Waking up in the nurse's office, the frail blue haired boy sat up from the bed and scanned his surroundings. As he moved, a sharp pain echoed through his head. "Ahh..." He grunted as it started to subside.

The nurse seemed to be gone for the time being, so Yuuki Mishima was left alone. He laid back down on the bed and decided to rest some more.

'All these bruises...and I'm still not a starter.' Frustration coated his face. 'I've done everything I'm told. Send students to him, let him take out frustration on me, even leaked the criminal records...when do I get rewarded for this?' He started to wallow in self-pity for a bit.

Thinking back, Mishima knew he wasn't talented at volleyball. He liked to play but was never considered the best. In comparison to someone like Shiho Suzui, he lacked a natural talent. If it wasn't for all of the work he was doing for Mr. Kamoshida, he would have been cut from the team. All of these thoughts along with the pain from his bruises caused the boy to begin to cry. He couldn't help but sob over everything he has done and been through.

After another few moments, the tears slowly stopped and Yuuki Mishima fell back asleep.

It was afternoon. The rally had been over for awhile now and school was beginning to let out. The hallway filled with students, Yuuki slowly walked by the walls, staying out of people's way trying to blend in.

His plan nearly worked, as he approached class 2-D. "Mishima-kun?" A voice called out.

'Huh?' He thought to himself. 'I don't recognize that voice. Who would call my name?' He turned to see the black haired, glasses wearing transfer student leaning against the wall. The boy stumbled back, hitting his back on the door. He seemed to be trembling. "A..a..a..Amamiya-san?!" The boy exclaimed.

The delinquent slowly approached him, his eyes seemed to tunnel into him with a piercing gaze. "Do you have a moment? I want to talk to you about something." The smile on his face seemed wicked and twisted.

Mishima was scared. He had no way out of this. He could try to run but doubted he would get away with his current injuries. Finding a teacher would be a temporary solution, he wouldn't be able to avoid someone in his own class. "Umm sure...Just le...let me grab my stuff." He stuttered nervously.

Walking into the empty classroom, Yuuki grabbed his bag from the desk. Ren was waiting right outside, he had no escape option other than the window. Deciding to face the music, the boy walked back out into the hallway.

"Ready to go?" Amamiya asked as he gestured down the hall. "Let's go over there."

The blue haired boy was swallowed by his presence. Intimidation seemed to radiate from his, as if he was a monster. It was a similar feeling to that of Kamoshida. Except this one was wilder. Kamoshida may be physically more intimidating but he was consistent with his behavior. Amamiya on the other hand was a loose cannon. He was an unknown who was on probation for assault. He was a wild card that Mishima couldn't possibly prepare for.

Yuuki just nodded his head in confirmation and followed Ren to the end of the hallway.

Standing with his back to the wall, Mishima wasn't sure what would happen. After how his life was up to this moment, he was one more push away from giving up and resigning to his fate.

Ren stood a few feet back, giving the boy a bit of space. "You're on the volleyball team, right Mishima-kun?"

Hesitantly, Yuuki responded. "Yea...but I'm just a backup." He looked a mix of afraid and dejected. The fear was winning though.

"So I wanted to ask you something. If Kamoshida needs something done, who on the team is his go to person?" The glare from his glasses hid his eyes well but Mishima could still feel his intense gaze.

"That wou...would be me." His fear getting worse and worse.

Amamiya seemed to perk up a bit. He moved away from the wall and went a step closer to Mishima. "How often does he tell you to do things for him? Like bring students to his office?"

Mishima froze. 'He knows something! He definitely does! How?! I don't know but I'm so dead!' The boy trembled. "About once or twice a week?"

"And are you the only one he asks for this kind of thing?" His gaze intensified. The tension in the air felt like it could be cut with a knife.

Yuuki swallowed hard. "Y...yes!"

The messy haired boy thought for a moment before a smirk crossed his face. "I have a deal for you." The boy pulled out some money from his pocket. "Here. This 5000 yen is for you." Handing it to Mishima.

His face turned from fear to confusion. "Umm why?" He muttered out, barely able to speak.

"Like I said a deal." Amamiya pulled out a piece of paper with a name and address on it. "I want you to go to this address and get checked out by this doctor. She will tell you to take the next few days off of school and relax."

The blue haired boy was stunned. "But why? What's the point?" He asked.

Ren placed a hand on his shoulder and leaned in. "I get the feeling something bad is going to happen soon. I can't say what but it involves Kamoshida. And it would really put my mind at ease if you weren't around for the next few days okay." He said with a smile. It looked genuine and kind. Mishima forgot what that was like. No one looked at him like that in so long.

The boy began to tear up. "...Thank you." He managed. "But I can't. Nationals are coming up and I need to be at practice..." His voice trailed as he turned down his bit of salvation that was being handed to him.

"Listen, the school can't argue with a doctor's note. You will be fine. I promise." Amamiya took a step back to give the boy space to breath.

Yuuki stepped forward with emotion in his voice. "Why help me though? You don't know me or what I've...done..." He trailed off again.

Amamiya sighed and took his glasses off. Those grey eyes were a beautiful intense void that drew one's attention. "Everyone deserves a chance at a fresh start. I want to see that happen for you and everyone else involved in this whole situation." Mishima could tell that these words were how he truly felt. "Besides, if you do this, the two of us can get a fresh start and move on."

The words sunk in. "Fresh start...move on...wait! Do you already know? About what I've done?!" He panicked.

"I'll leave that to your imagination." He smirked. "Now I don't want to see you at school the next three days okay?"

Nodding his head vigorously up and down, Yuuki agreed. "I'll go visit the doctor and get a note saying I can't come to school."

"Good." Ren put his glasses back on. "And if you don't..." An aura radiated from the dark haired boy. It was as if he was standing before a monstrous giant who could crush him at will.

Not able to take anymore, Yuuki darted down the hallway. "I will I will!" He shouted back. He nearly knocked over a blonde student but couldn't tell. The last he heard was what sounded of hideous laughter from the end of the hallway.

Yuuki Mishima left school and headed to the address listed. It was some small back alley clinic in Yongen. The area didn't look like much with a shut down movie theater next door and a man selling goods out of what looked like his garage.

Walking inside the clinic, the boy noticed an empty waiting room. It was kept clean, most likely from lack of customers to dirty up the area. Behind the glass window was a bored looking woman. She had a gothic style to her with her spiked collar and a punk hair style. Coincidentally, her hair color was almost the same as Mishima's.

Walking in, the boy looked like a deer in the headlights, no idea of what he was supposed to do. After a moment, the bored woman looked up from her newspaper and addressed her customer. "Well you look like a total mess." She blatantly said to the boy's face. "Here to get checked out?"

"Oh umm...I was umm...told to come here." He stammered. "A person fro...from school told me to stop by."

A brief pause before she continued. "So this is who he meant. Well he did say soon." The woman stood up and walked around to the lobby.

Getting a better look at her, she wore a short dark green dress with a red grommet belt and a lab coat on top. She had long legs accented by her platform heels. Mishima's jaw almost hit the floor. His thoughts began racing. 'Oh wow she is hot! Am I sure this is a doctor's office? Mommy? Sorry. Mommy?'

The punk doctor chuckled at his agape mouth. "With all this bruising, it looks like you took on three guys." She eyed him up a bit more. "Come back here so I can get a better look at you." She gestured with her clipboard for him to follow.

Barely recomposing himself, Mishima snapped to it. "Yes ma'am!"

The doctor sat in her chair and attached a form to her clipboard before handing it to the boy. "Here. Fill this out before we continue."

"Umm what is it?" He asked. Briefly scanning it over as he filled in the blanks. It seemed to ask for generic information and medical history.

"Oh that?" She gave a devilish grin. "That's just a waiver. You know, in case you die because of what happens here, I won't be held responsible."

The boy froze and dropped the pen. He looked down and began thoroughly reading the entire form.

The woman couldn't help but laugh. "Just kidding. It's so I have some information as reference during this checkup."

'This lady is scary...in a hot way...' Yuuki couldn't help but think. Once he finished, he handed the clip board back. "Here you go."

Reading it over briefly, the woman put down the form and addressed her patient. "Alright Mishima-kun, I am Dr. Tae Takemi. A new guinea pig of mine asked me to do him a favor and help keep you out of school."

"Guinea pig?" He muttered out.

"Don't worry about that." She quickly interrupted, changing the subject. "From the looks of things, you shouldn't be in school anyway with this amount of bruising. Take off your shirt."

The boy grew red at the request, looking a bit shy. The gaze from Takemi though intimidated him enough to quickly remove it.

Her eyes widened as she saw the condition he was in. She lifted her head. "Are you being bullied Mishima-kun?"

In a quiet defeated voice, Yuuki could only respond with "No...I am not." His eyes were downcast to the floor, unable to look at the doctor.

"Then what caused all of these injuries?" She intensified her glare. "And don't give me some pathetic excuse like you fell down some stairs."

The boy just mumbled out an answer. "From volleyball practice." His voice almost cracking as tears began to form.

Tae got closer to him and looked at some more of the bruising. "Not all of these are from practice. Some have a similar pattern to a ball shape but others are much different. Like a fist." She raised the boy's chin to look at her. "Who is attacking you?"

Mishima looked up, through the tears to see the doctor really close to him. If he wasn't overwhelmed with emotion, he would be having a different reaction right now. "It's...you can't tell anybody!"

Takemi just nodded her head.

"It's not like anyone could do anything anyway." He muttered as he found the courage to finally speak up. "The volleyball coach...he takes his frustrations out on the players sometimes."

The doctor backed up. Her face very contemplative. "And nobody has said or done anything about this?" She asked, trying to get the full story.

"He's an alumnus and an Olympic Gold Medalist. No one would go against him." The tears started to flow. "Not after how well the team has done since."

"So what your saying is people know and don't stand against him for his accomplishments?" She corrected.

A bit shocked. "Umm yea..." He responded through the sobs.

Sitting down again, she passed him a towel. "Clean yourself up and put your shirt back on. I can write you a prescription for some pain killers until the bruising goes away." She took out a notepad and began writing. "Until then, you are not to go to school for the rest of the week. Not until a noticeable amount of swelling has decreased."

Mishima felt relieved and scared. Relieved at not being tormented and beaten for a few days. Scared about all of the punishment he would receive once he came back.

"Uh Doctor?" Mishima began. "You're not going to ask about my coach or try to do anything are you?"

The punk doctor scoffed at that. "Its not something a small clinic doctor could do anything about. Besides, I think it's up to the school to figure out its own mess." She lowered her tone. "Heaven knows I have my own..." Her face looked distant as if she was thinking of something far away.

A moment passed before she seemed to come out of thought.

"Oh you're free to go." She waved him away with her clipboard. "And tell the guinea pig that I held up my end of the bargain."

Mishima bowed and thanked Dr. Takemi before heading home.

'This has been one crazy day...'

The school was notified by his parents that he would be absent for the remainder of the week. Though they weren't happy about it, they did seem concerned about their child's health and the amount of injuries he had received. Though they mostly attributed them to him being bad at volleyball and his need to improve.

Not sure what to do with his day, Yuuki headed to the Gigolo Arcade on Central Street. He wasn't sure what to really do with his day other than browse the internet at home. The fresh air would do him some good.

As he arrived, barely anyone was there. Most people were at school by this time so of course it would be empty. He started trying out a few games there. From some classic fighters to side scrollers to the always popular Gun About. Mishima wasn't bad at games. If anything, most people would describe him as average. Like a few weeks ago, he played Gun About against a few kids at an arcade in Akihabara and did just fine, winning and losing every so often. Then this one kid with an attitude problem came up and smoked him bad. He never stood a chance. Knowing there was always someone better, Mishima never strove to be the best. Playing volleyball was the one way he thought could change that. If he was part of a team that was the best, he would be the best by association. At least in theory.

An hour or so past and the blue haired boy headed to Big Bang Burger for lunch. He attempted the Big Bang Challenge before but failed miserably. Instead he just got a #1 meal and sat down at a table.

'Man what am I doing?' He thought as he ate his food. 'Taking a day off from school so I don't piss off the transfer student? Though he was nice to me and gave me money...at least I'm not getting hurt.' Yuuki continued his meal. 'But I feel so useless. Like I'm under someone's foot and have to do what they say or get stepped on...' Thoughts of the Yongen Doctor popped into his mind. 'Well stepped on by her wouldn't be so bad.' He chuckled to himself before choking on the food he was chewing. The boy took a drink of his soda to collect himself.

Finishing his meal, the boy left Big Bang Burger and wandered about. As he passed by an alleyway, a man in a gaudy shirt called to him. "Hey kid! You want a job." The man waved to him. "It pays well!"

Not sure why, but Mishima seemed to be drawn in. From everything happening to him, why not go into an alley with a stranger. Walking closer, Yuuki asks him. "What kind of job?"

The man smirked and pulled out his phone. "Simple." He said as he opened his images. "We give you these envelopes and you take them to where we tell you." The man smiled. "Just gotta place them in lockers and stuff and in return, we pay you nice." The man held out some bills in his other hand.

Mishima looked confused. "Why would you pay for something so easy?"

The man briefly looked annoyed before regaining his composure. "The boss has extra money and is trying to give back to the youth. SO what do you say?"

'This seems way to sketchy. I should leave...' Yuuki thought. But the guy next to him seemed scary and he wasn't sure he could get out of the alley fast enough. Maybe if he screamed.

Before the boy could answer, a large figure in a grey coat and hat appeared behind them. "I don't know what your doin' but I thought I made it clear to stay out of my alley." The large man spoke calmly but his words were pure venom. Like they were caught by some reptile.

The gaudy man turned and freaked out on seeing him. "Oh shit! My bad Iwai-san. Didn't mean to be here. I'll get goin'. See ya later kid. Consider my offer." The guy booked it onto Central Streel.

The large man known as Iwai looked down at the blue haired boy. "Word of advice kid. Don't get involved with them if you know what's good for ya."

Mishima could barely look at the man, almost falling backwards as he slowly backed up. "Umm yes sir!" He replied as quickly as he could.

The man smirked at him. "Good. Now get goin'."

Mishima scrambled to his feet and booked it until he was at the station.

Mishima sat at home. He was feeling physically better as most of the swelling had gone down and he hadn't gotten any new ones. Watching tv and doing some homework that was due next week were the only things he could think of to pass the time.

Out of boredom, he decided to check the school chatrooms to see what was going on during his absence. He was sure nothing happened. Maybe someone got in trouble or this person started dating this person but nothing exciting happened since he leaked Amamiya's record. Though to his surprise, the school's chat logs were flooded since this morning.

Mishima sat up and started reading through what people were saying. He hadn't seen this much activity in awhile. Most people didn't use this forum other than school updates. 'Something big must've happened.'

"Did you see that? They were everywhere!"

"Yea! All over the bulletin boards and on every desk!"

"Do you think its true? About what was said about Kamoshida?"

That caught Yuuki's attention. 'Kamoshida? What about him?' His mind wandered for a moment before deciding to continue reading.

"I doubt it. That calling card has to be a prank."

"Does anyone have a photo of it? The teacher's confiscated all they could find."

"Yea Kamoshida was pissed. Looked like he was gonna go on a rampage."

"Sucks for whoever messed with him."

"Here! Snapped a pic earlier."

Mishima clicked on the image, showing the bulletin board downstairs by the entrance completely covered in these red calling cards with a hat design on them.

"Sir Suguru Kamoshida, the Vile Bastard of Lust. I have seen how you have physically and sexually abused your student's and can stay silent no longer. I will hereby make you confess your sins to all and repent for what you have done. -The Phantom Thief"

The blue haired boy read it out loud multiple times, unable to comprehend what was even happening.

'What! Who would do this? Go against Kamoshida? That's suicide! No one at Shujin would dare d-' His thoughts cut off as a realization crossed his mind. "Amamiya-san..." The only person who came to mind was someone who wasn't at Shujin long enough to know the threat of Kamoshida.

Thoughts of panic raced through his head. He couldn't think straight. This all seemed so ridiculous. Why would anyone even do something like this? Was Amamiya going to threaten Kamoshida? Did he have delinquent connections that would take care of the problem. The boy seemed dangerous but what could he do against someone like Kamoshida?

As all this panic and worry set in, a small piece of hope shined through. The thought that if this did work, Kamoshida would be gone, the suffering would end, and he could go back to a normal boring life. In his heart, he was secretly cheering for the success of the Phantom Thief.

So here is my next chapter. I chose Mishima's perspective mostly since he is a major person involved in the Kamoshida Arc but gets outshined by just about everyone else in it. I'm not really a huge fan of his character, he doesn't really stand out much to me. I figured I would give him a chapter every now and then or keep his story going in other character's parts. I decided the last person for this arc should be Shiho. I was torn between her and Kamoshida for the final part but I can't bring myself to write from that man's perspective. Next chapter should cover the ending of the arc, possible rap up chapter after that not sure. Oh last thing, the way I write Ren Amamiya is partly how I imagine Ren but also how the character I'm writing for sees him. Like he's intimidating and scary to Mishima, wild and attractive to Ann, cool and intense to Ryuji. Somewhere in the middle is where the real Ren is. Anyway, hope you enjoyed. See ya later!
