Sorry for taking too long, but I've got a little edit going on to correct the grammar. Anyway, the following chapter will featured where a guest star that is an OC who made his appearance as long as I gave credits to a friend of mine, admiralDT8. Thank you for your patience and enjoy reading!

Amphibia: Calamity War

Chapter 56: The Core and The King

During that day where the Newtopia Castle resume to strips off the environment to build more army. It was that same day where all frogs and toads are evacuating the village. It was a harsh weather, but she and her associates take refuge to the abandoned tower where it once was stood.

The Toad Tower of the South is all what's left where most toad soldiers take refuge while it rains and went into hiding in case the robots were looking for them, but not for the villains. From across the distance, Maleficent looks up to the sky where the flying castle was far away from her.

"This is what fears like. Stripping off the resources to build more army. I never thought that it was wrong, but this is different. It's what I feared when more are growing." said Maleficent, watching the castle from the hole on the wall.

While she wasn't paying attention, Perry was still locked in a caged and it has been two days since he was on his solo mission to look for answers. He needs to get out of the cage and warns the resistance, but he definitely not want to get caught again.

Then an idea came when uses a hairclip as an escape tool to unlock it until it quietly clicks, then he opens the cage door as the platypus steps out quietly. Good thing she didn't noticed because she was staring up to the sky.

With no time to think, he runs off quietly when leaving the room. However, she looked back from behind as the dark fairy knew this whole time. Perry runs through the hallway to make his getaway until he hide himself by the edge of the stone. He wiped his head off with relief, but until…

"Leaving so soon?"

Perry freezes, then he slowly turns and his eyes went wide open when Jafar who stood in his way, right in front of him. Instead, he looks even more calm rather than losing his patience. Perry was shocked.

"You know I can't let you reveal our little secret, unless I have something used of you." Jafar uses his snake staff when it starts to glow red by hypnotizing the platypus with his eyes swirling. "You will go to the castle, find out what King Andrias is up to and when you do, report to me immediately."

With Perry being hypnotized, he salute to the sorcerer and then runs off to his exit. Jafar was watching him running towards the main entrance until he grins and sensed it.

"Let's hope he will survive while he's at it. Wouldn't you agree, dear?" Jafar asked as he looked back where Maleficent is standing.

"Indeed, I highly doubt he will survived." replied Maleficent when approaches next to him.

"All we have to do is sit and wait until he has returned." said Jafar.

"Perhaps, but what else do you think about the girl?" Maleficent asked.

"Which one? We both know that the other girl leads the resistance." replied Jafar just as she turns head at him.

"Then her other friend was taken prisoner."

From the outside of the tower, Perry rushes over to scrap Frobot that was already wrecked. The rain pours down on his fur, but doesn't have time to take shelter. He rips off the rocket jet, strap himself on his back, make a tap to charged it up, then flew off from the area as went straight up to the castle.

Meanwhile in Newtopia Castle, the rain pours when the thunderstrikes up in the sky. Just then, it didn't take few much longer by the time Perry arrives and then lands by the landing pad. He took off the jetpack, then he took off the hypnotized resistant goggle that he was wearing in case he was being used.

He shook his fur off by getting water out. Now, Perry rushed inside to find out more information what the former vizier is telling him what's inside of the castle or what's deep, underneath the castle. He first went to the hallway as he peeked out from the edge of the wall, then he moves on until he stops.

The door open when Perry freezes and stood back, up against the wall until a butler Frobot comes out from the door. It moves its head around in case anyone goes in or out. Then again, the butler Frobot moves on until the area is clear.

Perry wiped his hand off with relief. He just quietly sneak inside to the door and gently closes behind him. He turns and sees that this room belongs to a certain person. He has never seen this room was all covered some notes and sketches. Then he sees clothes that was folded neatly on the bed, with the boots on the floor.

He took closer and examined the shirt that has an emblem of "SJMS" in the center, but the shirt had a hole in between front and back. Perry shivers from his spine and felt a little disturbed at first. His guts feeling when something is not right. He folded the shirt and spotted the hatches. He looked skeptical where it could lead him.

Meanwhile, in the underground basement where a certain girl was once being rescued, but then ended up being captured and have her possessed by this thing that it originally came from the big machine, but it is now laid down after shutting down.

That is where the body was left lying on the ground, next to the rejuvenation tank. What turns out when this thing took control of 13 year old body as it chuckled after dismantling the girl's cellphone and organize the technology equipment.

"(chuckles) As we thought, this technology is pathetic!"

That is until King Andrias arrives, holding the tray like it ordered him to do.

"(ahem) Greetings, Marcy- I mean, the Core- I mean, Mar-Core?" King Andrias looked a little too confused. "Okay, what do I call you?"

"Hmm. Good question, big guy. Why don't you call us... Darcy."

"Darcy?" King Andrias repeated.

"Yeah. You know, like, Dark Marcy. It's a reference to one of Marcy's favorite video games. We searched her memories, and the name appeals to us." said Darcy, a new combined nickname that is a darker version of Marcy.

"So, is Marcy in there? Or-"

"No, no, no. This is her body, but we got her locked in a little room up here." Darcy pointed to the head. "We're the ones in control, although we've inherited some of her quirks."

"Speaking of which here are those cupcakes you asked for." King Andrias removes the cloche from the tray where it shows chocolate cupcake with white frosted on it.

"(gasps) Red velvet with ube frosting! Marcy's fave!" Darcy picks one up from the tray and took a bite of it much to her delighted and then eat the whole cupcake. "We can't tell you how delighted we are to finally have a body. Now then, follow us. We have a very important mission for you!"

Just as Darcy took a step, but then falls forward to the floor with metal clanking.

"(laughs) This thing needs some calibration." Darcy laughs and then got up from the floor with the wire that extends that long.

Later on, Perry has already went deep to the underground by taking the stairs until he has entered a secret garden. It looks very peaceful, but it was all too quiet. Perry walks in and looks around as he looked a bit amazed.

Just as he left, the creature lurks up and sees the platypus after waking from its slumber. When Perry walks into the basement, but then he heard some footsteps. He quickly took cover and hide himself by the crate until he heard that conversation when both Darcy and Andrias walks past him.

"So we need to purge our system of some excess data, redundant memories, that sort of thing. This requires a full system reboot, and you're the only one we trust you- " Darcy paused when Andrias stares at something, very unexpected. "Andrias?"

When King Andrias sees a ripped portrait of him, but not just him. It was himself and his friends when they were all younger. Perry quietly peeked out and sees the girl that still wearing her armor suits and a helmet with ten eyes. He looked suspicious at that thing on her head.

"Hmm. Maybe we're not the only ones who need to let go of old memories." said Darcy.

"Nonsense. The past means nothing to me." replied King Andrias.

Meanwhile at the Plantars' Household, inside at the basement where it was once untouched. Everything looks a little dusty since this certain girl used to sleep in. That is when Marcy phased through the hatch door by walking downstairs without even touching it.

The spirit girl looks around the basement and remembers where she used to hang out with her friends. Playing games, put up with the music band, and then talks about their own feelings. She missed hanging out with her best friends.

"Anne, Sasha, I know you're not ready to forgive me, but can you let least me explain? I tried to apologize to you, but…I don't know what to do." said Marcy when looking at the bed before she sighed softly.

Then all of sudden, there is something that was glowing from the outside that got her attention. She looks out the window and sees something, but she couldn't see where it came from. And so, she runs upstairs by phasing out through the door and then looked surprised.

What she was seeing when there is a ghost standing by the water, but the appearances is a salamander who is much older, wearing an olive robe and a light blue cap. He glows blue, all round him with his arms that was behind his of his back, staring at the water.

Marcy blinked her eyes like she has never seen this ghost before. Curious if she would like to talk to him, but her guts telling her that she should be careful when talking to someone that she doesn't know. She walked closer without making a sound and then she speaks.

"Um, excuse me?" Marcy asked kindly.

Then he turn his head at her, but what surprising her that this spirit can hear her or sees her. His face was a scar coming from his left eye, his left pupil however glows. Marcy raises her eyebrows in surprised.

"Can I help you?" The eldest salamander asked kindly.

"Y-you can see me?" Marcy asked, looking surprised.

"Yes, I am Cronaxx, and you must be Marcy." said Cronaxx.

"(gasps) How did you know my name?" Marcy gasped softly.

"(chuckles) My dear, you are the one that everyone's been talking about. But why have you come here?" Cronaxx asked, making her a bit nervous as she tries to remember how she ended up as a spirit.

"I don't know. The last thing I remember when I was being possessed before I ended up being a spirit."

"Possessed? By whom?"

"King Andrias, and there was that thing with…too many eyes."

"King Andrias?"

"Wait, do you know him?" Marcy asked.

"Why, yes. Andrias was once my old friend back when we were young. It was, but until he made a terrible mistake." replied Cronaxx.

"Really? How? What happened? Did you got into a fight? Does he have a son? He told me that he wished he had a son, but that would be impossible. Seriously, how did this all happen?"

"Alright, alright, but one thing at a time. Let me tell you something like I told the same thing to my nephew." Cronaxx sat down on a rock with Marcy sat down next to him and then he started to tell his story about Andrias. "Newtopia was once a home to all of amphibians, until everything's changed when our race was divided, the city was ruined and despair, ruled by today's king who serves with the mysterious entity."

"The mysterious entity? What was it?" Marcy puzzled.

"We all know when Andrias is not what you he think he is. From the outside, we all thought that he was once a very wise king and peacekeeper of all Amphibians, but from the inside… he's a villain." Cronaxx explained.

"But what happened between the two of you?"

"It's not just me, but his former friends from the past…"

(Flashback starts)

1,000 Years Ago…

We jumped to back to the past when it shows Andrias when he was a once at a young agewraps up a picture with a cloth after receiving from the paint shop as he walk towards to his castle where he lives with his father.

The whole city was an advanced metropolis that was governed by the ancestors who were once rulers. With all amphibians resides, there were some Frobots for those were serves to the king and assistance to the citizens.

Later on at the castle walls, there were two Newtopian guards, but with the toads that has their own Warhammer like guarding the entrance. Then Andrias crawls onto the castle walls, approaching to the toad l until he jumps down from behind and grabs himl by holding him in a lock.

"Aha! I'm disappointed, Barrel. Shouldn't the Newtopian guard always be aware of his surroundings?" Prince Andrias teased.

"Shouldn't Amphibian royalty know never to put a toad in a headlock?" Barrel asked, then breaks free from Andrias and kicks him down. "Another victory for Barrel."

He scratches down when slides his nail on the walls for another tally wall.

"Leif left a note for you. But it's blank, so I don't know why she even bothered." said Barrel when passes the note to Andrias.

"Like you, perhaps. We came up with a way to leave secret messages for each other." said Prince Andrias when he took out his glasses to read the letter that has the Amphibian Alphabet. "She's in the garden. Come on! Let's go!"

Andrias picked up his portrait and Barrel inside the castle until they reach to an underground garden. Once they have arrived, the kingdom's underground garden has so many plants like flowers and trees with water fountain running. Then they see a pink frog, Leif balancing on top of the huge flower.

"Hey, Leif! How's it going?" Prince Andrias asked, but Leif hush him.

"Shh. I have just perfected a dance that mesmerizes any creature that watches. Behold."

Leif gets into position to do a dance as the four of them watch. Then there were moss like creature known as Mossman, as they got attention to sway the rhythm.

Even Barrel was mesmerized by the dance, but Andrias looks away when blushing. And finally when the dance concludes, Leif and the Mossman did the pose with fountain spraying. Then Barrel shook his head off.

"Huh. What?" Barrel puzzled, then Leif hops down from the flower to her friends.

"See? Even the strangest interdimensional animals love it." said Leif.

"That was weird. Anyone else just blackout?" Barrel asked.

"Brilliant classic, Leif." Prince Andrias gives her a thumbs up.

"Aw, thanks, 'Drias. Say, uh, what you got there?" Leif noticed and points something behind Andrias' back.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Your surprise!" Andrias reveals a portrait, leaving his friends awe. "Tada! An official portrait of us!"

"It looks just like us!" said Barrel.

"Oh, that's a huge honor! What's the occasion?" Leif asked.

"Dad's appointed me to lead the next invasions." replied Prince Andrias.

"Score!" Barrel clap his hands.

"Say what?" Leif smiles.

"And I never would have made it this far without you guys. Thank you. I mean it." said Prince Andrias.

"Aww. Thank you, 'Drias. Now what are we standing around for? We gotta celebrate!" Leif chimes.

"May I suggest running through the hallway, screaming at the top of our lungs?" Barrel suggested.

"Sounds good to me. Let's go!" said Prince Andrias as the the three of them left the garden as they ran through the hallway screaming.

Just as Andrias gives them a chase, but then he came to halt when he approach his father, King Aldrich. He was tall pale blue newt with wrinkled skin and has a long beard. Most of the time, his eyes were closed. He's holding his huge battle axe like a staff. The king looked down at his son in front.

"Ah. There you are, son. Come with me. We have much to discuss."

Both Leif and Barrel pops up behind Aldrich while waving their arms at the prince.

"We'll catch up with you later, 'Drias!" said Barrel.

Andrias looks back while his father walks off.

"Sorry, guys. Gotta do prince stuff!" Prince Andrias waves as he followed his father.

King Aldrich walk passes some Frobots that were guarding and made way for their king with respect.

"Don't you think it's time to say goodbye to those childhood friends of yours, son?" King Aldrich asked.

"What? Why?" Prince Andrias asked while catching up.

"Because you're about to become king. It won't be long before those two start asking for favors. Using you." said King Aldrich.

"No. Leif and Barrel will never do that. Our friendship is true." Prince Andrias assured his father.

"Friendship doesn't last, son. Now, let me show you something that does."

As they approach to the large statue of Aldrich, he pulls the lever as the huge door open for giant newts to enter and took step downstairs to the darker place with lanterns glows blue like torches.

Once they have reach to the bottom of the castle, they have approached to the huge door with a mural that has eight eyes on eight newts and the only eye at the center, right in between two torches. When the king's crown shines a red dot while being scanned, it opens up the door automatically to the right.

King Aldrich enters along with his son as they walk downstairs to the chambers where everything has technology. Andrias was awed at first, but when his father turns around as the king prepares for the introduction.

"Behold... The Core." As of cue, the Core lowers itself down behind the king. It crawls towards Andrias while his father explains. "It contains the combined memories of our greatest minds, including your Ancestors."

Once the Core stops, it moves closer to Andrias, giving him a huge stare down as the prince was a bit nervous and creeped out from its appearance.

"Uh, hello." Prince Andrias nervous.

His father walks over to the machine after he laid his ax against somewhere so that he can turns on the hologram to show it to Andrias.

"With the Core by your side, you will need no friends. Now, about your mission, we will be invading a medieval world called Earth." King Aldrich shows the projection of Earth. "You must exterminate the savages so that we can mine their planet for its resources."

Andrias turn his attention to his father when a bit shocked while the Core move its eyes on the prince.

"What? Wipe out a whole race? Doesn't that seem a little extreme?" Prince Andrias asked when concerned. Then the projection is off before the king continues.

"Invading other world is expensive, and we need all the resources we can get for our way of life to continue. This kind of work needs to be done."

King Aldrich took something out that something like a key. Andrias was all surprised that his father is giving the key to him

"The key to the music box?" Prince Andrias surprised before his father hands the key to his hands. "But then I'm-"

"Officially in charge. Now, make me proud, son." said King Aldrich.

"Yes, of course, Father."

Andrias is much more happier that his father is putting him in charge of the invasion. He can't wait to show this to his friends. The Core was watching him closely, to ensure none of that will fail.

Later that night, Andrias leads Leif and Barrel to the secret room as they all snuck in where the box was being locked safe from intruders. As they arrived by the door, Andrias turns the key and six lights begins to glows when the door opens. As they walk in where all the portraits are, but the center in this room that column holds the Calamity Box.

"Ooh." Leif and Barrel were amazed.

"And this is where the magic happens. Literally." said Prince Andrias.

"Wow. So it's already official?" Barrel asked.

"It's not announced yet, but yeah." Prince Andrias answered, then turns and sees Leif standing on top of a pedestal, carrying the music box in her hands.

"Then I bet you'd get in big trouble if anything happened to this, huh?" Leif teased.

But much to the prince shocked, he tried to take the box back, but Leif playfully hops away and starts to toss over to Barrel when they decided to play a short game of keep away.

"Okay, guys. Come on." Andrias tries to catch the box, but Leif passes the Calamity Box to Barrel. "It's important to us."

But they wouldn't listen as the laughs continues. Barrel tosses the box back to Leif, but when she touched six stones by pressing it, she drops her smile and projected something random in front of her.

The stones give off a flash of light as Leif starts to see strange images. First she sees Amphibia left in ruins with many pollutions, then it shows the music box that was opening, the the malicious mural, the castle flying up in the sky, and then images of the prophecy where all three figures defeating a villain.

And finally, all amphibians running with fear as the red moon come crashing down to the planet. As the flash image has ended, Leif drops the music box and fell to her knees as she heavily breathes. Andrias and Barrel rush to her as they started to get worried about her.

"Leif! You okay?" Prince Andrias worries.

"What happened?" Barrel asked until she looks up at them with her fearful look.

"I- I saw something." Leif whispered, but shaken. "Andrias, if you go through with this mission, if you continue to use the box, I think Amphibia is doomed."

They couldn't believe what Leif was telling, then they give her some comfort to calm her down. Maybe tomorrow that the king must know about this.

The very next day, the court has gathered the royal councils to the throne room where King Aldrich was sitting on the huge throne while Prince Andrias was standing in front of Leif as the pink frog came up to tell them everything for what she has seen. Then there was Cronaxx at a young age, stood next to Henry, an axolotl blacksmith who were very concerned about the situations.

"I think the music box was giving me a warning. As a gardener, I know the dangers of messing with a fragile ecosystem. And I believe by interfering with other dimensions, we have upset the ecosystem of the multiverse. We have to stop using the box."

"What?"

"Destruction?"

"But how will we invade?"

"What if she's telling the truth?"

This made the councils were concerned and worries about the future while others disbelief. They waited for this time for a while now. Cronaxx was anxious to explore new worlds, but not getting anyone hurt if there's any lifeform.

"Hmmm..." King Aldrich, however took a moment, then the Core's eye appears on the crown and gave him the decision they wanted. Aldrich refused. "Nonsense! You sound like those cowardly Olms. You speak of fate and warnings, but the stones are our sacred birthright. They are unique to our world and PROOF that only we are destined to conquer."

"But y-your majesty-"

"SILENCE!" King Aldrich commands by slamming his ax down. "The expedition will continue as planned with the prince presiding. This council is adjourned."

As the councils leaves with some worries or disapproved looks at Leif until the throne room was empty. Both Cronaxx and Henry have left the area as well, while looking concerned about Leif's predictions. As the prince stares at Leif leaving the throne room, then he turns at his father after got off from the throne and step closer to him.

"Thank you for hearing her out, Father." said Prince Andrias.

"No. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Now we know the gardener is a traitor." said King Aldrich coldly.

"Wait, what?! No, father. She's not a traitor. She's just...worried." Prince Andrias took step back a bit.

"Are you certain? You've had that key less than a day, and suddenly your friend wants to dictate how we use the most powerful object in the world. I warn you about this. It won't be long before I join the Core, son. Our people will be counting on YOU."

Andrias felt his heart shattered that his father convince him about what lies ahead. Not only when he nearly let his father down, but soon the king will be joining with the Core. Once King Aldrich walks away from the throne room. Leif and Barrel peep out through the door and walk back in to see the prince.

"Well, that didn't go great." said Leif.

"Yeah, sorry." Prince Andrias apologize.

"But that's okay. You're in charge. You can just decide not to use the box."

"It's not that simple, Leif. Our society is built on these expeditions."

"I know it won't be easy, but we have your back." Leif looks back and sees Barrel gives them a thumbs up. "See, together we can use your power for good-"

"Look, Leif! Maybe you should focus on gardening and leave the ruling to me, OKAY?!" Prince Andrias snaps at Leif when took her step back.

"Ooh." Barrel wince.

"Ouch." Leif felt ashamed.

They have never seen Andrias lash out like that before, then the young prince sees her hurtful looks when he realized and he's now more upset. Thankfully, he was calming down for now.

"Sorry, that was harsh. I'm just under a lot of pressure right now, you know?"

"For sure. Now, I get it. Friends?" Leif offers the embrace.

"(sighs) Friends." Prince Andrias accepted as he gave her a big hug with Barrel joining them, but little did as they took no noticed when Leif secretly steal the key from Andrias' pocket and tucked it in her own pocket.

Later on, the king and the prince are marching down with their servant robots and some newt advisors. Andrias wanted to make sure he does his royal duties properly.

"Any orders for the portal operation tomorrow, your highness?" asked One of the Newt Advisor.

"Don't ask me. Andrias is calling the shots tomorrow." King Aldrich turn his attention to his son. "Show them the key, son."

"Hmm? Oh, yes, of course." Andrias reach the key from his pocket, but his emotions were turned into fear than he realized that the key was missing.. "Ummmm... be right back."

Prince Andrias sped off to get the key back from his friends, leaving his father and his servants behind. King Aldrich knows something's wrong when he looked disappointment toward his son. By then when Andrias arrived at the doorway, but he's already too late.

"Huh? Leif? What are you doing?!" Andrias shocked when Leif beat him to it.

"If you won't stop this, I will." Leif hops up and took the box off from the column as the whole light shuts down and prepares to make a run for it.

"DON'T!" Prince Andrias cried. Leif make a break for it when he starts to chase after her, right after passing two newts. "Wait! No!"

Meanwhile, Barrel was whistling as the toad strolling in the hallway, but he stops whistling when Leif runs passed him.

"Huh?" But then, Andrias bumps into him. "Hey! What's the ruckus?!"

"Leif have betrayed us!" Prince Andrias cried.

"What? She would never do that!" Barrel disbelief.

"I saw it with my own eyes. Come on. We gotta find her before she does something crazy!" He picks up Barrel and pursued her as they run into Cyrus' old assembly line, with Andrias and Barrel in tow.

"She's heading for the armory. I'll cut her off!" Barrel notifies before enters a secret tunnel behind a picture frame. Thanks for this shortcut, Barrel burst through the wall by his Warhammer to block her path. "Stop right there! Don't make me do this."

"Barrel. Please trust me. What I do, I do for all of us." Leif pleaded her friend.

"Leif, I-I don't know." Barrel was hesitated at the moment, but then his thoughts were interrupted by Andrias' shout.

"STOP!"

As of cue, Leif hops over Barrel as the pink frog got away so quickly before the furious prince shows up.

"HEY! Get back here!" Barrel cried, but the prince shoved aside him.

Andrias uses his laser sword to attack her, but she dodged from the attack. Leif uses a robot blaster to shoot him, dodges the bullets with his sword and deflected one another. Leif crawls through the air vent, leading her to the garden. Andrias got up and looked angry at Barrel.

"You had a chance to stop her! What happened?!' Prince Andrias shouted.

"She confused me!" Barrel stammered.

"Come on!" Andrias furiously picking up Barrel by his head.

Leif has entered the garden, then climbs up on one of the Mossmen that was a female. She woke up from her slumber and looked curious.

"Come on, girl. Let's get out of here."

Meanwhile, Andrias and Barrel were still searching, but then they heard an explosion.

"That came from the garden." Prince Andrias stunned as they run faster to the garden, but then they were both too late. They were staring at a wall broken from the garden room, and walks over and sees that gate was also broken.

"Leif..." He could only sit and watched her escaped, preventing from the ecological disaster to Amphibia. A disaster that he ignores thanks to family's legacy on the line. Something has changed inside the prince. Something snapped. "LEIF!"

A lightning boom as the prince let out his fury over the castle. Outside from the city, Leif is riding on the back of Mossman with the box she's carrying. She rode all this way with her might. The only thing is to seek help is the olms.

"We must find the olms. They'll know what to do." Leif lets out a small tears, knowing that she'll never return. "I'm sorry, my friend. This thing can't stay in Amphibia."

As the storm pass, the councils were gathered in the throne room where Andrias was standing in front of his father who looks very much displeased for the prince's friends actions. For the first time in his life, he has failed his father and his family's legacy.

"The worst has come to pass. The box has left this world. It is lost. And with it, our legacy." said King Aldrich coldly.

"I promise... I will do everything in my power to right this wrong." Prince Andrias begging to correct his error.

"There is nothing you can do, son. Our way of life is ruined." Then the Core's eye appears on the crown again and informs him that there was a prophecy. "I see... According to the old prophecy, the box will return, when and how is impossible to calculate. So we will wait, we will bury and preserve our glorious civilization until our birthright has returned to us. And only that, you could begin to redeem yourself."

All he could do is to correct his mistakes. Among the councils, they were very displeased with the prince for not invading new worlds. Barrel and Henry couldn't bear a look on what happens next.

Later on, Andrias furiously burst the door open to his room with Barrel behind. He was so furious that two of his closest friends has betrayed him.

"That slippery little frog has ruined everything! Her and her kind will need to be in kept in line." Andrias turn his glare at Barrel who also failed him. "And as for you, you failed me as well. I'm having you reassigned. You will travel to the outskirts and defend villages. Now, get out of my sight!"

Barrel was shocked. Not only that he lost his trust, but was sent to exile to the outskirts. He started to swell up his tear with his hurtful looks.

"(sniffles) Your Highness..." Barrel bows and walks away as the poor toad left the room.

All what's left was the prince stood staring at his former friend exiting his room. He turn his head at the portrait where he got for his friends as the prince steps closer. When all this reminded him how he used have friends, but now he have felt betrayed. Fueled by his rage for betrayal and then he growls to scrape off the portraits, scarring his life... forever.

(Flashback ends.)

"Andrias wasn't my friend anymore." Cronaxx finish his story to Marcy, feeling sad as long as he remembers. "With the box gone, I have foreseen the future when he turned and betrayed us, under his father's wings."

"How did you got out?" Marcy asked softly.

"I went panicked. I've packed everything and destroy the plans to make more of these. Outraged, he left me scarred with my eye and I got lucky to make it out alive. I have too, exiled myself from Newtopia. Our friendship is broken." Cronaxx sadly closed his eyes.

"I am so sorry." Marcy apologized, setting her hand on his back. "I have no idea how Andrias have turned evil."

"I wish I knew, my dear. But sometimes, I'm just not myself. I need some answers and then I came to Quarrel's Pass, went to the city of Proteus, I seek the Olm's help and she told me everything about the prophecy. If only I could see Leif, one last time." said Cronaxx as the wizard sighed.

"Do you have a family?" Marcy asked.

"Yes, his father found me and took me in. Before I died, I pass my dying wish to my nephew, Tint to send the message to the resistance. The invasion is about to begin. You must go talk to your friends. You and your friends are the only ones who can stop Andrias and this monster. Can I count on you?" Cronaxx asked.

"I will try." replied Marcy when she gives him her small smiles as the wizard nodded, but then it happened. "AH!"

Cronaxx worries when she fell to her knees and holds her head in pain as her spiritual body starts to flicker a bit until it stops. She looks up with her worries look like something has happened.

"Wha-what's happening?" Marcy asked, with her eyes looking worries.

"Oh, no. Just as I feared." Cronaxx looks dreadful.

"What do you mean?"

"There is a great evil that possessed your body. It's what I have feared. The darkness is rising."

"What am I gonna do?"

"For now, we must wait. We have no idea what we're up against."

Marcy stood up back from her feet, then stares at the castle right from the distance. Whatever's going on up there, something tells her that Andrias is not alone. She'll be prepared for the final countdown before they made their move.

Back at the castle, Andrias was staring at his old portrait burning after he toss it over to the fireplace. He remembers everything from over thousands of years after being betrayed by his old companions. The whole race were broken because of him, the entire legacy was nearly ruined because of them.

Andrias wanted to forget what his father had taught him before he died. The king turn his head at Darcy who was sitting in a chair that was rebooting and upgrading after telling him to do the mission. What he was staring is not just his master, but the girl she was possessed.

Back when he used to do everything with her. Playing Flipwarts, going for clues, studying together, and everything they've been through together, but thanks to his true color after revealing himself. He could hear a familiar voice that was stuck inside of his for what she said to him.

"We have your back. Together, we can use that power for good."

As he stares at her sleeping, until Darcy's upgrade is complete. Andrias let out his soft sighs, feel a bit remorse that he let the Core took control of this poor kid. He never wanted this to happen after everything for what he has done to her.

As for Perry, he has seen everything why or how the king has gone bad by taking from his master. Then Andrias walks over to her to turns on the switch until Darcy's eyes flickered around and widened. She looked very pleased with him as long as he was told.

"Alright! You did it! Gold star for you, bud. But now that that's taken care of, who's ready to finally start invading Earth?" Darcy asked so eagerly after got off the chair.

"Ready? After a thousand years, I've thought of nothing else." said King Andrias, having thought about it despite looking forward to do this back in the past. This just in when Darcy smirks at him, but with a familiar voice.

"Why, son. I think I'm almost proud of you."

Perry grew his eyes open when shocked, but accidentally bumps a metal vase as it fell to the ground, causing the two of them to have their attention.

"What was that?" Andrias looked, but sees that the metal vase was lying on the ground, then he hear some small footsteps running until it fades away.

"It appears we have company." said Darcy, knowing that there's an intruder.

Without having an option, they both knew that no one shall be allowed to escape just as Andrias gave an order.

"Kill him."

As of cue, eyes glowing red when it activates, then emerge that it turns out to be the Cloak-Bot for which it's another one and then began to pursue the intruder. With panicked, Perry managed to escape just in time before he was spotted, but then he heard something that's chasing him.

He first runs through the garden, passing by plants while the Cloak-Bot just jumps in and then stretches its arm to swing by the ceiling. The creature that resides here was frighting when hiding. Perry runs upstairs as fast as he can until he reaches to his exit.

He opens and closes the hatches behind him and then jumps out through the window. It won't be long when the Cloak-Bot burst the hatch opens and picks up the scan to find the footstep thanks to its x-ray view. Then it starts beeping when seeing the rocket jet.

The Cloak-Bot glares that he had escape, but not for long. It uses its arm by transforming into a gun and then fires where the rocket jet is until it explodes right out from the sky. The Cloak-Bot picks up the scan to see if its dead, but no sign of the intruder.

"Intruder eliminated."

The robot walks off and went down to the basement by closing the hatches behind it. However, nobody knew when Perry was so smart that he tricked the robot to fake his fate. He silently sighed with relief when wiping his forehead.

Good thing he brought another jetpack he swipe from the armory and then flew off from the landing pad as he flew away from the castle. He looks back for a moment and then moves forward to warn not just for the villains, but his owners and the resistance where he flew all the back to the valley.

Once Perry has landed to the ground, he took off the jetpack and walks back to the valley, but then he stops and looks up looked a bit shock even more when Jafar was expecting him to return after the rain stops from short period.

"I believe the word you were searching for is…aw, phooey."
