Wishworld, Hawaii

A pair of siblings were riding off in their Volkswagen to the Hibiscus Hello Surf Competition. However, they ended up in the the Fortress Surfing Competition by mistake, where all the competitors were impatient and cruel.

"Looks like we won't be able to make it to the Hibiscus Hello Surf Competition," said the brother.

"Our hula classe is giong to be very disappointed," groaned the sister.

Starling Academy Cafeteria

Carrie was showing off her surf routine to her friends. "This is, like, totally tubular," she said. "I've been learning how to mermaid surf since I was four in Wishling years."

All of a sudden, Sage come in with some news. "A Starling spy was on Wishworld, taking photos of Wishling nature when she spotted two surfers at the Fortress Surfing Competition," she explained. "It's considered one of the most dangerous surf competitions on Wishworld. Last year, some of the contestants got sent to the hospital."

"Whoa," Lottie replied. "That's bogus. Maybe Carrie and I should go."

"Me too," Leslie replied, "because I've been wanting to learn about hula dancing. I heard they tell stories through dance."

"That's starrific," Sage replied. "And could you three do me a favor: my fiance and I need you to find something new for me."

"Something old?" Leslie asked.

"Like, something new," recalled Carrie.

"Something borrowed," Lottie added.

"And something blue," the three girls said together.

With big smiles, the three Starlings headed off to Wishworld.

The Fortress Surfing Competition, Hawaii

Leslie, Carrie, and Lottie came out in surfer apparel. Before they could take off, Carrie could spot a mermaid with her new telescope vision. The mermaid had long teal hair, a sapphire tail, and shiny blue eyes. She was Carrie's older sister, Jody. Carrie dived into the water, turned into a mermaid, and swam up to her big sister. "Jody!" shouted Carrie. "You're here!"

"My new boyfriend and I are, like, totally going on vacation to Hawaii," Jody explained. "So what brings you here, little sis?"

Carrie couldn't let Jody find out about her mission, so she said, "I'm teaching a blind Starling how to surf."

"Righteous," Jody replied. "Teaching the blind how to surf is totally tubular."

By the time Jody got up, she saw a gill creature trying to befriend Lottie and Leslie. However, they mistook him for an enemy. Lottie created a tornado with her new air manipulation. Then she created a powerful vision of herself.

"Carrie," Jody groaned, "that's my new boyfriend Masci. He's a gill creature I met while exploring the grottos of Jamaica."

Immediately, Carrie and Jody swam up to explain the misunderstanding.

Before Leslie got a chance to use a solar beam to take down Masci, Carrie used her siren song to calm everyone down. "Dudettes," she interupted, "this dude is my sister's boyfriend."

"A half-mermaid Starling and a gill creature?" Lottie asked in embarrassment. "Oops. I thought he was gonna hurt us."

"Well, I ain't nothin' like the Creature from the Black Lagoon, dudette," Masci replied.

Turning around, they could see the two lost surfers. To avoid getting caught, Masci turned into a human being, for shapeshifting was one of his powers. "Aloha," Carrie greeted, "as in hello."

"Yeah," the boy replied. "Many tourists keep getting the aloha hello and goodbyes mixed up. That's why we usually say, 'Aloha'oe'. I'm Kahawaii. This is my twin sister Keala."

"We were supposed to go to the Hibiscus Hello Surf Competition," Keala explained, "but our GPS glitched."

Little did they know was that Horriblescope tampered with the GPS, taking them to the Fortress Surfing Competition. "We promised our hula class the money," Kahawaii explained. "We can't wait any longer."

Remembering that good hippies shouldn't jump to conclusions, Kahawaii decided to let Masci and Jody help them. Together, the sea couple did a little water musical routine that sent them riding. Lottie, of course, teleported their bags and their Volkswagen to their real surf competition. Together, Jody and Masci did their little love rap.

After a few waves, Kahawaii and Keala lead the way, unknowingly taking them to the Hello Hibiscus Surf Contest. It was there that their hula class were waiting for them when the main instructor spotted the twins doing 360 spins. Everyone was so amazed by their surprise surfing, that the judges gave them a 30 for their score. By the time they got on dry land, they were presented with a shiny gold trophy and 3,000 dollars for their hula class.

When Lottie, Carrie, Leslie, Jody, and Masci arrived at the competition, they spotted a tiki glowing. As it turned out, it was another Wonder Wish: Patience. "I knew you girls, like, totally could do it," Jody smiled with a wink.

Observing the wink, Carrie knew that her big sister was the contact who informed them of the twins. "After the defeat of Rancora," Jody replied, "Lady Stella needed some half-Starlings to spy on Earth. I was amongst the few and long with my new beau."

"You know, sis," Carrie replied, "I like totally like Masci's singing voice."

"Really?" Masci asked shyly. "I've been singing at local school fundraisers and dolphin migrations. Someone has to make sure those cute critters get to their location safely."

Carrie hugged her sister and her sister's new boyfriend. "That reminds me," said Lottie, "we, like, need to find some presents for Sage and her fiancé."

"I know just the thing," Masci said as he escorted the four Starlings to a gift shop.

"My brother told me that the best time to shop for wedding presents is at a blowout sale," Masci explained.

Carrie bought some blue tikis, Lottie bought a pair of umbrellas with hibiscuses on them, and Leslie bought a pair of matching dresses.

Starling Academy Garden

Later at the school garden, Jody and Carrie were playing with their pet marine otter, Otswald. After doing a juggling trick, they heard Masci singing about the lost lives in the Bermuda Triangle. It made Carrie and Jody think of their missing father. "I never met my dad," Carrie lamented. "He left mom before I was born."

"Yeah," Jody replied. "And do you know Professor Lucretia Delphinus?"

"The Wish Introduction Teacher for First Years?" Carrie asked. "I've seen her. I didn't ask about it because of the relation confusion."

"That's because your dad is my brother," Professor Delphinus has said.

"So it's true," Carrie said. "You are my paternal aunt."

"I am," Professor Delphinus explained. "Your father meant to come today, but something came up. He was a Starling spy sent to Wishworld to grant Jamaican wishes. It was there he met your mother, who was a mermaid. Thanks to his special ability to turn into a mermaid, they fell in love and got married later on. That's when they had you two. However, he was forced to go back to Starland by Star Council."

Observing the family bond, Lottie knew how she felt about missing someone. Her brother Journey disappeared on Wishworld, and she was willing to find him.

The End

Note: I envisioned Anthony Ramos as the voice of Masci.
