Katakuri headed back into the town to assess and then ultimately fix the damage his doll made in his town. He suppressed the urge to rub the back of his neck and sigh, he settled with one raised eyebrow. What a mess, he thought. He'd have to call in his brother, Cracker, to help him fix this. Assuming he was done whining over his loss to Luffy. He could somewhat understand the feeling. Though Cracker hadn't taken the defeat as well as he had. In a way, it felt good to be beaten. It had been a while since he was challenged like that, or at all really. It gave him something to look forward to, to work towards… a rematch. His mundane life was one of the many things The Straw Hats had disturbed here in Totto Land. He had always felt like he had a purpose, to protect his family. But being undefeated, without proper challenge for how many years? It took the drive out of him. For once, he didn't know what the future held, and that was exciting.

"Cracker," Katakuri said into his transponder snail, "I need you on Komugi Island." Cracker always responded to him with urgency, all of his siblings did, "I'm still rebuilding Sweet City." There was a short pause in which Katakuri knew he didn't need to respond, he never asked twice. "Okay," Cracker said quickly, "be right over." Katakuri didn't say any kind of a thanks or a goodbye, it wasn't necessary. Next he would meet with his pâtisserie chefs, it was time for his merienda. He would need the break. He walked towards the bakery to find his favorite pâtisserie chefs standing outside, their faces pale and sweaty. Sheer terror radiating from their small bodies. He already knew what they would say.

Perona laid herself down on the big and comfy mochi bed. This place was boring. The whole house was colorless. No reds, no pinks, no blacks, not even a nice shade of grey. Only the creamy blank nothingness of mochi and more mochi. She groaned and tossed and turned. She would go crazy if she had to stay here one more minute. Luckily for her, she didn't have to stay anywhere she didn't want to be. Not really anyways. She left her body on the bed, it was time for an 'out of body' experience! She floated her ghostly self around the room once, admiring how cute she looked on the bed. To anyone who didn't know, she appeared to be asleep. She floated through the mochi walls and into town. She wondered what her big, tall, scary Kittycurry was up to. Why did she always follow around guys who didn't care about her? Zoro, Mihawk and now him? She didn't care at all! Right? Right! Perona sighed.

She floated down into the town, her hair flying behind her, her arms outstretched as if she could grab something below. Flying always put her in such a good mood. And she wouldn't have to worry about hurting herself, her body was very safe. It was getting darker by the minute, which excited her. She flew higher to get a better vantage point. Where are you, she thought. She considered setting up her very own Ghost Network here, but decided against it. She wouldn't be here for long. Perona was ultimately headed to that chocolate place and then to Whole Cake Island! She smirked recalling the Ghost Network she'd set up in Mihawk's castle… more importantly the one in his bathtub. She laughed, her ghostly giggle, she was trouble! She caught a glimpse of that unmistakable beautiful shade of crimson colored hair over the rooftops. Her Kitty was so tall, he wasn't a very good hider. And unluckily for him, she was a great seeker! Hide-and-go-seek was a ghost's specialty!

Perona flew closely to the top of the roofs, not wanting him to see her. She'd rather her ability remain a secret for a bit longer. It was easier for her to make mischief that way. She laid her ghostly self down onto the bakery's roof, folding her arms and resting her head on top of them. She smiled and sighed as she watched her Kitty from afar. She really needed black paint for her bear. She crept closer and closer until she could overhear the conversation he was having with the bakers. She leaned over the edge of the roof, the darkness working in her favor, her tophat would look like a chimney! She squinted, picking out the details on her newest obsession's face. A vein in his forehead pulsed as the bakers apologized profusely to him.

"W-we spent all morning perfecting these donuts for you but," one started and another one finished, "that ghost menace came and ate every last one!" Then they started to cry, "Please forgive us Sweet Commander Katakuri!" Perona gasped and clasped her hand over her mouth. No, she thought, no no no! She remembered eating those donuts too. They looked like art and they tasted like pure joy. She enjoyed every last minute, every single bite of those donuts. And she almost puked them right back out after riding a donut down the hill. Damn it! Did she really eat his donuts? The donuts that were made specially for him! She watched him clench his fists and narrow his eyes. And from this angle.. Looking down on him.. It almost looked like there were scars on his face! Perona's eyes lit up. Oh Kittycurry Bear, she thought, you will be even more beautiful after I tear your face apart and sew it back together! She was so excited. There was nothing more adorable than scars! Except for maybe hot cocoa and bagel sandwiches in bed.

Katakuri saw something. His eyes flicked up towards the roof. How did she get out of the house? Perona noticed him staring right at her and panicked. He held his arms out to catch her as she fell. And just as he had anticipated it, in her panic, Perona clumsily stumbled and fell off the roof. What Katakuri couldn't predict, is that she'd recover, save herself and float away. He stalked after her. He called Brulee on his transponder snail, "the girl got out," he told her. "W-what? What are you talking about? I'm lookin at her right now. She's asleep in the bed," Brulee responded. Katakur's eyes narrowed, "I'm looking at her too," he said, sounding very annoyed as he watched his doll float across the sky back towards his mochi house.

Perona whined to herself, she couldn't believe she'd been so awkward in front of Kitty. He was going to come for her! He was so mad about the donuts… She quickly returned to her body. She had to get out of here, NOW. Before he returned to punish her. "Toku Hollow!" She yelled, she was going to blow a hole right through the mochi wall. She took a few steps back. "Rap!" She snapped her fingers, her giant ghost exploded against the bedroom wall. She floated out of the hole in the wall. Flying would be quicker than running at this point. But it didn't matter. She was too late. Kittycurry was already standing there outside the house waiting for her. Like he knew which wall she'd come out of and everything. Damn that punk! Her feet touched back down to the ground, feeling defeated. That's when she remembered she'd forgotten her bear back inside the house.

"Oh no! My Kittycurry Bear!" She gasped. She ran back into the bedroom through the hole she'd made in the wall. She found her bear unharmed, a bit sticky from the jam dye, but not blown to pieces! He was a survivor! Katakuri stepped into the bedroom through the same hole, ducking his head in and closing up the wall behind him with his mochi powers. He crossed his arms and watched her play with her bear on the floor. Waiting patiently for her to return her attention to him. Katakuri's eyebrows raised in confusion and amusement, interested in seeing how the future would unfold in real time.

Perona found a spot around the bear's mouth where the seams looked poorly constructed. "Don't worry Kittycurry Bear! I'll fix you!" She removed her top hat and pulled from the inside a sewing needle and black thread. She held the needle between her lips, this next part required two hands. She poked a finger between the loose seam and wiggled it around until it became a bigger hole. Then she stuck as many fingers into the bear's mouth as she could and she ripped it violently open. Some of the stuffing came out, so she poked it back in as she sewed the cheeks back together in a nice criss cross pattern. It was dark when she'd seen him, but this was how she'd recalled the scars on Kitty's face to look like. Then she held it up for Katakuri to see, "Look Kitty!" She smiled and giggled, so proud of her work-in-progress bear.

Katakuri didn't seem impressed. He ignored the fact that she couldn't remember his name. "You think that's funny?" He asked her in a menacing voice. Perona blushed, "No, I.. I just." Katakuri took a step closer to her, "You think it's funny to insult me and laugh at my scared face?" Perona gasped but he didn't give her any opportunity to say her piece. She held her bear closer to her chest and squirmed across the floor until her back was against a mochi wall. Katakuri used that to his advantage. Suddenly, Perona felt the wall shift behind her, wrap around her waist and lift her off the floor until she was at eye level with a very pissed off Katakuri. At this rate, he thought, his doll might not last the night. He closed the remaining gap between them until their faces were so close their noses almost touched.

Perona started breathing heavily at his sudden closeness. Her arms weren't restrained. She lifted her right hand, the one that wasn't holding her bear, and reached out to touch her fingertips against his scared cheek. But he anticipated the gesture and grabbed her wrist harshly. "Is that why you're here? You're here to gawk at my face?" He scolded. Perona's lips parted to say something but nothing seemed to come out. Katakuri felt himself breathing heavily too, and mentally chastised himself for it. He studied her beautiful face, her unnaturally large eyes staring back at him. He didn't let go of the hard grip he had on her wrist. If anything, he squeezed harder, threatening to break it. She gasped at the pain but didn't pull away. He used his other hand to unwrap his scarf and he threw it to the ground. "Is this what you wanted?!" He snarled, his eyes piercing into hers. Perona gasped at the full view she now had of Katakuri. He released her wrist and took a clumsy step back, not believing the words about to come from her mouth. He must have seen it wrong. She couldn't really think…

"SOOO CUTE!" Perona squealed. Katakuri blushed. "Kittycurry is SO SO CUTE!" She squealed again, her hands clapped her cheeks and she pursed her lips. "He's the cutest Kitty I've ever seen! AHHH! BEAR!" She screamed because she'd dropped her bear. Perona was slowly lowered to the floor and released from the mochi wall. It was all Katakuri could think to do. Perona retrieved her bear from the floor. "Mochi me!" She said as she held out her hand in front of Katakuri, who was still very much in shock. He held out his hand and small mochi balls floated from his open hand to hers. "Thank you!" She said in a sing-songy way. Then she took one of the small balls and worked it in her hands. Katakuri watched her tongue slide across her lips as she worked. "Done!" She said and she showed her bear to him again. This time, the bear had the addition of four pointed mochi teeth between its stitched up cheeks. The corner up Katakuri's mouth turned up in approval. No one had ever called him cute after seeing his face. "Still needs black paint," Perona shrugged. "It's… different," Katakuri said. Perona smiled, 'different' was a compliment to her. "I'm sorry I ate your donuts," she admitted, though, at the time, she wasn't sorry at all, "They were so yummy!" Katakuri just nodded, he bet they were. "Stay here," he said, then he faced the mirror and said, "Brulee." Perona watched in awe as he walked right through the mirror, leaving her behind.

"WHAT!" She yelled. Then she ran over to the mirror and reached a hand out, but when her hand came in contact with the mirror, nothing happened. She straightened up and in her best deepest voice she said, "Brulee." Like it was a magic word. And she pressed up against the mirror, but nothing. She couldn't get through. Damn it.
