Juiles POV in a way. I say POV.. Although I'm writing 3rd person, I find it easyer to zoom in and focus on a specific character.. I like to try and make most of it sound like it's 3rd person.. But written with their personality… So I hope you enjoy it! The next Chapter will also be Juile Centered.. Then we'll go back to Mildred! But if you like the Julie writing, then i may throw some more in later down the lines..
I hope this answers some questions!
Abbie: Thank you! I apriceate it!
ENJOY!
Chapter 15: A World of Julie..
Confusion and Rage.. That's all that could go around Julie's Head. Her dear daughter had betrayed her! That'd have serious consequences! She vanished into said daughter's room. She looked over the potion she was brewing.. She really thought she could just.. Take her magic?
She waved her hand, making that last ingredient appear within it. Mildred turned around to speak "Mum, Give me that back, Please" She Begged, eyes full of worry and dread.
"Why? So you can take away my magic?" Her mother all but hissed at her. In all her years, she had never felt such hatred.
"That is not what I'm trying to do!" Mildred pleaded. "I'm trying to stop you from being turned to stone!".
A Voice spoke to her in her head.. 'She's Lying', 'This is all Miss Hardbrooms influence', 'they are trying to turn you into a nobody again..'.
"Lies now is it?" was her whispered response. "I'm so disappointed in you, Mildred" She shook her head lightly, hoping her daughter would see sense.. Would join her once and for all. "You know.. I think some time in that sculpture might do you good"
"No…" Mildred whispered in disbelief. This was not any other threat, this was a promise. If there's one thing Juile Hubble had learned, it was that empty threats only lead to more disobedience.
Julie Raised her hand ready to strike. "N-No! No!" Mildred yelled out as she jumped out the way, her door being hit instead of herself. "You're not thinking straight mum! You're not You!" Another attempt at reasoning. "Look Mum!" She yelled her potion at where the door once was. "Look! Us.. Before this all began!"
As the Images played, Julie lifted her hand to her face, for a moment.. She almost remembered something important.. A Feeling maybe...That is until she turned to look at Mildred once more, half her face being covered in stone.
"You're trying to trick me.." Julie muttered, Face like Thunder. Her hand raises, ready to strike. Before the area, where the door was meant to be, opened up. Revealing a more than Angry looking Miss Hardbroom, and Miss Cackle. "For this Attack, Throw her Back!" They yelled out in Sync. Julie went flying, through the wall, and down to the courtyard.
Julie landed on the ground, like a discarded toy.. But she was quick to raise once more, like a zombie from the grave. Her head shot up, looking directly at Mildred, This Distraction allowed Miss Drill and Miss bat, now on the ground, to throw her further back. As she looked at the teachers closing in on her.. And that annoying frog standing behind her, she yelled out "You may have won the fight! But the battle is far from over!" She looked back to mildred to say "I'll be back.." In a flash of smoke, She disappeared.
She Knew the teachers would be looking for her, There was no doubt there. She hobbled through the woods, her body aching from that fall.. Her magic was sustaining her, but it wouldnt do in the long run!
Her knees were already feeling funny.. Like she couldn't bend them.. Like they were made of stone. She fell over close to the edge of the woods, She had to get out of here! She had to figure out a plan! She had to get her daughter back.. And destroy Cackles in the process..
"I don't think you're going to get far like that!" Screeched a voice from beside her. When she looked over, she found a middle aged witch. Scrawny with an absolute mess of a head..
"Who..?" Julie started, her hand coming up to attack, but the stone stopped her from truly raising it up.
The witch pointed to herself. "Delilah! Oh, we haven't met yet.." Delilah eyed up Julie with a shrug. "I could help ya, if ya like!" Julie eyed her with curiosity.. She didn't look like a cackle witch. She looked like too much of a chaotic mess for that. Julie nodded slightly.
Delilah pulled a small blue vial. She dropped some onto Julie's head with a hum. After a moment, Juile turned back into herself.. There was still some stone left on her.. But she could move freely once more.
She stood up to stare at the lanky witch. "Who. Are. You." Julie demanded. She had no time for medlers.
The Witch gives her a wide grin, her rotten teeth on full display. "Delilah! I'm what one might call.. A free spirit…" She shrugged and sighed afterwards, moving away from Julie. "I can't completely get rid of the Stone.. I aint that great! Me Mistress might but.. She's a bit preoccupied..So you'll just have to watch ya magic!"
"What happens if it continues to spread?" Julie asked.
"You'll turn to stone and.. Left there forever.. Yup.. That's how that works.." Delilah seemed rather.. An airhead. "Ofcourse, we could just keep reanimating you.. But while ya magic is like this.. Ya gonna keep turning to stone!"
"And.. What about your mistress? She could stop it?" Juile asked.. Something about this witch seemed very… Anti-Cackles. She wasn't a prim and proper witch like the others..
"Oh aye. She's a very talented witch.. But.. she only helps her coven out.. We help her, she helps us.." The witch pauses before it's like a lightbulb went off in her tiny head. "You could Join our coven! We could keep ya walking! Ya could help us get our Mistress back, and she can then help you get your daughter back!"
"How do you know about Mildred..?" Now Julie's Interest has truly peaked..
"I've been watching.. Waiting.. Mistress Aggy could do with more witches like you on our side.." Delilah nodded, turning and walking away. "She has a dream.. To rule cackles.. Away from the witches code.. The way it should have always been run… If that interests ya, ya should come with me.."
A Chance to join a coven that'll have her back? Get Millie on her side? And have cackles reformed? That sounded like too good of a deal to pass up! Juile followed along.
Despite being a wanted witch, Julie couldn't help but linger at cackles from time to time... Waiting and watching.. That's when she saw her. Her baby girl. Crying by another stone statue. Before she knew it, Miss Hardbroom had appeared.
"This!" Hardbroom yelled out, Making darling Mildred Jump. As Millie turned around she fell onto her ass. Her sadness being replaced by pure fear. "Is not doing Homework!"
"M-Miss Hardbroom- '' Mildred started, before being cut off by Hardbroom.
"How -Dare- You lie to me! It's Deceit that got us into this problem in the first place!" Julie watched from the side lines, looking at the other statue, then at Hardbroom.. Maybe she and Mildred were more alike than she had thought.
"I just wanted a walk!" Mildred tried to reason.
"I don't care if you were meeting up with the Great Wizard! You Do not lie to me, you wretched girl!" She bent down to hiss it into Mildreds face. Wretched.. Yes.. The Voices swerling round Julie's head had said the same thing. That girl needed to be taught a lesson.
Mildred looked as if she was searching for something intelligent to say. But instead just squeaked out "I'm sorry.." Tears started to pour out of her eyes once more, her body shaking slightly from fear.
Juile took this chance to step out from the shadows.. Her daughter was sorry.. And she was ready to forgive. "It's okay, Millie.I forgive you." She said to her daughter.
Mildred slowly stood up, as Hecate came to stand in front of the young girl, Blocking her from Julie. How dare she try and stop her from seeing her daughter..
"That's quite enough Miss Hubble" Hecate spoke to the woman, making sure to say Mizz, and pronouncing every letter in hubble. Juile Hated it. She hated that smug look in her eyes. The way she had to pronounce everything. She hated how much better at everything she was.
"Now now, Hardbroom. You know perfectly well, i'm not here to talk to you" Miss Hubble spoke as if she was speaking to a child. She wanted nothing more than to be able to look down on Miss Hecate Hardbroom.
Hardbroom looked behind her to Mildred, before Mildred started to sprint, as fast as her little legs would take her, straight to the castle.
"MILDRED!" Julie screamed out before getting thrown backwards by Miss Hardbroom. But as fast as she went down, she was back up. "Now.. That wasn't very nice." She said, as the floor started to shake, moving under their feet. She'd been getting rather good with her wordless Magic. Earthquakes were just one kind she was able to summon at will.
"Miss Hubble, I really must employ you to use your brain for once." The rage that bubbled through Hubble was overwhelming. She saw pure red! The Ground crumbled, Forcing Hecate to move backwards. Unfortunately, she was a little slow, before the ground moved up, throwing the witch onto her backside, earning a small smirk from Julie.
Hecate got up from the floor, now a good distance between the pair. She holds her hands out, "Make this a Sharp spike, one of Lightning strikes!" Out of her finger tips, blue lightning strikes into Julie, She stumbled back, her whole body igniting in pain.
But she was quick to retaliate, and Quick to think of a response. "What was it you said last time we met? Oh.. yes.." She Pushed her hands out and yelled. "For this attack, Throw her back!" There was nothing wrong with using your enemies tricks against them. Hecate was launched backwards into a nearby tree, gasping as she collided.
Hecate held out her hands, making circle motions with it, watching as Julie began to walk towards her. "I must try to make you go high, thanks to this tornado you will fly!" A Small Tornado formed in the potion mistress's hand, As she sent it forward, it captured Julie. Spinning the woman round, and round, growing in size and fierceness. It Swooped Julie Hubble up, and into the sky, screaming and yelling as it did.
"THIS ISN'T OVER!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Thankfully, Delilah would save her once again from this torment tornado..
As summer was about to begin, she'd been tasked with a very important mission.
"Go to Pentangles. Watch them. Then Report back." Coldstone had told her.
"And remember, don't get caught!" Bindweed added in.
She took her trusted broom, now a real witch.. And Flew to Pentangles. It wasn't massively far away, just a few very large mountains away.. To Her surprise, she found them to be having their end of year party.
She lerked in the maze, just in time to see something interesting.. Miss Hardbroom and Miss Pentangle, out on the balcony.. Hardbroom stepped into Pentangles personal space, Gently rested her hands on her hips, and leaned in to place a small kiss on Pippa's lips. As soon as it started it was over again..
She never knew the Strict, unfeeling potions mistress would have a love life. It was almost laughable.. But she watched their small moment play out.. Then her daughter interrupted them. They looked like a perfect little family.. But she knew.. Julie knew that Mildred would never truly be happy, not with them, not as she could be with her mother.
She returned to the coven later that night, reporting to them all she saw, and all she knew.. Later that month, just before Pentangles would return, Juile was tasked with destroying Pentangles, and taking hold of their founding stone.
She didn't really care about what would happen to Pentangles and their pretty princess headmistress. She only wanted to destroy an institution that should have been gone years ago.. This Coven will be the ones to break down this barrier! Starting with the death of Pentangles.. After all, they couldn't operate without a founding stone.
After the whole debacle of Pentangles, They made her wait two months before she'd get another chance! Two whole months!
The Attack on Cackles was here.. She was there not so secret, secret weapon. They knew she'd shock them enough. And the fact she wasn't alone? That'd be even more shocking.. She looked forward to a rematch with Miss Hardbroom, hopefully their last. She looked forward to having Mildred back.. And all she needed to do was distract the most powerful witches in the school for a while..
It'd be a hallow's end the school will never forget!
