3 years later.

Rajveer returned home after a long day at work. He had stayed in Army long enough to catch all of Lala's allies and Eagle's members. He completed his promise and was successful. He caught the last one last week. So, he had handed over his resignation letter this morning.

"Naina?!" He called out to his wife. "I'm home!" He added.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps running towards him with a familiar giggling sound. He looked down in time to find his 2 year old grandson, Ansh running towards him. He knelt down and hug the little boy in greeting.

"Nanji, you tame!" Ansh said in his little baby voice.

Rajveer laughed and placed kisses on both of his chubby cheeks. "If I knew my dear dear grandson would be here, I would have come home earlier." He told his grandson as he picked the little boy in his arms.

"Daddy say suppise." Ansh informed him nodding his head cutely.

"Aww... it's a surprise? I really loved it." Rajveer assured his grandson.

Ansh smiled widely. He was pleased that his grandfather had loved the surprise. "Nanji, putbol?" He asked tilting his head.

"Let your Nanaji shower and change. I promise we will play football afterwards. Okay?"

"Tay." Arsh replied before running towards the living room

where his father was working on his laptop. "Daddy! Daddy! Nanji tame. We play putbol. You wanna?" he asked tugging on his father's pants.

Arnav smiled at his son before closing his laptop. "Yes, I'll also play with you and your Nanji." he said picking up his son on his lap.

"I go tell mamma?" Ansh asked.

"That's not necessary. Let your mamma hang out with your nanu."

"Mamma cook, light? Nau food not yummy." Ansh made a face. Even the two year old knew that Naina didn't cook well.

Arnav burst into laughter. "Shh, kiddo! Your nanu might get angry if she hear you!" He told her son playfully.

" What will make me angry if I hear about it?" Naina asked with her hands on her hips. She heard the Arnav's last line when she was passing by the living room.

Both father and son stared at her wide eyed. It was clear she almost caught him saying something bad about her behind her back. Naina raised her eyebrow at the two of them, amused. "It was about my cooking, wasn't it?" she asked dryly.

"We no say youl food no yummy." Ansh told her innocently.

Naina burst into giggles. "You even ruined my image in front of my grandson!" She gave Arnav a mock accused look.

"I believe, maa, it was you cooking skills that did it." Arnav replied with a shrug.

"I'll... I'll do something to you." Naina warned him before stomping off to complain to Khushi about her husband. She really loved Arnav like her own son. She was happy that he felt comfortable enough with her to joke around. Khushi had shared with Naina about their past. While she wasn't particularly pleased with Arnav's past actions, his childhood trauma explained why he was that way before. Now, Arnav was a devoted husband and a loving family man. He was fiercely protective of all of his family members like a lion was of his pride's members.

"Your husband has been bad mouthing me to my grandson." Naina announced as soon as she entered the kitchen where Khushi and Meera were cooking dinner.

"No one needs to bad mouth you, my dear child. Your cooking skill speaks for itself." Meera told her teasingly.

"Maa!" Naina whined, "You're too much! Kabhi to meri side le liya kiziye." she pouted. [Take my side some times as well.]

"Maa... it's okay. You're good in other things." Khushi assured her mother with a smile.

"Good girl!" Naina said dropping a kiss on Khushi's head. "I hope these one turns out like me. Then that son-in-law of mine won't get to mock me anymore." she stated rubbing Khushi's swollen belly. She was expecting their second child on four months.

Khushi snickered. "He loves to tease you, maa. If we have a girl this time and she turns out like you, I'm pretty sure Arnavji will find something else to tease you with." she told her mother, amused.

"You know you love it when he teases you." Rajveer remarked form the doorway of the kitchen.

"Hey!" Naina smiled at him lovingly. "How was your day?" she asked.

"I handed in my resignation successfully." he informed with a shrug as he hugged her and placed a kiss on her cheek. "And you're just jealous because Arnav sides with me whenever you and Khushi start ganging up on me." he pointed out.

"I'm not jealous!" Naina grumbled leaning against his chest.

Rajveer chuckled wrapping his arms around her. "Yes, you are." he said grinning.

Rajveer and Arnav helped bringing the food to the table after it was ready. Once everyone was settled, Arnav asked Rajveer, "Papa, what do you plan on doing now that you've retired from Army?"

"Naina, Alekh and I are planning on opening a private investigation office. Rest of the super six also wants to join us in a few years when they retire. I think It would be something we would all love to do." Rajveer told his son-in-law with a proud smile.

"Alekh mamaji is also retiring?" Khushi asked with a frown, "He didn't tell me." she grumbled.

"Yeah. He wanted to surprise you on your birthday new week." Rajveer tried to save his brother-ion-law from his very hormonal pregnant daughter's anger.

"Don't lie to me! Alekh mamaji didn't thought to tell me that he was retiring! I'm his only niece. How could he?" Khushi ranted, huffing angrily.

She reminded Rajveer of an angry panda in that moment. But he kept his mouth shut as he didn't want this anger get directed towards him. Hiding his smile, he told her, "I'll stay out of your uncle-niece business then."

"Khushi, how is your case going?" Naina asked wanting to keep her daughter calm as she had a tendency to chatter and rant non-stop. Both Rajveer and Arnav just loved to provoke Khushi to start one of her rants.

"It's a case about an arrogant jerk who thought he would get off scots free after crashed his expensive car through a slum, killing four people. His attitude actually reminds me of someone." Khushi remarked thoughtfully.

"Don't tell me he reminded you of me! I was never that bad!" Arnav protested.

Khushi rolled her eyes. "You were bad, but yes, not like him. This guy reminds me of Lala Gehlot. Thinks he can destroy or take someone's life just because he has money. KSR has been teaching him some proper lessons in manners." she shared with a smirk.

"Do you also find it creepy when she speaks in third person?" Rajveer asked Arnav.

Before Arnav could speak though, Khushi snorted. "I learned from him. KSR is after all ASR's wife." she told her father poking her tongue at him.

"Papa, did you guys looked at placed for your office? If not, then I have a few properties you could take a look at." Arnav offered.

"That's okay, beta. We can managed." Rajveer told him uncomfortable.

Arnav sighed before placing his hand over Rajveer's. "Papa, please think of this as my investment in your goals. I know I could never do what you guys do, but the least I could do is let you guys have a place where you could do whatever you want in peace. And I'll be able to relax to know that you all are safe." he explained his point of view.

"Damadji (Son-in-law), I think Arnav beta is right. I will also be able to relax if I know all three of my children are okay." Meera told Rajveer, affectionately.

Rajveer looked at Naina. He knew he would do whatever she told him to do. She smiled at him, taking his hand. "I think we should do this. We've already wasted too many years with risks over our heads. I think it's time to play safe now." she told him.

Rajveer exhaled sharply before turning to Arnav. "My wife said yes." he stated.

Arnav grinned. "And a smart man always listens to his wife." he remarked with a wink.

"How are you feeling?" Arnav asked his wife silently as he drove his little family home that night.

Khushi smiled at him and nodded. "I'm good. Why are you asking that suddenly?" she asked.

"It would be 9 years since you took that vow to save your parents. How are you feeling about that now?" Arnav asked.

Khushi beamed at him. "I completed my vow... my promise, Arnavji. Now I have a huge family with two sets of parents who loves me unconditionally. A loving husband... loving in-laws... a beautiful baby boy and one of the way. I have nothing that I want now. Thank you for being by my side throughout my journey." she told him cupping his face.

"My dear crazy wife, I'm your life partner. If I don't stay by your side, then where else would I be?" Arnav remarked with a smile. Arnav was happy too. Forgetting the past, he had also moved on to a better, happier life. He couldn't ask for more.

"I love you." Khushi told him.

"I love you too." he replied.
