Starling Academy Cafeteria
A bunch of Starlings were in the kitchen getting ready for a cooking class. Amongst them were Alesha, Carrie, and Tyra.
"Tell us why we're here," Tyra said. "We didn't even have lunch yet."
"You had to get to those hero sandwiches," Carrie replied.
"You'll get your hero sandwiches soon," Jody said from behind.
Alesha and Tyra were surprised that Carrie's older sister was here. "Your sister is teaching cooking?" Alesha asked.
"She is," Carrie answered. "A conviently way to introduce Lady Delphinus's brother, who is also my dad."
"So far," Tyra explained. "He was said to be a tour guide. Cousin Cheryl interviewed all the museums in Starland, so far there isn't a single tour guide that has met a mermaid in Jamaica whom he fell in love with at the same time."
"Maybe it's not a museum," Alesha figured, "but a field or a zoo or a nature trail."

After lunch, they got a urgent message from Wishworld. On their Star-Zaps, they saw a 16-year-old boy trying to get involved in a movie production, but he was turned down by the current casting calls. "Guess I'll have to go back to my old job at Leavitt's Latte," he groaned in disappointment.
"Poor Wishling," Carrie said. "We should like cheer him up."
"I'm coming with you," Jody replied, "because Audio Boom is down there."
"Audio Boom?" Alesha asked. "The 1980s band famous for their songs? My six older brothers and sisters listen to them all the time."
"Yeah," Jody answered, "and our Starling spies."
Alesha was thrilled because she got to meet a 1980s band/Starling spies.
Wishworld, Los Angeles
Alesha, Carrie, and Tyra were in '80s apparel when they arrived on Wishworld. Thinking back to what Alesha said about her family, Tyra began to wonder something. "I forgot," she said, "how many siblings do you have."
"Six," Alesha answered. "Lacerta, Pavo, Laporis, and Isonova and Alula, and of course you know Clover. When you have an extended family, it's hard to keep track."
"But we're a family too, you know," Carrie recalled, "Honorary, that is."

When they arrived at Charm Belief Studios, they saw the poor Asian boy rejected by the studio. "That boy's name is Konu," Carrie said while observing her Star-Zap, "recent high school graduate at Homer High, 18 years old, and was voted Most Dramatic."
Just as they were about to go up to him, Alesha heard the Audio Boom hit song, "Bass Promises." She was so mezmerized that she followed the music. Tyra followed along so she wouldn't go missing.
"Excuse me," Carrie asked. "Like, are you Konu? The boy who got rejected on the latest film, 'For the Record'?"
"That's me," Konu answered. "I never meant to insult the casting director. How was I supposed that she was sensitive about the 1950s? I prefer the 1980s."
"Don't worry, little dude," assured Jody. "I'm sure there's a movie that you'll be - you."
"What if I tell you that I'm a member of the Golden Roar Experience?" Carrie asked.
"That band who performs with the Star Darlings?" Konu asked. "I really loved your video at that pet fair in England. Smashing, I say."
"Sis," Carrie whispered, "get the other Star Darlings. I think think a music video might help him."

Meanwhile, Tyra and Alesha were following the sounds when it stopped. "Now's lets practice our next song boys," said their lead singer, "'Blame the Cosmic'."
After they finished the song, Tyra and Alesha came up applauding. "I can't believe it's you!" Alesha shouted. "Audio Boom themselves - Altair the Vocals, Jovian the Guitar, Seren the Bass, Aergio the Keytar, and Lyncis the Drums!"
The members of Audio Boom all had mullets, wore 80s apparel, and had 80s-styled instruments.
"Look at here," Seren smiled, "One of the Molensa Family members."
"I've mastered your hit song, ''Gazing Gleam." Alesha exclaimed.
"Easy," Aergio replied, "We have a mix-tape video to make."
"Mixtape." Tyra asked, "As in Wishworld's 80s music mixed together."
"That's it, little dudette." answered Lyncis "I hear you got good keys. Play it."
Knowing their 1980s slang, Alesha knew she had to play.
Unknown to them, Horriblescope was spying on them from prop Arcade Games, "This is, how they say, 'Bogus." Horriblescope groaned, "Nobody wears Shoulderpads for fashion anymore."
Horriblescope tried to humiliate them by pouring blue paint on them, but thanks to Altair's Bubble Manipulation, they were floating around used for special effects. As they popped, blue sparkles float around. "Righteous," Alesha commented.
"No one is going to ruin our Startastic jam session," Altair said, "Like, right, Horriblescope?"
Horriblescope was surprised because Altair caught her. "Why, you old-timers should actually learn to relax," he joked.
"Boys," Alesha said, "play that Olivia Newton-John song about the Muse of Dance."
"You mean 'Xanadu'?" Seren asked. "A classic."
As they were playing "Xanadu," Horriblescope started getting freaked out by Alesha's circus routine. She was so parylyzed that she teleported off. "Now that's one chick not to be mesed with," laughed Aergio.
"So there is an audition here?" Konu asked from out of the studio.
"Yeah," Tyra answered, "and there looking for someone for a male lead."
Inside, Jody was introducing Konu to Audio Boom. Aergio, Lyncis, Seren, and Jovian were thrilled to meet newcomer Konu, but Altair was more intrested in seeing Jody and Carrie. "Look at you two," Altair smiled, "grown up."
Carrie was confused, but Jody knew who he was - their birth dad. "Wait," Carrie said. "Are you saying that the lead singer of Audio Boom is our father?"
All of a sudden, Professor Delphinus arrived in 1980s apparel. Luckily, Konu thought she was the director for the film.
"Sorry I'm late," Professor Delphinus said. "I had to finish grading the first year's test on sibling-love wishes."
"Speaking of," Altair smiled, "I needed to like include my little sister involved, figuratively and literally."
Carrie was surprised, "So," she said, "It's true. You knew my mother."
"Tamara Taillsson." Altair recalled. "I remember hearing 'Xanadu' for the first time in 1980. I originally thought it was a lost city in Jamaica, but your mother corrected me and that it was from a lost 8-track tape played at sea."
"I remember when you introduced me to her," Professor Delphinus recalled. "Taking a scout troop on a trip to Kingston's beach where you spot him searching for 'Xanadu'."
"Enough chat," Jody interupted. "The rest of the Golden Roar Experience is going to be here any minute."

Over the next two hours, they performed the Xanadu tribute. The Golden Roar Experience were riding rollerskate while Jody and Konu were dancing in the middle. Professor Delphinus, on the other hand, was directing the video, for she was the band's original director.
After Audio Boom finished their video, Konu got a call from another director at Charm Belief Studio, revealing that he had a file mixup for the film "Snap and Glamour."
"Looks like the casting directors for 'Snap and Glamour' couldn't tell the difference between Konu and Konstantine," Konu guessed. "I do feel sorry for the Russian dude trying to get an American gig." After he left, a Rubik's Cube by the camera started to glow, revealing to be another Wonder Wish: Mercy.
"There's one thing I don't understand," Carrie said. "Aunt Lucretia said that you were a tour guide."
"About that..." Altair smiled.
Shimmering Shores, Starland
Later on, Audio Boom was giving a boat tour to Shimmering Shores, with The Golden Roar Experience being the main passengers. They were also enjoying some snacks that the Starling Academy girls made at Jody's lecture. "We have a part time job giving out tours," Altair explained.
"Alright, folks!" shouted Jovian. "Now you'll be seeing a bunch of mermaid Starlings, swimming the waves!"
With full understanding, Carrie and Jody knew that they needed to turn into mermaids. After a dip, they transformed from Starlings to mermaids and wowed the tourists. Carrie looked at her long-lost father.
The End.
