Ok so I've read all the Lalu stories and I really want more so I figured why not write my own. Thank you Hiro Mashima for creating Fairy Tail, love the world and the fan fiction that's been written about it.
Unbelievable, I can't believe this is happening? I know that we all a little destructive, but to split up all the teams seems unfair. Master Makorav wants all members of Fairy Tail to work together more. I get that we all only work solo or with our teams, but still. I've only ever worked with Natsu, Gray, and Erza. This is gonna be so weird. Damn the request bored for taking request with specific mages and giving Master ideas. It's not the worst idea though, this way Team Natsu won't be able to destroy everything and I can keep the money.
"This ain't fair Master, you can't just break us up. I always go on missions with Lucy!"
"Well maybe she deserves a break from you pyro…"
"What you say popsicle!"
There goes another fight between Natsu and Gray. Yes it would be nice to get a little break from them.
Fairy Tail is a great guild with powerful mages and Makorav was proud of that. However, he felt that its members, especially the ones from before the Tenrou incident, need to branch out more. Their all stuck in their groups. They could still go out on missions together, but he wanted the teams to expand and work with different mages.
"Gramps, are you sure that this is the best idea? Splitting up the teams, I won't work with idiots"
"Laxus, if you want to be the next Master of Fairy Tail then you need to learn about its members, interact with them. You can't just talk to the Thunder Legion"
"Tch"
Its not like this opportunity will help him interact with guild members more, he split is time now between jobs and doing guild paperwork. Learning the ropes, that what his grandfather said at least. Laxus felt like it was more that his grandfather hated paperwork and used his grandson to do it. The good thing about all the teams being broken up is that Team Natsu is disbanded, so less destruction of towns, meaning less paperwork. He'll just so solo missions, not like he needs help on them anyway.
3 months later
The guild was flourishing with the disbandment of teams. With Natsu, Erza, and Gray not working together, there was less damages and their reputation benefiting from that as well. Lucy was enjoying working with different people or just going on solo missions. She just finished one with Freed and Levy. It was to translate some old texts in Crocus. One of the texts was a wonderfully written novel. The reward money was nice as well. Its been a couple of days since her last mission and she was ready for another one. She's good on money, but she's getting a little bored and maybe there a mission that's easy and could be like a little vacation for her. Yes, that would be perfect.
Walking up to the mission board, Lucy browses available missions, a couple jump out at her. There's one at a hot springs place, there's some low level monster terrorizing it, after she defeats the monster she could relax at the hot springs for a couple of days. Just as she's about to choose that one Mira comes up to her.
"Hey Lucy, a request just came in that might interest you?"
"Really, what is it?"
"There are some lightning monsters attacking the outskirts of Dawn City, the reward though is really good, 500,000 jewel and a celestial key"
"Really, a celestial key, I'll take it"
"Though you might, Master says I can only approve it if you take someone with, the monsters are no joke"
"Got it, I'll be right back, let me see who would want to go?"
Who would be the best person to take on the mission. The lightning monsters are apparently strong and we don't know how many there are. Just that they are causing extensive damage. She needs a good offensive mage. Erza would be her go to, cause she has lightning armor, but she's out on a mission currently. Natsu is around, but he's to destructive and she doesn't want to deal with paying for damages and apologizing for his behavior. Gray, Juvia, and Gajeel's magic types are the worst for dealing with lightning. Then, there's the best choice for this mission, but she hasn't really ever talked to him. Would he even say yes? Ever since the teams all split up he's only gone on solo missions. He went on a mission once with the Thunder Legion, but since the teams were encouraged to work with others he just went solo instead. Honestly, Laxus made her nervous. He was just so indimidating, he hardly ever smiled, and he stuck with his team. She'd just have to suck it up though. She really wanted that key, and Laxus was the best choice. Sucking it up, she headed upstairs to his office.
Hearing a knock on his door and smelling Blondie behind it Laxus was confused. He never thought that Lucy Heartfilia would come knocking on his door. Intrigued Laxus let her in.
"What brings you up he Blondie?"
"Ummm there's a mission that I want to go on, you don't have to say yes, I mean it'd be great if you said yes, but you don't have to, there are other people I could ask, you'd be the best person, but I could wait for Erza, or just hope that Gray or Gajeel will be able to defeat them, but don't feel pressured"
"Blondie!"
"Yes"
"Breath"
"Sorry" taking a deep breath, Lucy asks "Well, there's a mission to different some lightning monsters outside of Dawn City, the reward in 500,000 jewel and a celestial key and I would really love the celestial key. I was wondering if you would go on the job with me. I would asks Erza, but she's out on a job right now and your the only other person who's magic is best dealing with the monsters"
God, I really hope he says yes, or lets me down nicely. It would be so embarrassing if he says no, maybe I shouldn't have asked him. He wouldn't have known I was thinking of asking him.
Laxus was surprised that Lucy would ask him to go on a mission with her. He knows that his guild mates are more reserved around him, intimidated. He couldn't hold back his grin as he watched Lucy. He could see her freaking out about what he was going to say.
"Ok"
"Wait what?" Lucy was really confused, did he just say yes.
"I did"
"Omg, I just said that outloud. What the fuck Lucy?"
Chuckling Laxus says "you did"
Blushing hard Lucy contemplated summoning Virgo to come dig a hole for her to live in.
Giving her a break, Laxus decides to lay out the plans for their mission.
"Ok, Blondie, lets leave tomorrow, Dawn City is a two day train ride, meet at the train station at 9 am"
"Got it, I'll go tell Mira were going. Thanks Laxus"
At his confused look Lucy elaborates, "Thanks for going on this mission with me, I know that you don't really work with other people"
"No problem Blondie"
So, that's the first chapter. Tell me what you guys think.
