Olivia Benson was drunk. That's all Elliots brain would process as he looked at her. She caught him looking at him and gave him a lazy smile before turning back to the group. She looked beautiful and relaxed. Her cheeks were flushed and her eyes looked like they were threatening to close on her. She was holding her wine glass with two hands as she listened to Carisi tell a very animated story about his million siblings. Elliot wanted to grab Olivia and get out of here but he knew that would attract attention she wasn't ready to deal with, so he sat next to her and turned to the group trying to act like he was interested in the story.

Apparently he was failing miserably because we he turned back to the group Fin was giving him a hard look. Fin had always been protective of Liv but this was on a new level. He honestly looked like he was going to deck him, which he remembered the look well when they all worked together.

Amanda yawned and put her hand on Carisi's arm. He turned and looked at her, "ready to go?" She nodded and stood up. "Alright I guess we are heading out." Kat smiled over her glass, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Amanda rolled her eyes, "Har, har, har. Very funny Kat."

Kat watched them leave and turned back to the group. "Is everyone going to leave?"

Olivia answered a bit slurred, "we are old. We need all the beauty rest we can get."

Elliot smiled at her before asking, "you wanna share a cab?"

Fin spoke up then, "Actually Liv, maybe I should take you home and Stabler can get his own cab."

Olivia looked wide eyed between the men, clearly confused.

Elliot scowled at Fin. Yes, he had a bit of a buzz but he could get Liv home safely. Finally he shrugged. "Whichever you want Liv."

Olivia drank the rest of her wine. "Fin why don't you get home to Phoebe? Elliot and I have shared a cab before."

Fin scowled deeply, "yea well things change, don't they?"

Elliot seemed taken aback by Fins outburst. Wasn't it Fin who told me to fix this? Lord he was confused.

Olivia seemed ruffled by Fins remark and looked over to Kat before turning back to Fin. "Fin, not now. Kat, thank you for a lovely evening but my bed is calling."

Fin muttered under his breath, "as long as it's actually your bed you crawl in," before swallowing the rest of his beer.

Elliots eyebrows went up at Fins comment. He wasn't sure if Liv heard himself not, she sure was acting like she didn't. He turned to the young girl, Kat, who, bless her, seemed very confused at the energy change at the table. Elliot cleared his throat, "Why don't we all share a cab Fin?"

Fin sighed, he knew that was a dumb idea since he would be the first one dropped off anyway. Then the two of them would still do whatever they were planning on doing. Fin wasn't sure why he was so up in arms with the thought of Stabler taking Liv home but he was. He saw Liv as a little sister and he felt a strong need to protect her. "Nah, it's alright. I'm fine to drive and I don't wanna pay for a cab. Stabler, drop her off and go home." With that he stood and moved to kiss Liv on the cheek.

She smiled up at him and patted his shoulder, clearly forgetting what they were even discussing. She watched him leave and sighed.

Kat was looking at her phone, "Alright guys be safe going home. I'm gonna head out to another party." She waved as she walked away from the table.

Liv turned to Elliot and smiled. "El, take me home."

Elliot nodded and helped her stand. They walked out and he hailed a cab. They both got into the backseat as Elliot told the driver their addresses and then sat back against the seat cushions. He suddenly felt Livs hand snake around his inner thigh. He turned and looked at her as she smiled.

"I meant take me back to your place." She moved closer to him slightly.

Elliot swallowed hard. They both were a little passed buzzed. This is clearly what Fin was worried about. "Liv, maybe we should not tonight."

Olivia made an adorable pouty face at him. He almost wanted to laugh because he had never seen her look so cute.

Elliot quickly told the driver to change it to just one address. The driver looked back at them in the rear view mirror before nodding.

"Liv, maybe we should talk." He placed his hand on top of hers.

"No, Elliot, tonight we won't talk. I'm tired of talking. Let's just be for tonight and act like nothing else matters." She squeezed her hand on his thigh.

Before they both knew it they were in his elevator. He pushed the button to his floor and turned towards her. He moved his hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and let his thumb slide gently down her cheek before dropping it.

She looked up at him. "I don't want gentle tonight."

His eyes opened widely at her statement. He wasn't sure what that entailed. Was she talking about wanting rough sex? God what does she expect me to do? He simply nodded at her unsure what to say.

The elevator arrived at his floor and they walked to his door. He turned to say something to her before she pushed him against the door. She put her hand behind his neck and pulled him down to kiss her.

As soon as their lips met she opened her mouth for him. He quickly took the hint and deepened the kiss. She broke away from him but kept his bottom lip in between her teeth and pulled back slightly. He suddenly felt like his whole body awakened. He grabbed her arms and switched positions so her back was against the door and moved one hand behind her head as he connected his lips back towards hers.

Olivia moaned and started to rock her hips against him. She could feel him already and she was eager to get moving.

Elliot moved his hands behind her legs and pulled up. She took the hint and wrapped her legs around his hips. He pushed roughly against her and moved his mouth to her neck. He let go of one of her thighs and attempted to the open the door. He fumbled with the key until it went into the lock and he quickly swung the door open. It made a loud thud against the wall as they walked in. He threw his keys on the counter, shut the door with his foot and carried Olivia until her back was pushed against the wall. He rocked his hips into her and he felt her nails digging into the back of his neck.

He moved one hand to her breast and pinched her nipple through her bra. The sounds she was making were so hot. He was about to carry her to the bedroom when suddenly the lights turned on. Confused, Elliot looked around the room. His eyes landed on Kathleen, who apparently had been waiting for him on his couch. God these kids are going to be the death of me. Suddenly he was regretting not going to Livs place, he son was out so this wouldn't have been an issue. He let Olivias legs dropped and she looked up at him confused. She clearly hadn't noticed that the lights magically turned on, let alone his daughter in the room getting an eyeful. "Kathleen, why are you here?" He voiced sounded strained and he pushed Olivia in front of him to hide his obvious arousal.

Olivia stiffened at his daughters name and groaned as she turned around. "Kathleen, what a nice surprise." She tried to sound cheery and act like Elliots grown daughter hadn't seen them dry humping a few seconds earlier.

Elliot groaned as Olivias elbow flew back into his stomach. Subtle Liv, real subtle.

Kathleens face remained passive. "You didn't answer your phone. I was worried."

"Well, we are fine. Thank you for stopping by and checking in." Elliot ran his hand down his face, knowing that it wasn't going to be that easy to get her out the door.

Kathleen simply stared at them, not making a sound.

Olivia suddenly felt like a horny teenager getting caught by her mother, but honestly she didn't care. She was ready for tonight with Elliot and she just wanted Kathleen to go so they could get back at it. She sighed impatiently and crossed her arms over her chest. "Kathleen, say what you want to say so you can leave and your father and I can get back to business."

Both Elliots and Kathleens eyebrows raised at Olivia. Kathleen, honest to god, gasped. "Olivia!"

Elliot ran his hand down his face again, not quite sure what else to do. Before he came back to New York he could honestly say that he had never been caught in the predicament before and now he has been caught twice. At least it's with the same woman. Olivia had clearly lost her mind.

Olivia sighed again. "Listen Kathleen, I love you and care about your ideas and opinions, but your father and I are grown adults who enjoy each other's company. I won't apologize for that."

"Are you in love? Honestly, how long has this even been going on?" Kathleen stared at Olivia as she asked the questions.

Elliot blurted out, "yes." Which caught a Olivia off guard. What the fuck? She couldn't turn and look at him without turning her back on Kathleen so she just cleared her throat and acted like what he said didn't confuse the hell out of her. "You know, I'm started to get offended that all you kids would think I would ever betray your mother and all of you in that way. Your father and I hadn't talked in ten years before we just reconnected. I have never been the other woman." She felt Elliots hand squeeze her sides gently.

Kathleen sighed and looked down. "Maybe not physically.."

Olivia didn't say anything to this. There was no point in denying that Elliot and her had always been too close. They were codependent on each other when they were partners that constantly wanted to be around each other. She used to think that they enjoyed each other's company above anyone else's, including his wife and kids. She used to feel guilty about it, but that was a long time ago. Elliot and her weren't getting any younger, they didn't have time to dance around this anymore. She didn't want to dance around this anymore. "What do you want me to say to that?" She asked the question innocently.

Kathleen looked back up at her, this time she almost seemed sad. "I want you to deny it. I want you to say that you didn't come to our home, our dance recitals, sporting events and help deliver my little brother all the while being my dads emotional other woman."

She didn't know what she expected but it wasn't that. "I can't. I can't deny that." Kathleen nodded, stood up and walked towards the door. Olivia placed her hand on her arm stopping her. "Your family was the only family I had besides the squad. Your mother and I were friends and I would never had crossed that line. Some relationships are more complicated than others." She let her hand drop.

Kathleen nodded at them. "It will all be fine," She shrugged, "eventually." She walked out the door, shutting it behind her.

Olivia spun around and stared at Elliot. "What the hell do you mean 'yes'?"

Elliot shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "What do you mean?"

She knew he was acting dumb on purpose. "Your daughter asked if we were in love and you shouted 'yes', like a damn fool." She crossed her arms across her chest, glaring at him.

He gave her a crooked smile and moved to wrap his arms around her hips. "I thought you didn't want to talk tonight."

She opened her mouth to argue before closing it, she did say that. "You know what? You are right. We can talk another time. Now go deadbolt that damn door and let's continue what we started."

Elliot smiled, let go of her and walked to the door, locking the deadbolt and securing the chain.
