About a month had passed. Beck was still trying to figure out her vacation plans. That morning when Beck woke up she didn't feel well but decided to go to work anyway. As the day went on she felt worse and worse. She just got done throwing up.

"You look terrible." Winnie said.

"Thanks."

Winnie took her hand and put it to Beck's forehead. "You're burning up, go home." "I got it."

"I'm fine."

"You're not fine." "Are you pregnant?" She asked smiling.

"No."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." "I am definitely not pregnant." "I think I have the flu." "I'll go home."

"Don't worry, I've got it covered."

When Sam got home from the airport at around two o'clock, he knew something was wrong because Beck wasn't supposed to be home yet. He went inside and put his bag down. When he turned his phone on he saw a text from Beck. It said she came home from work early because she was sick. He went to her room to check on her. She was sleeping.

At around eight o'clock Beck went downstairs to make something to eat. She felt very lightheaded.

"Hi." Sam said.

"Hi." "Don't get to close to me." "I don't want to infect you."

"How do you feel?"

"Terrible." "I'm gonna try to eat."

"Go upstairs and rest." "I'll make you something."

"You don't have to."

"I want to." "What do you want?"

"Chicken noodle soup."

"Ok." She went back upstairs. He went into the kitchen.

A few minutes later Sam went into Beck's room holding a TV tray. It had soup and orange juice on it. He put it in front of her.

"Thanks." She said.

"You're welcome."

They talked while she ate. She just finished eating.

"I need to get the thermometer and see if I still have a fever." Beck said.

"I'll go get it." He got it and brought it to her.

"101.2."

"I'll get you some Tylenol." He got it for her.

The next evening she still wasn't feeling a hundred percent but her fever had gone down slightly. Sam got Beck anything she needed. They were sitting on the couch watching Tv.

"Thanks for taking care of me Sam." Beck said.

"That's what friends are for."

"If I ever have a real husband one day, I hope he takes care of me like you did."

"That's what a good husband does."

"I haven't asked Winnie yet but I want to come on the road with you."

"We'll have a good time."

"I know."
