At the Owl House…
Jerbo, Viney, and Barcus were getting ready as a cake was made, a card was set, and a book of magic was wrapped.
This was to be an apology for hurting Luz and even though she forgave them, they didn't and neither did her friends.
Earlier at the School…
Everyone cheered for Bump as it was proven that multitrack and multi-coven were possible as Belos tried to calm down the children.
"Alright, alright. Now, we shall do things one step at a time. So far, it will only be two Covens so far and we will track your magic stimulation throughout your studies, see how it shall come along. If anyone has any questions, please speak with the scouts or your teachers. I will need to return to the palace and begin with this new concept of magic." Belos informed the children, having experience with how to speak and handle children since he raised many himself.
Everyone was excited and it was all thanks to Luz…
In the Hallways…
The trio looked sad as they watched Luz talk excitedly with her other friends, she was so happy…
She was a good friend, a sweet girl, but…
"Okay, we have to do this. Rip the bandage, we have to do this! No matter… no matter how much it hurts. We know too much." Viney sighed as it hurt to think about it.
"Besides, a girl like her deserves better than a bunch of misfits…" Jerbo teared up a bit.
"Whimper…" 'We'll do this for her too.' Barcus whimpered with his ears tucked.
Luz then spotted her new friends and dragged the other two to them. This was going to hurt.
"Guys, guys, these are the awesome pair I told you about, the ones who let me see the new classes!" Luz excitedly told them as the two, "We can all start a new group! Maybe-maybe prove that multitrack isn't dangerous! Or that we could wear more than one sigil, join more than one Coven, or none at all!"
This… was going to hurt so bad.
Rip the bandage off!
Rip… that sweet, colorful little bandage off….
"Luz, look, we-we don't want to hang out with you anymore." Jerbo gulped, choking on his emotions.
"What?" Luz uttered as Willow and Gus were not happy.
"Listen, a half-witch like you-you… You'll slow us down. So… go." Viney cruelly told her.
"Guys-…"
"BARK!" 'GO!' Barcus demanded.
Luz was heartbroken and Gus and Willow were close to destroying them.
"Who do you think you are?" Willow growled as she was about to summon her vines and Gus was going to put them in a world of mental pain.
"Guys, it's okay. Let's go." Luz spoke in a defeated tone, beginning to walk away.
The two followed her, trying to give comfort.
"We-sniff-we did the right thing." Viney sniffed tears in her eyes.
"Y-yeah. She'll be fine without us." Jerbo sobbed.
"Whimper…" 'I'll miss her…'
At the Miscellaneous Track Classroom…
Viney, Jerbo, and Barcus slammed the door as the Basilisk was on a rampage!
It was heading its way as the creature smelled Luz's scent from that place and would devour anything in that room.
"Hey, over here!" Luz screamed as she threw a rock at it, causing it to growl, "You want me, c-come and get me!"
The monster growled as Luz led her away from the classroom, while the three of them watched. They then turned around, when Willow appeared from a secret passage.
"Luz found the exit out. You guys need to get out of here and warn the scouts." Willow coldly informed them.
"B-but what about her?"
"She's going to try to stop it and Gus, and I plan to help her. Besides, why do you care about a half-witch? She's not your friend."
Willow then left the group with a chilling aura.
In a dead end of a hallway…
Luz was trapped and her friends were out of magic.
"No more tricks, no more friends, no more games. Looks like, in the end, I get my revenge on your father for keeping us away from the outside world." She sneered.
"I can see why."
GROWL!
She lunged, but a pair of hands from above grabbed Luz and pulled her up, causing the creature to crash into the wall!
"WHERE ARE YOU! WHERE ARE YOU! I'LL TEAR YOUR INSIDES OUT AND SHOW THEM TO YOU WHILE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE!"
Luz was breathing hard as she sees the trio before her.
"Guys, you saved me."
"Of course, we would!" Jerbo assured her.
"But… I thought you hated a half-witch like me…" Luz uttered with sadness in her voice.
"Bark! Bark!" 'We lied. We lied because-because we know we were out of your league as the princess!'
"You guys know?" Luz gasped.
"Yeah… We just thought a princess like you shouldn't have to settle for peasants and we didn't want to get you into trouble with your dad." Viney admitted.
"We're sorry."
Luz then hugged the group as they hugged her back.
"So… how did you know she was a fake?" Viney wondered as they were still hugging.
"When a member of the Emperor's Coven or anyone in the higher ranks of their Coven introduces themselves, they have to give their name, the Coven, their rank, and their occupation. She only said she was an inspector, which was really informal."
"Nice. So, what should we do?" Jerbo wondered.
"When I was going through the tunnels, I was able to find these." Luz presented as she twisted a pipe, revealing a large supply of weapons.
"Bark!" 'Now we need a plan.'
In the Auditorium…
The Basilisk waited for the princess with all her friends and the principal held hostage, still drained with magic.
She knew that the princess would come for her friends, just like her father, she cannot defy their heart's wishes and their desire to protect them. The brat will come, and she will die.
"Luzura… Where are you? Better come out before I start swallowing your friends' whole." She threatened in a mockingly friendly tone.
"Here I am." Luz grinned as she walked down the path.
"No… Luz… Run…" Amity pleaded.
"But she won't… because she's a good little princess. A noble brat like her father."
"You seem to have a lot of baggage against my dad."
"You could never understand. The other basilisks were content staying in that exhibit, hidden away from the rest of the world, pampered, and studied. But there were few who wanted out. I want to be the me I was destined to be."
"A monster who hurts others?"
"Right. Now, to solidify my freedom, I will tear apart my captor's flesh and blood."
"Why do this? Why not just give back the magic and find better-."
"DON'T YOU DARE! YOU SOUND JUST LIKE HIM! YOU ARE HIM! YOU ARE HIM! POISON! POISON!" She howled as she launched at Luz.
But Luz was ready, afraid but ready.
"Now!"
The griffin grabbed up Luz as she and Viney used Light Magic to blind the basilisk! Luz barely got out with a scratch to the shoulder, but they needed to get the work done. Jerbo used his abomination and plant solution to cause her to slip and get tangled up in vines. Then finally came Barcus who predicted her future.
"W-what did he say?" She shivered.
"He said, your future looks bleak, your plans fall apart, and you'll be aching for a month after being taken back," Luz answered as they cut down the giant box, crushing her stomach and forcing all the magic to come out!
It was not long before the emperor's scouts arrived with the emperor himself in front. Then things really began to change.
Nurses Office after the test…
The students and the teachers watched from the windows as they waited for the results of Bump adding one more Sigil to himself.
They looked over his compatibility and find Construction Coven seemed to suit him as well and they begin the process, looking over his vitals and Bile Sack's health. Luz, on the other hand, was under a different type of test as a vial of blood was taken, her brain was scanned, and her soul was analyzed.
The scout came out with results for Bump, everyone waited in anticipation.
"The experiment… was a success. Multi-coven and Multitrack are possible."
They all cheered as they were thrilled with this new development.
When Bump came out, he showed what his new magic could do, creating an Abomination with stone armor. Everyone cheered with this new form.
"Emperor Belos, this changes everything. The possibilities would be endless. If this way is proven true-." Kikimora marveled.
"We take things one step at a time. This is still new territory but, with each step, we can see what this can really do and what to expect." Belos informed.
After the fiasco…
As the trio was waiting for their buddy to wake up, they were soon pulled by vines and staring at Luz's two angry friends.
"Listen, we know why you did what you did to Luz. You didn't want to get her in trouble after finding out who her dad is. You wanted to keep her secret safe." Willow sneered at them, "Yeah, we know. It wasn't hard to find out. But we are going to wait to tell Luz when she's ready. Because we are her friends."
"So, we are only telling you once… hurt her again and prepare for a world of hurt." Gus threatened, shocking for someone his age could be so menacing.
"Got it?"
"Yep." They all squeaked.
"Good."
…
After that, they were soon pulled by another, the Swan Palisman to Emperor Belos, Blueberry Parfait.
Not good.
"Found out our little secret, have we?" She questioned them.
"P-please-."
"And I see you were trying to protect Luz but went about it the wrong way. But since you helped her with Alabaster, I will warn you once. Tell anyone before coronation and I will have to end you and anyone you tell. Oh, and be certain you make up with Luz, her father was rather not pleased with how you hurt her. Understood?"
They all nodded.
"Good."
…
Then after school came Amity with her Abominations, capturing them.
"Listen up, that girl may be weird, she may have come from a weird family, heck maybe everything about her was weird but she's a good person. If you hurt her again, I will make your lives miserable." Amity growled as they nodded.
"Good."
Oof that was a rough day.
But… maybe it's what they needed. They got ready as they rang the door and the sweet girl let them in. They were going to give her a proper apology if it killed them.
