Juvia was happily humming to herself as she walked through the hallway of Fairy Hills going to her room. She just came back from a dinner with Gray and the smile on her face could not deny the happiness she's feeling inside. She never knew she could feel such happiness. Never in her wildest dream did she ever think that one day she'll find that kind of love she only heard of before.

Their relationship may be new but she's sure of the feelings she have for the man whom at first she thought would never be a very important part of her life. The days she spent with him were the best days of her life that she could remember. He made her feel like the world revolves around her and things are made to make her happy.

In his own ways he showed her the bright side of the world that she thought won't be visible to her.

Gray might not be the best guy out there – he's not perfect and full of flaws – but in Juvia's eyes he's everything that she needs to be happy. There's something in his eyes when he looked at her that made her believe that at last God finally decided to make things right in her life.

She's used to being just Juvia. A young woman who needed to live her life in a way other people expected her to live it. But with Gray she could be free as she wanted to be. She's allowed to explore and enjoy life. It felt like he gave her wings and freedom.

There's not a single second with him that she's not happy. Even away from him he can make her feel giddy. Just the mere thought of his handsome face could elicit a silly smile on her face. What more when she thinks of the things he does to her. All his kisses and wicked advances brought burning need inside her. He completely turned me into an impish woman, she thought to herself with a silly smile.

Juvia chuckled at her thoughts before digging out her keys from her purse. She's about to insert it into the keyhole when a gentle hand stopped her. Her smile instantly disappeared when she saw Levy standing by her side.

"Levy-chan.."

It's a shock for her to see Levy and even more so that she approached her. It's been a while since the last time they talked. The petite bluenatte made it a point to show her that she's not that happy like their other friends to know that she's now in a relationship with Gray and Juvia actually understand but she don't know how to explain to her why she let herself completely fall in love with a man she should not be with in the first place.

"Hi," Levy smiled awkwardly.

"A-uhm," Juvia cleared her throat and tried to sound casual. "Do you… need anything?"

The short blue haired girl took a deep breath before opening her mouth then closing it again. Her gaze fixed on the floor finding it very interesting to look at before she mumbled lowly like a child who can't talk straight. "I'm—rry."

The words sounded more like a growl and try as she might Juvia didn't get what had been said. "What?" she frowned. "Levy-chan, you need to speak more clearly if you want me to understand what you're saying. Is everything okay?" she added with worry in her eyes. They barely talk the past few days but they are still friends and if Levy's in trouble she won't hesitate to help her. Levy after all is her best friends' girlfriend.

Levy took in a deep breath. "I'm sorry!" she blurted out much clearer than before and when she opened her mouth again words poured out of her in one breath. "I know I'd been such a judgemental and a bad friend to you lately and I hope you understand that I'm just worried about you and Gray and that I don't want you two to get hurt in the end but I now understand that it's not—"

"Levy-chan," Juvia put up her hands in front of Levy to stop her word barrage. "It's really okay. I understand where you are coming from," she smiled. "I'm actually glad that you care that much about your friends. Gajeel-kun is really lucky to have you."

Levy's soft brown eyes beamed with joy when she looked up at her. "I'm even luckier to have him," she said with a smile. "But don't tell him that!" she blurted out with a sudden pout. "He won't let me hear the end of it."

Juvia giggled and patted the shorter bluenettes head. "Don't worry, it's our secret."

With a deep breath Levy abruptly hugged Juvia to her surprise. "Really, Juvi-chan, I'm sorry. I didn't see it before that like everyone else; you just want to be happy. That I should be the one to know and understand because Gajeel and I had been where you are right now and worse."

"It's really okay," she assured her with a smile.

"I'm happy for you and Gray. The past few days had been the happiest I'd seen him since I met him. You really bring the best out of him."

Juvia smiled happily. She's glad to hear from someone else that she's making Gray as happy as he made her feel. And she's also thankful that Levy now can see the better side of her decision to be with Gray. "Don't worry Levy-chan, I'll make sure to make him happy. I'll do my best to make things work. I'll fix what I need to fix."

"Good luck, Juvi-chan," Levy squeezed her hands and she could see in her eyes that she truly understands. "Gajeel told me that you already talked to your lawyer and that he's also helping you get off the grid."

"Thank you. I just pray that things will turn out good."

"Don't worry, Gajeel and I made it so why won't you? Of all people you should be the one to get all this shit straight," Levy reassured her. "I have to go now. I still got things to finish back in my room."

Juvia gave Levy a smile before waving her goodnight.

She let out a relieved breath when she saw her back disappeared. At least now she won't worry about Levy telling Gray things she can't tell him yet.

A sad smile formed on her lips. She hate it that she's keeping things from Gray but she still need to put things in order before she can tell Gray everything.

Before she could let him in her life completely.

Gray slumped down the bench with sweat dripping all over him. He just finished playing basketball –if anyone can call what they played basketball at all – with his friends and he's tired as fuck. He should have known better that when Natsu called to invite him for an all boys fun time it means getting his body all bruised if not broken and bloody. Damn that pink haired hooligan. Their game was supposed to be basketball not a freaking wrestling! He's pretty sure when the morrow comes he'll have at least four or more dark bruises all over his body.

Fuck! He's exhausted. He wanted nothing more at that time but to go home take a shower and dive into his bed or much better go home take a shower and then go out and see his girlfriend. That will surely turn his day a whole lot better.

He rummaged through his gym bag beside him and checked the time on his phone. It's already six in the evening. Not that late but not really an ideal time to ask his girlfriend to go out on a date. It's Sunday and he knew she's probably busy checking things for another week of school.

But they can just hang out outside her dorm for a couple of hours. He could just buy some take out and arrange a picnic under the stars. Gray just really wanted to see Juvia. He missed her already. They were not able to see each other the day before because she got some all girl saturdate or whatever her girl friends call it.

Damn. He should have just spent his day with Juvia instead of his niggling friends.

So much for the need to give time for friendship. It gave him nothing in return but body ache!

A balled towel hit his face as he was about to dial Juvia's number and Gray glared at the one who threw it. He saw a blonde man walking towards him with an annoying grin. "The fuck is your problem Loke?" he snarled.

He's itching to wipe his grin off of his face because it tells him he's up for a seriously annoying talk with his so called friend for the next couple of minutes. Whatever the blonde has in his head it won't be good for him. Loke had been away for months doing who knows what in God knows where. He surely got something up his sleeve.

"Chill, dude" his blonde friend snickered. "I'm just getting your attention and handing you a towel at the same time." He sat down beside him and carelessly put his arm over Gray's shoulder. "I heard you got yourself a girlfriend," he started. "Mind telling me about this girl who made you do such silly things Elfman told me about?"

"You came back from wherever part of the world you came from and what you wanna talk is my girlfriend," Gray looked at Loke with suspicion in his eyes. He knew his friend. Among their male group of friends Loke is the most notorious when it comes to toying with girls and relationships. "I'm telling you now, I'm serious with her and she's not just some passing fancy. If you have anything stupid in your head forget about it."

Loke's laughers echoed inside the basketball court and some of their nearby friends looked at them but turn back again to whatever they were doing. "Come on, Gray. I'm not that horrible. What the hell are you thinking that I'm going to do? Snatch your chick from under your nose? I do have some sense of decorum in me. She's your girl, I just wanna know her because you're my friend."

"Knowing you," he grumbled. "No one knows what gets in your head."

"Seriously dude. I just wanna her. You and your new girl is all what those idiots are talking about," Loke said pointing at their friends. "I just want to hear it from your mouth. I was surprise when they told me about it because who wouldn't be? When was the last time you were in a relationship? Or have you ever been in one before?" he added frowning.

Gray made a face. His friend made it sound like he's some sort of prude or something. "Her name is Juvia. Juvia Lockser."

"And?" Loke said expectantly.

"What do you wanna know that the others haven't told you yet?"

Loke gave him an are-you-fucking-kidding-me look before letting out a huff. "You said you're serious about this girl and all you can tell me is her name? Come on dude. I need details. Is she pretty? Sexy? Banga—"

"Don't even finish that word, Loke, if you don't want me to shove my fist inside your mouth," Gray cut him off. He let out a sigh before scrolling through the gallery of his phone. He found a picture of Juvia that he thought was fine enough to show to his friend. It's just her smiling shyly with her eyeglasses on but still as beautiful as ever. "Here," he handed it to Loke. "That's her. She's kind and smart and feisty at times. She's quite a talker when she's in the mood and she's fun to be with."

Loke looked at Juvia's picture for a while with a frown. There's something about her that seemed to be eerily familiar. Like he had seen her before somewhere that he can't remember where. "She kinda looked familiar. Is she someone from around town?"

"She's a transfer student. She's been here for more than a year so maybe you'd seen her around during one of your visits," Gray replied getting back his device and putting it back inside his bag. Loke always go around different places and who knew if he had seen Juvia somewhere.

That's not it. Loke would know if she saw that Juvia Lockser in town. He knew almost everyone in town. "Well, I didn't know you're into nerd type of girls but she's pretty. How long have you been together? Natsu said you went nuts over her that you barged into Fairy Hills."

Gray's face contorted. "I did nothing like that. I just climbed by the window and accidentally ended up inside her room. It was Natsu's fault for being so stupid. I almost broke my neck."

"And the flirting?"

"What!?"

"Laxus said y—"

"I don't wanna hear it." Gray just snorted and grabbed a bottle of water. There's nothing good that will ever come out of Loke's mouth. "So how long are you planning to stay in town? Where are you going next?"

"Not really sure. Maybe a week or so."

The dark haired man just nodded his head as a response to what his friend said not even bothering to look at him again. He's not really interested to where Loke is going next.

Gray was no longer paying attention to the man beside him that he missed the look Loke gave him.

Hi everyone. Been gone too long and I hope you guys are still waiting for this story. I hope to finish it this year if not in a few months. I'm really sorry that I neglected writing for quite a while. I'd been admitted twice in the hospital and had to have a surgery to remove one of my ovaries and I'm still recovering. I won't promise a fast update but I'll do my best to write more chapters.

I'm still a bit high from medicines and always groggy so kindly forgive me for any errors and I'll try to make longer updates! ^_^
