Within several hours the cargo ship finally reached its destination, and three figures climbed up a rocky hill to reach an isolated house made of clay.

Leia was not impressed by Tatooine so far, and she had had expectations severely low from the beginning. But she did keep those judgmental thoughts to herself, after all this was Luke's home planet.

"This is a good place to hide. I've hidden here for nearly twenty years now." Obi-Wan said humorously as he ushered his guests inside. Though they hadn't been gone long, Tusken Raiders and Jawas had already ransacked the hut. But there were precious items here that Obi-Wan had hidden expertly.

And that was quite apparent as he went to the far wall and after some pressing, pulled a stone from the wall to reveal a box.

Luke, being ever curious, eagerly joined his mentor while Leia took a seat to watch the two Jedi.

"What's in there?" Luke was asking as he repositioned an upturned table back on its legs so that Obi-Wan could set the box down.

"I meant to retrieve these another time. But there is no time like the present." Obi-Wan said cheerfully as he opened the box, reveal some paper books inside, aurebesh writing printed on the top one's cover.

"These are Jedi books, covering over the different aspects of being a Jedi. I am sure you will find them most informative while we train."

Luke seemed to light up brighter than the palaces of Alderaan on sunny mornings and orange evenings. "Really? Ben, that's amazing! When can we start? Can we start right now?"

Obi-Wan chuckled in amusement. "Patience my young friend! First we must rest and have dinner. Tomorrow we will officially start your training."

Luke nodded and took a breath in an attempt to tame his excitement. With that, Obi-Wan left for the kitchen while Luke sat down beside Leia, again his smile growing.

"Finally, I've been hoping for more training." He commented, dopey smile causing Leia to hold back a chuckle.

"I thought you were already receiving Jedi training." Leia said.

Luke shrugged. "I mean, it was good. But I've wanted to learn something more advanced for a while now. And Tallis isn't exactly a fast teacher." He said with a shake of his head.

Leia smiled. "I used to grow impatient with my teachers too. Politics were always easy to me."

"Well, lightsabering and feeling the Force is a little tricky for me." Luke said bashfully.

"Then you will need to get a hang of it to be able to learn more." Leia informed him with mocked sternness.

Luke grinned and saluted the Princess. "Yes ma'am." He said smartly as Obi-Wan rejoined them.

"Dinner is warming up, thankfully my underground wares were untouched." He said while joining the two. "Let us get down to business."

The droids were taken off the ship after they had been given a good recharge. Artoo's stinger was fully operational, the functionality of the stinging spot on according to Luke's arms as the blindfolded boy tried to deflect the oncoming stingers.

Leia watched with half her attention, the other half fixated on sewing up a hole in her 'new dress'. Which was basically a big brown sack compared to the clothes Leia was accustomed to. But they had to look the part of desert dwellers should anyone see them, and Luke had already put away the hand-me-downs Han gave him.

Leia was very close though to going in the ship and finding some men's smuggler clothes. One of Tallis' old dresses just wasn't cutting it. No wonder Leia had not wasted a second in changing Tallis' style! Her taste was worse off than a jawa.

Obi-Wan folded his arms as Luke yelped slightly, grunted, and removed the blindfold, dropping it to the ground in frustration. "I can't get it!" The boy said, his empty fist balling angrily with the failure he had exhibited today.

His Jedi teacher however, remained calm. "You cannot let your frustrations override your determination."

Luke snorted. "I think I'm in short supply when it comes to determination." Came the sarcastic response.

Obi-Wan did not stir at the biting words. "Often times our failures are there for a reason. If you do not fail, how will you grow?" Coming closer, Obi-Wan set a gentle hand on Luke's shoulder. "Have patience, breathe and focus not on Artoo, but instead on your surroundings." Picking up the blindfold, Obi-Wan gently tied it back over Luke's eyes.

"You must feel what is around you. The air, the dust that shifts when something moves. Breathe, and listen."

Luke seemed to listen, though the red flush of anger on his face did not fade as he returned to the lesson at hand.

And so the lesson went on, with little progress as Luke finally shook his head. "I don't understand why I'm not getting the hang of it. I'm doing everything you say!"

Obi-Wan stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Perhaps that is the problem." He mused under his breath before offering a kind smile. "Let's take a break then, relaxing will do your mind good and we will begin tomorrow."

Reluctantly the boy nodded, kicking the ground once before heading inside, disappointment pouring off his presence in waves.
