A/N: I'd forgotten how much I liked writing these one shots/drabbles. I know that some of them are short so please don't hate me. Anyway here's the next one. Hope that you like it. Enjoy.

Please Come Home

Pairing: Bella/Alistair

Summary: Bella meets Alistair during her time abroad in London during college. They've been together for almost ten years. Bella's a doctor living in Seattle. Alistair is traveling and it's Christmas time. Can she convince him to come home for Christmas.

Bella POV

I hated the holidays. People got stupid during the holidays. I'd just come home from a 24-hour shift at the hospital, where I'd spent most of the shift patching up stupidity. I had just sat down on my couch with a glass of wine when I saw the picture of Alistair and I. It was taken at my apartment in London, back during our first Christmas together. I missed him.

He'd been doing some traveling. His father had recently died and he needed to get away. I understood. I mean I'd done the same thing after Charlie and Renee died. The closest thing I had to a parent these days was Phil, who I talked to a couple times a year. I knew that he needed this time to clear his head but he'd been gone for over a month and I missed him. I was ready for him to come home.

I was pulled from my thoughts by the ringing of my cell phone. I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Alistair. I quickly answered. "Hi honey." I said.

"Hey baby. How are you?" He asked me.

I leaned back against the couch. "Tired. Just got off a shift." I told him.

"I'm sorry babe." He said.

"How's your trip?" I asked him.

"It's going good. I'm in South America right now." He told me. My silence must have been deafening. "What's wrong?" He asked.

I sighed. "Baby, come home." I whispered into the phone. He got quiet. "It's been a month. It's almost Christmas. Please come home. I miss you. This house isn't the same without you." I pleaded.

I guess that he was thinking. I'm not really sure. "Baby, I want you to listen to what I'm about to say." He said and I held my breath, hoping that he was going to tell me what I wanted to hear. "I'm standing at the airport right now. I've wanted to come home for weeks. I just couldn't make myself do it. I needed to hear the words come from you. I needed to know that you wanted me home." He said.

"Of course I want you home. Why wouldn't I?" I asked him.

"Because of the way that I left. I was worried that I'd pushed you away." He said.

Now he was just being stupid. "Al, come home baby. It's time." I said.

"I'll be on the next flight." He said. "I love you Bella." He said before he hung up.

I sat my phone on the couch beside me. He was finally coming home. I looked around my living room and realized that I hadn't decorated for Christmas. I picked my phone back up and dialed my best friend's number. "Jake?" I said when he answered. "I need your help." I said with a smile.
