Universe 12
Pan awoke to arguing between her mother to the prince who was cuddling her almost. Her eyes slipped open and she glanced around only to come into contact with whatever was causing the argument. Her tail. She screamed and pretended to be frightened of it even chasing it slightly as if to confirm it was hers. She needn't worry as her mom stared into her
scared eyes and rocked her silently Not all the fear was fake. This was the first time her tail had become visible at all even to her mother it would have looked like she had sprung a tail
from nothing. Maybe I can get it to work for me?
"Why do I have a tail?" she asked with as much surprise as she could. In her case it was loads as she was still disoriented from her trip back to her body. She tried to stand but wavered back and forth like a drunk imitating a new tail.
Strong arms caught her before she face planted and she met the Prince's sparkling black eyes with her own plain black ones. "Easy, you haven't walked with a tail before. You're going to be off center of gravity for a few minutes," he said as he held her waist. She blushed and nodded slowly taking step by step with him.
He faced Videl. "You wouldn't happen to have a mate would you?" he asked.
Videl fidgeted. "Yes. Admiral Son Gohan. I have another child as well. Son Gomen Pan's twin. He is in the elite academy."
The Prince smiled. "Yes my sister admires him. He is adequate in training."
Videl smiled. Her children weren't adequate in anything but let the empire think that.
"Well, I'll alert your mate and father of the new saiyan," he said as he lead Pan to her mother with a gentle push. Videl just smiled but Inwardly cursng their fates. Pan was alone with her to learn from her people's power as she had showed aptitude for it right away including hiding her tail like herself. Now her near death had caused her
camouflaging to fail she supposed it was time to go back.
"Momma, what are we going to do?" whispered Pan.
Videl sighed. "It's time you met your father and brother anyway. It was your next step. Pan, you realize this means that you must keep low key on the magic and the fighting, yes?"
Pan sighed and nodded her head. "I know. Will...Does father even want me?" she questioned.
Videl hugged her closer to her. "Of course! He did not split with his mate and daughter without providing for us and protecting us. He has even come to see us various times even if you don't remember him doing so. Your brother we kept apart because we couldn't let a twin bond form between you two. Both of you are the only twins in Vegita sei at the moment and I didn't want you two becoming sick experiments."
Pan nodded and sighed letting the illusion of a pure brown tail falter momentarily. She groaned and raised it up again. It took more mind ability and control than simply dsappearing her tail. She let it wrap around her waist like a furry belt.
Videl turned to her. And took her face in hand. "Listen well Pan. No one can find out about your silver streaked tail. Gomen dyes his as will you every day especially the tip."
Pan straightened in her arms unsure of her wasn't long until the king himself was looking over Pan and Videl with a curious stare. "You two were recorded dead in the seige and now it comes to my attention that your daughter is indeed saiyan and not human?"
Videl curtseyed as she had yet to gain rank. "My liege. It grew back after she was given for dead. Your son was there. It simply grew out her back as if she had always had one," she said holding to a stiff Pan who nodded and tried to get the wagging thing under control. Of course it was all a ploy cause she had the tail when she was born somehow invisible making her be marked human but Videl knew she was not the minute she felt the hairy protrusion wrap around her wrist.
"Admiral Gohan has been called he should be here soonish," said the king. The doors to the main hall opened and a tall man with spiky black hair and wearing Saiyan armour along with a younger male that could have been his twin except for key features like his eyes. They were the same color as Pan's and his nose was all Videl's and a match for Pan. He stopped and stared at her for a few seconds before turning to Videl, anger in his eyes. "Where were you when I really needed a mother?" he scoffed before turning to Pan and smirking. "You can't even fly is what I heard. Can you even fight?"
Pan stood immobile and he scoffed rotating on his heel and leaving the room
We are twins are we not? Can't you teach me how to fly, brother?
He whirled around glaring at her, fists clenched. "You don't get that right just because you are related to me!" he snarled before running off leaving a confused Pan behind.
"Excuse him. He was already signaled out once today by the Ginu force," said Gohan as he led them down a lavish mauve hall to an electronic door. It was voice activated. Inside was a lavish compartment of three rooms a bathroom, a kitchen and living space all bordered by windows. The living space was clear glass and she could see a large white building close to them.
"That's the academy. You'll be joining Gomen's class starting in a few days. You have that long to catch up to your classmates in skills," said Gohan as he led them to their rooms. Hers was a deep purple with white trimming. It had the normal bed and desk in the corner but an empty shelf occupied space and on top of the desk was some new materials for school as well as Vegita sei through the ages. A textbook? hmm I thought he just meant the other stuff like flying and ki blasting? Interesting
A smack rang through the compartments and Pan winced. Her mother was pretty harsh with those. She went to look into her closet finding only red spandax suits with Gohan's sign on them. The sun balancing over a turtle. What a strange sign.
The front door slid open and Gomen slipped inside. She stared at him not knowing what to say. This was her twin after all. "Um, hello. I"m Pan," she said smiling.
He quirked a brow. "And you didn't tell me this before because"
She sighed. "It's been a long day. I was killed, suddenly revived only to grow a tail and be prostrated before the King for my first time and find out I have a twin and a father. Sorry I wasn't so eloquent and verbose when we first met."
Gomen huffed. "Guess I wasn't exactly welcoming either but I also found out I had a mother who had been missing my life on purpose to care for a suddenly not so human sibling. I was furious. I thought I had been left behind yet again."
Pan nodded. "Truce?" she asked sticking her thumb out.
Gomen nodded and met her thumb with his. "Truce.
"Can you teach me to fly tomorrow? I have to get caught up since I'll be in your class," she said.
Gomen's eyebrows rose. "You really don't know how to fly or shoot ki blasts?" he asked.
"I can do something different which is why momma took me away. I had no control over it. You do. Do you want to learn how to use it too?"
"IT couldn't hurt but will it impede my saiyan abilities?
Pan smirked. "It enhances them if you know how and when to use it."
Gomen grinned. "Cool then sure!"
"We need to find out your element first! Come on!" she cried leading him into her room and taking out a piece of chalk and a pendulum. It was a quartz one that glowed eerily. "Now sit still and let the pendulum swing. The direction is your element. If its in between then your element . That means you have two basic elements but your main is your sub which you won't learn until you learn the two or three main ones."
Gomen sat in the circle unsure but nodding to her every word. Pan chuckled and held the pedulum still before saying one word. Choice.
Gomen saw the Pendulum sway back and forth pointing this way and that then it began to pull in a direction. Then another and another before shining as bright as a star.
Pan stared amazed and Gomen sat impatiently. "What did that rock do?" he finally asked.
Pan smiled. "You can control light along with a bit of water and wind. Since light takes it's source from heat, that means the primary element you have to learn is fire"
Gomen seemed unsure of this until the shadows around him came alive.
He jumped. What the spooky hell?
Pan laughed and let the shadows dance across her fingers. "This is my element. Shadows. My base was water. We are opposites but momma said it was possible for me to learn light so it might be possible for you to learn shadows."
"Ui creepy, No. Thanks but no. I'll stick to light." said Gomen as the shadows stopped moving and groaning around him.
Pan smiled and stood. "Have it your way. We start conjuring fire as soon as I learn to throw ki blasts," she said as he ran past. He couldn't leave that room fast enough.
