Hey Hey HEY! A little late but I have a reason for this. In all honesty, the next chapter was done...but I was severely unhappy with it. I wanted the next chapter to be about meeting the nine tails, but as of now, I feel that it was too soon in the story. I want this chapter to be at least a couple of thousand words more. I didn't ditch that draft, though I am not posting it as of now. Sorry about that. Anyways! Thanks, everyone! This story in my opinion is blowing up, and for only 5000-ish words that is unreal to me. So before I go I wanna say...I went back and reread my chapters and fixed most of the major mistakes. It shames me to say I didn't see them before, but hindsight is 20-20. I'm gonna stop rambling. Onto the Comments!

"Good chapter. I'm glad he is not delusional and moved on from trying to please his Family. I look forward to what he does next."

Thanks! I appreciate it...although these comments are great for my ego :) honestly please readers give me more suggestions. I want all of us to participate, and make this story a dynamic between the writer and the reader. Give me some arcs you wanna try, or characters I could fit it with. Please. It would be so cool. Thanks once again though in all seriousness for the compliment.

"Fantastic chapter. I noticed a couple of misspellings. One is at the start of this chapter. How much longer until Naruto meets the fox? please add another chapter soon."

Thank you! You are the first person to point out grammar. Even though I think I fixed that, I will go check once more. Thanks for the compliments as well,... but remember what I just said lol.

"Aight ngl this Fanfic Is gonna have to be in my top 10. Even though you do need to break it up a little more it's fine. The story so far has a great feel to it, like it's gonna be better than the other neglect fics. Anyways in my honest opinion, this should (after it's fully completed) be one of the most favorited and followed Neglected Naruto fanfics. Oh yeah, and What I mean by break up is like this...

"Hey, father how are you doing today," Deez said.

"Good also I got you a PS5." Deez's father said.

Alright but it's you boy Doney and I'm done with this Review. Peace. A great name for Female Kyuubi would be either Kyoko (Kai-YO-KO) or Kitsumi (Kit-SU-ME)"

Ok so pretty good input here...thanks for the vote of confidence as well, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story. I'm trying to find what you all enjoy reading so be sure to provide examples as he did. Also, hmm...Kitsumi...that...sounds good actually. I believe we have a winner when it comes to the name for her. Thank you so very much!

WOLF-GOST

"hmmm this is good in the wave mission you can make him a missing-nin and update soon I like your fanfic and make it that he can get the demon cat easy that would be interesting hehehehehe, AND DON'T FORGET LEMONS lots of it hehehehehe if you say no I'll just right lemon 100 times till you say yes to it hehehehehe"

I legitimately laughed at this comment. I just wanted to give you the satisfaction lol. An interesting idea he could abandon the village...I'd have to come up with reasons as to why but...it sounds relatively good. Thanks! Also, don't worry, lemons will come into play either next chapter or the one after that, so relatively soon. Remember I'm not some horny guy writing to get you're jollies off. This is a story. While I love lemons remember, they usually show character development, as well as quirks to their personality. Not to say it won't be kinky or sometimes even weird...THIS IS NOT A LEMON FIC. Anyway, though I'll be sure to include them every couple or so chapters after they're of age of course. :)

Guest...

"Maybe Yakumo Kurama as his lover?"

An interesting proposal. I would need to see a few more comments about pairing with Yakumo, but as of now...you my friend are winning! An uncommon pairing and a comment to help. Thank you so very much! But...seriously though...guest... :(

Thanks! I appreciate it wholeheartedly and, be sure to stay tuned I hope you will continue to love it.

"Excellent chapter. It was a good character moment for Naruto here. Him realizing that they essentially forgot about him is good so he can then focus on his training and move on. He doesn't even need to hate or love his family in the end because remember the opposite of love is apathy, not hate. He can forgive them in the end but feel indifferent to them. But this is your story and I am enjoying it so far. Keep working on the spacing, the second chapter was easier to read so good work on that. I look forward to the next chapter."

A very detailed comment and I honestly appreciate these a lot, so for you going out of you're way to do this is appreciated. I also plan to do that...but much much later. Although he can forgive them, that burning rage and sadness are still buried there. In time it will heal...but as of now, it's hopeless. Thank you for recognizing my spacing on the second chapter I hope I'm doing you all justice with that.

"Love it and great job. Please write more."

Thanks, and of course I will continue to write more.

"hope for another chapter soon and more in the future. I do hope that he doesn't have them raging moments come back and doesn't react to what is happening in front of him. not gonna lie, it would be good for naruto to have his diss at kakashi saying about abandoning friends are worse than trash. putting how his family easily discarded him could fit into it. I do hope naruto does not learn the Rasengan or anything to do with the family. I know they are sick and are badass when he puts different chakras into them. but I kinda want to see him use the prophecy against them like "there won't be any point you teaching me your family Jutsu. it's just gonna be wasted on someone not important. it is best for the children of prophecy to have all the special moves they can get to win. something like that. but I cant wait to read more."

Hmm, I believe your idea has some merits, although, they're a few plot holes I would need to fill, it sounds relatively good and I can salvage a lot of those ideas. Thank you! Also just to make sure all of you know...he won't be learning the Rasengan. WAIT HOLD ON. Don't yell at me yet! I plan to make him learn the Rasenyari essentially an original Jutsu or a spin-off of an existing one. It's called Spiraling drill and I personally like it better anyway. Thanks for the comment and input!

*Whew* we're done! Thank all of you so much for those comments! All of them were genuinely helpful and encouraging and for that, I appreciate it! More than you would ever know. Now time to stop stalling...onto the story!

Last time...

He deduced he needed an even firmer handle on his emotions. With a new goal set and his nindo all but forgotten, he began to meditate to feel his chaotic chakra flow. He channeled it into a steady pattern as once more it calmed him. He sat back up his mask in place. He needed to be better. Academy starts soon. It's time to get ready.

Time-skip four years. Naruto age:12

"Four years...has it been that long?" He was only just informed of the graduation exams. "Was I truly so lost in my training?" He had changed much in four years. Now he wore only Anbu-Esque clothes. Dark colors. Usually a blood red top and bottom. he also began to wear a face mask it only covered the lower half of his face, but it hid his defining features and he read that was always good. His hair had lightened. Constant reading inside had made his hair almost white. Overall It's been four years in The Hidden Leaf Village since Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze was forgotten. Castaway rather. He immersed himself in honing his skills so much so he lost track of all time. He had to make sure he was ready. To make sure he..." what?" He began to ponder...what was he doing this for? Did he forget? Why did he want to become one of these Shinobi? It felt as if he lost something. A crucial part of his existence. As he was thinking Chunin instructors Umino Iruka and Mizuki waltzed into the room holding a stack of papers. He began to speak..."Listen up, class!" All chattering began to fade out. "Today, are you're Genin exams! You will be tested in a written and physical exam proctored by me or my counterpart. This is the day that you will fail tragically or become a proud Shinobi of our village...Please do you're best." Once finished he began to hand out the written exam. Distributing them down the rows...

Naruto was deep in thought still. He thought about everything he's done these past four years. Ever since he had been cast away, he became a recluse, only ever coming out for the academy and the necessities. He just became another face in the crowd. He sometimes believed that even his family forgot him at one point. He mused. He trained till it hurt. At one point he knew this training was a way to keep his heart strong. To deny he was hurting. as of now...he didn't feel anything...he accepted it long ago that this was his life. His emotional training exceeded what should've been possible. Now...he didn't feel anything. When he gazed upon them. Heard them. Smelled them. Nothing. No pain, no anger, no scowls. An empty void.

Devoid of life.

A paper landed on his desk he looked up and saw his teacher passing out what looked like a...test...no an exam. He must've tuned him out. He picked up the paper and began to read. "These questions...are so absurdly easy...the founding fathers of the village, application of kunai and shuriken throwing, team situations...disgusting."He thought back to his training. Copying scrolls from his family's library...practicing. Jutsu after Jutsu, punch after kick, Kata after Kata. He dedicated his whole being to training...and yet this...was the test. He shrugged it would be an easy graduation it would seem.

He put down his exam. Raised his hand and Iruka collected it. The test was beyond pathetic, but at least easy. He began to think about what team he would be placed on. He was in the middle in terms of grades. In the Shinobi Code, it said it was always better to be unsuspecting and underestimated. If accomplished enemies are more likely to make fatal mistakes. So that's what he did. He had no need to show off anyway. He knew where he was at. He was most likely already Chunin level in skill. He still needed experience and a lot of it. So he once more thought about teams...his class was mostly heirs and civilians. Hinata Hyuga, Ino Yamanaka, Sasuke Uchiha, Shikamaru Nara, Chouji Akamichi, Shino Aburame...the Uzumaki Namikaze twins...Yakumo Kurama, and Kiba Inuzuka. Those seemed to be the only ones worth noting in his opinion. Sakura Haruno and the rest of the civilians were nothing of importance. He would most likely be placed on a team with one of his sisters...

As this was happening the Hokages, Jonin Sensei's, Clan heads, and elders were discussing this very topic..."I believe we should reform the InaShikaCho, it would not only recreate an iconic team, they already are familiar with one another, and this team is formidable in its own right." This was spoken by one lackadaisical Shikaku Nara. Looking around all clan heads seem to agree so they looked to the current Hokage and his advisors. "I believe that would be a wise choice, our militaristic strength and commandment will be strengthened by reforming the new generation of InoShikaCho: Request granted. "Who would be the Sensei to this team?" Minato questioned. "I would be willing to take up this team" spoke one Sarutobi Asuma. "Does everyone have any issues with this request? Seeing a unanimous no...Request for Asuma Sarutobi to take the InoShikaCho trio...Granted." "You are now deemed team 10." Since team 9 is already in circulation, who would be in team 8? I request Yakumo Kurama, Hinata Hyuuga, and Shino Aburame for a tracking and ambush unit. This was spoken by one Kurenai Yuhi...

So they decided on the Genin placement teams and they went through the list. Team 7 would be the tradition of the dead last/Kiba Inuzuka, Rookie of the year/Sasuke Uchiha, and Kunoichi of the year/Natsumi Uzumaki Namikaze...trained under Kakashi Hatake. The last team will be...team 6 Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, Mito Uzumaki Namikaze, and transfer student Sai. Trained under...

Shisui Uchiha, the Body Flicker...

Naruto was already preparing for the inevitable confrontation with one of his sisters. For the past four years, he and his family rarely interacted. His sisters were even rarer. It was awkward, to say the least, and he still remembered when his parents last reached out to him...

Flashback:3 months ago

After his continued self-isolation, he was once more walking to the library looking for anything to further his studies...when none other than his mother: Kushina Uzumaki stood at the end of the hallway. She looked worried if he had to say, biting her lip, fidgeting body language, she was also nervous he deduced, and just then...she began to speak. "Naruto..." She struggled to find her words..."I know things have been strained with our family...and I know we are to blame for this, but do you think you can stop avoiding us? The training of your sisters for control of their power is time-consuming, now even more so and If it weren't for the nine tails chakra fluctuating within the seal we would be including you as well...I am just so...so...sorry you had to grow up like this. Feeling as if you're a stranger within you're own home. Please include yourself in this family once more, it's tearing me apart just doing this...please understand...for me?" Naruto stared into his mother's hopeful violet eyes. Then he exhaled, he should've known this was coming...he just didn't think it would be here and now...he formed his response and began to speak in a calm tone of voice. "As of now I am no one, I have not been a true member of this family since I was around five, and even so...I hold no hatred towards any of you within this house, you are my blood family and this will always be true...

However

I see no need to involve myself. You have been fine without me all these years, and now I have found purpose within training and solitude, at this point, it's one of the only things that can keep me sane. I thank you, for the roof provided over my head, The endless knowledge within these walls, and the ingredients to cook my meals, but even that won't sway my decision. I harbor no ill will towards any of you...I simply don't know how to belong in a family anymore, I no longer care about the ties in this household. I no longer have the yearning for affections. As of now, I feel nothing. Now if you'll excuse me..." he began to walk away, his mind clear of distractions. If he would've looked back he would've seen Kushina's horrified face. She was devastated, her firstborn, her little Naru of 12 years of age, just completely destroyed any hope of rebuilding the bubbly persona he once wore. Destroyed the relationship they had yet to build. She dropped to the floor and began sobbing. Out of the corner came one Minato Namikaze. He listened to the whole thing and had no idea it was this bad. This prophecy had better be worth it...he began to comfort his wife...

If only he knew...

After that conversation, he started to notice certain things...his sisters paying more attention to him. For one they began to look at him as if studying him, trying to figure him out. The second thing he noticed was that they were leaving out meals for him, and they began to give him indirect gifts. He would thank them of course, in his apathetic tone of speech. He knew what they were doing. They were trying to influence him, nudge him ever so slightly, trying to show they care. Even the ever-busy Jiraya had talked with him. About the ties that bind and how family is important. How the world had too much hate. He hated the contradiction of that. Convincing him that family was important and precious. That there was too much hate. Honestly disappointingly naive. That got a reaction out of him. A visible twitch. He walked away after that.

Flashback End

Once more coming back to reality he looked around. It seemed as if he was the last one to leave the classroom. He got up and began to walk out of the academy. He thought back to when he was younger. He was lighter, happy, excited even for a new day. As of now, he was a shell an empty shell devoid of anything and everything. All he had was solitude and training. That was a comfort for the first few years as of now it was drowning him. He sometimes wondered why he was even doing all this. Training, solitude, and then he remembered it's all he's ever had. In comfort, he went into the darkness. Taken his sorrows in it until he could feel pain no longer. He wondered how it would feel to be happy again. To be sad again, but that was impossible. A goal out of reach he thought...

If only he knew...his prayer was about to be answered. It was in the form of a blood-red eye snapping open out of the shadow of darkness...

He got home, took off his sandals, and began to walk to his room. His mind was in deep contemplation. Thinking of what could've been and what he would've been like. He didn't even hear his parents in the kitchen who were coincidentally just talking about him. Minato expresses..."You can't force this Kushina! He doesn't want to be here...why would he stay here? Have we done any favors?! I want to make amends too, but every time I try I just...can't, and for that...I feel awful." Then Kushina vocalized her sorrow... "I just hate feeling like this! I hate having him close yet so far away! I know I deserve it, but I'm selfish I just want him to...love me again and to want to be around me again..."

their faces were one of complete rejection.

"Minato I-" Right as when she was about to speak, she heard footsteps...and saw the problem she was desperately trying to fix, Naruto slowly walking up the stairs. He had changed so much. Too much. His almost white hair, his dark blue eyes, those blood-red clothes and that stoic face. It hurt her thinking they were the catalyst to that change. she reached her hand out almost as if to go and grab him when Minato grabbed her arm. "You have to let this go. He will come if and when he's ready, unfortunately, he doesn't want to be around any of us anymore. You must wait. I-I'm sorry." With two sorrowful parents watching...Naruto trudged up the stairs. His psyche was clear once more. He realized something he never acknowledged. He was damaged. He had no objective: no goals, all he had was this need to train, to succeed...he didn't know why and yet he never questioned this need. For four years he always did what he thought was right. He needed to find his direction. He had lost it and This-thi-this emotional deprivation was driving him to madness! He had to do something! He-! No. He walked through the halls to his room and opened up the door and sat down with a sigh heavily. He would find a solution. It wasn't all bad. He had a handle on his emotions better than almost anyone. His mask must've slipped and once more, he let his emotions guide him. Let out for the first time in four years. He had to focus on what mattered. Mainly getting out of here...this house was too painful to stay in as of now...his remembrance of the past four years and acknowledging certain facts, broke his finely carved mask, he couldn't have that. Genin team's would be found out in three days. He would have to go for team placements. By then he would need an estimate on how many missions it would take to buy a low-standing apartment. being a Genin legally makes you an adult he had to take advantage of these claims. He laid down, all this retrospection and remembrance truly drained him. looking up at the ceiling, he closed his eyes and began to drift off...as the darkness crept into his vision and swallowed him whole, He fell asleep, into a dreamless rest...

I honestly am so sorry about the lateness of this chapter. School stuff came up, then writer's block, it was honestly terrible, but a longer chapter as promised has arrived. So we skipped forward to the Academy, we learn about the teams they will be in and how Naruto has been coping all these years. What he thinks and how he thinks of his family as of now has also been revealed. We as of now know his emotional deprivation has lasted four whole year's. All alone with just solitude as you're companion for that long?! The parent's thoughts have also been revealed. We have yet to see his sisters yet in this story. Not to worry, this will come next chapter. I was about to write about meeting the nine tails as well, but I need your input. How's it coming along? Good, bad? Anything you would change? How does he meet the nine tails? What does she look like? How does she act? I hope you now understand how important you guys are here. Please leave multiple comments and suggestions and I will look into all of them. I hope all of you guys liked that Shisui is back, and there is a reason for this, I have postponed the Uchiha Massacre. This will in my opinion make the story much more interesting. So with this information help me build our story. Remember, this story is just starting. I'm hoping the next chapter to be one of action as well. The next one for sure he will meet the nine tails and he will go on his first C ranked mission. It's the time guys. Thanks for taking the time out of you're day to read my Fanfic! Hope to see you here more in the future.
