mm. I don't think Mom would be into that." She put it back. "I like it, though. I should make it my ringtone."

"You do that, my cinnamon roll," Ed commented.

Back at the house

"She's not answering!" Lori shouted.

"We have to go get her!" Lincoln declared.

"I'll stay here with everyone else," J.D. suggested.

"Me and Laney will stay here as well," Varie added.

The kids are going to get Leni.

It's late and the kids return without Leni.

"I guess we really blew it," Lincoln admitted. "We couldn't find Leni, and now we can't give Mom a decent-"

As he steps in and turns out the light, someone familiar greets him.

"SURPRISE!" shouted Leni and Ed.

Leni has a present, there are decorations all over the place, cheesy brass music is playing in the background, and Aunt Ruth, Albert, Pam, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, Maria, Bill and Jill, Mom and Dad, and with two other women, are all there. Flip, Mr. Grouse, and Dr. Feinstein were still there, as were officers Paul and Stacy.

J.D. and Varie are talking with Albert, while Laney is talking with Aunt Ruth.

"Oh," uttered Leni. "It's you guys. Hurry up and hide. Mom will be home any minute."

"Leni, what's going on?" Lori asked.

"Yeah," Riley agreed.

"Don't be mad," Leni said guiltily. "I know you wanted to go low-key, but I found all this great stuff at the store, and I decided maybe we should go high-key. Doesn't Mom totally deserve it?"

"And I was the one who convinced her to do it," Ed added, just as guilty. "Sorry, guys."

Leni puts the present down and holds up the card Lincoln requested. "Plus, I found the card you wanted me to get. It is totes cute. And it's a scratch and sniff, too!" She scratches the camel.

Lola takes the card, sniffs it and gags. "Ugh! Camel!"

"Give me that!" yelled Lana and then took it, smelled it, and felt intoxicated. "Ah, camel..."

At that moment, they hear their dad outside.

"I guess I'll put in the key and open the front door now!" Lynn Sr. acted.

"Mom's here!" gasped Leni.

Everyone gets into a hiding spot and the parents come in and the guests burst out.

"SURPRISE!" yelled J.D., the kids and the guests.

Rita gasped with joy. "Oh my goodness!"

"Happy birthday, Mom!" Leni wished.

"Happy birthday, Ms. Rita," J.D. replied.

"Oh, kids, you've really outdone yourselves," Rita remarked. "Look at these decorations. You remembered violet is my favorite color." She smells something. "And do I smell pad thai?"

"Yep," answered Leni. "And for dessert, German chocolate cake."

"Thank you so much, kids," Rita said. "This is the perfect party."

"Actually, you should thank Leni," Lincoln added. "We tried to do this without her, but it was a disaster."

"Don't worry, guys," Leni assured them. "I know about that. Ed told me."

"I'm sorry," Ed murmured, feeling guilty.

Lincoln rubbed the back of his head."Uh...yeah. We're sorry, Leni. We were afraid you'd spoil the surprise. We didn't realize you're the only one of us thoughtful enough to make a party really special."

"In fact, how would you like to be our official party planner from now on?" Lori asked.

"But I thought Laney, Riley, Lily, and Crysta were the party planners," Leni pointed out.

"Not anymore," Laney explained. "I thought we could handle the pressure of planning the perfect party"

"But we don't even know what Ms. Rita likes," Riley pointed out.

Lily hands Leni her clipboard. "Here Leni. You deserve this more than us."

Leni claps excitedly. "Yay! Thanks, you guys." She said to her dad, "You hear that, Dad? I'm planning your surprise party next! But don't worry. I'll send you an invitation."

Everyone else in the room facepalmed from Leni's big spoiler.

THE END.
