A week later in Bonesborough…
Everyone was still adjusting to this new-found discovery, for it was a big change for everyone.
This was changing everything for the witches and demons who didn't believe it was to be possible. Yet, by some miracle at a school, it had begun, and it was the talk of the isles.
"Multi-Covens? Is there really such a thing?"
"Not only is it a thing but the Emperor's Coven is offering snails for people to take part in the experiment."
"How is this possible? I thought you die from the overwhelming power of more than one sigil."
"Maybe it's because we've only seen fools try them all at once or the Mark of Mastery without the exam."
"I heard this all began with the principal, who took the first test of this project. It turns out it was the idea of a young student, who used multitrack spells with other kids to stop a basilisk."
"So far they are only doing two Sigils."
"Then once you get the second sigil, they would check over your vitals and test your magic."
"Of course, they would, this was new territory in the study of magic."
"From what I heard so far, the common side-effect is headaches and slight fatigue. Nothing too severe has popped out, yet."
"I wonder how the Covens will react to their own people in different Covens."
"This may bring more support when they are stretched thing."
"Still, some of them are pretty petty and egotistical… Don't tell them I said that."
"This will make a nice change of pace. I think the emperor did the right thing."
Yep, people were already chatting about this revelation found as those who took part in the experiment were already boasting about their new skills. Showing off their new forms of magic and the names they came up with it (Construction + Abomination= Terracotta, Illusion+ Bard= Fairy Tales, Plant + Beast Keeping= Wild Claw, Potion+ Clairvoyance= Soothsaying, Healing + Beast Keeping= Veterinarian, etc.…) It soon became all the rage.
But that's not the only thing… Raging.
At the Emperor's Palace…
"Where do you get off stealing my witches?" Adrian snarled at Vitimir, whose arms were crossed.
"I did not steal them; they simply added a potion sigil as their second coven. You should be pleased with the surplus of witches in your coven." Vitimir countered.
"And you're not agitated of your little potion maker's finding another line of work." Terra scoffed, angry at well.
"And you are mad about your Plant Coven Members are joining someone less mad." Osran insulted.
"If you think those cute little multi-coven tricks were something to admire, then you should see what I can do." Terra snarled but Hettie stopped them.
"Stop this nonsense! This discovery is good for our Isles and our covens in total. This is not the time for bickering over who belongs where." She warned them as her Palisman bonded them with magical wrappings.
"Quite, I think this a good development. We should be less simple-minded." Darius sighed as he was watching the progress of the towns, cities, and villages.
"I say. We haven't this much work done before and with these new sets of magic, there are more possibilities." Mason agreed as he was thrilled with the extra time he and his Coven were getting.
"Still, I don't like how this multi-Coven project is affecting our positions of power." Adrian huffed, pouting like a child.
"Be that as it may, the emperor, and the people are in full support of this. This form of magic sigil splicing will bring strength to our isles and its discovery will bring notoriety and fame." Lilith informed them as she and Kikimora came in, "Despite them being part of an additional Coven, they are still loyal to the covens and will bring us closer together."
"So, get along. The emperor has something big planned, and this will bring even more joy to the people." Kikimora added, "This event will truly be a momentous day."
"We will all be informed of the big secret?" Darius asked with his arms crossed.
"Indeed, everyone in the Demon Realm will know of this and it is certainly a shocker."
