Tallis smiled gleefully as she spread her arms out to either side. Her feet balanced on a narrow board of wood while her audience, consisting of a fretting wookiee, a human girl, and two green Theelin brothers held their breath.

The board was raised a good twelve feet high in the air, wedged inbetween two trees.

Tallis gave an elaborate bow after a few steps, the wookiee gasping in horror. Gleefully the youngster addressed her little audience.

"And now, witness the walk of death!" She said wickedly, facing the narrow road before her. Leaning forward the girl placed her hands on the board before kicking her booted feet into the air.

"Go Tallis!" Said the smaller Theelin, giggling as Tallis precariously began to walk in her hands along the board.

She was half way across when suddenly a shout came from behind the group.

"Whoops." Tallis muttered as her feet went forward, over her back and landed on the board, righting herself easily as her mom came through the forest, the wookiee immediately roaring up a nervous explanation.

However, the orange Togruta raised a hand to silence the distraught wookiee. "It's okay Rukk. Now all of you go on."

At her words, the gathering of friends, and babysitter, dispersed as Ahsoka approached the little plank trick Tallis had set up.

"What have I told you when it comes to these sorts of stunts?" Ahsoka asked as she raised her arms, patiently waiting for Tallis to jump down.

Withholding a sigh and trying to be respectful, Tallis sat down on the plank before slipping off, landing right into her mom's arms. Gentle she was set to the ground, her mom's arms now crossed as Tallis scuffed her boot tip in the dirt.

"To not do it unless you're around." Tallis began.

"And?" Ahsoka asked.

"To not get Rukk all upset since he's a very good babysitter." Tallis continued, glancing up at the older Togruta with childish hesitance.

"So what made you want to show off?" Ahsoka then asked curiously, guiding the youngster over to sit down in a patch of grass.

Tallis shrugged as she plopped down. "I dunno, I just wanted to do something fun was all."

"And that meant worrying Rukk to near death?" Ahsoka chided in soft amusement.

The little girl shrugged again, looking quite apologetic about that part now.

Sighing, Ahsoka touched Tallis' arm, gaining the little one's eye contact as she spoke.

"Sometimes we make the wrong decisions. I have made bad decisions throughout my life and continue to do so." Ahsoka explained gently. "However, I make good decisions too. I think about it, and sometimesI just know what is right. You must learn to know what is right, and avoid the bad decisions, no matter what other people will say or think of you. Can you promise to at least try?"

Tallis looked to the ground, processing this new outlook in life before vigorously nodding her head. "I'll be better, promise." She said, offering her pinky finger to Ahsoka, who took it in her own as a playful, yet also meaningful oath.

"You're already better." Ahsoka said as she brought Tallis into a tight hug.

Tallis crossed her arms, watching Luke gently bobbing in the bacta tank. After the doctors were sure he was stable they had allowed visitations. It was Tallis' turn to watch over the boy while Obi-Wan got some much needed down time. Truth be told, they all needed some down time.

Things couldn't be any worse. Tallis had snuck into the investigation room to see what evidence they had of the bomb explosion. They could not find anything that would suggest Han hadn't set the bomb. And almost no one could truly vouch for the man, and Chewbacca did not count. The only reason Chewie wasn't a suspect was because of the bomb type, that many wookiees were not familiar with. No one in the Rebellion knew Han enough to believe he would never hurt Luke. Luke was the only who would stand up for Han, and he had not awakened for weeks now.

Rubbing her temples tiredly, Tallis finally took a seat, folding her hands and resting her lips against her fingers. The wrong decision was to judge Han too quickly, Tallis knew that. But she also knew she had little love for the smuggler. She just had not known the man that long, and sometimes found him as insufferable as Luke gave him grace.

But it was all the same. Han Solo was innocent and somewhere deep down, Tallis knew this. She just was not sure how to fix the problem.

"Oh Luke," Tallis shook her head in dismay, "I don't know what to do."

It had been weeks. Weeks that Chewbacca paced the Falcon endlessly, and only got to visit his friend every few days. But those visits were not in vain. Chewbacca now knew the layout of the prisoner block, and exactly where Han was being held. As much as Chewbacca had grown to love Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Tallis Tano, and even the droids, they could not get in the way of his life debt to Han. And so, Chewbacca waited for night to fall.

Chewbacca padded along the stone floor, stopping to peer around a corner before sneaking along again. Almost there now, Chewbacca decided. He just needed to get to the lift that would bring him down into the dungeons below. Almost there now.

Chewbacca was about to reach the turbo lift when a shift in smell startled him.

"Hey you!"

Chewbacca spun around, seeing a Rebel guard marching up to him. "Visiting hours are over, Chewbacca." He said, though sounding stiff he also had a softer undertone, as Chewbacca had met this guard several times while on the way to visit Han.

Chewbacca rubbing the back of his hairy head and wuffed softly.

"You can see him tomorrow, promise. Now go on and go to bed." The guard said, gesturing for Chewbacca to head back from where he had come.

Chewbacca sighed. Well he tried. Turning, the wookiee appeared to walk off. But instead he suddenly swung around and backhanded the guard, just enough to knock him into the wall. The guard was unconscious, but unhurt. Chewbacca was rather 'gentle' that way.

"Chewie!"

Chewbacca huffed angrily and turned around again, arm swinging out only to catch air as his new enemy ducked under the blow.

"Chewbacca! It's me!"

Chewbacca blinked and roared in question. The little blue Togruta slowly rose from her crouched position, hands up and opened in a show of no intentional harm.

"Hi . . . What are you doing?" Tallis asked, seeming to be rather startled but otherwise all right.

Chewbacca shrugged and wuffed, telling her exactly his intentions. He was going to break Han out and they'd just go back to smuggling and paying off Jabba because they were dead men here.

Tallis seemed to understand, she nodded her head, standing up and smiled ever so slightly at Chewbacca. "And what about Han's innocence? Won't you try to clear his name?"

Chewbacca scratched the back of his head again, this time in thought.

"The real bomber is still out there. Yes, I believe Han is innocent." Tallis said with a soft grin.

Chewbacca felt his heart rise a bit at that. Even if it was just one person, it was nice to know someone else thought the same as he did. Han would never hurt Luke.

And so, the big alien nodded. He would like to see Han's name cleared and Luke safe, the only question was how?

Tallis answered just that. "Well, if I'm going to be honest Chewie, I'm here to break Han out too." The girl blushed a dark blue.

Chewbacca frowned and roared a question. Why would she want to help Han? They didn't like eachother a whole lot to begin with.

Tallis shrugged. "It's what my mom would want me to do."

That was good enough for Chewbacca. The Togruta smelled of genuine sincerity and he would need help anyways. So he offered his hand to Tallis who gratefully shook it. And together they headed into the turbolift.

Tallis was the first to exit, with lightning speed she grabbed for the guard to the left, getting a grip on his staff while bringing a knee to his lower stomach. The guard doubled over and lost the staff. Tallis tossed the staff aside and hit the man in the neck precisely. He crumbled and did not move again.

Chewbacca was less gentle with the second guard. He had simply grabbed him and slammed him into the wall with a hard thump. The two quickly went onward, finding Han's cell easily enough.

Tallis knelt beside the lock, raising her hand to perhaps use the Force as Chewbacca had witnessed with Jedi before, but his patience was thin. Without waiting to see it Tallis' attempt would work, the strong wookiee grabbed the door and suddenly ripped it straight off its hinges with a horrific screeching sound.

Once this was done, Chewbacca discarded the door and raced into the room ecstatically as his friend jumped up from the table.

"Chewie!" Han exclaimed, a big grin on his face as Chewbacca hugged the man tight. "Good work pal, now let's get out of here."

Chewbacca nodded in agreement as they exited the cell room. Tallis suddenly came around from up ahead, holding Han's belt and blaster.

"What're you doin' here Blue?" Han asked in surprise as the Togruta handed him his stuff.

The girl shrugged. "Chewie and I have joined forces to bust you out of here."

Han gave Chewbacca a look, and the loyal wookiee simply shrugged. He liked quiet Tallis well enough, so Chewbacca wuffed his case for the girl, basically saying Tallis was with them and Han need not worry about it right now. They had to go.

Han begrudgingly accepted the brief explanation as he put his belt on and strapped his holster in place. "Alright let's go."

The journey up the lift and to the hangar was quiet, however as they tried to sneak out of the main hangar, Tallis suddenly grabbed Han's arm and dragged him into a crouch behind several supply crates. Chewbacca had already smelled the guards and crouched as low as he possibly could while they rushed through the hangar to sound the alarm, having found the guard Chewbacca had first knocked away.

"Well that's great." Han muttered as lights began to flicker on here and there in the hangar. Luckily they were still in relative darkness.

"We need to get to the Falcon, real quiet like." Tallis whispered.

"Ya think?" Han muttered back as they slowly began to move, poor Chewbacca having to hunch over more than his human friends as they got to the edge of the hangar and hurried out into the large field of other ships. Luckily the Falcon hadn't been moved because of Chewbacca and his temporary claim over the craft. They seemed homefree.

Until someone shouted from behind them, and Tallis' lightsaber whooshed around to block a stunbolt.

"Get to the Falcon!" She shouted, grabbing her other lightsaber and crossing the green blades to stave off a barrage of stun blasts from a line of rebel soldiers.

Chewbacca thumped on and quickly boarded the Falcon behind Han, the two got to work once inside the cockpit, and luckily the ship was flight ready.

Outside they could see Tallis making her way to the Falcon, expertly slicing away the firing squad's attack as the ship's engines came online, the thrusters roaring to life as she got to the ramp and inside.

The Falcon took off from the ground, however that wasn't the end of the fight.

"Shavit!" Han spat as he glanced at their radar. "X-wings incoming."

Chewbacca whined as Han took evasive action. Tallis suddenly appeared through the cockpit doorway, holding onto whatever she could til she was able to sit down behind Chewbacca. "What's going on?" She asked, frowning at the dots that had circled around the Falcon's position.

"The rebels are after us." Han said grimly, knuckles turning white as he and Chewbacca entered a dogfight with the same people they'd saved just a few short weeks ago.
