Four days since the SHIELD Incident

"Here ya go," Bruce handed a pack of frozen peas to Steve, who sat on the kitchen island.

"Thanks," he took it and pressed it to his nose and cheek. He winced in pain but just pressed harder.

Bruce walked around for him.

"May I?" he asked and Steve slightly nodded, lowering the pack.

Bruce slightly held his face to check the damage done.

"How bad is it?" Sam asked

"Can't exactly tell without an x-ray. But...I'm kinda 100% percent sure he might have cracked your cheekbone or something. Your nose is definitely broken."

"Yeah." Steve pulled and pressed the pack again to his face.

"Want me to get some painkillers? Or one of the doctors?"

"I'll heal. I bounced back from worse."

Sam exhaled and leaned on the table, "You sure?"

"Yupp!" he winced, shifting the pack, "Besides, I had it coming"

"You did, huh?" Bruce sat down on the other seat available.

"Uh-huh." he nodded slightly, "Rose warned me way before that Tony would love to punch me the moment he'd see me."

"Surprised he didn't do that at the hospital."

Steve shrugged.

"Lunch? I'll order some in," Bruce asked

"Sounds good."

"Continental?"

"regular American, please."

"Sam?"

"Sounds good."

"Got it."

"Thank you, Brittany." Rose smiled at the blonde, who delivered the lunch they had ordered inside her office, "You could have told me and I'd have come outside. You didn't have to deliver it to my desk, love."

"It's no problem, mam." the blonde smiled back

"Hey, why don't you join us?" Tony asked, shifting his chair a little

Brittany blinked, a little taken aback by such a blunt offer. She had had meals with Rose on some occasions but never with Tony. He kinda did intimidate her, despite being quite welcoming and accepting. Besides, he was her boss's father. And her Boss. There were some lines she was very hesitant to cross even if Tony Stark invited her.

"It's alright, sir." she smiled, a little uncomfortable, looking at Tony, who looked at her expecting an answer, "I...uh...um...had...uh..."

"she has a lunch date with her boyfriend," Rose quickly added and looked at Brittany, "Right?"

Brittany blinked once but quickly recovered, "Uh..yes. Yes!."

"And Dave's coming to pick her soon. That's why I gave her half-day off."

Brittany blinked again. She had none of that planned. But then she saw the look on Rose's face. Rose wanted her to take the half-day off. And go on a lunch date with Dave.

"Yeah. That's right." Brittany slowly nodded.

"Oh alright." Tony nodded, "Have a nice day, Brittany."

"You too, sir. Mam." she smiled and walked off. Once she was out, Rose focused her magic on her a while and stopped when Brittany did call Dave to meet up for lunch.

"How the hell do you get all your work done if you keep giving your PA half days off?" Tony chuckled, opening their food order.

Rose shrugged, "I might not have done that if you hadn't made her uncomfortable. Besides, she's having a tough time in the office, managing almost everything in my absence. She needs some time off. Bloody deserves it, that girl."

"She's too much like Pepper when she was starting out. It's kinda scary."

"Those two bonded over something about being Stark PA's or something." she shrugged, "back to the topic," she paused putting some ketchup on a side plate and looked at Tony, "Was it necessary?"

Tony blinked, "He fucking had it coming."

"One, sure. But two?"

"I wanted to beat him to a pulp."

"Dad,"

"But you had to pull me away."

"He got beaten into a pulp. He doesn't need another round o' that."

Tony looked at her with a poker face, "No. But that motherfucker deserved it."

Rose snorted. "How's your hand?"

"I was wearing a prehensile suit gauntlet. Not even an itch."

Rose chuckled, "Doesn't hurt to check."

They ate in silence for a while before the door to her office opened and Pepper came in. She looked pissed.

"You were not supposed to step foot in here for another three weeks," she looked at Rose sharply

"Well, I needed a place to cool dad down. And though I could check up on stuff going here. Two birds, one stone. Relax, I'm not working." Rose replied

Pepper just crossed her arms and frowned.

"Pepper, my love, do you seriously think I'd come to the office to work in these?" she raised her leg to show her the cotton shorts that she was wearing with a loose top that was a tad bit bigger for her, mindful of her arm in a sling. This was actually her sleepwear. She hadn't even bothered changing that morning.

"You didn't shower today?" she asked, coming to sit next to Tony, who passed her a packed container.

"Too much happened. Shower didn't seem like a priority."

Pepper looked between the father-daughter, "What happened?"

Tony took a deep breath, "I punched Rogers."

"Oh,"

"Twice." Rose piped in

"Tony!"

"What? He had it coming!"

"He just got out of the hospital. He came back this morning!"

"I wasn't going to send him back to the hospital." Tony defended.

"You were pissed. You would have had I not stepped in. But I'm not complaining." Rose said and looked at Pepper, "In his defense, I did warn Steve way before that Dad'll punch him. He said he'll take the risk. It's on him as much as it is on Dad."

Pepper took a deep breath and then started eating.

"Did you just up from your bed like that?"

Rose nodded, "Pulled on my slip-ons and came down here with Dad. I'm going to bed like this, once everything cools out and we go back upstairs."

Pepper nodded, chewing her food, "Speaking of going back, the board wants a meeting. To address everything that happened. Apart from your radio silence absence for a couple of days, SHEILD was one of SI's biggest buyers. We lost one of our biggest buyers. With them gone, we are not gonna have the same turnover rates as before."

"We were discussing that, actually," Tony said

"And what have you two come up with?"

Tony and Rose shared a look.

"We need to discuss this with the team once."

"The team? What are you two planning?"

"We aren't exactly sure. It's...small. But could be effective." Rose slowly responded and then looked at Pepper, "When's the meet?"

"Not yet decided. They do want a meeting though. Next week?"

Rose took a deep breath, thinking for a second, "Should be good enough."

And then her phone vibrated. She pulled her phone out and passed it into her plastered arm and opened it. It was a message from Brittany.

She chuckled and shot a quick reply.

"What's going on?" Tony asked

"Well, looks like Brit's getting married pretty soon."

"What?" Tony asked

Rose slid her phone to Tony, who picked it and read the message. She turned to Pepper.

"That was Dave."

"Her boyfriend?"

Rose nodded, "He asked if it was alright if he proposed her in the office. I gave him a go-ahead."

"Wait." Tony paused and looked at her, "Her boyfriend works here?"

Pepper and Rose exchanged a look and then looked at Tony.

"Yeah." Pepper smiled, "He works in Exports."

"How long have they been together?"

"A bit over two years," Rose replied, "He's a good guy. Met him a couple of times."

"why'd he message from Brittany's number?"

"Because he doesn't have mine. Brit does." she nodded to herself a little, taking another bite, "which means I'll need a new PA for some time when my lovely blonde would go on a break."

"Talk to HR?" Pepper asked

"Maybe. Not so sure. I'll get someone." she shrugged

"Now," Pepper began, "this plan of yours..."

"We need to talk to others," Tony repeated

"And I'm not stopping you. But first and foremost, you both are running it through me. Guys, come on."

Tony and Rose shared a look.

"Alright." Tony nodded

"Miss, the trial has begun." JARVIS piped in

"Later," Rose said as the TV turned on for the news channel.

"Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" the Bailiff asked

"I do," Nat responded

"Why haven't we yet heard from Captain Rogers?" The Committee General asked

"Because he's here, getting punched by his girlfriend's father,"

The three looked at Clint as he entered. Steve frowned.

"Rose is not my girlfriend," he responded

"Yet." he pulled a juice bottle from the fridge and jumped on the couch and got comfortable, "mostly because you are not growing balls to ask her out. Which for the moment, I think you shouldn't."

"Clint, shut up!" Bruce said before they looked back at the TV

"Well, he could explain how this country's expected to maintain its national security now that he and you have laid waste to our intelligence apparatus." The Committee General asked

"HYDRA was selling you lies, not intelligence," Nat replied

"Many of which you seem to have had a personal hand in telling."

"Agent, you should know that there are some on this committee who feel, given your service record, both for this country and against it, that you belong in a penitentiary, not mouthing off on Capitol Hill." A General she didn't recognize said

Nat took a deep breath, "You're not gonna put me in a prison. You're not gonna put any of us in a prison. You know why?"

"Do enlighten us." The general retorted

"Because you need us. Yes, the world is a vulnerable place, and yes, we helped make it that way. But we're also the ones best qualified to defend it. So if you want to arrest me, arrest me. You'll know where to find me."

With that, she got up and walked out.

"I thought your cousin was supposed to coach her," Sam looked at Bruce

"Uh...She's Black Widow. I'm not sure what Jen could have done to stop her acting out." Bruce replied, "At least she didn't tell them to fuck off."

"She just told them to fuck off!" Rose exclaimed, as the telecast inside the Capitol ended and now a reporter was going on about stuff none of them were interested in.

"It's Nat," Tony muttered

"Still!" Pepper added

"I feel kinda bad for Jen," Rose muttered. She had seen a glimpse of the brunette and after Nat had said that, Jen had looked so done.

"Still on for hiring her?" Tony asked

"Oh yeah." Rose nodded, "Her records great. And she has a history with dealing with government and superheroes, so why not?"

"There's been a new application today," Pepper piped in

"Oh yeah? who?" Tony asked

"Hill,"

"Maria?" Rose asked

Pepper nodded, wiping her mouth with a tissue, "for a secretary post."

"All SHIELD personnel are supposed to get into legal trouble. Smart move." Tony noted, finishing his meal

"did she get hired?" Rose asked

"Her interview's still going on, I guess. I asked HR to notify me if any SHIELD person came through,"

Rose nodded, opening a new box of food.

"Now before anything else comes up, your plan. Run it through me,"

Evening

"That was a nice performance you pulled there," Steve noted as Nat walked in. It was almost early night, around 9 PM,

"Walters isn't too happy," she noted, entering the kitchen.

"Figures," Bruce piped in

"Does every person enter the kitchen first here?" Sam asked Clint

"Since it is the closest to the elevator, yup. Rose is a big foodie. Pretty sure she designed communal to be that way or something,"

"Don't blame me," she said, taking out a glass and a bottle of alcohol, pouring herself a drink, "Not entirely. They were getting on my nerves."

"It's government. They are supposed to be unreasonable."

Nat shrugged, finishing her drink in a single gulp, and poured herself another.

"What happened to your face?" she asked Steve, who absentmindedly reached for his cheek.

Clint chuckled loudly, "Funny you should ask."

Steve glared at the archer before looking at the former spy, "Tony happened."

Nat studied him for a solid moment, taking in the bruising around his cheek and nose, "Tony punched you."

"Twice," Clint added with a small grin

"Stop having fun out of this," Steve looked at Clint

"Stop being an asshole to your prospective girlfriend and her father. None of that is gonna earn you brownie points."

"That much damage from Tony's punch?" Nat leaned towards Bruce who had joined her for a drink at the kitchen island.

"He had his suit gauntlet on," Bruce replied, as she poured him a drink and diluted it with coke.

"I see," she noted then looked back at the bickering boys and Sam who still looked quite outta place.

"How's the place treating you, Wilson?" she asked

Sam looked a bit startled at being suddenly addressed but quickly recovered and answered, "It's good. Welcoming."

"I wasn't sure we seemed welcoming," Nat responded

"so, I wanted to ask, do you really want to join the team? You know..." Bruce asked

Sam took a deep breath, "I haven't really thought that through. But you guys seem easy to work with. From what all I have seen, I'm saying."

"There's still a lot you haven't seen about us." Nat chuckled

"He's already seen Rose in her crazy phase, Rose and Steve argue and fight, Tony being an overprotective father, him being a righteous asshole," he pointed his thumb towards Steve, "Bruce being the cinnamon roll. Rose's words, not mine. And you being a spooky drama queen. Not sure what else there is for him to see."

"Uh...Rose's Zombie mode," Nat suggested

"Rose and Steve's married couple mode," Bruce added with a chuckle

"It is not what it sounds like," Steve quickly added

"Tony and Steve's married couple mode," Nat added with a laugh

"Again, not what it sounds," Steve added

"There's so much you are yet to see." Bruce smiled

"So, keep your mind open for all the possible possibilities." Nat added, "Speaking of them, where are the two Megaminds?"

"Rose dragged him after he punched Steve. The two are yet to come back." Bruce replied

"Anyone called them?" Nat asked, trying to pour another drink for Bruce, who refused. "check-up on them?"

No response

"Guys? Really? We all know better than to do that." Nat tilted her head

"I thought she'd call when she'd be ready," Clint replied

Nat just raised a brow.

"Why? Does something happen?" Sam asked

They all exchanged looks.

"I'll call 'em," Clint jumped off the couch, pulling his phone out

"Tony and Rose can be...um..." Bruce began

"Kinda self-destructive," Nat added, "Nothing to major, but nothing too minor either."

"When they pull a missing stunt, we usually keep a check on them." Steve added, "This team's a family. We look out for each other."

"They're fine." Clint said, entering and hopping on the couch, "They just went to her office for the day. They are on their way back."

"Even after everything that happened?" Sam looked at Steve

Steve took a breath, pressing his lips for a solid moment. He exhaled, only to meet the expecting gazes of three Avengers. He then looked at Sam, "Especially after everything that happened."

Their little heart-to-heart moment was interrupted by right flashes of thunder, startling Sam.

"What was that?"

"Thor," The four replied

A few seconds later, Thor walked in, twirling Mjolnir.

"Banner! Natasha! Captain! Barton! How are you all faring?"

With him, came a vibe of cheerfulness and fun.

"We are good, Goldilocks. What about you?" Clint replied

"All's well! 'Tis getting harder to keep all Nine Realms guarded and in order, but I and my warriors are managing."

"That's good." Bruce nodded

"Let us know if you need our help" Steve smiled

Thor nodded at him, only to frown a while later, "Are you alright, Captain?"

"Yeah..."

"And the bruises on your face?"

"It's nothing. No big deal."

But Thor kept his questioning look.

"Souveniers from a mission. That's it."

Thor nodded, taking that explanation. Clint chuckled and got jabbed in the gut by Steve.

"So, what are you doing back? I thought you weren't supposed to be back for another two months," Nat asked, handing him a glass of Firewhiskey.

As of late, firewhiskey had started entering the Avengers household. And it was only for superhumans and above. Something Rose was very strict about. Despite that, Bruce never touched it and Nat only drank minimal quantities. Clint had tried once only to pass out for a bit over 15 hours and decided to never drink that again. Tony knew better than to drink it when he had his own to exploit.

"Aye," he nodded, sitting on the armchair, as he put the Mjolnir on the floor, "I received a message from Rose about needing my help for a mission."

Everyone exchanged a look, half wondering how she managed to send a message halfway across the galaxy.

"Thor, she sent that message well over a week ago," Steve noted

Thor nodded, "I did receive it a week ago. Tis was not easy for me to abandon my recent quest. Once done, I came here as soon as possible."

"You didn't have to do that," Bruce replied

"Earth is under my protection, Banner. It is very much my responsibility,"

"thank you," Steve nodded with a smile, something Thor returned.

"Oh, and this is Sam Wilson. A friend of Steve's. And ours." Clint introduced

"Hi." Sam smiled, as curtly as possible.

"Greetings, Son of Wil." Thor nodded back and then he looked around, "Where are Rose and Stark?"

"On their way back," Clint responded

Sam looked around and got up, "I should get going. Drive to DC is a long one."

"You sure you don't wanna stick around? We won't mind." Clint smiled

"Thank you for the offer. But I only came to make sure he got here alright and because he promised to show me around the tower." he smiled, "I should be getting back. It's dark anyway."

"In that case, thanks for dropping him off in one piece." Nat smiled, "and you are more than welcome to stop by whenever you want."

"Thank you." he smiled and started making his way to the elevator. Before he could press the button, the doors opened and Rose and Tony stood there.

"Hey," Rose greeted and then smile,

"Hey." he smiled and looked at Tony, "Mr. Stark."

"Mr. Wilson." Tony nodded back

"Where are you going?" Rose asked

"Home. I gotta drive back all the way to DC."

"So soon? Not staying for dinner?"

"Not today."

Rose looked behind him at the others gathered.

"Oh." she muttered, "You sure?"

Sam nodded with a soft smile.

"Alright. Just drop by whenever you feel like it. I'll have JARVIS add you to our guest list." she smiled

"Of course. Thank you."

"It's no problem." she smiled as they got out and Sam entered the elevator which quickly closed.

Rose made her way to the kitchen while Tony went to sit on the couch, opposite the end of Steve.

"Hey Point Break," Tony nodded at Thor

"Hey Thor," Rose smiled and then looked at others, "Did someone say something? He seemed in a bit of a hurry," she asked, pouring herself a little firewhiskey.

"No, we were cool," Clint answered

"And none of you guys messed with him?"

"Not like with Mia, no."

"Apparently we seemed welcoming," Nat replied

"We? As in...we?" she gestured around the room

"Yup," Nat popped at the 'p' and drank her liquor

"That's an improvement," Tony snorted

"I wasn't sure that you could find two spy-assassins, a war veteran, a Norse god, the Hulk, and two rich assholes welcoming," she shrugged, "Guess we all learn something new every day." she walked to the group and sat on the bean bag Bruce had pulled for her so that they all were sitting in a circle around the coffee table.

"What happened to your arm?" Thor asked Rose

Rose looked at him, "Broke it during the mission. It'll heal, no biggie." she shrugged, "Dinner? I'm starving."

"Ordered pizza," Bruce answered

"Thanks, love." she smiled and looked at Nat, "did you have to?"

"As I said before, they were getting on my nerves. Besides, would you rather they put us in jail?"

"Hey, never said that. You could have just put your feelings a bit more..."

"Eloquently," Tony provided with a chuckled

"That."

"Fuck off, you two." Nat pulled back and crossed her arms, "As if either of you's any better."

"Never been to a trial where I was in the box. So, for all you know, I can be better." Rose beamed

"I'm Tony Stark." Tony chuckled, "I'm better."

Nat rolled her eyes, "Seriously, fuck you both."

The two chuckled when JARVIS piped in. "Dr. Banner, your pizza delivery is here."

"Oh great. Star-ving!" Rose groaned

10 minutes later, a variety of pizza boxes laid on the center table as they all ate their dinner.

They were all eating, bickering a little back and forth, joking and laughing. All up until Steve decided it was a good time to discuss the elephant in the room.

"So...now what?" Steve asked

There was a small silence for a while, everyone engrossed in their own sudden change in thoughts.

Rose took a deep breath and shared a quick look with Tony, breaking the silence.

"In the last couple of days, Dad and I, we were thinking and...we were planning some stuff that would benefit us all." she started

"Alright," Clint straightened

Rose took a deep breath, "SHIELD was one of the biggest buyers of SI. They bought our defense tech, comm tech..uh..."

"Helicarriers," Bruce provided

"Helicarriers." Rose added, "But with them gone, so did our contracts. SI is predicted to have some major losses this current quarter." she loudly exhaled, "And there's this issue about all the people who worked at SHIELD. They are all unemployed now. Not only do they no longer have a head honcho keeping them on their leashes, but a lot of them are missing on their salaries. Some of them have families."

Her eyes fell on Clint for a quick second and she saw him gulp. She knew that Clint sent a majority of his SHIELD salary to Laura for expenses. But he was no longer employed. Which meant no more salary.

Rose had temporarily handled their financial situation, but what about others?

"And look, the reason I'm, dragging SI into this is because...SI cuts my salary. And Dad's. And that's how we pay for utilities and all those fancy stuff you guys get. Remodeling, damages,...It's just...SI is as important to me as Avengers are."

"We get it. We aren't complaining." Nat smiled, "We understand."

"Uh...thanks. I just...felt like justifying." She nodded to herself, "Anywhoo. Some of them are looking for new jobs. Hill applied at SI for a secretary post. But a lot of them, majority of them have a limited precise skill set."

"What do you have in mind?" Clint asked

"Avengers as a proper organization. Avengers Inc. Avengers Ltd. Whatever. We can decide that later." Tony answered

"Like SHIELD?" Steve asked

"Better and improved SHIELD. Pretty much the same goal as SHIELD but without all those murky waters."

"What exactly is the benefit of commencing this strategy?" Thor asked

"Firstly SI will have a new buyer. I won't have to cut corners. Second, all those people who were trained, even raised, to be spies and assassins will have their jobs back. Third, we can establish a much better global security network. and if luck's on our side, maybe beyond our globe as well." Rose replied

"And how are you planning on avoiding SHEILD's mistakes?" Steve asked

"Well, for starters, we won't be employing ex-Nazi scientists to kickstart our R&D programs," Rose replied

"Every person, current and new, has to go through a thorough background check. JARVIS and NYX will be handling that." Tony added, "And now that we have SHIELD and HYDRA files, a lot of things can be avoided."

Others exchanged a look.

"And who's gonna be the head of this new...organization?" Clint asked

"All of us," Tony responded

"This new startup will have seven equal heads. Us. Either we can all have a little pull over all departments, or we all choose one department that suits us best and focus on it and then discusses it amongst ourselves. But there's not one boss. It's the OG7." Rose added

"The second option sounds better." Nat nodded, pouring herself another drink, and refilling some other glasses as well.

"This will also give opportunities to people like Sam. Give them something to do, if they wish to." Tony added, "Come outta retirement and start working as a superhero or stuff. Or for people who might have powers and wanna help us. Or join R&D, Training, you get my point."

There was no response from others as they all were deep in their own thoughts.

Rose took a deep breath, "Look, I know this feels pressured and I don't want any of us to make a rushed decision, but the sooner we do it, the better."

At their expectant glances, she continued, "This is a team venture. Every vote on the team counts. So even if one of us opts out...it won't be the same. We function as a team. A collective. We can discuss any and every issue we come across, but we have to find the solution to the massive problem we all just made."

"What is the problem, Rose?" Thor asked

Right. He didn't know a thing.

Rose sighed, "SHIELD is gone, Thor. And now, everyone knows it. It won't be long before all the people SHIELD pissed off, all those terrorist organizations and people SHIELD kept at bay would start acting. HYDRA is still out there. The longer we wait to make this decision, the bolder they'll become."

"And this is a long process. This needs to be presented to the UN. Discussed with a variety of leaders from different nations. We need approvals and signatures and support."

"SHIELD didn't work like that," NAt noted

"This isn't gonna be SHIELD, Nat." Tony replied, "SHIELD was overlooked by World Security Council. Not sure they'd still wanna get involved with us or the new venture."

"And SHIELD got away with a lot of illegal and under-the-radar stuff. Fury ain't on board. We can't afford mistakes, here." Rose added

"What do you mean Fury isn't on board?" Clint asked

"He's dead to the world, remember? He knows. About this. We've spoken to him, discussed it with him thoroughly. And he agrees with the idea. But he isn't physically gonna be here. From this point on, it is just us. World Security is our job now."

There was a heavy silence. Everyone's gears were moving.

"Tell you guys what? Take your time. This weekend, morning at 10, we'll meet up here and finalize everything. Should this go on? Should we drop it? Anything and everything." Tony said

"You sure won't have any reservations about working together?" Nat jerked her head towards Steve

Tony took a breath, "This is not the time for an internal fight. We can only do this if we remain a united front in front of those politicians and the rest of the world. Rest assured, we'll have time to untangle things through."

Steve looked at Tony and nodded.

After dinner, they all more or less called it a night.

Steve, tired and still in a little bit of pain walked to his room. His four-day stay at the hospital was bad enough and now he got punched. He could feel his bones healing but it still hurt.

"Jesus!" he grunted and fell on the bed, face first. He was about to doze off when something caught his eye. On the pillow, next to him was a note got up, and pulled the note.

Floor 71, Lab. ASAP. Pronto.

He frowned but got up and walked to the elevator. He pressed the button only to realize it was down somewhere around 12th floor.

With a grunt, he took the stairs and started dashing down.

"Whoa!"

He skid stopped bare seconds before crashing into Nat.

"Jesus Christ!" she exclaimed, "Where's the fire, Rogers?"

"Sorry. Sorry, Nat." he was still panting hard

"What the fuck? Why aren't you sleeping?"

Steve pressed his lips but then pulled out the note from his pocket.

"you got any idea about this?"

Nat took the note and read it.

"This is Rose's handwriting."

"Yeah," Steve nodded, "I have this weird feeling."

"Alright." she handed him the note back and kept the water bottle on the nearby table, "come on. Let's see what pinky hid at Floor 71."

They quickly made it down to Floor 71 and then located the lab.

"There. Code" Nat pointed. Steve reached and punched his security code.

"Captain America. A-0-3." the AI responded and the door opened as the two entered.

Steve looked around, "What is this room?"

"Steve," Nat called from the other side. He turned and walked to her. A big green tinted cage was there. A cage he recognized as the Hulk-proof cage Bruce and Tony had built for emergency purposes. But that was not what caught his absolute attention.

Inside the cage was a man, sitting with his back turned to them. The way he was built, he could tell it was a man. As for who he was, his glistening metal arm left no room for second-guessing.

Big plans are being made. Secrets are being told.

I really struggled at this continuation part, have been editing the same chap for the last 1 week to make it as close to perfect as possible, because I wanted it to seem continued but at the same time give out a new update to the plot. I really hope my hard work paid off and the chapters are still seemingly fluid.

Let me know what you think? And stay tuned to know Steve's reaction...

Ciao.
