"Starfire, above you!" Beast Boy just got it out in time. "Rock slides" had not been an accurate enough descriptor, he thought. Maybe if Happy had said "Boulder Cannons".

Every few minutes or so, rubble of various sizes would launch itself at them. The worst part was that it wasn't even always from above. He already had been blind sided from several rocks shooting at him from eye level and even one launched from under his feet. At this moment, they were caught in a particularly nasty onslaught. Left, right, up, down, all around. Rocks were flying in from seemingly every direction. In a less serious moment, Beast Boy would have made a joke about it being the worst game of dodgeball he had ever played. From the corner of his eye, he noticed Raven falling behind.

"Raven! Why are you just dodging? Can't you use your magic to fling the rocks away or raise a barrier or something?" Beast Boy shouted.

"I can't use magic right now! Look out!" Happy leapt and pulled him back as a rather razor pointed rock flew past just inches from his ear. The final stone of the wave.

"Thanks. Are you alright?"

"I'll be fine."

"Star?" He turned his attention forward. Starfire had been taking the lead, punching and blasting all the rocks she could. Despite this, she was still the least beat up member of the group.

"I am okay."

The exit was now a little more than a football field away. Hopefully, that was the last rock slide they had to deal with.

If only.

After around only fifteen seconds, the ground began to shake again.

"Really? Another one?"

"Uh, guys." Happy took note that rocks were swiftly piling up in front of their exit, "We need to hurry!" Starfire and Beast Boy both took to the skies and Happy began running. Beast Boy swung around and picked her up. Guess she couldn't fly either. They flew straight through the smaller debris. They didn't have time for much else. Even at that moment, the boulders had nearly reached the top of the canyon. Starfire gathered energy in her hands. Looked like they would need to blast their way through.

"Stay close behind me!" She shouted. She crashed through and prayed it would be enough space for the others. The green pterodactyl clipped its wings, but otherwise made it. Unfortunately, this made sticking the landing nearly impossible. He tried his best, but Beast Boy still found himself landing on his back. He opened his eyes to see Happy's a few inches from his.

"Hey. Come here often?" She said.

"Uh…"

She smirked and got off of him. Her hood had flung off in the crash and Beast Boy noticed large dark circles under her eyes. Happy caught him staring and quickly slid her hood back up.

"It's nothing you need to concern yourself with. Please don't ask."

"Friends!" Starfire hovered towards them, "I am glad you are both ok."

"A little more warning about what we are getting into would be nice next time." Beast Boy said to Raven.

"I thought I did warn you." She replied.

"Well, that was the worst game of dodgeball I ever played." Beast Boy said. His stomach growled, "Any idea what time it is, Raven?"

"Not a clue, Why?"

"I'm thinking we may have to take a break. How close are we to the library? Are we making good time?"

"Oh, I guess so. It's still a couple days out though."

"Wait, did you just say a couple of days?"

"What can I say? I have a big head."

"And you didn't think to tell us that from the beginning?"

"I didn't think it was important."

"Ugh. Well, we would have made the trip either way, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Maybe we should just camp here then. What do you think, Star?"

"If we still have far to go, It would be best not to exhaust ourselves. Plus, It would give me a chance to try my new Earth camp snacks." She took off her back and unzipped the front pocket. She pulled out a small bag that said "Good Ruffers Meat Snacks."

"Star, I think those are dog food."

"Hm?" She popped one in her mouth and looked more closely at the packaging, "Oh. I guess they are." She seemed rather unfazed. Happy sat down across from her.

"Hey, toss me one of those bad boys." She said with a laugh. Starfire obliged. Happy spit it out a second later, "Gross."

"Perhaps it needs some condiments?" Starfire unzipped another pocket.

Oh, she didn't.

"I have Mustard, Ketchup, Relish, Mayonnaise. I also have one I recently discovered called "fry sauce". I find it quite wonderful."

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Happy responded. She was only mostly joking, "What about you, BB? What'd you bring?"

"Just energy bars and water." She gave him a pouty look. He grinned, "Just kidding. I have some cold cheese pizza too."

"Hook me up." She said, Beast Boy handed her a piece and she took a sizable bite, "Mmm. Nothing like a cold slice."

"Hey, if we're in your head, where does stuff go when you eat it?"

"Huh. Maybe you can ask when you get to the library." She shoved the rest of her food in her mouth, "I never really think about things like that."

"Careful Rae, much more talk like that, and I'll have to start saying I'm the smart one."

"I'd have to do a lot more to get down to your level." She replied.

Starfire tipped her bag of dog treats upside down to make sure she had eaten them all. She squeezed another dollop of mustard into her mouth (bleh), put her things away, and then she got up to stretch.

"If you wanted to get a few hours of sleep, I could take the first watch, Star." Beast Boy said. Starfire pulled a small capsule out of her backpack. It was about the size and shape of a hockey puck. She threw it on the ground and a single person tent popped into existence. Cyborg had just perfected the design a few days ago, lucky for them.

"If you wish. Good night friends." After a few minutes, She was out cold.

Beast Boy and Happy discussed some plans for the next day.

"You see that cave aaaall the way over there?" She pointed.

"Yeah."

"That's where you'll need to head tomorrow. Once you get out on the other side, you should be able to see the library."

"Ok. And just so we are clear, is there anything else we might want to know?"

"Not that I know of. I've never gone that far."

"Now that that's outta the way, you wanna play cards?" He pulled an unopened pack out of his bag, "I can teach you how to play a few games."

"Please. I'll teach you how to play."
