While the purple pup could run around the reddish one using his speed, he couldn't jump over him. Akashi's pup mostly stood on his hind legs, making him taller and therefore impossible to jump over. Thanks to the purple pup's speed he could pass him from the sides, but he still preferred jumping over his opponent since then he could catch the ball faster or directly shoot it.
Thanks to that inconvenience for the purple pup, his opponent slowly began pulling away in points. For a few minutes he let with only one point, then the gap became two and then three.
That's how the first half of the match ended, Akashi's pup was in the lead with only three points. His human had the idea that something like that would happen because unlike Murasakibara who wanted results immediately, Akashi planned how the game would progress as a whole, in the long run.
Looking to the purple-haired boy's bench though, Akashi didn't see him being worried in the slightest. Had he planned something, too? Or was he just not caring enough for this?
Akashi decided not to worry, giving his puppy some water and telling him he had been amazing on the court. Still, the boy really wanted to know what was Murasakibara saying to his biscuit-eating puppy.
