The next morning, Storm was trying to open the bathroom door as her mother tried to take a shower. Soon Storm was able to grab onto the door and she pulled on the handle opening it. The toddler happily walked inside, shut the door and waddled over to the bathtub.
"Hey, what are you doing," Scully spoke sternly as she poked her head out of the shower. Storm mumbled and reached up for her mother wanting to be held. Scully sighed and looked at her daughter.
"I'm trying to shower Storm. Give me a bit, and we can go cuddle, okay?" Scully asked hopefully. Storm mumbled as she sat down on the bathmat thinking she was going to be able to wait there for her mother.
"Mulder, can you grab Storm?!" Scully called out, hoping her husband would hear her. Storm looked up at her mother sadly. The older woman sighed and tried to call for her husband a second time. Mulder soon opened the door.
"Hey why are you yelling?" Mulder asked as he walked into the bathroom. Storm mumbled as Scully poked her head out of the shower again.
"Can you please take Storm? I would love to try to shower in peace, please," Scully asked hopefully. Mulder nodded as he picked up her daughter. Storm whined and pointed at her mother. The older man kissed his daughter, and left the bathroom.
Mulder soon walked into his office and set up the baby gate in the doorway. Storm looked around as her father set her down. Mulder yawned as he sat down at his desk. The toddler slowly walked over to her father and pulled on his pants.
"Hi kiddo," Mulder smiled down at his daughter. Storm mumbled and pointed to the hallway. Mulder smiled as he gently picked up his daughter and held her close before going back to reading a newspaper article. The toddler mumbled and played with her father's wedding ring.
"I love you," Mulder spoke softly as he kissed his daughter gently. Storm looked up at her father and mumbled. The older man smiled as he looked at his daughter proudly. The toddler whined and looked down at Mulder's desk.
Mulder smiled as he put away the newspaper article. The man opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a coloring book full of animals. Mulder also pulled out a box of crayons, opened the box and set them on the desk.
Storm mumbled as she watched her father. Mulder opened the coloring book, found a clean page to color, and slowly started to color it. Storm quickly grabbed onto a crayon and started to color with her father. The older man grinned at his daughter as she mumbled away as she colored.
A half an hour later Scully smiled as she opened the baby gate that lead into her husband's office. Storm looked up at her mother and whined. Scully walked over to her husband, and pulled up another chair, and sat in it. Mulder looked over at his wife and snuggled her as she sat down. Storm whined at her parents.
"Hi, are you being good for Daddy?" Scully asked happily. Storm nodded and pointed at the coloring book her and her father just finished coloring in. Scully smiled as she looked through it. The toddler mumbled quietly.
"You like coloring with Daddy huh?" Scully smiled at her daughter. Storm mumbled and nodded happily. Scully smiled as Storm laid back against her father as he was browsing the internet on his laptop. The toddler mumbled happily.
Scully smiled as she picked up a few newspaper articles and read through them. They were articled about unknown creatures terrorizing small towns around South Dakota. The woman shook her head, and looked up at what her husband was researching. Mulder was sitting back in his chair as he read about skinwalker legends.
The older woman smiled as she reached out and held her husband's hand as he browsed the internet. Mulder looked over at his wife as she massaged his hand with her thumb. Storm mumbled again as she watched her parents.
"You know Mulder, it's nice, sitting here with you, researching the unknown like old times. This time though, you're holding our daughter, and it makes it even more special," Scully smiled as she laid against her husband. Mulder grinned and wrapped his arm around his wife as he went back to reading.
Scully laid on her husband happily. Storm was sitting on her father's lap, content just to be held by him as he did his own thing. Mulder smiled at the girls before going back to reading his laptop. Storm mumbled as she looked around.
"Stormy, can I hold you?" Scully asked hopefully. Storm nodded and looked over at her mother. The older woman smiled as she gently took her daughter from her husband and held her close. Storm mumbled happily as she was being held by her mother. Scully smiled and kissed her daughter on the side of her head.
"Dada work," Storm mumbled happily. Scully smiled at her daughter. The toddler was watching her father in awe. Mulder was very focused on his research. The older woman smiled as she held her daughter closely. Storm smiled as she looked up at her mother.
"Storm, do you want to go watch a movie with me?" Scully asked hopefully. Storm looked up at her father and mumbled. Mulder looked down at his daughter and smiled at her. The toddler rubbed her eyes and laid back against her mother.
"Hey Scully, let her stay here, she seems to be pretty relaxed," Mulder said with a grin. Scully gaver her husband a look, knowing what he was up to. Mulder looked back at his work with a smirk on his face. Storm yawned and rubbed her eyes again. The older woman cuddled her daughter.
"Stormy, do you want to go cuddle in your room?" Scully asked. Storm nodded as her mother hugged her close. The older woman smiled as she slowly got up, kissed her husband, and left the room. Storm whined unhappily wanting her father.
"Dada," Storm mumbled looking for her father. Scully held her daughter close and walked into her bedroom. The older woman laid her daughter in her bed, and quickly laid down with her. Storm mumbled happily.
"I love you," Scully spoke softly as she held her daughter. Storm whined and nodded as she cuddled up to her mother. Scully smiled and held her daughter close until she fell asleep. As soon as Storm was asleep, Scully went back to her husband's office.
"Oh hey Scully. Come in," Mulder grinned at his wife. Scully smiled as she locked the office door and walked over to her husband. The woman smiled as her husband stood up.
"You're really hot, you know that?" Mulder smirked as he held his wife close and kissed her deeply. Scully smiled as she returned her husband's kisses. Soon Scully pulled away and nodded. The older man pressed his face up against his wife's and grinned.
That afternoon, Scully was reaching into the backseat of their car and taking her daughter out of her carseat. Storm held her stuffed dog close to her as her mother picked her up. Mulder smiled as he walked around to the side of the car where his family was at.
Storm mumbled as she pointed at her father. Mulder kissed his daughter before taking her from his wife. Storm quickly grabbed onto her father and laid on her. Scully smiled at her husband as they walked into the grocery store.
Scully pulled out a cart, and Mulder gently set his daughter in the child seat. Scully kissed her daughter as she buckled her in. Storm looked at her mother and smiled. Scully returned her daughter's smile and started to push the cart.
"Shiny," Storm mumbled as she played with her mother's rings on her left hand. Scully smiled as she watched her daughter. Soon Storm was grabbing at Scully's watch before looking around the store. Mulder looked down at his daughter and grinned.
Storm mumbled happily as Scully turned to go down one of the aisles of the grocery store. Scully smiled at her daughter as she put some items into the cart. The toddler mumbled as she held up her stuffed dog. Mulder smiled down at his child.
"Dana, do you want me to push the cart?" Mulder asked happily. Scully looked up at her husband and smiled as she stepped away from the cart. Storm mumbled excitedly as her father started to push the cart. The toddler held onto her father's hand as she looked around.
"Thanks hun," Scully smiled at her husband. Storm mumbled happily as her parents continued their shopping. Mulder looked down at his daughter as she mumbled incomplete sentences out of her mouth. The toddler looked around and wiggled wanting to be held.
"Hey, stay still. We're trying to get groceries, okay Storm," Mulder smiled at his daughter. Storm hid her face in her stuffed dog. The older man brushed his daughter's hair out of her eyes and watched his wife. Scully was looking at some snacks for her daughter.
Mulder grinned as he checked out his wife. Scully was grabbing a couple boxes of snacks off the shelf for their daughter before placing them into their cart. Storm looked up at her mother and whined as she wiggled trying to get out of her restraints.
"What's wrong Storm?" Scully asked softly when she saw her daughter trying to wiggle away. Storm mumbled and looked up at her parents. Mulder looked over at his wife and shrugged. Scully smiled as she reached down and felt her daughter's diaper. Storm whined unhappily as her mother checked her diaper.
"Why didn't you tell us you needed to go potty sweetheart?" Scully asked as she picked her daughter up out of her car seat. Storm smiled as her mother held her close and grabbed the diaper bag. Mulder smiled as he followed his wife to the bathroom.
"Mulder, I'll be right now. Don't go anywhere," Scully said to her husband firmly. Mulder scoffed at his wife as she walked into the bathroom. As the older man relaxed against the wall, he looked around taking in his surroundings. As Mulder looked around he noticed Matthew was watching him. The older man looked around and walked towards Matthew.
When Matthew saw Mulder approaching him, he quickly walked away and ducked into a new aisle. Mulder quickly tried to follow Matthew, but he disappeared. The older man ran through a few aisles looking them up and down looking for Matthew. When Mulder couldn't find him he grumbled and walked back to the bathroom.
"Hey, I told you not to go anywhere," Scully scolded her husband as she pushed the cart towards her. Storm was mumbling unhappily as she reached up for her mother. Mulder started to speak, but his wife interrupted him.
"I was in the bathroom for two minutes, Mulder. Two minutes. Why did you leave?" Scully scolded again. Mulder sighed, picked up his daughter, and held her close. Scully stood there and crossed her arms.
"I saw Matthew again, but he seemed to be watching me. I went off to confront him, but he disappeared," Mulder tried to explain. Scully gave her husband a look. She didn't like Matthew either, and she suspected he was up to something. Storm mumbled as she grabbed onto her father's nose.
"Fine Mulder. Let's just finish up our shopping," Scully smiled at her husband. Mulder nodded even though he was hurt by Scully scolding him. Storm looked up at her father and tried to pick his nose. The older man stopped his daughter and kissed her. The toddler wrapped her arms around her father's neck and looked at her mother.
Scully was slowly walking around the store, picking out food items for her family. Storm was talking to her father, trying to hold a conversation the best she could. Mulder smiled down at his daughter proudly.
"Mulder, what do you want for dinner," Scully asked as she looked up at her husband. The woman smiled as she saw her husband paying close attention to their daughter. Storm was smiling at her father. Scully nudged her husband.
"Oh um. Spaghetti sounds good," Mulder replied. Storm mumbled as she looked around and smiled at her mother. Mulder grinned as he snuggled his daughter. Scully nodded as she finished picking out groceries and headed to the check out.
At home, Mulder gently placed his daughter in her bedroom and set up the baby gate. Storm stood up and grabbed onto the gate while looking up at her father. Mulder brushed his daughter's hair out of her eyes and smiled.
"Storm, can you play and be a good girl? If you can, we can get ice cream later, okay?" Mulder asked his daughter hopefully. Storm nodded and waddled into her room and over to her toybox. The older man watched his daughter for a few moments, before heading into his bedroom.
Scully was laying on their bed reading, and trying to relax before dinner. Mulder smiled as he shut the door and walked over to his side of the bed, and laid down on it. Scully looked over at her husband as he laid down.
"What do you want?" Scully spoke as she tried to return to her book. Mulder gave his wife a look. The woman glanced over at her husband. The older man grinned at his wife.
"Attention," Mulder smirked as he snuggled with his wife. Scully sighed as she put her book down. Mulder grinned as he wrapped his arm around his wife and kissed her on her neck. Scully smacked her husband playfully, and rolled over to face him.
"I love you," Mulder grinned happily as he kissed his wife. Scully smiled as she returned her husband's kisses.
"I love you too, you dork," Scully smiled as Mulder grinned at her. Scully cuddled up to her husband and sighed happily as he hugged her. The older man looked down at his wife and held her close as he snuggled into her hair.
"Dana, thank you for giving me a chance," Mulder spoke softly. Scully looked up at her husband and smiled softly. Mulder cuddled with his wife as they laid there. The older woman smiled at her husband, happy that she did give him a chance. The couple had two children together, even though they gave one up for adoption, and had a very happy marriage.
"Mmm, you're welcome Mulder," Scully spoke softly as she laid with her husband and cuddled. Mulder held his wife close to him as they talked.
An hour later, Storm was pulling at the baby gate that held her in her room. The toddler was becoming upset, wanting out of her room. Storm mumbled and called out for her mother. Soon Mulder and Scully walked out of their bedroom. Scully smiled at her daughter as she went to go pick her up.
"Hi sweetheart. Did you like your quiet time today?" Scully asked happily. Storm nodded and hugged her mother. Mulder walked over to the girls and rubbed his daughter's back. Storm mumbled happily as she looked over at her father.
"Hi Stormy. Ready for dinner?" Mulder asked happily. Storm nodded happily as he played with mother's necklace. Scully smiled as she kissed her daughter, before heading downstairs.
When the family got downstairs, Scully sat her daughter on the floor in front of the TV as Mulder walked into the kitchen. Storm watched her father as Scully turned on the TV and put on a cartoon for her daughter to watch. The woman handed Storm her new stuffed fox, and walked into the kitchen to join her husband.
"Hey beautiful," Mulder grinned at his wife as he started to cook some ground beef. Scully smiled at her husband, as she heated up some water. Mulder kissed his wife happily before he continued to cook the beef.
Storm watched her parents before slowly getting off the floor and walking into the kitchen. Mulder was cooking while Scully got out some plates and napkins. The toddler wandered over to the kitchen table and tried to climb into her chair. Scully saw her daughter and smiled.
"Hey, dinner isn't ready yet. Go watch your movie sweetheart," Scully spoke softly as she picked up Storm, and then set her on the floor. Storm mumbled as Scully tried to scoot her daughter back to the living room. The toddler whined and quickly wandered back to the living room.
The toddler looked back at her parents and mumbled when she saw they weren't watching her. Storm looked around the room, and slowly started to wander around the house. The toddler talked to herself as she waddled to the side door and peeked out the window.
A Ford Taurus was sitting on the road while two men were watching the home. The toddler whined and looked around. When neither of her parents came to check on her, Storm slowly started to try to reach up and open the door. Mulder soon walked into the entryway.
"Hey, Mama didn't say you could wander around the house," Mulder scolded softly as he picked up his daughter. Storm mumbled as she tried to point outside and whined. The older man smiled at his daughter, kissed her, and walked back to the kitchen. Scully saw her family and smiled.
"Where did you go, Storm," Scully asked as she set Storm's food on her plate. Storm pointed to the entryway and mumbled. The older man gently set his daughter in her chair and put a bib on her. Storm whined at her parents.
"Hey shush. You're fine," Mulder spoke firmly. Scully sat down next to her daughter and started to eat. Storm mumbled as she started to eat her food as well. Mulder sat down across from his wife and ate his dinner.
As soon as Storm was done eating, she started to become fussy. Scully sat her fork down and wiped her daughter up. Storm sat still and let her mother clean her up. As soon as Storm was clean, Scully took her daughter's bib off and set her on the floor. The toddler whined as she quickly scurried off to go play. Scully smiled as her daughter wandered off.
"She's been really good today," Scully smiled at her husband.. Mulder took a bite of food and nodded happily. The woman went back to her food and finished eating it. Storm wandered back into the kitchen and held up what looked like a wallet.
"What do you have there, Stormy?" Mulder asked as he stood up from the table. Scully smiled as she took the dirty dishes, and set them in the sink. Storm mumbled as she opened the wallet and looked at it. The older man walked over to his daughter.
"Storm, what did you find?" Mulder asked as he tried to take the wallet from his daughter. Storm whined as she hugged the wallet close to her. The older man quickly held his daughter and got the wallet Storm was holding. He opened it and smiled. It was his old FBI badge.
"Mine," Storm whined unhappily. Mulder knelt down next to his daughter and looked at her.
"Where did you get this Storm?" Mulder asked firmly. Storm grabbed the wallet and tried to pull it away from her father. The older man scolded his daughter and stood up. Scully soon walked over to her family.
"Dana, do you know where this has been?" Mulder asked his wife. Scully looked at the item her husband was holding and realized it was his old FBI badge. Storm looked up at her father and whined. Mulder gave his daughter a look.
"Mine," Storm cried at her parents. Scully picked his daughter up and held her close. The toddler whined as she laid on her mother. Mulder brushed his daughter's hair out of her eyes.
"Stormy, where did you find that," Scully spoke to her daughter as she pointed at her husband's badge. Storm settled down and refused to talk to her parents. Mulder sighed as he went to put his badge away. Scully kissed her daughter, walked to the living room, and sat down on the recliner. Storm cuddled up with her mother as they watched TV together.
"You know Scully, it's a little odd Storm had a photo album that's on one of the top shelves in the book case, and my FBI badge I haven't seen in months," Mulder spoke as he walked back into the living room. Scully looked up at her husband as he walked over to the couch.
"I do find that odd Mulder, but she doesn't talk, so she won't tell us how she got those items," Scully explained. Mulder nodded as he sat down on the couch and changed the TV channel. Storm mumbled unhappily at her parents.
"Storm, it's my turn to watch TV," Mulder explained. The toddler settled down in her mother's arms and played with her mother's hair and necklace. Scully smiled down at her daughter. The toddler yawned and started to relax. Soon the whole family was watching TV.
