Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
The seaside never looked so beautiful as it did now. The sea was a perfect mirror reflecting the endless blue skies above. Two pretty young girls played in the surf as their grandparents watched on. Izayoi and Toga smiled happily as their youngest granddaughters, Moroha and Kiki, were laughing without a care in the world. They're so innocent and carefree.
If only children could remain this innocent forever. Moroha was the older one who was eight and her younger sister Kiki was six. Moroha greatly resembled her mother, Kagome.
Kikyo, or Kiki as everyone called her, greatly resembled her grandmother Izayoi. Either way, the sisters had an unbreakable bond, and nothing would ever tear them apart.
Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything in me
These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
These are the moments
I know all I need is this
I've found all I've waited for, yeah
And I could not ask for more
"They're so beautiful, so precious, aren't they, Toga?" as his wife leaned into him. His golden eyes were filled with joy. "Yes, my beloved, they sure are. I'm so happy they'll grow up in a world where they won't be outcasts. Even though they looked more human, due to only being a quarter-demon."
"Toga, you worked a miracle for our entire family when you sent Inuyasha and me to the future. Thanks to you? Our whole family is safe and has had happy lives. I surely couldn't ask for more. Living to see my granddaughter's births? I'm quite content. For I fear I wouldn't have lived long enough if we stayed in the past."
"Yes, everything worked out for the better. I wish Sesshomaru had allowed us to take his twins to the seaside. However, he'd other plans for his daughters."
"Hmm, well, due to your ingenious mind? Your firstborn now understand the value of the needs of the heart and soul. Not simply seeking out meaningless things such as power."
"Yes, I'm extremely ecstatic he ultimately learned what I failed to teach him in the past. I'm also thankful Inuyasha allowed us to take his daughters on a week-long holiday."
"It's essential for our family to bond. Plus, he and his wife needed a break from being parents. Even if it's only a week," replied the enchanting princess.
I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
And every prayer has been answered
Every dream I've had come true
Yeah, right here in this moment
Is right where I'm meant to be
Here with you here with me
Yeah
"Grandma! Grandpa! Look what we found!" cried out Moroha as she and Kiki raced over to them. They both were holding treasures of the sea in their small arms. Brilliantly colored glass smoothed by the sea, various seashells, some interesting driftwood. They had even uncovered a fossil!
"Your treasures are so beautiful," Izayoi proclaimed as she sifted through the fossil.
"You really think so, Grandma? I'm the one who found the fossil! Isn't it neat?" chimed Kiki, so happy with her discovery.
"You did quite well-finding treasure, my precious treasures," their grandfather assured them.

Both girls preened from the compliment. They didn't get to spend time alone with their grandparents frequently. It wasn't easy for the grandfather especially knowing he'd to be extra careful as a full-fledged demon.
Yes, he'd learned to alter his human appearance to appear completely human. However, it wasn't that easy at times, particularly when he became frustrated or aggravated to keep the enchantment intact. No wonder after their father graduated, their grandparents had purchased this isolated seaside home to enjoy their golden years in peace.
Given its isolated location? Their grandfather could drop the tweaked spell. Thus retaining his normal human-like appearance. Or even better, transform into his proper form of a demon dog.
He usually became his demon self whenever they played, or he wanted to give them a ride. So he'd promised they could go for a ride during sunset this evening. The young quarter-demons were thrilled at the prospect. They're grateful their grandfather didn't mind being ridden on. Sure enough, that evening, as the sun started to set, Toga transformed into his proper form.
Bending down so the girls could climb on, he smiled. Then they were bounding across the water before leaping into the air to enjoy the sunset truly. One thing was for sure. This unique but wonderful family honestly couldn't ask for more.

Is right where I'm meant to be
Oh, here with you here with me
No, I could not ask for more
Than this love you gave me
Cause it's all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
No, yeah
No, I could not ask for more

Nobody can do for little children what grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children."
Alex Haley

"Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, The greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory. Grandparents are the family's strong foundation. Their very special love sets them apart. Through happiness and sorrow, through their special love and caring, grandparents keep a family close at heart."

"Grandma and Grandpa, tell me a story and snuggle me with your love. When I'm in your arms, the world seems small, and we're blessed by the heavens above."

Surely, two of the most satisfying experiences in life must be those of being a grandchild and or a grandparent."
Donalid A Norber
Becoming a grandparent is a second chance. For you have a chance to put to use all the things you learned the first time around and may have made mistakes on. It's all love and no discipline. There's no thorn in the rose."

"There is nothing more wonderful than the love and guidance a grandparent can give his or her grandchild."

Going to see my grandparents was the highlight of my childhood summers…. I was doted upon, admired, entertained and overfed. I was never more content and happy."
