On the way back to the Rebel base, which was in the process of being moved from Yavin 4, Han told Leia everything that had happened since he and his rescuers escaped. Leia believed him, not once insisting on Tallis or Chewbacca collaborating his story. For probably the first time she believed every word Han Solo said. She promised to vouch for him and clear his name as well.
Tallis was put in the Falcon's medbay for the time being. Obi-Wan tended her hand while Luke assisted him. Obi-Wan said to expect a full recovery once they arrived at the Rebel medical frigate.
"And don't you go running off anymore." Obi-Wan scolded with a smile. "You nearly killed me."
Weakly Tallis nodded. "I won't." She promised before looking at him curiously. "How did you know about Han's capture?"
"We didn't. After you left we decided to hide Luke, he picked Tatooine to hide for a while." Obi-Wan explained as he placed a hand on Luke's shoulder. "Perhaps it was the Force's will."
"I'd call it luck."
Luke rolled his eyes as Han entered the medbay with Leia and Chewie behind him. "Luck is never that lucky." He protested.
Han waved a hand, smirking at the boy as he came over to join Tallis.
"You okay?"
Tallis nodded. "Obi-Wan says it'll heal."
"Good." Han patted her shoulder good naturedly. "I'd hate to see it stay that way. We're in route for the Rebel fleet, you'll get fixed up there."
"Thanks." Tallis said, smiling softly as Han squeezed her shoulder.
"Don't mention it." Han began to make his way back out, but stopped at the doorway. "And thank you." He said, turning back towards the girl. "You and Chewie really pulled through for me."
"You're our friend." Tallis said. "I'm glad we could help you."
With a half smirk, Han waved and went back to the cockpit.
Luke and Obi-Wan finished doing what they could for Tallis' hand. Then they insisted Tallis rest. She couldn't agree more and readily fell asleep after the lights went off.

With testimonies from Chewbacca and Tallis, and no holes in their individual stories, High Command deemed Han innocent of the attempt on Luke's life. Han was accepted back into the rebels, and Luke knew quite well now that he was not leaving. No matter how much he tried to turn down the rebels who celebrated his victory with him. That same night Luke drank lum with his friend on the Falcon. They told stories, and Luke even demonstrated his growing abilities in the form of pouring Han another cup of lum. Han would later think it was just a drunken dream despite his high tolerance to the alcoholic drink.
The next morning, Luke held his bottom lip between his teeth as he snuck into Tallis' recovery room. She had told him once girls liked flowers and notes. There were no flowers on the Rebel fleet, but a get well note was still pretty good. He hoped to brighten her spirits when she woke from the extensive treatment on her hand. Settling the note on her bed stand, Luke smiled down on his sleeping friend.
"It's going to be okay, Tallis." He could not help but whisper. "Drionn wasn't your only friend. We're here too."
