20 days later.

Rajveer and Naina's wedding was a huge affair. After learning about Lala's death, everyone was much, much more relaxed. While rest of them planned the wedding, Arnav helped Rajveer plan the proposal which was a huge hit. He gave Rajveer access to his helicopter and helped him set up a dinner date at Point 1857. When they returned, Rajveer and Naina had huge smiles on their faces and Naina had a ring on her finger.

Khushi was crazy with happiness. She danced through 10 songs back to back during the Sangeet. She even got Arnav to dance with her in three songs. She had 'Raina' written in her hand during the Mehendi function to celebrate their love. Her smile wouldn't lessen for anything as she tied the knots for her parents. Arnav had to spend hours pacifying her when it was time for Naina's bidaai. It was the first time a daughter was giving her mother bidaai with her own father.

Super six got posted in the Delhi headquarter to capture rest of Eagle's members. Rajveer was given his lost rank back along with every thing else. He was promoted and posted as the leader of group of this investigation. Naina decided she wanted to lead a calm life now. Since she would have to go with Rajveer wherever he would get posted, she decided to start working with an NGO for abused women and children. This NGO had offices all over India.

Since Raina were scheduled to shift to their own bungalow next week, Rajveer wanted to spend alone time with his daughter. He wanted to know everything about his only child. After looking around the whole mansion, he was told that Khushi liked to spend time on the terrace. He found Khushi sitting on the rooftop floor, her head tilted upwards with a serene smile on her face.

"Mind if I join you?" Rajveer asked as he approached his daughter.

Khushi turned her head to look at him with a smile. "Hume bohot achha lagega agar aap humare saath baithenge to." [I would love it if you sit with me for a while.] she told him. "Pehle case aur fir shaadi ki bhag daur me hum dono ko mauka hi nahi mila thikse waqt bitane ka." she remarked with a pout. [We didn't get to spend enough time together due to the case and wedding arrangements.]

"I agree. I also had been looking forward to spend time with you... I wanted to get to know my daughter. My little lioness!" he told her affectionately as he sat beside her. "Yaha akeli kya kar rahi ho?" [Why are you sitting here alone?] he asked, wrapping his arms around his knees.

"Devi maiya ko thank you bol rahi thi. Even though she took her time, but at the end, she helped me fix everything." [I was thanking my goddess.] Khushi told him with a smile. "Apko pata hai, papa, she's my best friend. Haa, kabhi kabhi hum inn se ruth jate hai but we always make up." she shared. [You know I consider her my best friend. Yes, I do get angry with her sometimes, but we always make up.]

Rajveer smiled at his daughter's deep faith in her God. "Tell me about you, beta. Tell me everything. Main sab janna chahta hu tumhare bareme. I'm sorry... I'm sorry that I wasn't there with you. I know I can't give you back your childhood, but I promise to be by your side for the rest of my life." he told her fiercely. [I want to know everything.]

Khushi took his hand and gave him a reassuring smile. "I had a good life, Papa. Babuji was the best father growing up. He never treated me like I wasn't his own daughter. Amma scolded me and pampered me when I needed. Jiji was there for me whenever I needed her like a pillar of strength. Aur Buaji was always there to reign me in whenever I would do some mischief. Please don't feel bad. I had good life. But never think for a second that I didn't miss you. I missed you and needed you. So, I got you back... by hook and crook. It wasn't even a choice." Khushi told him firmly.

"You should know... if I had known about you, I would've torn this world apart just to get to you. I love you, beta." Rajveer said to his daughter.

Khushi beamed at her father. "I love you too, papa." she replied. Then, she started sharing her childhood stories and memories. At one point, she became so excited to tell him about the pranks she had pulled on Buaji that she jumped up and started pacing around the terrace. Rajveer listen to her every words carefully and with a wide smile on his face. He was feeling like he was living through these stories himself.

"Khushi, tum aur Arnav kaise mile? How did your love story started?" he asked. [How did you and Arnav meet?

Khushi blushed. "Kyu, papa?" she asked, shyly. [Why, papa?]

Rajveer smirked, "Beta, along with my love story, you even know how and when you were conceived. Don't you think I deserve to at least know how you and my son-in-law's love story started?" he told her wryly.

Sighing, she sat down beside her father. "It's not a pretty story. Iss kahani ki shuruwat bohot khi kharap thi. I never even imagined that we would end up here... so in love with each other." she told him with a sigh. [This story had an ugly start.]

"Tell me." Rajveer pleaded, bumping his shoulder with hers.

"I will tell you but please remember that everything is forgotten and forgiven." Khushi told her father. At his nod, she started, "Ye kahani shuru huyi aaj se kuch saath aath saal pehle. Jiji ki shaadi hone wali thi uss raat. Everything was ready when the groom's family demanded 25 lac for dowry." [This story started some 7/8 years ago. Payal was about to get married. Everything was ready when the groom's parents asked demanded 25 lac for dowry.] she continued Arshi's disastrous first meeting. Rajveer kept his face blank as he heard how Arnav had tortured his daughter and how his daughter took her revenge through her pranks. She told him about Shyam, the blackmail, Lavanya, about that cursed Diwali night, her engagement and everything till Payal's engagement. "Agle din humara biswi janam din tha. Uss raat ko babuji aur amma ne hume wo wooden box diya jisme..." [The next day was my twentieth birthday. That night Babuji and amma gave me mom's box that held...] Kushi trailed off with a gasp. "Hum abhi aye." [I'll just be back.] saying so, she ran off somewhere.

Rajveer started thinking about his daughter. Didn't he also break Naina's heart by ignoring her and behaving rudely with her when he first realized his feelings for her after the mentorship program? It was like history repeated itself in some parts of his daughter's life. Rajveer knew he needed to have a heart to heart with Arnav to get his side of the story. Only then would Rajveer be able to understand why Arnav did some of the things he did. Because the man loved Khushi to the moon and back and would do anything to make her happy. Rajveer wondered what was stopping Arnav at the beginning.

Khushi returned with an excited smile on her face. She was carrying a wooden box in her hands. She sat in front of her father and placed the box on the floor. "This is the box maa had left for me. Isme unki journal, aap sabki bohot sare photos, aur apki ghari hai." [This box held mom's journal, a lot photos of everyone, Alekh uncle's taweez, and your wrist watch.] she told him as she proceeded to open the box. She showed him each item with reverence. When she picked up the wrist watch, Rajveer gasped. He had gifted Naina this right before everything went down hill. "Jab humne pehli bar ye wrist watch uthaya tha na... I felt connected to you." Khushi told him with tears in her eyes. [When I first picked up this wrist watch, I felt connected to you.]

Unable to watch his daughter cry, Rajveer moved the box and hugged his little girl. "I love you, beta."

Over the next few hours, Khushi told him how she ended up meeting Alekh, and then, marrying Arnav. She told him excitedly about how they all planned for their rescue. Rajveer felt proud of his daughter that even without being with him, his strategic brain had gotten in her. She had thought of many small details that even Rajveer himself would've ignore. When asked, Khushi replied that after dealing with ASR's arrogance, she felt like she was trained to deal with all kinds of arrogant males. Her statement made Rajveer laugh.

After a few silent moment, Rajveer demanded, "Tell me a secret that nobody knows."

Khushi looked down, blushing. Her reaction intrigued her father. He peeked at her and raised his eyebrow in question. Blushing harder, she told him, "Humne abhi tak kisi ko bataya nahi... Arnavji ko bhi nahi... Papa, hum maa banne wale hi." [I didn't tell anyone yet... not even Arnav... Papa, I'm pregnant.]

Rajveer's gasp in surprised echoed throughout the terrace. "Sach?!" he asked. [Really?]

Khushi nodded. "Haa, papa. Aap nana banne wale hai!" [Yes, papa. You're going to be a grandpa!]

"YES!" Rajveer fist pumped excitedly before he pulled his daughter in a tight hug. "Congrats , bachcha! That's an amazing news! When did you got to know?" he asked.

"Kaal subha hi pata chala. Doctor ne kaha ki Third week chal raha hai." Khushi told him with a shy smile. [I learn about it yesterday morning. The doctor said it's only the third week.]

Rajveer had a HUGE smile on his face. He felt like his heart would burst from happiness. "Ask me for anything you want. I promise to give you." he told his daughter.

At his promise, Khushi stared at him with a thoughtful look in her face. "I want to go to KMA." she said after a few minutes.

At her demand, Rajveer stared at her wide eyes. He hadn't expected her to ask for this. "KMA kyu, beta?" he asked. [Why KMA?]

2 Days later.

"NO! NO Fucking WAY!" Arnav shouted angrily with his hands on his hips.

"Don't be an idiot, Arnavji!" Khushi scolded as rest of their family watched them arguing, silently, "Hum waha army training lene thori jaa rahe hai? Hum to waha par formal paper work ke liye aur papa ki chizo ko wapas lane jaa rahe hai." she told him. [I'm not going there to take army training. I'm going there for some paper work and to get papa's stuff back.]

"Khushi, I agree with Arnav. I don't think either you or your papa needs to go to that cursed academy. That place only knows how to snatch our family's happiness." Naina told her daughter.

Her statement made both Khushi and Rajveer roll their eyes. "Kya, Maa, aap bhi? Cursed? Really?!" [Mom, you too?] Khushi snickered before she sat down beside her mother and wrapped her arms around Naina's shoulders. "Humare saath humare devi maiya bhi honge. Humari raksha karne ke liye." she assured. [My goddess will be with me to protect me.]

"Naina! Arnav! We're not going their to fight a war, you know." Rajveer pointed out with an amused smirk on his face.

"Hello Hi Bye Bye! Vy don't you two going vith Khushi bitya aur Rajveer bhai sahab?" Manorama suggested, shaking her head.

"Manorama, sahi kahat rahi hai. Ek kaam karo aap charo saath hi jao." Nani told them. [Manorama is right. Why don't the four of you go there together?]

Arnav sulked. "I can't. Fashion show me bas ek his hafta baki hai. I can't leave now." he shared, pouting. [The fashion show is one week away.]

"Arnavji, I could go with my parents, you know. They would look after me and take care of me." Khushi told him with a kind smile.

Arnav gave her a sour look before glancing at her stomach. She had told him last night about her pregnancy. They still hadn't shared this news with their family though. "I know they would look after you. But not as much as I will." he told her scowling. His statement and over protectiveness brought amused smiles from everyone.

Anjali gave her brother a suspicious look. Her brother was extra overprotective of her bhabhi since this morning. "Chhote? Koi baat hai kya? Tum Khushiji ko leke aaj kuch jyada hi overprotective nahi ho rahe ho?" [Arnav, what's going on? Aren't you being a little too protective about Khushi today?] she asked with a teasing smile.

Arnav's head snapped up and he stared at his older sister wide eyed. "N-Nahi to... I was just worried." he shrugged as his cheeks started turnign red.

Seeing him react like that, Nani asked with an amused smile, "Chhote, aap sharma kyu rahe hai? Anjali bitiya ne aisa bhi kya puchh liya aapse?" [Arnav, why are you blushing?]

Khushi giggled. "Naniji, Anjali ji, tarasal... hum maa banne wale hai. Isiliye Arnavji overprotective papa mode pe chale gaye hai." she told them with a mischievous smile. [Actually, I'm pregnant. That's why Arnav is in overprotective papa mode.]

Everyone burst into cheers at the news. Their family had been waiting for this news eagerly all these years. Finally, it was happening. Their excitements knew no bounds.

"So it's final? You're not going?" Arnav asked interrupting everyone's celebration.

"No, my sweet son-in-law. That means she's going and she'll have TWO overprotective parents with her to take care of her." Naina told him patting him on his cheek with an amused smile.

"Kya, maa?! Aap to at least mera saath do!" Arnav whined. [Mom, at least you should take my side!]

"No can do, my child." Naina replied playfully as Khushi continued getting hugs by everyone.

Kanchanjunga Military academy was situated in Ambala, Hariyana. As their car crossed the threshold of the academy, Khushi realized that inside these borders resided another world completely different from hers. She watched with child like fascination as the driver drove them towards the main building. She eyes stayed glued to the group of men and women marching past their car in perfect synchronization. She still had a hard time believing that for her parents all these was completely normal. Her eyes fell on a large board where the motto of KMA was written in gold; Strength and Honor.

Her father's hand on her shoulder brought Khushi out of her la la land. She turned towards her father with a smile on her face. "This place is beyond anything I imagined." she told her parents.

Rajveer smiled at her patiently as he patted her head before turning to look at his wife. Naina had a frown on her face. A strange kind of nervousness and fear was visible on her face. Rajveer took her hand and asked, "Aaj meri Naina Ah. Singh itni darri huyi kyu dikh rahi hai?" [Why does my Naina Ah. Singh look scared today?]

"Jab bhi mere koi apna iss academy me aya hai uske saath kuch na kuch galat huya hai. I'm scared." Nain whispered as she stared at the entrance. [Whenever one of my loved ones came to this academy, something wrong happened to them.]

"Maa... Aisa kuch nahi hoga. I promise." [Nothing like that will happen this time.] Khushi told her mother as she took her hand. "Now, be my brave Phoolan maa and LET'S GO!" Khushi urged her bouncing on her seat.

"Phoolan mat bulao mujhe, Khushi! Aur aise bounce matt karo. Please try to remember that you're pregnant." [Don't call me Phoolan. and stop bouncing like that!] Naina scolded her daughter affectionately.

"Okay, fine. Chalo na, maa." Khushi whined.

Rolling her eyes, Naina nodded. Smiling, Rajveer got out of the car and opened Naina's side of the door. Once she was out, he held out his hand for his daughter with a smile. "Chal meri sherni." he stated with a wink. [Let's go, my lioness!]

Grinning, Khushi got out of the car. While Rajveer was in his formal Army uniform and Naina was in a printed red chiffon saree, Khushi wore an orange full sleeve knitted t-shirt with a black midi leather skirt and black cuff length boots. Since she was here as Rajveer's lawyer, Khushi took the lead and headed inside. Both Rajveer and Naina stopped in front of the amar jawan jyot and saluted. Khushi turned and was surprised to see her parents in soldier mode. She smiled as in that moment she realized that you can take a man out of the soldier, but you could never take the soldier out of the man.

She left them and walked up to the wall of fame. She could see the photo of Captain Naveen Singh Ahluwalia was put up again on the wall. She was staring at the photo when KMA's principal/Commandant officer, General Chandok arrived.

"Kya main jaan sakta hu ke aap kaun hai aur yaha kya kar rahe hai?" he asked the young female. [Can I know who are you and what are you doing here?]

He had been awaiting for his former students who he had failed in the past ever since it was revealed that Captain Rajveer was trapped, just like Captain Naveen before him. GC had put up Naveen's photo and knew some day Rajveer would return to take his things back. He wanted to apologize for not believing in his student back then. He also had a lot of apologizing to do from Naina Singh Ahluwalia. He had failed her as well. So, while GC was prepared for his former students, he was not prepared for a pretty, young lady to be standing in front of wall of Fame. GC had also noticed that she had been staring at Captain Naveen's photo frame.

Khushi turned towards him with a bright smile on her face. "Hello, sir. I'm Advocate Khushi Singh Raizada." she introduced herself as she shook hands with GC. "I'm handling Lt. Col. Rajveer's case." she added just as Rajveer and Naina reached them.

Raina saluted General Chandok. GC smiled seeing them together. "At ease, officers." he said.

"I'm not an officer, sir. I'm an officer's wife." Naina told him, sternly. She still held onto the bitterness of that court case that ruined everything.

GC had a guilty look on his face at her statement. "I wish had enough words to express how sorry I am, Cadet Singh... ah... wait... officer's wife?" GC finally caught that part.

"We recently got married." Rajveer informed with a proud smile on his face.

GC smiled. "Congrats!" he said. "Captain Rajveer..." he started but he was interrupted by the young advocate.

"Lt. Col. Shikhawat. He's not a Captain anymore." she told him politely.

GC had expected this reaction from Naina as she had been and will always be Rajveer's protégé, his love, and now his wife. GC couldn't understand why this girl was being protective of Rajveer like that though.

"Can we please go to your office so that we can complete the formalities first? Then you can reconnect on personal level?" Khushi suggested with a pretty smile.

"Yes, of course."

"So, you're the advocate who reopened Captain Naveen's case? Unbelievable! How did you manage to gather the courage to take up THIS particular case as the opening case of your career?" GC asked.

They had already finished all the official formalities. Now, they were exchanging information of what happened since Rajveer and his cadets had ran away. GC was really impressed by Khushi when he learned that she was the one who got rid of Lala Gehlot, the traitor.

Khushi smiled at GC. "Jang jitne ke liye humare paas waza bhi thi aur aur ek kabil fauj bhi. To ye jang to hume jitna hi tha. By hook or crook." she stated with a mysterious smile. [To win this war, I had a motive and an capable army. So it was natural for me to win.]

GC stared at her wide eyed as he realized that there was something more behind her statement. "Kya matlab?" he asked. [What do you mean?]

"Sir, Khushi, meri aur Naina ki beti hai." Rajveer told GC with a proud smile. [Sir, Khushi is our daughter.]

"Wait... what?!" General Chandok was stunned. He looked between Naina's blushing face, Rajveer proud smile, and Khushi's giggling one with bewilderment. "You broke academy rules while you were posted here?! You had an affair with your student?!" he scowled darkly at Rajveer.

Khushi burst into hysterics as Rajveer's smile dropped and cheeks turned red. "N-NO.. Sir.., it was an accident... no I mean... we knew what we were doing... what am I saying..." he started stammering. Naina, already embarrassed by what he blurted out, elbowed him hard in his gut.

"He was an OSD... Officer on Special Duty. So, academy rules didn't apply on him." she told GC with a red face.

"He was still you teacher, Cadet Singh." GC reminded her with that remark that while the rules didn't apply on Rajveer, it did apply on her.

By then, Khushi was literally cackling. She had her arms wrapped around her stomach as her tummy was hurting from too much laughing. She wanted to stop, but Rajveer and Naina's embarrassed faces were too much for her to handle.

GC turned to Khushi and smirked. "I think you're having too much fun on your parents' behalf. Come with me. I will show you around the academy while these two reminiscences about the past. I have tons to tell you about your uncle Naveen and your father's antics during their academy days. Even your mom was no less. Come," he stood up and offered his arm. Still snickering, Khushi got up and they walked out of the room.

"Trust me, beta. Tumhare papa Naveen ke saath reh reh kar bilkul bigar gaya tha. He was a honest and innocent boy when he first arrived to the academy. But then he got Naveen as his roommate. Naveen was a number one flirt and a master prankster. I'm telling you he turned your father into a prankster like him. There was NO faculty member left on whom they didn't play a prank on. Though Rajveer never flirted with any females. But I'm sure if Naveen knew that Rajveer would be applying his teachings on his own sister, he might've refrained from teaching Rajveer." GC shared laughing.

Khushi was giggling as well. GC was showing her the academy and telling her which places he caught her father, mother, uncles, and aunts playing pranks or breaking some kind of rule.

"Thank you, General sir, for sharing all these with me. Since I was away from them and they don't share their misdemeanors with me, you made my day by revealing their secrets.' I'll always be grateful." Khushi told him with a happy smile on her face.

"It's been a pleasure. I will always feel guilty for not supporting my two favorite students. I wish..." he sighed sadly, "I wish I believe on them when they both were pleading me to believe that they were innocent." GC had tears in his eyes.

Khushi squeezed his arm in silent support. "It's okay. As my husband says, Shit happens. Just move on, Damn it!" she told him with a smirk.

"That's right. You're married. Tell me about this guy who dared to marry my favorite student's daughter without even asking for my permission." GC ordered.

Khushi laughed. "Oh he would just LOVE to be questioned by you. It was really funny to watch him squirm when Alekh mamaji and Shalini mami threatened him. My Arnavji a stoic person but I could clearly see the nervousness in his eyes that day." she shared making GC laugh.

"Tell me more. What does he do.." They started walking again as Khushi boasted about her husband.

"How angry do you think he is?" Naina asked worriedly.

"Um... does it matter? He can't do anything now." Rajveer pointed out with a smirk.

Naina pushed him. "You're too much. And what were you saying to him? Are you crazy?!" she scowled at him.

"Sorry. So much time has gone by, but he still makes me nervous." Rajveer told her sheepishly.

"No, he doesn't. Remember you used to stand against him for me." Naina pointed out.

"Yeah... for you. For you, I would've torn this world apart, Naina. For you, I would've challenged the prime minister himself. It's when things come to me, that I get nervous. At first because I was alone in this world and I use to worry that there won't be anyone to give fire to my dead body. Then, Naveen came, you, my super six, and then Khushi and Arnav. Slowly, my world has grown. I will fight for my family without any fear. It's when I have to fight for me that I get nervous." he explained.

"Don't say things like that. You have to fight for yourself too. You're important to all of us. We all need you. I need you... our daughter needs you. Don't say stuff like that." Naina scolded him.

Rajveer smiled at her affectionately. Tucking her hair behind her ears, he leaned in and placed his lips on hers. Naina sighed in pleasure as he sucked on her lower lips. Dragging her closer by her waist, Rajveer deepened the kiss. After a while, they moved back, breathing hard. Then, he suddenly started laughing.

Pulling back, Naina raised her eyebrow at him. "What?" she asked, mildly offended.

"Naveen would've been so jealous if he knew that I kissed a girl in BC's cabin." Rajveer told her with a huge grin. "It was his DREAM!" he added with a laugh.

Naina giggled. "You're too much. He wouldn't have been jealous. As you kissed his sister." she pointed out with a smirk.

Rajveer smirked. "It would've been worth it." he told her.

They walked out of GC's cabin and started walking through the ground, remembering their past. For the next three hours, they spent recollecting their good memories. They ended up in the mess where GC and Khushi were still sharing stories. Suriji also joined them to share when he learned that it was Raina's daughter. Grinning, Rajveer and Naina also joined them. They were hugged and greeted with joy by Suriji. He was super happy to know that they were married.

After staying in KMA for another 3 hours, they headed out. On their way to Delhi, Khushi handed Naina a bottle of juice. Without thinking much about it, Naina drank it. She didn't notice the look the father- daughter exchanged. Naina started feeling drowsy soon after and fell into deep sleep. Sighing in relief, Rajveer ordered the driver to head for the next destination.

Naina didn't know how long she was asleep for, but when she woke up, she felt like she had been sleeping for hours. She looked out through the window and saw that they were still on the road. She turned to her right and saw that her daughter was sleeping. On her left, Rajveer was also snoozing. She poked on his shoulder and he was startled awake.

"Hey, how was your nap?" He asked her with a smile on his face.

"I feel like I have been sleeping for a long time. Why aren't we in Delhi yet? How long have I been sleeping?" She asked confused.

Rajveer had a sheepish expression on his face. "We aren't going to Delhi... we are about to reach Nainital in a few minutes." He told her.

"N-Nainital? But why Rajveer?" She asked even if she knew the answer.

Rajveer smiled at her sadly. "I think your parents deserve to know that their daughter finally got married and she is safe and sound and alive... and don't you think Khushi also deserves to meet her grandparents? After Naveen, we are the only family they have left." He told her kindly.

"They kicked me out of the house when I needed them the most!" Naina complaint.

"Yes, they did... but don't you understand where they were coming from now that you are a parent? They had already endured a lot because of Naveen's case. If people knew that their daughter was giving birth to a child out of wedlock, do you think they would have been able to endure that as well?" He tried to to explain to his stubborn wife.

Naina looked away but stayed silent. Realizing a victory, Rajveer shook Khushi's shoulder to wake her up. Khushi blinked at her father sleepily and asked, "Are we there yet?" as she stretched her arms.

"In a few minutes. Come on, wake up, sleepy head." Rajveer said ruffling her hair.

"Don't ruin my hair, papa! I don't want to meet my grand parents with messy hair." She grumbled as she started running her fingers through her hair.

Fifteen minutes later, they were in front of a familiar house. Naina stared up but didn't move. Rajveer was waiting for her to make a move. He opened his mouth but was interrupted by Khushi who walked up to the house boldly as she announced, "I'm ringing the bell!"

"Couldn't you wait for a few more minutes? Your maa should be the one knocking on that door." Rajveer called out.

"I'm hungry, papa. I can't wait." Khushi replied before ringing the bell.

"She's exactly like you... impatient." He whispered to his wife and earned an elbow to his stomach.

Meera Ahluwalia opened the door and gave the young girl a confused look. From her expensive and stylish outfit, it was clear that she wasn't there to sell anything. "Yes, how can I help you?" she asked.

The girl gave a smile that reminded Meera of her own daughter, Naina, when she was in little. "Namaste! I'm Khushi... Khushi Singh Raidaza." the girl introduced herself. "And THOSE two are my parents." she added pointing behind her.

Meera peeked around the girl, and gasped. Naina. Her daughter... that she had thrown out of the house because she had been carrying a baby out of wedlock. From the sindoor in her forehead and the mangalsutra around her neck made it clear that she had gotten married. Meera finally noticed the man standing beside her daughter. Rajveer Singh Shikhawat... her son, Naveen's best friend and her daughter's mentor. Meera suspected that he was also the father of Naina's child. Then she glanced at the young girl. "Did you just say... your parents?" she asked.

Khushi nodded with a small smile. "Yes."

Rajveer came and touched Meera's feet. "How are you, Mrs. Ahluwalia?" he asked.

"Ca- Captain Rajveer? I'm fine. How are you?" Meera asked. Her eyes were still on her daughter who seemed to be determined to ignore her.

"I'm good. Naina? Won't you greet your mother?" Rajveer called out turning around. His beloved wife proceeded to royally ignore him. "On my wife's behalf, I apologize. Can we please come in and talk inside?" He pleaded to his mother-in-law.

"All of you should have been here years ago. What took you guys so long?" Meera complaint grumpily. "It was your and Naina's fault for getting intimate without getting married. We were bound to get angry about it. As Naina's parents, it was our right. That does not mean that you get to show arrogance and not visit your own parents at home!" she added the last part glancing at her daughter.

Rajveer could already guess that Naina was going to explode like a lava mountain. And he was right.

"I was having a grand party for last 26 years. That's why we didn't come to visit." Naina told her mother sarcastically.

Getting such a sarcastic response from her daughter, Meera also got angry. "You don't get to speak to me like that!" She shouted at her daughter.

" MAA! NANI MAA! Calm down... Both if you!" Khushi scolded them before pointing at the couch in the living room. Yes, while everyone was talking, she had already entered the house. "Sit down and we will speak calmly!" She said to her mother and grandmother.

Saying her granddaughter speaking with her so rightfully, Meera calmed down a little. "I am guessing you both are married?" she asked Rajveer.

"Yes, ma'am." He replied politely.

"Then you are the son in law of Ahluwalia family. Please stay here. I'll bring aarti for you and my stupid daughter and my beautiful granddaughter." Saying this mirror hurried inside to get aarti for them.

After the aarti was done, Rajveer and Khushi entered Ahluwalia house, but Naina stayed out. "Aarial kahiki!" Meera glared at her daughter. [Stubborn ass!]

"Ma'am, whatever happened all those years ago... it wasn't Naina's fault. We wanted to get married. But I got trapped by those same people that had trapped Naveen. Naina and her friends helped me escape so that I don't also end up like Naveen. That's why she hid her pregnancy from me and came here. I'm sorry I couldn't take care of her. She was my responsibility." Rajveer explained.

"She... She never told us any of it. She didn't even tell us who the father was." Meera told him crying.

Rajveer gave him a sad smile. "She was protecting me." he said taking her hand.

"And me." Khushi added, "The people behind this conspiracy were really powerful. If they knew that Captain Rajveer and Naina had a baby, they would've tried to kill me. Maa was trying to save both Papa and me." she told her grandma. "By the way, where's nanaji?" [Nana ji = Grandpa.]

Meera cupped Khushi's face. "Your nanaji died 10 years ago, beta." she told her sadly.

"I'm so sorry. I wish I knew about you guys... then I would've come here to take acre of you both." Khushi told her grandma sadly.

Meera frowned. "Why didn't you know about us? Did your stubborn mother not tell you about us?" she asked. "Wait... let me get her inside. I want answers." she said before heading out.

A few minutes after Meera went out, Rajveer leant into Khushi and asked. "What do you think is happening out there?" he asked.

"Who knows!" Khushi shrugged before an idea came to her mind. With a grin, she turned to her father and raised her eyebrows.

Rajveer shook his head understanding what was going on in his daughter's mind. "I can't believe I'm doing this." he muttered before getting up.

Soon, both father - daughter were looking sneakily through the window to see what was happening out side. They watched Naina and Meera arguing in silence. Then , they burst into tears and hugged each other. Father - daughter sighed in relief. Meera and Naina came back inside and caught the father - daughter red handed as in their relief, they forgot to move. Giving sheepish smiles, they went back to their seats. Naina, Rajveer, and Khushi spent the next hour telling Meera what had happened to all of them in last 26 years. Meera was in tears to learn what hell her daughter and son-in-law had gone through. Everyone stayed over that night.

The next day, they were on their way back to Delhi. Rajveer wanted Meera to stay with Rajveer and Naina in their new home. Since she was alone, Neither Naina or Rajveer wanted her to stay in Nainital while rest of them stayed in Delhi. Since Rajveer got back his post, benefits, and pension, he was able to buy a small three bedroom bungalow with a back yard for them. He wanted his daughter to have a home to come back to whenever she wanted. He wanted to have his grandchildren over to play in the backyard. He wanted to bond with his son-in-law as he learns about gardening from him. Making Meera come live with them would be like tying the last knot to their dream. He felt at peace.

Turning around, Rajveer asked his daughter, "Are you happy now? You wanted to see KMA."

"Yes, I'm beyond happy. I just want to see another place." Khushi stated thoughtfully.

"Which one?" Naina asked.

"Point 1857!" Khushi replied with a mischievous smile. Her answer made both of her parents gape at her in shock.
