Tony left Jeanette's house the next day and drove to Peggy and Daniel's house. Both of them were very welcoming and Peggy seemed very excited since she quickly took his daughter in her arms and led them both to show their rooms. Tony had always had room for himself in their house even if he didn't spend a lot of time there. Peggy and Daniel insisted on keeping it that way. And now Peggy and Daniel had also cleared one of the spare rooms for his daughter.

Tony gawked at the room. It was the same pasty white most walls of the house were but it was filled with toys, books, and a mini bed.

"You didn't have to, Aunty Peggy."

"On the contrary, I had to. What kind of grandmother would I be otherwise?"

Tony smiled.

A few hours later, his daughter had loudly proclaimed to all the three residents that she loved the room. It just made Peggy and Daniel grin.

As he lay in the bed of his room, staring at the ceiling, his biggest worry was Howard finding out. He knew that Howard and Peggy were already not on the best terms due to something work-related. And after the last outburst, he was pretty sure things will only worsen if Howard found out where he was staying.

With a grunt, he got up and walked to the computer. The email to MIT still needed to be sent.

Not that he didn't trust Peggy and Daniel, he trusted them a lot. But his baby was still very young and in the last week, her entire world had changed. He just wanted to be there to anchor her. Her and him, both.

The next morning, while he was having breakfast and Daniel was feeding his daughter, Peggy sat next to him on the table.

"Tony, there's something I need to ask you."

"Sure..."

She spared a quick glance at both his daughter and Daniel, both grinning widely, and her food smeared half over her and her surrounding and Daniel while she had actually eaten the other half.

"Tony, what exactly killed her mother and her husband?"

He stopped eating, staring at her, "What?"

she sighed, "Kids have a wild imagination. You, Harry, Clarice, made up the craziest things out of nowhere." she leaned forward a little, "last night, she came into our room. She was looking for you but we managed to get her asleep with us. She called you Uncle Tony. Which I kind of get it. But then she started talking about nightmares about a bad man, green lights, her mum falling down, and not waking up. And something about 'Pafoo' and 'Moo-ie'."

She took a deep breath, "Maria told me that you told her that her mother and her husband died in a gas explosion. The story doesn't fit right. She should be having nightmares of fire and smoke if it was a gas explosion."

Tony mentally winced. Of course, Peggy would be the one to find the discrepancies.

When he didn't say anything for a few minutes, Peggy continued.

"Tony, I have known you since you were kicking in your mother's womb. I'm your godmother. And despite it all, despite how little time we have spent together lately, you never mentioned your daughter. Howard, I can understand. He is a drama queen and he has let all that fame, money, and a desperation to leave a legacy behind get to his bloody head. But why didn't you tell me? You leave for Bristol out of the blue and come back with her. How old is she, anyway?"

"15 months."

"For 23 months you never mentioned that you were going to become a father." she reached and covered his hand with hers, "Love, I just want to look out for you and my granddaughter." she pressed her lips, "You didn't say anything when Harry brought Sharon around. You didn't say anything at all."

Tony took a deep breath, "I'm not really sure how much I can actually tell you."

Peggy sighed, "what exactly have gotten yourself into, Anthony?"

"Nothing illegal, I promise you that! It's just..." he exhaled, "Her parents were part of a...secret society. None of it was illegal." well he hoped there wasn't any illegal shit Lily might have failed to mention. "But...bottom line, they made enemies."

Peggy studied him for a solid moment, "Her parents were murdered."

Tony nodded, "They were. Somehow she survived."

"Was it a cult?"

Well, in loose terms, the Magical Society could very well be a cult.

"No. Not really."

Peggy sighed.

"Aunty Pegs, I promise you I will tell you everything as soon as I can. I do promise. But for now, you have to trust me."

Peggy sighed, "I trust you, Tony."

"Have you contacted a pediatrician for her?"

Tony looked up at Daniel.

"Uh...I was planning to but didn't get the exact time to look for one."

"Oh." he sat down near him, setting his walking stick to the wall, "Maybe I can help."

"I'd appreciate that very much, Uncle Dan."

Daniel smiled, "She's a lovely girl."

Tony smiled.

With a grunt he stood up, "I'll start then."

"Thank you."

"It's alright, son."

Tony loved Peggy and Daniel. Despite the differences the couple had with his parents, they always treated him like their own son. Harry and Clarice, who were Peggy's nephew and niece, received the same treatment.

Despite being the super awesome couple they were, the universe hadn't written children in their fate. Ever since they had gotten married, they had tried numerous times. But after 3 miscarriages all due to various reasons and a stillborn later they had stopped trying to keep themself from any more pain. They had all but adopted Harry, Clarice, and himself and were awesome parents.

This was one of the biggest reasons Tony agreed to stay with Peggy and Daniel. He knew they'd be better parental figures towards his daughter, better than anyone including himself.

And it was coming true. Daniel and Peggy adored her. She was always in one of their arms if she wasn't eating or napping, or trying to walk around.

Tony had even thought of naming those two as her primary guardian in his absence since he had no doubt that they'd take great care of her.

Tony was over the moon when Jarvis and Anna came to visit them. Apparently, Peggy had called them.

As soon as Anna saw his daughter, she started fussing all over her along with Daniel and Peggy. Tony was smiling at the whole scene when he noticed Jarvis standing at the corner of the room, so he made his way there.

"You have a wonderful daughter, Master Tony."

"Still with the formality, Jarvis?" Tony teased him, giving him a look over. Jarvis was retired now. Tony and Maria had a hard time convincing Howard to let Jarvis retire after he had crossed his 80s. Jarvis was adamant that he could still work but Tony had put his foot down. He needed rest.

Whenever he had gotten time, Tony would visit Jarvis and Anna, both of them loved having him.

"I take it Mr. Stark was throwing another of his tantrums."

Tony took a deep breath, "when has he not when things don't go his way."

Jarvis hummed, "You did the right thing." he exhaled, "I had not expected Mr. Stark to spiral down so...quickly and viciously."

"Yeah, well, he's been spending the last 40 some years trying to look for Atlantis and now he's too far gone to call it back. Rogers is gone. Dad doesn't understand it. He's spiraling. It is not that hard for that to happen."

Jarvis cleared his throat, "Well, sir, in case you ever feel the need for little ol' me, I hope you will contact me. To look after yourself and young Miss."

Tony smiled at him and reached to give him a hug, "I would trust no one else but you."

"Very good."

"Mrs. Stark..."

Tony looked up when he heard Jarvis say that and frowned at the sight of his mother.

"Hello, Edwin. How are you? How's Anna?"

"Anna and I perfectly fine, mam."

"Please. Maria is just fine. Do you know where Tony is?"

Tony was frowning when his mother saw him.

"Can we talk, Tony?"

"I'll excuse you both." and Jarvis left. Tony mentally scoffed. That traitor.

"Tony..." she sat down near him, "I should have spoken up. I...I'm sorry."

"Are you really?"

"I am." she shifted forward, "I don't care how she came to the world. If her parents were married or not. I don't care. I do care that she's my granddaughter. My only grandchild." she raised her chin, "Howard has controlled me a lot. But this is not something I will let him control. If he doesn't want a relationship with her, fine. But I do. I want to be a part of her life."

Tony took a deep breath and looked at his mother.

"Okay." he responded after a while, "I'll let you as long as it is supervised."

Maria nodded, a smile on her face.

Tony was never the optimistic type. But he had hoped that this once, things would go his way.

And then they didn't.

With only three more days left of his vacation, MIT emailed him back saying that they cannot accommodate such a request since the 'family situation' was never explained.

He groaned and ran a hand through his hair.

Suddenly he felt a push on his leg.

"Papa!"

His eyes widened as he looked at his daughter.

"Ti awo!"

Tony blinked. He looked at his mother who was beaming. He then looked back at his daughter

"It's ti amo, love."

She tilted her head, her lower lip jutting out. She then turned and looked at Maria as if the woman had just lied to her.

"It is ti amo." Maria said with a smile

Then she frowned.

"It's alright. We all make mistakes when we learn something new." he scooped her up, settling her on his lap, "It's amazing that you are trying."

She grinned and looked at Maria, "How say tank you?"

"First it is, how to say thank you. Second, in Italian, we say, grazie."

She blinked and looked at Tony, "gasee!"

"Sei la benvenuta, cara." Tony replied

Her eyes widened, "You spea' 'talia?"

Tony laughed, "Of course I do, baby girl. She's my mom, you know. She taught me first."

The time when he had to return to MIT came sooner than he liked or realized.

Peggy, Daniel, Maria, Anna, and Jarvis were quick to assure him that they'd take perfect care of his daughter in his absence. Not that Tony didn't trust them. But...

But the only time he had left her like this was with Lily and James. This was a whole other situation.

Rhodey and Jeanette talked to him and finally, his worry lessened.

When the day came for Tony to leave, his daughter threw quite a tantrum, crying and saying that she wanted to go with him. Peggy somehow managed to convince her that he'd be back soon. Christmas was less than 7 weeks away and he had a whole week of holiday to return.

It hurt him to leave his baby in such a crying fit, but fate was against it.

"I'll be back before you even know it." he whispered, kissing her forehead, "Be a good girl for me, okay?"

"'tay," she mumbled, sniffing and wiping her tears.

"Don't forget us. We'll call every day." Rhodey added, crouching next to Tony

"'tay,"

"Good girl." Rhodey grinned

Well, if someone was to ask one Anthony Stark and one James Rhodes what were the perks of being roommates, amongst a list of things, they'd definitely say that their secrets remained between them.

Every day after classes, both the boys would spend 40 minutes to an hour and a half talking to her.

And by the way, she'd squeal and laugh, they knew she'd be expecting their calls every day.

She'd tell them everything that happened, her childish gibberish and Italian thrown in the blend.

Tony had also spoken to his mom, Peggy, and Daniel and by the looks of it, Howard still had no idea about their whereabouts. Tony didn't believe it. There was no way Howard did not know that his daughter was staying with Peggy and Daniel and that his mother was visiting her granddaughter almost every single day.

Tony figured that Howard just didn't care.

Both of them were quite impressed by quickly she was picking up Italian. Rhodey joked that she might be able to speak Italian more fluently before English. Tony didn't mind that.

It went to the point that after three weeks, she was able to hold an almost whole conversation that her 16-month brain could process, in almost complete and accurate Italian. In fact, according to Daniel, she was speaking Italian throughout the house and would only speak in English once Maria would leave.

Peggy told him that she still had nightmares sometimes and would wake up asking for him, but would eventually sleep peacefully with Peggy and Daniel, cuddling the latter mostly.

Tony just couldn't wait to go back home to his baby girl. Rhodey had a mutual thought.

He went back home just two days before Christmas.

His baby girl greeted him with a loud squeal and a tight hug, one he eagerly returned.

"I missed you!"

"I missed you too, love."

She then proceeded to talk super rapidly about everything that happened.

And he keenly listened to her.

she stopped suddenly when his stomach grumbled. She looked pointedly at his stomach with a cute glare and then at him, "You need food."

"Yes, mam." he chuckled

Maria was there, he wasn't surprised. As she served his daughter her food, and him his food, she sat down with her own plate.

"Where are Anna and Jarvis?"

"Jarvis got a little sick lately. So they decided to not visit so as to not get her sick too." Maria answered

"What? Is he gonna be okay?"

Maria smiled, "He's strong. He'll pull through."

"I sure hope so," he muttered

Maria smiled, as she ate the food.

"so...are you and dad going somewhere this Christmas? Like every single Christmas?"

"Your father's flying us to the Bahamas for a little getaway."

"Ah, Bahamas. Must be nice." he nodded, "No pit stops, this time?"

"Your father mentioned one."

"At the Pentagon. Right? Don't worry, you're gonna love the holiday menu at the commissary."

Maria scoffed.

"What com-sary?"

Both the adults turned to the toddler, who was looking at them in question.

"A military base," Tony answered

"What'z that?"

"Uh...you know, where the army units live."

She blinked, confusion written clearly on her face.

"I'll explain it later, I promise."

"Otay,"

Tony chuckled and looked at Maria, "So Pentagon. Nice."

Maria fixed him a look, "He does miss you when you are not there. And frankly, you're going to miss us."

"Lemme rephrase it for you. I'm going to miss you. We are going to miss you. He misses me because there is no one for him to bully anymore. But you are definitely going to miss us."

She chuckled, "I'm going to miss her more."

"I can live with that."

Tony, despite his 'go with the flow' attitude, regretted certain things in life. And one of the things he regretted the most was the lack of any relationship Howard had with his granddaughter.

Despite the fact that he himself flipped off his father, he wished that Howard had a relationship with her. He didn't expect Howard to be a doting grandfather like Daniel was. No man can replace Daniel in her life. The way that man did pretty much everything, from taking her to the park, her doctor's appointments, vaccinations, reading her stories, and letting her cuddle him, Daniel was as rare as they came. He knew Howard would never even let her hug him. But he wished that at least he had taken a little time out of his busy schedules to acknowledge her existence and maybe accept her as a Stark.

He was so glad when Maria decided that she won't let Howard ruin her relationship with her granddaughter. He was so glad when she stepped up. He never doubted Peggy and Daniel that they'd be great grandparents to his daughter but he really wished his parents were there too.

And he totally regretted not being able to show what an awesome person his little girl was to his father. He created her! No matter what the world said no matter when, his daughter would be his most priceless creation and all he ever wanted was his father was to acknowledge that, recognize that. But Howard never did.

He gulped when Peggy's hold on his shoulder tightened.

"I'm sorry, love."

Tony just nodded. His eyes roamed over his mother's body, covered in a white sheet, her face caked with dry blood. He didn't bother looking at Howard. He was pissed. All Howard had to do was not drink for one day. One goddamn day.

But did he? No!

"We'll start the paperwork."

Tony didn't know who spoke and he didn't care.

He closed his eyes, as the tears fell down. Maria had looked forward to the trip. Because of Howard, they hadn't even made it to the airport. He wanted to shout at Howard, yell at him. For killing his mother. For taking away his daughter's grandma.

"Tony, go home." Peggy said, "I'll handle everything."

Tony didn't budge.

"Tony..." Peggy gripped his upper arm and turned him towards her, "Tones, go home. Go back to Marguerite. I'll handle everything here."

Tony felt so numb when he got back home.

"Papa!"

He gave her a weak smile and settled her on his hip, "Hey, baby."

She blinked, confused, and reached for his cheeks. "You otay?"

He nodded, sniffing, "Y-Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay."

She frowned, "Your crying."

He chuckled, "Just a little tired, love."

"You...need...sleep."

"Maybe I do."

If someone had told Tony Stark 5 years ago, that at this precise moment in life, he'd be resting his head on his daughter's lap while she patted him in comfort after he had just become an orphan, he'd have fucking laughed at them.

But here he was, doing the exact thing.

He sniffed. Better break the news now than ever.

He turned to face her.

"Hey, baby girl."

"Ya..."

He gulped, "do you know where your mum is?"

Her brows furrowed, "Mum?"

"Yeah..."

She shook her head, "Aunty Tunia say mum and dad bad. Leave me...they..." her brows furrowed more, "hate me."

Oh, Tony was going to kill Petunia.

"Listen, love." he got up, "Your mum and dad, loved you. More than anything. They loved you the most. You Aunt Petunia, she lied to you. Don't ever think that they hated you. They loved you the most. just like I love you the most. Do you understand?"

She slowly nodded.

"Your mum and dad...baby, they didn't leave you because they hate you. They left you to protect you because they love you so much. I love you so much." he took a deep breath.

He cupped her chubby face, "Your mum and dad are with the angels now, okay? Watching over you. Making sure you are safe."

"Angels?"

"Yeah...And grandma went to them too."

Her eyes widened, "G'amma?"

Tony nodded and smiled softly, "She's with your mum, dad, and the angels."

She looked confused for a moment for two before she looked at him, "She happy?"

Tony smiled, "I'm sure she's happy. Just like your mum and dad are too."

"Good, then." she beamed at him

His smile widened and he pressed his forehead to hers, "I love you, baby. And I'll never leave you."

Peggy handled most, if not all, that was required after his parent's death. All of that had pretty much placed a dampen on their Christmas had that little girl not been so excited.

She was young and didn't understand what death was exactly. What dying meant.

And seeing her excitement and happiness regarding the holiday, the whole family decided to celebrate Christmas as simple as possible.

Tony was the major driving force behind it all. He wanted to mourn his mother but somewhere his hatred for his father was greater. And more than that hatred was his love for his daughter.

Daniel arranged for a Christmas Tree to be set up. Jeanette and Rhodey came a day earlier as Peggy insisted they stay during their time of Christmas. Jeanette's work hadn't really given her enough days off to visit family. Rhodey just decided to stick with his sister, best friend, and goddaughter. Jarvis had told him that he had gotten better and he and Anna would be coming there to celebrate.

All in all, it was one of the liveliest Christmas Tony had seen. All his loved ones at one place. All except his mother.

"Papa!"

Before he could delve into the mourning, his little bullet latched onto his legs.

"Javish Ana here!"

He smiled, picking her up.

"Let's welcome them, then."

"Yes!"

Christmas eve was bustling with chatter, jokes, and laughter amongst the group.

To Tony's embarrassment, his four elders hardly spared any detail of his childhood. The glint Rhodey had was enough proof that Tony would be soon subjected to long teasings.

Peggy and Daniel had also been quite proud about telling his daughter's achievements to everyone who wasn't there.

"Harry will be coming tomorrow with Amanda and Sharon," Peggy told them

"Clarice isn't coming?" Tony asked

"Something got her holding down." Peggy looked at him, "I haven't mentioned to him about Marguerite. But you might want to think of a better way than just dumping this information on them."

"They will keep this secret, right?"

"Anthony, you want to keep her a secret?" Anna asked

Tony took a deep breath, "The people who murdered her mother and her husband...they are looking for her. By any chance, if they figured out that Lily or James associated with me, they could find her. I don't want them to find her."

The table was silent for a solid moment before Jarvis spoke up, "As you wish, Master Tony."

"Thank you, Jarvis." he smiled

"Gasee, Javish!" his little girl exclaimed, causing them all to laugh.

Christmas morning brought snow, presents, and three additional guests.

"Let me get this straight. You have a daughter." Harry said

"Glad you understood such a simple statement," Tony responded, making him scoff.

"She's so big," Amanda muttered, looking at her and Sharon; the latter assessing the former.

"Almost 17 months, actually."

"Congrats, man." Harry lightly slugged his arm, making Tony wince and rub the spot.

"Thanks. Look, uhm...I know neither of you wants to be associated with SHEILD and all those kinds of things. But...believe me when I say there's a reason I want her to be secret. No one, right now, outside the people present here knows that she exists. I'd like to keep it that way."

"Something tells me I'll regret asking, so I won't," Harry said

"Well as long as the girls get time to spend with each other," Amanda added

"What?"

"Tony, keeping her a secret means you cannot be seen publicly with her. Which also makes me speculate that she won't be attending a public school."

"she's his daughter. If she inherited the right things, she'd be way too smarter for public school." Harry quipped, making him snort.

Amanda rolled her eyes but continued, "All of that means less than adequate amount of contact with kids her own age group. You don't her to be antisocial. At least let her have a friend in Sharon. She's older and it won't be the same as public school experience but something is better than nothing."

Tony studied the blonde woman in front of him before he looked at Harry.

"You should be thanking every deity you ever laid your eyes on that you got such an amazing and intelligent wife." then he turned to Amanda, "I still think you deserve better. Like I've been telling you for the past five years."

"Can't bail out now." Amanda snorted

"Stop trying to break my marriage," Harry complained

"Just telling the truth."

"Mom!"

The three adults looked down as Sharon walked up to them, his daughter trailing right behind.

"Can we go play in the snow?"

"Pwease!"

The three adults shared a look before Amanda crouched down to Sharon's level. The four-year-old girl, looked hopefully at her mother, clutching the younger's hand in hers.

"Will you be careful with her?"

The blonde girl nodded, showing her mother their intertwined hands.

"Don't go out of the house, okay? Stay in the yard."

"Okay." Sharon grinned and looked at the younger girl, "Let's go."

"Well, looks like they both got a new best friend," Harry noted

"That's good, right?" Tony asked

Amanda smiled, standing up, "Yeah, that's good."

Tony chewed his lips for a solid second before, "I should probably ask Rhodey to keep an eye on them."

And he left.

Amanda chuckled while Harry rolled his eyes, "He's going to be very protective of her."

"As if you aren't of Sharon."

Harry hummed, "Tony's gonna be worse. Take my word for it."

They opened the presents in the evening. The overall atmosphere of the place was warm, happy, jovial, and...something Tony couldn't describe. but all of it felt nice.

There were laughter, backhanded compliments, chastises, and even scolding but none of that dampened the mood they all had.

Following the presents was dinner. Following that, Peggy and Marguerite proudly presented the Sussex Pond pudding as dessert, which garnered the duo with tons of compliments.

His little girl was grinning the entire time. So much so, he got worried that her cheeks might start hurting.

But in the end, it was the best Christmas Tony had ever had.

While all was warm and comforting inside, the same could not be said about outside.

Outside, in the heavy snow and wind, stood a lone figure glancing inside at the warmth and laughter.

Loki had no specific expectations of what he'd see when he got to know that his goddaughter was orphaned. He most certainly had not expected that news right after he returned from a quest with Thor, Lady Sif, and Warriors Three to Vanaheim. He was tired, injured and Thor forced him into Eir's care saying he knew better. that made Loki snort.

But Eir had adamantly kept him in her care until he was more than halfway healed. The moment he was allowed to walk out of the healing hut, he made his way to Heimdall, the worse scenarios running through his mind.

Heimdall kindly provided him with his goddaughter's whereabouts and Loki didn't waste a single moment to visit Midgard to make sure she was alright.

The scene he walked into, for some reason, felt like a punch to the gut. The reason, he wasn't aware of.

To see her so happy and comfortable and safe, made him sigh in relief. She was safe.

But to see an unknown man taking care of her, situation her in his lap, protecting her even if there was nothing there to protect her from as if his actions were a natural reflex...

It should have been him. He was her godfather. She was his responsibility.

He could very well walk in and take her, give her a life much better than what the man could provide her with but...

His biggest obstacle would be Odin. If Allfather found out her existence...No, he could not take that risk. She was happy and safe here. Bringing her with him would subject her to Odin's scrutiny and distaste and she'd be far from safe and happy there.

Well, he could keep an eye on her for a while, make sure she's genuinely protected.

Yes, he could do that.

No one would mind his absence for one night.

At least for now, she was important to him.

He walked around the house, invisible to the mortal eye, as everyone prepared for bed.

A little girl with golden hair was playing with his goddaughter, keeping her company.

"Come on, girls. Time for bed." a blonde woman, he speculated to be the girl's mother approached them

"Five more minutes, please." the older girl requested

"No. It's past 11. If you want to go out tomorrow with me and Dad, you need to go to bed."

The blonde girl stood up with a pout, his goddaughter following her lead.

"Can she come with us too?" she asked, holding the younger one's hand, "Please."

The older woman sighed, "We'll have to ask Uncle Tony. But right now, you both need to get some sleep." she reached and scooped his daughter into her arms, placing her on her hip, while she held her own daughter's hand.

"Come on. I'll read you both a nice bedtime story."

Loki followed them discreetly.

The woman placed both the girls on a bed, tucked them in, turned off all the lights except for a lamp at the bedside. Following that, she pulled out a storybook and a chair and settled next to the bed.

He stayed there until both the girls fell asleep.

The woman smiled and stood up to put the book back.

"You need to teach me how you get them asleep so quick."

Loki looked at the doorway and it was the man who had his goddaughter with them almost the entire time she wasn't running and playing.

"The trick is doing the voices when you read the story." the woman smiled, sliding the book back.

The man smiled, "Thank you."

"Okay, listen. She called me Aunt Amanda. That is not a role I take lightly. And by far, she's the only niece I have. So, no need to thank me."

"Still. It means a lot."

"Happy to help." she smiled, check-in in on the two girls one more time.

"Hey, Sharon asked if Maggie can come with us tomorrow to go see around New York."

The man hesitated with his reply.

"Tony, I understand. I can imagine what you are going through right now. With her, especially. And with your parent's death, it's gonna need more than just a few weeks. I get it, the need to keep her safe. But you can't keep her locked down. She needs to go out, see places, meet people, experience things. You don't have to tell everyone about her. But she needs those experiences."

The man, Tony, took a deep breath, "Obie is coming tomorrow with some of dad's things and company stuff."

"Oh." the woman's face dropped, "I see." she tsked, "well, we are in New York for two more weeks. If an-"

"She doesn't really like spicy food and she makes a mess with food."

Amanda blinked, looking confused, "What?"

"I thought you should know that if you are going to take her with you."

"You sure about this?"

"Yeah." but he sounded hesitant and unsure, "Just because I can't go doesn't mean she has to hold it too. You guys have fun tomorrow."

Amanda smiled, "thanks. And don't worry. She'll be safe."

Tony nodded, "I trust you both." he reached and rubbed the back of his neck, "thank you."

"You are welcome." she smiled and walked to him, "Let the girls sleep."

Tony nodded and walked out, Amanda following and closing the door behind her.

Loki looked at the two girls, his eyes focussing on his goddaughter. He crouched and looked at her innocent face, sleeping peacefully, unaware of everything the destiny has planned for her.

He reached and ducked some of her midnight black hair behind her ear.

He could stay on Earth for another day, he supposed.

Update after a long time. I'm aware.

Okay, this is my first time writing a prologue so do let me know how the pacing is.

Late Merry Christmas to everyone and Advance Happy New Year. May you all have an amazing 2022 ahead.
