Chapter 11.
Olivia was on the older side, so Dr. Moore decided that after the tests came back positive, that an ultrasound would be a good idea. Amanda sat beside Olivia as she laid on the table, their hands grasped together. As the Tech started the ultrasound, Olivia zoned out. It wasn't until a whooshing sound filled the room did she come back to reality.
Olivia looked at the screen to see her baby. The baby didn't look like an actual baby, but she could see the flickering of its heart beating on the screen. She started to cry, because she couldn't believe that this was really happening.
"Olivia, that's your baby. It's heartbeat is strong, as you can hear. You look to be around seven weeks pregnant. Dr. Moore will be able to help determine a due date soon," The Tech smiled. She kept taking pictures of the baby, and Olivia couldn't wait to look at them for the days to come.
Yet almost as soon as her excitement hit her, guilt and anxiety did too. She was keeping a secret, and now it was going to come out. Everything was overwhelming her. Soon, she'd have to talk to Dominick and decide how things would proceed. What made things worse was the fact Amanda sat and held her hand while her pregnancy was confirmed. Yet that baby growing in her belly wasn't some stranger's, it was Amanda's boyfriend's baby… Dominick was going to be a father.
Olivia went home instead of back to the precinct. She laid on the couch covered up with a blanket she kept after cleaning out her mother's apartment. She was so frustrated not only with the situation but also with her body. Of course she got pregnant now when she wasn't trying, and she just prayed everything went well. That sometime this year, she'd be holding a baby and getting to kiss its sweet little face.
Olivia dozed off on the couch, and as she slept she dreamt of the night. She had seen the footage from that night, but now she could hear what he said to her.
Dominick couldn't help but smell her skin as he made his way down her shoulder to her cloth covered chest.
"You smell like vanilla," He mumbled between kisses.
"Shut up and keep going," She panted.
It wasn't long before all of their clothing was tossed to the floor.

Olivia's nap didn't last long. She woke up to the sound of someone knocking on her door. She stood slowly, swaying as she tried to gain her balance. Olivia walked to the door and opened it.
"Elliot, what are you doing here?" Olivia asked, her hand grasping the door. She felt dizzy, and the door was the only thing keeping her upright. Elliot noticed the difference in Olivia.
"Are you alright? I brought some food, if you are hungry," Elliot spoke. He held up the bag and opened it. The moment the smell leaked from the bag, Olivia felt sick to her stomach. She started to gag, as she placed her hand over her mouth. She waved Elliot into her apartment, before running towards her bathroom. She barely made it in time before getting sick.
Elliot walked into her apartment and shut the door. He sat the bag of food on the table, then walked into Olivia's bathroom. He walked to where she knelt beside the toilet and pulled her brown waves away from her face. He kept her hair back with one hand and rubbed circles into her back with the other he holds her hair back.
"Let it out, love. Make sure to breathe when you can," Elliot spoke. They were both so focused on what was happening in the bathroom that they didn't notice Noah being dropped off.
"Mom? What's happening?" Noah asked, as he walked towards the bathroom, his backpack still on his back. Olivia heaved forward for a long moment, before settling back against Elliot's strong chest.
"I think I just have a stomach bug, sweet boy," Olivia spoke, her voice shaking as she still clung to the toilet.
"Can I help at all?" Noah asked, as he stared at his mother. Elliot turned to the boy and gave him a soft smile.
"I think your Mom needs to get some sleep. Why don't you help yourself to the food out there? I'll take care of her," Elliot smiled. Noah nodded and backed out of the bathroom.
Olivia took a shaky breath, before speaking.
"I need to get some sleep, El. I'm sorry," Olivia whimpered. She didn't want to accidentally tell Elliot that her stomach issues were actually morning sickness. Morning sickness caused by another man's baby.
She didn't plan on telling anyone but Amanda about her current situation for a while. If she told people now, her luck she'd probably lose the baby. Yet she knew she had to tell Dominick at some point. She also had to break the news to Amanda that Dominick was the unknown man.
"Go lay down. I'll stay and take care of Noah. He can eat what I brought over, and we can work on his homework together," Elliot smiled, as he grabbed a towel and passed it to Olivia after he wet it.
Olivia nodded and tried to stand, but was weak. Elliot lifted Olivia into his arms and carried her from the bathroom. Noah watched as Elliot carried his mother into her room. Elliot laid Olivia on the bed and grabbed her garbage can. He kissed her forehead and walked out.
The moment the door closed, Olivia was crying. This was all too much.
