Week 6
J.D., Naruto, Alan, and the rest of the team were sitting in their cabin, reading books and playing card games.
"So, Zoey, what happened to make you afraid of quicksand?" J.D. asked. "You never told us the last time."
"I'm sorry, guys," Zoey apologized. "When I was 10 years old, I was walking through the forest in Saskatchewan, looking for rare butterflies."
Flashback to a younger Zoey playing in the grass and chasing after butterflies.
Zoey started narrating. "It was a happy time for me. Until I noticed a rare Blue Sapphire butterfly on a flower in the middle of a sandbar. I walked on it to go see, and I suddenly began sinking. I realized I was in quicksand. I yelled for help and was up to my neck in sand when someone appeared and grabbed my hand, rescuing me. I was traumatized because of it and I cried hard into my savior. Since that day, I've been afraid of quicksand."
End flashback.
"Zoey, that's awful," J.D. said.
"I'm very sorry, Zoey," Mike apologized.
"It's all right, guys," Zoey assured them.
"You were really lucky to have been saved back then, Zoey," Dawn added.
Zoey replied, "I know."
"My friends and I have saved a few people from quicksand," J.D. explained.
"That's what we all heard, J.D.," Courtney responded.
"I know," J.D. acknowledged. "Since I got my powers, every day has been a tremendously awesome adventure, with an amazing challenge and new obstacles to be met and overcome."
Shawn remarked, "Dude, I can believe it."
Naruto added, "It's always been like that for me too."
"That's incredible, guys," Mike exclaimed.
"Attention, campers," Chris began. "For today's challenge, meet me in the theater."
"It's time to get to work," J.D. announced.
"Let's make some heads roll!" Izzy shouted.
At the theater, Chris explained the challenge to them.
"Today's challenge is a talent show," Chris explained.
J.D. remarked, "A talent show. Right on."
"I know," Chris acknowledged. "The show will now start in three hours, giving you plenty of time to decide what you want to do and practice. The judges will be me, Chef, and two members of the original cast. Please welcome back Noah and Heather!"
Noah arrived, and he was not pleased.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Noah," J.D. said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, J.D.," Noah replied, "I've heard so many great things about you."
"We get that a lot wherever we go," J.D. remarked.
"I believe it," Noah said. "Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze. It's such an honor."
"Same here, Noah," Naruto replied, "and it's a pleasure to meet you."
They noticed Heather was wearing a wig from Total Drama Action's Caveman episode.
"That's a pretty stupid wig," J.D. commented.
"You've got no sense of taste, lifewrecker," Heather snapped.
"It's called Karma, Heather," J.D. replied. "Get used to it."
"I will make you pay for my humiliation!" Heather screamed.
"Bring it on, ugly!" J.D. shouted back.
"Okay, enough!" Chris yelled.
They go to practice, and J.D. decides to do a singing act.
"Let's see," J.D. said. "I think I'll do a sea shantie. And I know just the one. What are you going to do, bro?"
"I'm going to perform a ninja technique magic show," Naruto explained.
"Interesting," J.D. replied. "I can't wait to see it."
"I did this show once, and I was trying to stand on my head and I lost my lunch because of it," Bridgette confessed.
"Yuck!" J.D. cried.
The talent show began 3 hours later.
"All right," Chris began, "first up, J.D. Knudson."
J.D. walked onto the stage, holding a banjo. "I'm going to sing a sea shantie. It's called Sailing Over The Dogger Bank."
"Cool!" Chris yelled, "I love sea shanties!"
"This is going to be weird, but I discovered another unique power," J.D. said.
He sprouted eight octopus tentacles from his butt, and they had an accordion and two violins on each of his six arms.
Chris shouted, "That is Awesome!"
He said, "All right, here we go," and began playing his banjo.
Sailin' over the Dogger Bank: Oh, wasn't it a treat?
Wind a-blowing east-nor'-east, we had to give a sheet!
You ought to see us runnin' the wind a-blowin' free,
On a passage from the Dogger Bank to gray Grimsby.
Watch out, twigger, she's a proper ju-be-ju.
Give 'er a sheet and let her rip we're the boys to pull her through!
You ought to see us runnin', the wind a-blowin' free,
On a passage from the Dogger Bank to gray Grimsby!
Our captain he's a Shanghai roush, he loves a pint of good ale.
Our mate he is a road stone-inspector, been seen in many's a jail.
Our third mate he's a bush ranger, he comes from the African Isle.
And take a look at our old cook it gets the bugger wild!
Watch out, twigger, she's a proper ju-be-ju.
Give 'er a sheet and let her rip we're the boys to pull her through!
You ought to see us runnin', the wind a-blowin' free,
On a passage from the Dogger Bank to gray Grimsby!
Watch out, twigger, as down the street she came.
High heels and painted toes, Jenny is on the game.
Jenny is one of your flash girls, can't she cut a shine?
She can do the double shuffle on the Knickerbocker line!
Watch out, twigger, she's a proper ju-be-ju.
Give 'er a sheet and let her rip we're the boys to pull her through!
You ought to see us runnin', the wind a-blowin' free,
On a passage from the Dogger Bank to gray Grimsby!
We are the boys to make a noise when we come home from sea.
We get right drunk, we roll on the floor, we have a jubilee- Eee!
We get right drunk and full of beer, we roll all over the floor,
And when our rent it is all spent we go to sea for more.
Watch out, twigger, she's a proper ju-be-ju.
Give 'er a sheet and let her rip we're the boys to pull her through!
You ought to see us runnin', the wind a-blowin' free,
On a passage from the Dogger Bank to gray Grimsby!
As the song played, jellyfish made entirely of water appeared, surging with electricity and swam around the stage. One electrocuted Heather and really stung her. When the song ended, everyone cheered. Chris, Chef, and Noah were in tears and cheering wildly.
"J.D., that was so awesome!" Chris sniffled.
Chef sobbed, "That was so beautiful!"
"J.D., you have a lot of talent!" Noah insisted.
"Way to go, big bro!" Naruto cheered.
"Let's look at the scores," Chris suggested.
The score was off the scale and J.D. got a beyond perfect score. Heather gave him a 0.5, but one of the jellyfish stung her again, so she changed it to 11.
Chris yelled, "The Atomic Owls win again!"
They are all cheering.
"However, I'd like to see the rest of the acts simply for fun," Chris added. "That was a great song choice, J.D. My cousin in Newfoundland loves sea shanties."
J.D. said, "Thanks Chris."
Chris responded, "You're welcome. Up next, Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze."
Naruto walked onto the stage. "I'm going to put on a Ninja Technique show. I have a spectacular show for you all."
"Okay," Chris responded, "go for it."
"Here we go," Naruto announced.
Naruto formed an energy ball and lifted it into the sky, and color streams appeared around it, orbiting the energy ball in an atomic formation. The streams were made of earth, fire, water, lightning, wind, light, and darkness. They became elemental creatures. The fire stream transformed into a phoenix, the water stream into a mermaid, the earth stream into a Mongolian Death Worm, the lightning stream into a dragon, the wind stream into a fairy, the darkness stream into a wolf, and the light stream into an angel.
Gwen yelled, "Whoa!"
Izzy said, "Amazing!"
Dawn exclaimed, "Incredible!"
Courtney said, "Unbelievable!"
Mike said, "This is amazing!"
Shawn exclaimed, "No kidding!
Naruto then created dragons out of wood, lava, storm clouds, steam, scorching heat, ice, black fire, metal, crystals, dust, magnetic energy, explosions, and sand, which orbited around the main core of the atomic form.
J.D. said, "Incredible!"
Alan gasped, "Wow!"
The level of power coming off the technique was incredible.
"Get ready for a spectacular firework show," Naruto added.
Naruto sent the technique into the sky, where it exploded into a spectacular fireworks display with the words "Chris is One Awesome And Amazing Guy."
When it was finished, they all clapped loudly.
"That was so beautiful and AWESOME!" Chris yelled.
"I'm glad you liked it, Chris," Naruto responded.
Like J.D., Naruto received a perfect score.
After the contest was complete, they held another Campfire Ceremony.
"Today's talent show was the most awesome I've ever seen guys," Chris added. "It was even better than the first season."
"Let's hope the next challenge is as exciting as the next and last two," J.D. commented.
"I'm sure it will," Chris predicted. "Now for the marshmallows."
Except for Sugar, everyone got a marshmallow. Sugar was hurled.
As they got ready for bed in their cabin, J.D. stamped an X on Sugar's face.
"7 down, 2 to go, and it's Lightning and Cameron," J.D. remarked.
"Yep," Naruto agreed. "I have a feeling Chris will set up a terrifying challenge for the key moment."
"I have a feeling too," J.D. replied.
He pulled out his laptop and called Lincoln.
"You guys were awesome in that talent show!," Lincoln said.
Dawn said, "Thanks Lincoln."
"We're down to two campers, and we win automatically," J.D. explained.
