Chapter 1: Origins Part 1.
Barry Amidala used to be a joyful, loving boy. However that was back when he had been naïve and young.
As he grew older, reaching the age of twelve, he truly began to understand how the galaxy worked and what kind of people lived in it.
His uncle, husband of Pooja Naberrie, had grown more and more frustrated and angry with him over the smallest of things. From little mistakes he made in his chores, to spending time with his friends around the country side and out on the lake.
And so, because his uncle apparently needed an outlet, he beat and even whipped Barry on a daily basis, ignoring his nephews pleas and begs.
Barry could not tell anyone else, because he had been threatened by his uncle. His uncle had basically told him that if he reported him, he would start hurting his cousins and his aunt.
Barry had thus learned early on to hide his emotions, externally and internally. As well as his injuries.
When he turned sixteen, the young man had grown used to his uncle's 'discipline'.
He had started to work hard on his body, training up his muscles in the scorching heat of the day in order to get stronger and more resilient.
Barry hated his uncle, especially when he found out that his aunt had not escaped his uncle's wrath.
She too was abused by her own husband, whether it be for an imperfect meal or because she had still 'failed' to give him a male child.
He had almost walked in on his uncle slapping Pooja one day, but had managed to hear her muffled cries. His anger blazed like a red dwarf, but he pushed it down quickly, once again wearing a cold and uncaring face.
A few days later, Jake, Pooja's husband, went missing, and was later presumed dead.
Nobody would know of his true fate, well, nobody but Barry.
He could take his own uncle hurting him, but then hurting his loving, kind aunt?
Yeah, Jake had crossed the line.
And so Barry got rid of him.
Pooja had not said a word, and Barry figured out she knew he had something to do with her husband's disappearance. But she had not confronted him about it or even said a word.
Now with his uncle out of the way, Barry was able to put his ideas and custom built vehicle modifications to good use.
He bought a workshop without argument or hindrance, and used his uncle's money to start a business.
The business took off quite quickly, which allowed Barry and Pooja to become quite wealthy, well, as wealthy as one could be on a rich planet such as Naboo.
Barry hired on some workers, and even a self defense teacher (who just happened to be a retired bounty hunter) to teach his aunt and himself in how to keep themselves safe.
Unfortunately, Pooja had barely gotten through her third lesson before she was taken and then killed by Hutt slavers.
Barry, once again filled with a boiling rage, hunted down and slaughtered the entire cartel who had murdered his aunt.
He then found out that one of his workers was in fact a Rebel trooper who had been ordered to go to Naboo in order for him to scout out an area for a new base.
The rebel had been with his aunt and had pushed her off of the speeder they were using to escape the Hutt slavers.
When asked why by his employer: The rebel explained that it was in order for him to get back to the workshop quickly and still be 'of use to his cause' , the man then apologized sincerely and gave his condolences for her death.
Barry rightly killed the man where he stood and then searched his room and belongings for anything that could be of use or bargaining for when he left the planet.
After that day, he came to realize he now had no more family and very few friends.
(After all, his cousins had left Naboo for other planets years ago.)
Jeffrey Antilles, his late best friend, had recently died in a racing accident somewhere in the mid rim. And Antilles family had blamed Barry for his death, vowing to have no more contact with the young man.
And so, Barry Amidala sold his workshop and home and then joined up with the empire. He knew of their less than decent reputation within the outer rim, especially due to the amount of Rebellion Propaganda that had been circling around the Holonet as of late.
And when he was younger, he perhaps would have believed the rumors and whispers.
But now, he had no love of the Rebellion or the hutts. Especially after the Hutt slavers had tried to kidnap his aunt, only to then kill her in cold blood, thus angering the young man further.
Barry had at first thought to join the academy and be a pilot, but he did not want to end up being a pawn in space battles.
Oh no, Barry wanted to be important, to bring change to the Galaxy.
Funnily enough, an Emperial intelligence officer had took notice of the young man's dedication, loyalty and excellent scores. And had covertly approached the man and asked him if he wished to join the infamous 212th.
After a year in training, Barry joined the legion and quickly rose through the ranks.
He was a lean, mean, rebel killing machine.
And his superiors kept a close eye on him, happy to see where his career lead him.
(Tattooine)
Obi-Wan Kenobi had spent the last year searching the galaxy for Barry, after finding out that he had gone missing.
However he had failed to find the boy and had almost gotten into trouble numerous times and with numerous organizations.
Crime cartels, Black Sun, Crimson Dawn, The pikes and even the empire.
Yoda had contacted him and informed him of a change within the force, he had then told him to forget about Barry for now and insisted he now focus on Luke and leia.
They were, of course, now their only hope.
