"Dr. Oliver," Erick said as he stood in the doorway to his office and he was startled as he realized that Tommy had not come by himself. "Mrs. Oliver?"

"We need to talk," Kimberly stated and she brushed past him. He watched Tommy slowly stand up from his chair and the man barely shook his head. Apparently, he had accepted that his wife was determined to turn this PTSD session into marriage counseling.

"Kimberly- my specialty isn't marriage counseling- it is PTSD. If the two of you are having issues- I can suggest a counselor to work with you that would be more…" Erick started and he caught the glance between the two of them. "You have PTSD, too."

"Yes, to a lesser degree than him and I'm not sure if this is a PTSD reaction or something else. That's why I'm here," Kimberly said and he watched Tommy settle down in his normal chair and turn silent. Something else was going on here, something that did affect their marriage- but was also a huge trigger for Kimberly. "He's been called back in."

"Called back in to what?" Erick asked and he headed over to turn on his recording equipment. Tommy subtly blocked him and barely shook his head. His concern spiked as he looked between the two of them. What could possibly be so bad that they would refuse him this ability to take notes? "Part of my job is taking notes."

"And part of my job is to make sure there are no notes about what I do. Erick, I'm asking that you not take notes on my job. But you need the context, especially with what is coming," Tommy stated and he closed his eyes. He had never suspected that what Tommy dealt with was illegal. He wished that that had crossed his mind before now.

"If you are about to confess to being part of the mob- I will have to report that," Erick stated. He watched Kimberly chuckle and Tommy shook his head. Not the mob. Well at least that was good- but what was possibly akin to the mob that would be legal?

"He has been called back to be a mentor, again, for the Power Rangers. He promised me he was out," Kim forced out and Erick watched as Tommy closed his eyes and let out a long sigh. He was processing what she said and the realization slowly dawned on him. He was treating a Power Ranger. It explained so much about Tommy. It also was one hell of a shock.

"It finds me, Kimberly. And every time I have fought it, things wind up drastically worse. I cannot risk the three of you. Doing my part will keep you safe. It will keep our family safe," Tommy retorted and Erick stumbled over to his desk and collapsed into his chair. Power Rangers. The two of them were Power Rangers. He was the therapist for Power Rangers. There was no guideline on what to do when your patient told you that they were fighting monsters on a regular basis and he knew Tommy was not crazy. The story they were telling him was the truth.

"I don't need to be kept safe. I need you out of this. I need this life to leave us alone. We have more than paid our dues. What more does this world want to take from us?" Kimberly shrieked and he heard the growl come out of Tommy's throat. He looked up long enough to see that he was not going to harm his wife and then went back to his own freak out.

"Hun, I want that, but it's not going to happen. You saw what the Command Center said- you saw what we were both labeled as. It will send us the rangers, every time. Until some other mentor comes along and last time I checked- there isn't anyone else right now that comes even remotely close to filling the qualifications," Tommy forced out and then quickly wiped at his eyes. He was so aggravated about all of this, but he knew that he couldn't change it. He was terrified that he would lose her and he desperately wanted to prevent that, that was the only reason he agreed with her coming along. "You know I would give it all up. You know I have tried to give it all up. Hell- I've been in therapy to deal with the last 20 years because I thought that would help me get over it and stay away from it. It is not my fault that it came back for me."

"Hold on- I need the both of you to stop for a moment," Erick said as he found his voice and the two of them pegged him with a harsh gaze. "You're Power Rangers?"

"Yes," they said in eerie unison.

"You're now being forced into mentoring?"

"Yes."

"Neither of you want this?"

"Yes."

"Can't you just walk away?"

"No." they said in unison and he watched as they looked at each other. Kimberly broke first and as her tears spilled over Tommy gathered her to him, his own tears coming shortly thereafter.

"Why is that upsetting?" Erick asked and he watched Tommy pull himself together enough to answer. He could appreciate the gargantuan effort that it was for Tommy. There was a weight on the man that had not been there before that question.

"Because we're the only ones left that could be mentors. The rest of them were murdered last year," Tommy forced out before a sob left his lips and he returned to clutching to his wife. That knowledge slowly settled over Erick. Tommy had let on that he had lost people, but it had never crossed his mind that it might be at this magnitude. It explained so much.

In his professional career- he had rarely been struck speechless, but he was completely speechless. How much had the two of them been through? When they said that they were the only ones left- how many had been lost? What did trauma look like as a Power Ranger? Why did they have to be mentors? There was so much to get to the bottom of at this time.

"You don't want to be a mentor?" Kimberly whispered and he watched the moment pass between them. The weight that was on Tommy felt immense, but he could see how much he didn't want it. He could also see that he was resigned to this being a part of his life. Apparently, Kimberly thought that he wanted this in their lives.

"I meant it when I said that I wanted to get out, but I also realized how hard that was going to be. I hoped for the both of us that this wouldn't happen. That nothing would come for me again," Tommy whispered and he rocked the two of them back and forth.

"I…I don't know if I can have this in my life," Kim stated and he watched Tommy move to settle her on the couch. It had to hurt to hear his wife say that, to hear her say that she might not be able to be there for him in this. "I got out. Nothing came for me."

"And I'm a once in, well, ever…ranger. We keep being told that at every turn. I don't want this to end us, but I also know that this is just going to keep turning up in my life- no matter how much I try to run," Tommy stated and he reached out his hand to rest against Kimberly's lower abdomen. It was then that Erick realized how much Tommy would lose if Kimberly left. "I can't make you okay with this. All I can ask is if there is anything I can do to make it bearable?"

"If I may…" Erick interjected and Tommy turned to face him and he watched as Kimberly clutched onto Tommy's hands. As much as she hated him being a mentor, she was more terrified of something else. "Kimberly- what scares you the most about this?"

"Hun…" Tommy whispered as the concern flooded his features. It was obvious that it had not struck Tommy that Kimberly might be more scared than anything else. "What is it?"

"What if you don't come back?" Kimberly forced out and her sobs soon filled the room. Erick watched as Tommy hung his head and then hesitantly moved closer to her, before she collapsed against his shoulder. "What if…I nearly lost you…I can't…"

"I know," Tommy whispered. "I know."

Erick placed a hand on Tommy's shoulder and nodded towards the door. Tommy barely nodded and then turned his attention back to his wife. Erick closed the door behind him and looked over at his secretary. This is not how he had expected his morning to go.

"Dr. Schutlely?" Miranda asked and he forced himself back to the present.

"I need you to cancel the rest of my morning appointments," Erick stated and Miranda barely nodded. He tried hard not to do this, but he knew that this was going to take them awhile and that this was not something that could be covered in an hour session. He also knew that he was going to need several hours to get over the shock he had taken. Apparently, he was now treating Power Rangers.
