That evening Storm was sitting in her car seat mumbling away happily as Mulder drove to the park. Scully reached over and held her husband's hand as he drove. Mulder looked in the rearview mirror and smiled as his daughter was looking around as he drove to the park. Soon Mulder pulled into a parking spot.
"Storm, we're here," Mulder spoke happily as he shut off the car. Storm mumbled and pulled at her seat restraint wanting out. Scully quickly unbuckled herself and got out of the car. The woman went into the back of the car and unbuckled her daughter. Storm reached out and hugged her mother as Scully took her out of the car.
"Ready to play Stormy," Scully asked her daughter happily. Storm nodded eagerly as she looked around. Scully kissed her daughter happily and held her close. Mulder grabbed the diaper bag and walked over to his family. Storm mumbled as she laid on her mother. Scully smiled at her husband as they walked into the park.
When they found a bench to sit at, Scully set her daughter down on the ground before sitting on the bench. Storm slowly stood up as her father sat down on the bench as well. The toddler looked up at her father and grabbed onto his pants. Mulder smiled down at his daughter.
'Stormy, go play," Mulder encouraged. Storm grabbed onto her father's hand and pulled on it, wanting him to follow her. The older man looked down at his daughter and tried to scoot his daughter away from him. Storm cried unhappily at her father. The toddler really wanted one of her parents to play with her.
"Do you want one of us to play with you, Storm?" Scully asked as she looked at her daughter. Storm pointed at the play structure and nodded. The older woman smiled at her husband, as she slapped her hands on her knees before standing up, and following her daughter to the play structure. Storm watched her mother before walking ahead of her.
"Mama play with me," Storm mumbled happily as she walked onto the play structure. Scully grinned as she heard her daughter talk to herself. Storm very rarely ever spoke a full sentence, and when she did, she never spoke it loud enough for her parents to hear. The toddler soon looked back to make sure her mother was following her.
"I'm right here sweetheart," Scully spoke softly. Storm smiled and giggled as she climbed onto the play structure. Scully stood there close to her daughter, making sure she didn't hurt herself. Mulder smiled as he watched his wife and daughter before looking around at his surroundings. The man soon spotted a Ford Taurus that looked familiar to him.
Mulder clenched his jaw and quickly looked around. He saw his daughter giggling as Scully climbed onto the play structure to go down the slide. The man looked around trying to spot Matthew and Robert. When he didn't see them, he sat back and watched his family closely, since he still had the weird feeling he was being watched.
"Mama whee!" Storm shouted excitedly as Scully set her up to go down the slide. Scully smiled as she gave her daughter a little push down the slide and quickly followed her. The toddler eagerly waited for her mother at the bottom of the slide. When Scully got to the bottom of the slide, Storm excitedly shrieked and pulled on her mother's hand wanting to play again. Scully smiled and followed her daughter closely.
About an hour later, Mulder pulled out a sippy cup of juice out of the diaper bag. The older man slowly got off the bench and walked over to his daughter. Storm was playing in a sandbox pushing sand around as Scully sat on the edge of the sandbox. When Scully saw her husband approaching them, she looked up at him and smiled.
"Hey Storm. Do you want your juice?" Mulder spoke softly. Storm sat up and looked at her father. Mulder grinned at her daughter as he tried to offer her, her sippy cup. Storm whined at her mother. Scully smiled as she looked back at her daughter.
"Storm, do you want your juice?" Scully asked, knowing her husband was wanting to go home. Storm shook her head and pointed at the play structure. The older woman smiled at her daughter before picking her up. The toddler whined as Scully took the sippy cup from her husband.
"Shush, you're fine. I love you," Scully spoke softly as she gave her daughter the cup. Storm rubbed her eyes, as Scully slowly got up and walked back to the bench. The older woman kissed her daughter's hair, as Storm laid against her, and started to drink her juice.
"Hey Dana. I love you," Mulder grinned as he walked up to his wife. Scully gave her husband a surprised look as she looked him up and down. Mulder leaned in, stole a quick kiss from his wife before he picked up the diaper bag, and held her hand as they walked to the car together.
Scully smiled at her husband as he opened the back door for her. The woman leaned into the car, and gently set her daughter in her car seat. Storm whined as her mother buckled her in. Scully kissed her daughter before heading to the front seat of the car. Mulder ruffled his daughter's hair before getting into the driver's seat and heading home.
When the family pulled into their home, Mulder shut off the car, and quickly kissed his wife before getting out of the car to collect his daughter. Storm looked up at her father and wiggled, wanting out of her car seat. The older man quickly unbuckled his daughter and picked her up.
"Mama," Storm whined looking around for her mother. Scully smiled as she grabbed the diaper bag, and quickly walked over to her family.
"I'm right here sweetheart," Scully spoke softly. Storm quickly settled down and laid on her father as the family walked inside their home.
As soon as the front door closed, Mulder sat his daughter on the floor and removed her shoes. Storm mumbled as she watched her parents remove their shoes before getting up and wandering into the living room. Mulder smiled as he followed his daughter closely.
"Dada, movie," Storm mumbled as she looked up at her father. The older man looked back at his wife to see if she was following them. Scully smiled at her husband when she saw him glance back at her. The toddler pulled on her father's jeans.
"Um, let's ask Mommy and see what she wants to do, okay?" Mulder smiled as he glanced up at the clock. It was really close to Storm's bedtime and he knew she was due for a bath. Storm hugged onto Mulder's leg and mumbled. Scully smiled as she set down the diaper bag and knelt next to her daughter.
"Storm. We have to take a bath tonight, but if you're a good girl during the bath, we can watch a movie," Scully smiled. Storm mumbled as she hid her face in her father's pant leg. Mulder looked at his wife and raised his eyebrows. He didn't think Storm was going to cooperate.
"Mama cuddles too?" Storm mumbled. Scully smiled and nodded as Storm peeked out at her. The toddler slowly let go of her father's pants, and walked over to her mother. Scully stayed still and watched Storm, trying not to upset her.
The toddler mumbled as she grabbed onto Scully's shirt and laid on her. The woman smiled as she slowly picked up her daughter, and stood up. Storm laid on her mother and mumbled softly, obviously talking to herself. Scully smirked at her husband, before walking upstairs to the bathroom.
An hour later Scully was settling onto a sofa chair in front of the TV as Mulder turned on a movie for his family. Storm was cuddled up in her mother's arms mumbling happily. Mulder smiled at his daughter, proud of the fact she didn't fuss one bit while taking her bath tonight. Scully kissed her daughter, and cuddled her while the movie started.
When the movie was starting, Mulder got up and put one of Storm's blanket's in the dryer before walking into the kitchen to make her a bottle of milk. Storm mumbled happily as she watched her father. The older man smiled back at her daughter, before filling up a bottle, and warming it up. Storm mumbled happily as she cuddled closer to her mother. Soon enough, Mulder got the bottle warmed up. He walked over to his daughter and gave her the bottle.
"Can you tell Daddy thank you?" Scully encouraged her daughter softly. Storm mumbled as she looked up at her mother. The older woman kissed her daughter and gently pulled the bottle away from her for a moment.
"Thank," Storm mumbled as she reached for her bottle again. Scully snuggled her daughter and gave the bottle back. The toddler mumbled happily before quickly sucking on her bottle. Mulder smiled as he went back to the dryer and pulled the blanket out.
"Here Stormy," Mulder spoke softly as he wrapped the warm blanket around his daughter. Storm mumbled happily and yawned, trying to fight sleeping. The older man brushed his daughter's hair out of her eyes, and kissed her gently. Storm mumbled happily and closed her eyes. Soon the toddler was fast asleep.
"She's been extremely well behaved tonight," Mulder smiled at his wife. Scully nodded as she cuddled her sleeping daughter. The older man smiled as he got up and switched the movie to something he and Scully would rather watch. The older woman was watching her daughter closely as she slept.
"I love you Dana," Mulder spoke softly as he sat close to his wife on the couch. Scully looked over at her husband and returned his smile.
"I love you too Fox," Scully replied as she yawned. The older woman reclined the chair she was in, and snugged her daughter as the movie started. The toddler whined in her sleep as she tightened the grip on her mother. Mulder smiled as he got off of the couch and left the room for a moment.
"Where are you going Mulder," Scully questioned her husband, trying not to wake her daughter. Soon Mulder returned with a blanket, and laid it on his wife. The woman smiled up at Mulder and yawned again. Mulder leaned in and kissed his wife on the forehead.
"Thanks hun," Scully smiled. Mulder grinned back at Scully before he returned his attention to the movie. The older woman settled down, held her daughter protectively, as she tried to watch the movie herself. Unfortunately for Scully, she soon fell asleep.
Scully suddenly woke up a few hours later. The woman looked around the house and noticed it was dark. She yawned and laid back trying to figure out what woke her up so suddenly. Storm mumbled as she tightened the grip on her mother's shirt. The toddler was still fast asleep. Scully soon laid back and closed her eyes again.
As Scully slowly fell asleep again, she jolted up with a weird feeling she was being watched. The woman laid there, listening to her surroundings, trying to hear if anything startled her. Soon, Storm started to whine unhappily. Scully quickly tried to shush and cuddle her daughter trying to keep her asleep.
"Mama," Storm cried out. Scully smiled as she brushed her daughter's hair out of her eyes. The toddler looked around unhappily and whined. In her half asleep state, she didn't realize Scully was the one holding her.
"I'm right here sweetheart. I'm right here," Scully smiled as she softly spoke to her daughter. Storm whined as she laid back down on her mother. The toddler relaxed as she realized she was still cuddled up with her mother on the recliner. Scully rubbed her daughter's back as Storm slowly fell asleep again.
As Storm fell asleep, Scully slowly climbed off the recliner with her daughter in her arms. The woman kissed her daughter gently as she walked around to make sure all the doors were locked. As Scully peeked out her front door she saw a cars tail lights, sitting just a short ways down the road from the house. The woman held her daughter tightly and quickly walked upstairs.
"Hey Mulder," Scully spoke in a hushed tone as she walked into her bedroom. Mulder let out a small snore as the man remained asleep. Scully went over to her husband's side of the bed and nudged him the best she could. Mulder soon slowly woke up.
"Mmm, Scully?" Mulder yawned as he slowly woke up. Scully looked back out her window and noticed the car was gone. The woman sighed and went to her side of the bed. Mulder sat up and looked at his wife.
"Sorry Mulder. I woke up suddenly and it felt like I was being watched. I double checked the doors to see if they were locked. When I did I saw a car's tail lights just barely down the road and I had a bad gut feeling about it. When I woke you up, I looked again and they were gone," Scully blurted out. Mulder smiled at his wife, and gently took his daughter from her. Mulder cuddled Storm and looked up at his wife.
"I'm sure someone was lost or something. You know we're pretty far in the countryside. Let's get some sleep," Mulder grinned at his wife even though he had a bad feeling as well about what Scully saw. Scully smiled and nodded at her husband before she changed into her pajamas and climbed into bed.
As Scully laid in bed, Mulder gently set his daughter down in her spot between him and his wife. The toddler mumbled and stirred slightly, but didn't fully wake up. The woman rolled over and cuddled up close to her husband. Mulder kissed his wife on her forehead and held her close.
Soon Scully was fast asleep. Mulder smiled as he brushed his wife's hair out of her face. The man laid there and watched the girls as they slept. Storm whined and stretched, as she slept. Mulder pulled her daughter close to him and held her as he got as close as he could to his wife. Soon Mulder fell asleep as well.
A few hours later, Mulder woke up suddenly. Scully was pressed up against Mulder, still fast asleep. The older man yawned and felt around for his daughter. When he didn't feel her, Mulder quickly sat up in bed. Scully stirred a little, but didn't wake up. Mulder rubbed his face before getting out of bed and leaving his room.
Mulder yawned and headed down to his daughter's bedroom to see if she decided to sleep in her own bed. The man flipped on the bedroom light, and when he didn't see his daughter, he headed to his office. Mulder opened the door, flipped on the light, and looked around the room. When Mulder saw his office was still the exact way he left it, he decided to head downstairs.
Storm was sitting on the couch looking at a photo album. When Mulder saw his daughter, he smiled and walked over to the couch. The toddler looked up at her father as he sat down on the couch. Mulder glanced up at the clock before smiling at his daughter.
"Stormy, you need to tell Mommy or me if you leave our room," Mulder spoke softly Storm looked up at her father and mumbled. The man smiled at the toddler and gently took the album from his daughter. Storm quickly started to whine at her father.
"Shush. It's night night time. We need to be sleeping," Mulder scolded softly. Storm mumbled and looked away from her father. The older man smiled as he picked up Storm and held her close.
"Mulder, are you down here," Scully asked as she walked down the stairs. Storm quickly settled down and got quiet. Mulder kissed his daughter gently and cuddled her. Scully got to the bottom of the stairs and smiled at her family.
"Storm got up, and decided she was going to play down here without letting us know," Mulder told his wife. Scully crossed her arms and looked down at her daughter. Storm mumbled as she refused to look at her mother.
"Come here Storm. It's 4am. We still have to sleep for a couple more hours," Scully explained as she took her daughter from her husband. Storm mumbled and tensed up as her mother held her. Scully kissed her daughter before heading back upstairs.
Mulder sat on the couch for a moment, as he picked up the photo album and looked at it. It was filled with photos of him and Scully when they were starting to date. Mulder smiled as he flipped through the book, remembering all the moments he shared with Scully, including finally asking her out. Soon the man got off the couch, put the book back on the bookshelf, and headed back upstairs to his bedroom.
"Dada," Storm mumbled as she saw her father walk into the bedroom. Mulder smiled as he walked over to his side of the bed and laid down. The toddler mumbled and climbed on her father. The older man snuggled his daughter and smiled.
"Night night Storm," Mulder spoke firmly as he set his daughter in between him and his wife. Storm whined as she laid down and watched her father. Scully wrapped her arms around her daughter and snuggled her. The toddler soon settled down, and fell asleep.
"She usually is pretty good about waking us up," Scully commented. Mulder nodded as he kissed his wife. The older woman smiled at her husband.
"Yeah. She was looking at one of our photo albums. No idea how she got it though, since it's usually on one of the top shelves. It's the one of us right after we started dating," Mulder mentioned. Scully gave her husband a look.
"Thats weird. We haven't looked at that book in forever," Scully mentioned. Mulder nodded as he cuddled up to his wife. The older woman ran her fingers through her husband's hair and smiled. The older man mumbled happily and relaxed. Soon the family fell asleep yet again.
