This is a DCEU slowburn Wonderbat fanfic fanart comic drawn and written by me.

If you're interested, please read the pictorial version, because only that way is the text fully understandable. You can read the comic on my blogspot: freesketchgo (link in my profile), because unfortunately I can't insert pictures on this site.

I envisioned three important conversations and situations between Bruce and Diana, after the events of Snydercut, that play a very important role in strengthening the relationship between them. Because they are both mature people who have lived a lot, they have slow but meaningful adult conversations. Thank you if you took the time to read. :) I've been working on it for three months in my spare time, and it still needs some work, but I wanted to share it. English is not my first language, unfortunately. Please let me know in the comments if you'd like to see the sequel. There are many more points of convergence between two people in reality, but unfortunately, I don't have the possibility to achieve everything I imagined, but I would like to convey these three situations as much as I can as time goes on.

Thank you for reading!
More frames would have been better for so much text, but unfortunately, I don't have the possibility to add more pictures because of my time schedule.
An animated version of this fan comic is also in the works.

Extract from the comic strip text below and the comic with the pictures on freesketchgo blospot.

-I checked everywhere, we secured those who can still be helped, Flash is assisting the paramedics and firefighters with coordination.

- Believe me, we wouldn't have done anything differently. You had to choose who to help first, it was inevitable. I couldn't have done more if I were you.

- Cyborg and I will stay here and help get the bodies out, you two should go back and help move the wounded, the nearby hospitals are filling up fast, try to reduce the panic.

- He is right, we are more useful there, we should go.

- But...

- Diana, there's no point, that's where your strength is needed.

- Diana... go with Clark, we've got things under control here, believe me…

- Clark, it's time to talk to her, because the situation is not improving as far as I can see. You can tell her what we talked about last time.

- Alright, no wonder she's been like this lately... Don't you want to talk to her instead? You were the one who brought things up.

- No. I'd probably just make her more tense, which is the opposite of what we're trying to do.

- Better not, it's silly to call at this time.(Ezt már este gondolja Diana.)

- Welcome sir, surprisingly perfect timing, I'm just about to serve dinner. I can't remember the last time you had a freshly served meal.

- That's why I always tell you not to bother with cooking, a cucumber sandwich would be plenty at this hour, but thank you.

- That wouldn't be a very varied diet sir, and I must admit I almost miss making more spectacular dishes. And it would be a waste if you would only use this table for paperwork. And was today's event a success?

- More or less.
Wayne enterprises partners seem to agree with our vision for the coming year. Sometimes I feel like it's easier to keep Gotham's nightlife in order than to attend these mannered events. 15 years ago, I had fun from time to time, but in recent years I feel like I'm just wasting my time, especially now. My parents weren't into these evening parties either, but they were still able to look like they are interested, no matter how many times they heard the same empty conversations. I always envied them for that ability.

- Do not devalue yourself, Master Bruce, you are a master of suffering in silence.

- As we planned Master Clark visited today to see how the manor develops. Work is progressing well this week. There are a few issues that should be decided by tomorrow. I didn't expect potential allies to show up at this rate. It won't be easy to consider who might be part of the team.

- We seriously need to consider who we involve, as much as such a group can be a help to the world, it can also be a threat. If things start to go downhill we have to be aware of who we are defending ourselves against, even if they are part of the team. It's hard to make allies without being completely vulnerable. Obviously, I have to rely on others, but for now, I'm the only one without special skills who's more concerned about whether a consensual willingness to help mankind is as important to these people as it is to me, or hopefully to the Clark end the others.

- Looks like he saw I tried to call. I have to pick up but I'm not even sure what I want to say. Bruce…

- Is everything all right Diana?

- Yes of course... sorry if I disturbed you earlier, I know it's late for unexpected phone calls.

- Well, it's only midnight here, but by you dawn arrives soon, if my math is right. Anyhow, people rarely call you at night with good news.

- Ummm yes… I've gotten used to the fact that in our lives it matters less and less what time it is... Look Bruce, I just wanted to tell you that you shouldn't worry, I've been a little scattered lately, but I'm always focusing on the team and not compromising our plans.

- So Clark talked with you. It's not that simple Diana... there are traits, changes I recognize after all these years and I know where they lead, but you know that. You are more stressed lately, and it's not good at a team level if it escalates. Over the last two months, we could clearly see that you are not fully focused.

- You have nothing to worry about. It just so happens, that since our battle, I've found myself in situations that I wanted to stay away from for a very long time, but have chosen not to do so anymore for a reason. It's hard right now, but I'll get over it like the rest of you.

- Diana, I have no doubt about your role in the team. You're more experienced than any of us, you've seen more of human life than I ever will, and your skills could save more people than I can count. It's perfectly understandable that it doesn't leave you cold when something doesn't go as planned and you see people lose their lives. We were lucky in the past few months and things have turned out well as much as they could, but there will always be times when it will be different only with bad options to choose from.

- After I arrived in man's world I've learned this the hard way you know that, and I understood and accepted this.

- Well, that doesn't necessarily mean that you can live with this feeling...
You know that the one thing we can be sure about is if we don't try to help, then the opportunity for everyone could be truly lost... it's hard to keep holding on to this, but I often remind myself that many years ago that night there were people in Gotham who were surely in similar danger and got help, but my parents didn't. It was bitter to think about this at first, but soon I realized that I should be glad for other innocent people's luck, the world would be a bitterer place if they had faced the same tragedy. It's hard to accept this approach but it's the truth and you know this. I have no doubt that you want to help people and try to do whatever it takes, but for the time being, it doesn't seem to be good for you to be involved in the team's missions at this pace... The team can ease the burden on you when you need it, it doesn't mean anyone doubts you. It is hard to live like this for decades and not to break, but Diana living like this for centuries...

- It's nice of you Bruce to care about my mental state, but it's not easier for you or the team either. You were the one who inspired me to fight for this world again, and although I initially resisted, I realized that listening to you was the right choice. I'm just doing what you encouraged me to.

- I have asked you in the past where you were for so long, why weren't you present in the life of humanity... but I must admit that you have already made a priceless sacrifice. You gave up your family and your world to come to the aid of humanity. It's a huge sacrifice... it's hard to move forward without people who are important to you because they're no longer alive, but maybe the only thing that's more unbearable is when you know that they're there somewhere but you can't be a part of their lives anymore. Our world has very little to offer you compared to what you have given up... perhaps humanity will never repay you. You and Clark and the others are serving a much greater purpose, leading the world towards a future that may be better than it has ever been. Not now, it may be many years, but if we can achieve what we envision, then perhaps one day you will live in a world here among humans that's worthy of the sacrifice you have made. I can see now that it is not the years to come that are at stake, but to think of what your presence will bring to the world hundreds of years from now, a much greater goal than I had in mind originally. Only those who are humane and yet clear-sighted can achieve this, and for that, it is important not to lose yourself over the years. Everyone in the team has a role and needs to be who they really are Diana, it is in everyone's interest that you don't sacrifice your personality for our goals because, in the end, you will achieve the opposite effect. So on behalf of humanity, thank you for the sacrifice, but don't let it be at the cost of not being the leader in the future that you are in your head now, and if that means stepping back sometimes and letting others do the job, then feel free to do so.

- Sometimes you talk like an old wise man Bruce...

- I can't interpret exactly whether this is negative or positive...

- No... you misunderstand... so much has happened since I've been here among you people, so much has changed and I feel sometimes that it's really only me who's getting older in the way I think and talk and grow more distant from humanity... and maybe it feels good to hear you say these things because, although I know it sounds silly, but I feel like you and me we're the same age...

- Well, unlike you, Alfred is worried about my elderly behavior in general, but I'll tell him there's a silver lining.

- Anyway, it's comforting to hear something like this from such a realist person like you, but you need to have more confidence that I can make the right decisions for myself. I understand the role you have for me and the others and I know you have far-reaching plans, but only time will tell how capable we are. I know this must be a very uncomfortable conversation for you so thank you Bruce. Of course, I know what I should do, but I guess after a long life like mine I need reassurance sometimes.

- I'm not the best person to say the right things in these situations, you're the expert of words in the team.

- That's why you asked Clark to talk to me... You know it means a lot that you can meet people with similar fates and you don't have to hide what defines you best. It's tiring that you have to hide your full personality around people in everyday life. I'm sure that it's not just the will to do something, but also this serves as motivation too of those who want to join us. A few years ago, it never even occurred to me that there would be so many of us sharing a secret and it would be so much easier. What I don't understand is why you don't accept your own thoughts. You keep urging us to work together and yet most of the time you're only willing to stand up to Gotham on your own...

- That's a different case Diana. I've dedicated a significant part of my life to moving this city forward, it doesn't matter how long it will take. Gotham changes you... as much as I care about this place it undeniably takes something from everyone. We've all seen terrible things, but Gotham is different... I know it and I'm used to it. The more you experience Gotham, the more you become like the people who live here. I know how things work in this City and how to maintain balance, it just causes bigger chaos if someone meddles from the outside.

- You will never change your mind, right?

- Only if the interests of the people here one day require it.

- I can accept your decision... but in return please also accept that I can face the challenges before me and then I promise to rely on you and the others when the time comes and if I really need it, you will know if I can't take it anymore.

- It's an equivalent compromise from a princess, I don't think it would be fair to say no...

- What? I can't recall the last time anyone called me that, but coming from you it's not so strange surprisingly.

- Everything sounds plausible coming from an old man like me.

- I owe you a late phone call Bruce... Although I know that you don't need any helpful chatting. What a world it would be if you did...

- Well that's true, but don't blame me If I once take the chance.

- Maybe you should talk to all your teammates from time to time on the phone, because I have a feeling you wouldn't have said half that much in person. Please give Alfred my regards and let him rest once in a while, he is also irreplaceable.

- I'll let him know. Yes Diana, believe me he knows that.

- Take care of yourself and... thank you Bruce... See you in two weeks at the meeting.

- Yes, you too Diana...

- Judging by the untouched state of your dinner sir, you had a long talk with Miss Prince, I hope she is well.

- She sends her regards. I'm sorry Alfred, I don't think I'll be able to eat your cooking completely fresh today either.

- Never mind sir, I'm sure you'll have an even better appetite now thanks to miss Prince. Here you'll find everything you need to look over for tomorrow.

- This is the biggest and riskiest investment I have ever made. I really hope it pays off.

- Sir, all I can say is that you have been perfectly accepting, adapting and facing the bad things since you were a child. Maybe it is time to do the same with the good things that come your way and accept them too.
