It is the surveillance footage that got Detective Charles Boyle showing it to Sergeant Jeffords. He was in a state of absolute shock and when Detective Rosa Diaz got back, he immediately summoned everyone including Captain Holt to the briefing room where Charles explained about the culprit and showing them the surveillance tape on a 4K TV Screen.
"Okay everyone, we just found out about our culprit and you are not going to believe this." Sergeant Jeffords explained from the podium as soon as everyone settled down.
Detective Charles Boyle took over, cleared his throat and explained about the culprit.
"Okay, as you know. It would appear that our attacker could be a human one." He paused before continuing. "But it would seems that our culprit may be some monster or something. And, well…I want to warn you, what you are about to see is shocking and disturbing."
He immediately turns on the 4K TV Screen and plays the surveillance footage, that is where things got very disturbing.
The surveillance camera at that alleyway is equipped with night-vision and it shows the victim going to the alleyway where out of the sewer manhole, a scary looking creature appeared and attacked the victim. But that is not the strangest part that got the precinct shocked, in the footage after the creature tore apart the victim, two unknown figures appeared and tried to attack the creature but it retreated back into the sewer manhole and the two figures followed it.
"OMG, is that some kind of monster?!" Detective Rosa Diaz said to Charles, shocked.
"Potentially, yes." Detective Charles Boyle replied, terrified.
"Did that 'thing' came out of the sewers?" Captain Holt asked.
"Well, yes." Charles replied.
"That thing is very shocking and terrifying!" Their colleague, Detective Norm Scully said, terrified in shock.
"That looked like some ferocious Godzilla or something!" Scully's friend and fellow colleague, Detective Mitchel Hitchcock said, also terrified in shock.
"Hold on Charles, so what you're saying is, that 'thing' or whatever it is killed all those victims?!" Sergeant Amy Santiago said, shocked and puzzled.
"When you put it that way, yes!" Charles said, confirming Amy's theory.
"But then, who are those two persons that went after that creature?" Detective Jake Peralta asks, pointing to the two figures that went after the creature in the footage.
"Unfortunately, they were wearing hoodies so it's impossible to find out who they are." Charles replied.
"So that means, our culprit or 'thing' attacks our victims from the sewers at alleyways. Looks like we may have to go underground." Detective Jake Peralta said, now realizing that there is a new lead in the case.
"I highly doubt it." Sergeant Jeffords said then remarked. "But unfortunately, I will need to get in touch with the DEP and see if they can get the sewer bureau to send us the map of the Brooklyn sewer system."
"Okay then, Jeffords, get in touch with the DEP and the sewer bureau. See if they can send us the map of the Brooklyn sewer system. Meantime, Peralta, Santiago, Boyle and Diaz, as soon as Sergeant Jeffords receives the sewer maps, get back to the crime scene and investigate the sewers." Captain holt said. "We now need to get rid of this monster fast."
Immediately, everyone left the briefing room in a rush and started finding out more about what the creature is while sergeant Jeffords gets in touch with the sewer bureau for the map of the sewer system in Brooklyn.
As soon as Detective Jake Peralta got back to his desk, he asks both Boyle along with Amy and Diaz about what that creature could be and how they can identify those two unknown individuals.
"Hey Charles, so is there any way we can identify those two individuals that went after the monster right after it killed our victim?" Jake asks Charles.
"That's the thing, I can't. Like I said in the briefing room, they were wearing hoodies and they were moving so fast." He replied.
"But do we have any idea what kind of creature that attacks our victims really is?" Rosa asked, curious.
"Well, that is the thing." Charles replied. "I have absolutely no idea what type of creature that is and who these two unknown individuals are."
"Well, now that we know that this creature is responsible for the murders, why for some reasons the creature lives in the sewers?" Amy asked, out of curiosity.
"Maybe it likes the dampness and the darkness? That is my only guess." Detective Rosa replied.
"That could be the reason, but I think that it is our best of luck that we try to find it in the sewers." Sergeant Amy Santiago replied.
"Oh man, this is officially the second time that we get to go into the sewers!" Jake said as he remembered looking for an escaped prisoner in the sewers along with Terry, Amy and Charles.
"Yeah, and I remembered that we agreed that Jake stays at my place after we got the last escaped prisoner who turns out was also Doug Judy's birth brother." Amy said, in which she remembered what Jake told her after the case that time.
It came to no surprise that Sergeant Jeffords went up to Santiago and Peralta and told them the good news. "Hey guys, good news." He said, in excitement. "The DEP has just emailed me the maps of the sewers and the two of you can start tomorrow by using the manhole at the latest crime scene."
"What about Charles and I, can we also use that manhole at the latest crime scene?" Detective Rosa Diaz asked Sergeant Jeffords.
"No Diaz, you and Charles along with me and Captain Holt will use the manhole at the last crime scene which is at Prospect Park." Jeffords said.
"Wait Sarge, you along with Captain Holt are also coming with us, why?" Rosa asked.
"Well, while I was on the phone with the sewer bureau, Captain Holt came to me and asked me if I have ever been in a sewer before. I reminded him about the escaped prisoners and he remembered, and then told me that he wants to come with me and help me out. So, I agreed to him." Terry replied.
"Also, Terry really feels that he needs to accompany his boss and look after his fellow officers." He later replied.
"Oh man, you really are going into a place that smells like poop and nasty? You should probably also consider trying to cover your noses and hold your breath because of that." Gina replied from her desk.
"I know that Gina, but I am fine being able to tolerate the smell and dampness of the sewers thank you very much." Terry replied to her.
"Well suit yourself, just to let you know, I have prepared your last will and testament here just in case you can't tolerate it and then died." Gina replied, showing a Last Will and Testament template on her computer.
"What about those two bozos, they're coming too?" Rosa asked Jeffords, pointing to Hitchcock and Scully, who are at their desks.
"Um... I'm not so sure." Jeffords replied. "Scully, Hitchcock, have you guys ever been in a sewer before?" He asked them.
"Well, we've never been in a sewer before for some reasons." Scully replied.
"In that case, you two will also come with me and Captain Holt." Jeffords replied.
"Why can't we go with Jake and Amy?" Hitchcock asks.
"They are a couple, and they need to stick together. Also, Jake is in charge of this case so he will be sticking to Amy." Terry replied in which Hitchcock realized.
"Well in that case, it seems that we need some masks for this job." Hitchcock replied and he along with Scully went to get some breathing masks from the Equipment Room.
"Guys, you don't need masks for this!" Terry replied, but by then they already went to get the masks.
Couple of author's notes:
- This is my first ever crossover story between Disney Channel and NBC. I would like to apologize if there are any mistakes with the characters or concerning police-procedure.
- These two stories takes place in different parts of New York City. Wizards of Waverly Place takes place in Manhattan while Brooklyn Nine-Nine takes place in Brooklyn. When I thought more of this story, the more it becomes a Brooklyn Nine-Nine story, the Wizards of Waverly Place will happen in the next chapter and the last chapter.
